Open Sesame

Summary:

Libby and Nash get to a WHOLE new place in their relationship

Notes:

Hiiiiiii!
This is just a short thing about Libby and Nash bc I really wanted to see more with their relationship.
THIS IS ALL FROM LIBBY'S PERSPECTIVE
This takes place about 10 months since their Avery and Libby's arrival at the Hawthorne Mansion, which is after the second book, The Hawthorne Legacy.
If you have any constructive criticism, feel free to leave it down in the comments.

Chapter Text

Part 1:

I was sitting on my bed taking random online quizzes while eating 4 different types of potato chips trying to distract myself when I heard a knock at the door

"Come in!"

Without missing a beat, Nash strode in, gave me a quick peck on the lips and laid down right beside me. He took a glance at my computer screen and chuckled,

"Another spirit animal quiz, Libs? What's goin' on?"

I need to tell him. This is a big deal, he needs to know. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. But maybe, just maybe, I could wait just a little longer............

I snapped back to reality.

"Oh nothing....... Anything going on with you?"

He grimaced, "Yeah...But it's nothing to worry about sweetheart. I'll tell you later."

I set my computer down and curled into him. He smelled so good. Just like all the oak trees around the estate.

"You sure you're fine? You seem a little off this week.", he murmured into my hair.

I couldn't help but smile. I love Nash Hawthorne. I love every single thing about him. Including having his arms wrap around my body. Nash himself was like the warmest hug. Warmer than hot chocolate, or fuzzy socks. Even warmer than the sun itself. Because he was my sun. My entire being revolved basically around him. He was my everything.

I pushed down the feeling of nervousness rising up my throat and took a deep breath. " Actually.........There might be something kinda......important." I sat up, and slid off of the bed. "Come on." I held out my hand and led him into the bathroom.

"What's goin' on Libby? Why so serious?" He grinned, "Are you playin' a prank?"

I shook my head and told him to close his eyes as I took all ten of them out of the drawer. After laying them all out, I took his hand and whispered, "Open sesame."

He opened his eyes and looked around as if expecting his brothers to pop out behind the door, but instead was presented with several pregnancy tests. As he slowly realized there was no silly prank, a dazed look fell across his face - something very uncommon to see with Nash Hawthorne. He turned to look me in the eye, and I nodded. He leaned against the wall and slid down to the tiled floor. I took a seat next to him and wrapped my arm around his.

"I know it's a lot to take in, Nash." I chuckled, "It's a lot for me too. I had to take multiple just to be sure.....I haven't told anyone or gone to the doctor or anything but I wanted to tell you."

I laid my head against his shoulder and just sat there with him. A couple of hours later, I had realized that I had fallen asleep. I turned to wake Nash up, but he wasn't next to me. I was in my bed, and Nash was sitting at my desk, staring back at me. He surveyed me up and down, with his signature Hawthorne charm and asked,

"How long have you known?"

"A week."

He nodded his head, as if it was his default setting. I looked into his eyes,

"I know we're still a little young, and we haven't even been together for a full year yet," I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him, "but I'm ready to do anything you want to do. If you're not ready, that's ok."

He looked me dead in the eyes and said, "Let's do this."
