Darcy Lewis sighed for the umpteenth time as she stared at Charlie Weasley’s hard abs while he worked out, and she was supposed to be coming up with a plan to incorporate dragons. Like how the hell am I supposed to come up with this? Thanks Phil for partnering me with this really cute mysterious dragon tamer from England. Plus he’s a freaking wizard! And I can’t tell Jane that? Even though we met Thor and Loki?
Darcy ‘pffted at herself as she typed away on her keyboard, occasionally glancing up to see if he was still working out.
“BOO!” Charlie shouted amusedly, scaring her half to death.
“Dude! Why the hell did you feel like you needed to scare me half to death?” Darcy wanted to scold Mr. Dragon Tamer. One glance in his brown eyes, she relented.
“One, you need to relax Darcy! My dragons are super smart. Well Norbert is. If we throw the Hungarian Horntail in as well, those bad guys wouldn’t know what hit him!” Charlie’s dashing smile was causing her to swoon when he whipped the towel across the back of his neck.
“You know what? We need a vacay! And I know just the place!” Darcy turned around and booked two tickets to Disneyland.
“I’ve always wanted to go to a muggle theme park. Hermione told me how exciting they are!” Charlie’s voice hitched in surprise as he studied the webpage she was scrolling down. “Can we go there?” Charlie pointed to Star Wars Galaxy Edge.
“Sure! I’m a huge Star Wars fan and do you have plenty of gallons? Because I’m sure I would want to buy gifts!”
Charlie grinned, “Mom will really like you! Oh and by the way…here is your gift from her.” He handed Darcy a wrapped package.
“Ooh, I wonder what it is!” Darcy gleefully tore open the package and held up a new knitted beanie with the letter D stitched on the side. Darcy exclaimed, “Yay! I know I’ll fit right in!” as she replaced her old beanie with the new before asking “How do I look?”
“Smashing!” Charlie was leaning in for a kiss and got interrupted, when their phones beeped.
Trying not to be so aggravated when he was interrupted to declare his love for Darcy, Charlie answered his cell phone, “Hello?”
Darcy picked up hers and answered, “Hello?”
“Good! You two have been reassigned to Disneyland! Immerse yourselves in the theme park as you have been working hard for us and deserve a month’s vacation with expenses paid!” Phil Coulson proclaimed to them wishing that he could see the look on their faces.
“Really?”
“Merlin, yes!!!!” Charlie fist pumped the air as he was thrilled for his first real vacation with the muggle lady he liked.
“Is this because I googled Disneyland?” Darcy whispered into her phone at Phil.
“No! Not at all! A generous donor wanted the two of you to enjoy the time off! Now have fun and that’s an order! Your plane leaves tonight.” Phil reminded them as he ended the call.
The two stared at each other and went to check their emails to see the itinerary. “Plane leaves at 5. Shit we don’t have that much time to pack!” Darcy declared as she looked at her watch saying 2:30.
They rushed around to gather their clothes and suitcases. It took them a good twenty minutes to pack, take the car to the airport and check in. Once Darcy and Charlie boarded, they relaxed in their seats.
The movie Aladdin was playing, and Darcy began filling Charlie in on who the characters were. “You know Jafar kind of reminds me of you-know-who,” he whispered into her ear while sipping on cola.
Once the plane landed, they hailed a taxi and went to the Art of Animation Hotel and checked in. Luckily for them, it was next to Galaxy Edge.
Charlie got a ding on his iphone and jumped up and down excitedly. “Hey Darcy, come on we can make it to the ride of the Resistance!” He pulled her in close and disapparated. Charlie apparated at the apparition point next to the ride and they rushed quickly.
“Do we have our fast passes?” Darcy breathlessly looked at her wrist and curiosity set it on how she would have placed it there so quickly.
“Charlie, did you…” Her voice trailed off as he showed the imperial officer the barcode to ride.
Darcy was amazed at how well they did this excellent ride when the simulator ride took them in space. “Oooh…this is so awesome! Charlie I think…” She was going to declare her love for him when the ship was getting boarded by the first order.
Things happened so quickly as they hurried to the first destination, which is to be interrogated by Kylo Ren. “Where is the rebel base?” Kylo spoke authoritatively as he gazed at the audience below. When he didn’t receive an answer, he sternly spoke,“General, I will deal with this later” and his robes billowed from behind him as General Hux followed.
“Wow! Professor Snape’s robes did that!” Charlie whispered into Darcy’s ear as he was filming the ride to show the family back home.
Darcy wanted to reply but they were quickly ushered into the next part of the ride which was them escaping the First Order. “And don’t get caught!” Finn’s voice echoed throughout the room while Darcy assumed it was a bumper car ride escorting them towards the exit.
Towards the end, Charlie and Darcy followed the group into the gift shop. “This is so awesome!” They pointed out the different items and picked some up and t-shirts.
“Do you have the company card?” Charlie spoke softly to Darcy and she grinned at him.
With their gifts purchased, they went to eat at Ronto Roasters for a quick meal before trying out the other rides.
Exhausted from exploring Galaxy’s Edge, they turned in late. Darcy looked at her watch, and it said half past midnight as she stifled a yawn. “Hey Charlie, this was a fabulous day and I love…” She didn’t finish her sentence as she heard snoring coming from the bed.
Charlie, still fully clothed, had crashed on the bed as soon as they had arrived home.
Darcy shook her head thinking of what they could do for fun next. Hopefully I can tell him that I love him without interruptions. She looked away from her laptop and saw how Charlie was sprawled on the bed, sleeping soundly.
“Awe…he’s so cute sleeping like that.” Darcy tilted her head slightly to check him out.
Then her attention was drawn to one theme park in Universal Studios Hollywood. “Harry Potter land it is!” She purchased the tickets and some more tickets to the main Disneyland park.
Darcy stifled a yawn and saw it was 2 am. “Damn, I need my sleep.” She got up and changed her clothes. Taking Charlie’s shoes off as she slid underneath the covers, she instantly fell asleep.
Charlie stirred when he heard the beep from his watch as he woke up to find Darcy snuggling close to him. He grinned as his hand stroked her dark wavy hair. I wonder if she has a nice bloke…or if she is single? He has felt this attraction towards her the first day they meet.
Everytime it seems we get interrupted when we try to declare our love for each other. Charlie sighed and bent down to kiss her softly.
“Hmmmm…morning sunshine.” Darcy murmured sleepily at him, quite liking the feel of his lips on hers.
“If we hurry, we can make it for breakfast!” Charlie spurred her into motion as they showered, dressed, grabbed what they needed and headed downstairs.
Once filled with the delicious breakfast, Darcy suggested,”Hey how about we visit Harry Potter land!” while holding the tickets in her hand.
Charlie’s eyes widened in surprise, “Neat! I can do a comparison if they have got it right for once.”
“So you don’t mind if we do Disneyland main park tomorrow?” Darcy asked as she leaned in close to smell Charlie’s cologne.
He placed an arm around her waist pulling her close to his body, “You heard Phil. We’re supposed to have fun and Darcy…”
“Yes Charlie…”
“I love…”
They heard a knock on the door and both groaned in frustration. Charlie went to open the door to reveal the concierge with some more goodies for them. “Compliments from the hotel.” the concierge smiled at them and handed the package over. He left quickly before they could tip the guy.
“Strange.”
“Yes, very strange,” Charlie stated as he took his wand out to find out if the package was suspicious or not. When Darcy got a phone call, she answered it.
“Hello.”
“Darcy! Did you get my package this morning?” Phil asked curiously as she was eyeing the package in Charlie’s hand.
“Yes, why? We thought it would be suspicious.”
Phil chuckled, “No! It's for the water park. We want you two to check it out.”
Charlie opened the package and saw the tickets for the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor park and some other items. “We’ve received the package for thursday! Alright! First time going to a water park as well!”
Darcy shook her head and replied, “Of course we will! Thanks Phil!”
“No problem and have fun!”
“Well, you heard the man. Let’s go check out the remaining parks on our list.” Darcy grabbed her list and they headed out the door.
