"He won...Regal's respect, holy shit..." Blitz said aloud to herself.
"Orange, are you-" she turned, watching him, arms crossed but watching him.
"Orange?"
Orange walked in back and froth from point A to point B, back and forth. It wasn't like him. She looked back at the monitors. Yuta?
Oh...
She heard him let out a heavy sigh, feet coming to a stop, just breathing now.
"I thought..." he let out a small chuckle, "I thought you were going to watch him! You promised me...and now...I can't get him back!"
Orange was crying, tears falling behind his shades, he took them off. Now she could see the glimmer of tears in his eyes. He was crying, he was sad, he was devastated...
Over Yuta...who she failed to watch. Failed to keep a promise to Orange... she failed...
But that wasn't her fault...he should have cared more about how his protégé felt! Not her!
"Orange...I CANNOT BE WATCHING HIM ALL THE TIME!"
"YOU MADE A PROMISE TO BE! A PROMISE TO WATCH HIM, SO THIS," he gestured to the monitors, "THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN, AND NOW-" he choked, "now...he's gone..."
Orange was crying...he dropped to his knees holding himself. Blitz sighed. She moved, he didn't but she moved, closer.
He didn't even bat an eye at when she came to sit down. Why, why was she even caring about that right now? Orange was crying. CRYING.
What the hell type of wife is she if she didn't comfort her husband? She moved tell they were stapled to each other's side.
They didn't look at each other, they just breathed. They breathed there in that hallway, together.
She made him cry...she failed...She made her Angel cry...she...
"I'm sorry..." Orange started, surprising her. She looked over, tears still present but there. She moved her hand to wipe them away, pulling his face up to her's, resting her forehead against his.
They breathed in that hallway, together. The Wolf and her Angel. She made him cry. She needed to make it up to him.
"No, I'm sorry for not listening to you...I promised you that I wouldn't let him out of my sights, and..." she looked towards the screens and dropped her head on his good shoulder.
"I failed you, Angel..."
"We both did..." Orange spoke.
"Wha-"
"We both failed...I should have see this sooner I-" he grunted, he was mad at himself.
"Angel, you have absolutely no reason to blame yourself for this. He wanted to leave your group because he felt it was best for him, " her eyes locking with his. "Yuta wanted to be the best and he made it..."
Orange hummed, neutrality in his tone.
"Yuta made that choice, not you, not me, no one but himself."
"I just-" he sobbed again. "I..."
Blitz pulled him closer. "I know Angel, I know you really wanted too, just not like this."
Orange good hand gripped at the jacket pulling her closer, slipping his face into her neck, breathing her in.
They stayed quietly again, breathing together in the hallway.
She held him close, trying to comfort him, trying to ease the pain, trying to just do something to make him stop crying because she hated to see him cry.
She didn't make her Angel cry, Yuta did.
As much as she wanted to plot revenge, that was the last t thought on her mind because she needed to focus on Orange, in front of her.
"Orange, Angel...I know this is hard, but you have me...We both screwed up..."
He huffed at that, rude..she also chuckled a bit. She looked down at him, smiling crossing her lips.
"Are you laughing at me?"
"No..." she could hear the smile in his voice.
"Yes you are...how could you, after everything we've been through and now you laugh at me! Uh!" She said dramatically, tossing her heard the other way.
Then there was that sweet laugh of his. That sweet laugh that bubbled out of him that she loved. Her's Angel laugh that was just a beautiful blessing anytime she heard it.
Now they were in the hallway together, laughing.
"Let's not fight...okay?" Blitz said looking deep into those blue orbs, "I don't like it when we agrue.. ever."
"You make it sound like it's our first time..."
"We both know we've had more elaborate arguments than this one, Angel. Some going to topics I don't even want to start or hear about ever again..." she shuddered.
"So that one time-"
"BLAH BLAH BLAH I CANT HEAR YOU!" Blitz yelled, interrupting him, making him glare at her but smile quickly.
"Blitz...thanks..."
"No problem, Angel...and I'm sorry too, about Yuta and not keeping my promise to you."
"Its fine..."
"No its not. I married you in honesty and only honesty. I failed to do so when Yuta started that match against Moxely...I failed you Orange."
She stared hard into his eyes, those blue ocean eyes. Orange was shocked at the words.
"Next time, I don't want us to do this, screaming at each other...at least not like this. Never this heated, because I hate to see you cry and angry..."
Orange pulled her into a kiss.
"I don't want to do that either...I love you, more than anything," he pulled her down for another one.
"Let's just...be here, until you're ready alright?" Orange asked.
She didn't need to olnod because she knew he was going to be good.
They argued, cried, and loved in that hallway, together.
