Booker woke when someone kicked him in the head repeatedly. Before he could see who it was that kicked him he looked straight into a snake’s head, and let out a scream before he fell out of bed straight down on the floor with a big thump. It took a moment before Booker had gotten his breathing under control before he looked over at his bed where Nicky now had taken over the entire bed with his toy snake and every other piece of toy animal he had. Booker couldn’t help laughing over the whole situation, while he thought about how interesting and funny his life had become in the last couple of weeks ever since Nicky had come into his life.
“Is it time for breakfast?” Nicky muttered as he lifted his head.
“Not yet, little brother,” Booker replied.
“Ok,” Nicky said as he laid down to sleep again. “Then night night.”
Booker grabbed his phone and saw the clock was only 5.32 AM. It was too early to get up, so Booker pushed all the toy animals and Nicky a bit to the side, who was holding onto the toy snake before he laid down to get some more sleep with the head in the same direction as Nicky’s head, but this time Nicky slapped Booker in the face instead. Before closing his eyes, Booker looked at Nicky one last time and felt more happy than he had done in his entire life.
