"You want to be a hero so bad? vie got an idea for you, go take a swan dive off a roof and pray for a quirk in your next life!!" Kachan laughed at me as he blasted my notebook out through the window. Kach-no Bakugo and his goons laughed as they walked out of the class room, laughing about how "a quirkless Deku could never get into ua". I waited a few minutes before I left to get my book, careful of the recent burns and bruises Bakugo has given me by trying to "put a quirkless freak like me in his place". I walked to the courtyard where I saw some fish trying to eat my notebook, "that's not fish food guys" I mumble, pulling it out of the water, and the writing is completely smudged, perfect. Noticing that the sun has started to go down I start walking my way back home, I don't want mum to start worrying. As I walk into the alley I notice it smells much worse than usual, almost like sewag-
" Ah a medium sized in visibility cloak." hearing the distorted voice I turn around, to be greeted by a mass of sewage like liquid hovering over me as i start to back up the sludge launches at me, covering me in the gross liquid, before I can even scream it starts filling my mouth. I can feel my throat burning as I can feel the sewage building in my stomach " I didn't know HE was going to be here today, thank you kid, your my hero." The villain laughs as I feel my vision darken
well at least I could be a hero to someone before i die
"ITS ALRIGHT NOW YOUNG MAN, WHY?"
wait is that
" BECAUSE I AM HERE." all might yells as he charges towards the us
"TEXAS SMASHHH" he yells as but the wind pressure of the punch causes the villain to fly everywhere, leaving me free of its grasp. As I breath in a lungful of air I feel my conscious slipping as I close my eyes.
I feel something tapping against my cheek and a faint voice, then, as the world starts coming back I hear.
"young man, young man YOUNG MAN!"
I wake with a start as i hear all might talking to me
" AH GOOD, I THOUGHT I LOST YOU THERE, WELL I APOLOGISE FOR LETTING THIS VILLAIN ESCAPE FROM ME"
I look up realizing it was actually all might intron of me, just as I go to open my mouth
" DONT WORRY SON, I SIGNED YOUR NOTEBOOK FOR YOU, NOW I REALLY MUST HEAD OFF AND BRING THIS VILLAIN IN, HAVE A GOOD DAY."
seeing he was about to leap away I latch onto his leg and fly off with him, he looks down seeing me
"YOUNG MAN THIS ISNT SAFE, I NEED YOU TO GET OFF"
" IF I LET GO ILL DIE" I yell back as he looks at me and then makes a weird face, as he goes to land on a building
"I'm sorry all might but I nee- OH MY GOD IS THAT YOU" I yell out as in front of me where all might was before was a skeleton like man, he had All Might's hair and blue eyes but that is all that was recognizable
"Yes young man this is me, what I am about to say is not to be said to anyone else, do you understand?" I nod my head rapidly, as he pulls up his shirt
" five years ago i suffered an incredible wound, half of my lungs were destroyed, as well as my stomach, since then I have been getting weaker." he states calmly.
"wait is that why you have been showing up less and less over the years, but there was no way toxic chainsaw could do this to you, maybe it was dark abbodon, that fight was mostly obscured from the cameras with his shadow quirk, or was it ...mumble mumble..."
"young man?" All Might asks as I yelp with shock
"sorry, its just a habit of mine."
"that is alright but no it was none of what you said, it was a villain that was incredibly strong that did this to me, the fight was wiped away from the public so that villains don't think they can start getting more ambitious, right now I can only work for three hours a day."
I stand there shocked, a villain so strong they almost killed all might, is he still alive, what was their quirk that was strong enough to do this to all might and leave him as basically a cripple.
"now young man, you said you needed to ask me something, what is it?" he asks, braking me out of my stupor. I look at him, all might said that anyone can be a hero but I need to hear it from him, I take a deep breath and
"can someone quirkless like me become a hero?"
I yell out and close my eyes, a few seconds had gone by but it had felt like years, i open my eyes to see him staring at me, he then opens his mouth
"I am sorry young man but you cannot become a hero without a quirk."
...
my heart shatters at those words, all my life, despite all the hardships i wanted to be hero but now my idol, the very man who said "anyone can be a hero" is telling me i cant. A quiet moment goes by before
"if you really want to help people young man you should become a police officer, they may not get enough credit but they are needed for heroes, it is fine to dream, but in life you need to be realistic" he says before leaving through the door.
I stand there silently crying, my hopes and dreams shattered, it has been a minute since all might has left and look around to find that I have ended up at the edge of the building, looking down at the steep drop bellow. I think through all of my life and realize that even if I were to try and get another job, quirkless people are shunned and ridiculed. I take a look down.
"I'm sorry mum, but imp going to take Kachans advice, you will be sad but without a useless deku like me burdening you, you will live a lot better." I solemnly say before taking off my shoes and back pack. I look at the sky for a final time before I step off the roof.
I plummet to the ground, seeing the area around fly by, when this happens I suddenly realize the gravity of the situation, in an intense moment of depression I had actually stepped off the roof, I start panicking. I didn't want to die here I repeated in my mind, trying to look around for anyway to slow myself or stop myself...there were none. Giving up I realized I nearing the ground when I see blue energy forming around my body, first my torso, then legs, then arms, soon my entire body is surrounded with bright light before I feel it explode around me.
all I see is a black void, i look around to see 8 boxes, 6 of which are locked in chains while two are glowing a blinding blue, I slowly walk up to one and as i stare into the ocean of blue, my hand reaches out and touches it.
I feel soft arms holding me, a tingly feeling surrounding me as I open my eyes, I see a woman with purple skin, orange eyes and a singular horn poking out of my forehead. she looks at me with a soft smile, and says to me
"Hello, Summoner."
