Chapter Text
“Tsunayoshi-sama,” Hana knocked on the office door lightly. “Would you like some tea? Or coffee?” She pushed the door open with her back, arms full with a tray of pitchers.
“Ah, thank you,” the brunette weakly gave a response, a strained smile on his face. “Coffee please…”
Hana gave him a strange look, taking his mug and pouring in decaf. “With the usual amount of sugar and milk,” she noted. “What’s wrong?”
“Well, it’s Reborn…” he suddenly was avoiding eye contact and had a big sweatdrop falling. “I mean- training. It’s training.”
“That’s right, you weakling,” said hitman emerged from the adjacent library, espresso cup in hand. “Your mentality is still lacking in some aspects. Buon giorno, Hana.”
“And to you,” Hana jumped a bit at his appearance, not hearing him enter. “Would you like some more coffee?”
“Of course,” Reborn gave a tip of his head in acknowledgement, following her to the side table as she set down the tray. “By the way, did you consider what I proposed earlier?”
“Yes, I will talk to Kyo about that tonight,” Hana smiled a bit, preparing the coffee at the table. “He seems to be in a good mood lately, so he should approve.”
Reborn smirked, thanking her as he took the refreshed cup of coffee. “I knew I could count on you…compared to someone else here who couldn’t do a simple task.”
“Hey!” the Vongola Decimo protested with a weak outstretched hand. “Hibari-san is still scary, okay?”
Hana let out a muted laugh, covering her mouth with her hand. Well, it wasn’t every day that it was peaceful enough to be just like this.
“So, how’s married life?” the Italian mafioso took a sip, settled comfortably on the sofa. “Have the Hibaris fought yet?”
“Reborn!” Tsuna protested.
Hana shook her head, settling down on the couch across from Reborn with her own cup of coffee. “I know he wants to go back to Namimori as soon as possible, so he’s actually been working quite diligently this past week so we can go home quicker,” she ran her thumb against the lip of the cup.
The Vongola Decimo sighed with relief. “I’m grateful for that, especially since Gokudera-kun took his research trip this week. And I’m grateful that you are helping with some of his work, Hibari-chan,” he nodded. “If you need any assistance or support, please let me know.”
“Except maybe in terms of relationship advice,” Reborn butted in with a smirk. “In the ways of romance, he’s still a boy. But take your advice from someone like me, an expert.”
“C-Chotto!”
“Tsuna.” The Arcobaleno had a serious look on his face as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees and folding his hands. “What’s the number one rule when you get into an argument with your lover?”
“H-Haah? I mean,” the brunette took on a thoughtful look up, forehead scrunched into a visible W as he scratched his temple. “Well, since a relationship requires mutual understanding and respect, you should sit down and talk things out-”
“Wrong.” Rubber hammer Leon came flying at Tsuna, hitting him right across the cheek and sending him comically flying out of his leather chair. Reborn leaned on Tsuna’s desk, crossing his legs. “The answer, idiot pupil, is sex.”
“WHAT?!”
“There’s nothing like letting your lover know that you’re there for them by physically being there, too,” Reborn was twirling his fedora on his finger. “And if you have any frustrations, you can vent it out in the most comfortable place. Your bed.”
“I don’t think that’s what-“ Tsuna had a huge sweatdrop falling from his head, then he snapped. “Wait! Don’t even consider that seriously, Hibari-chan! I-“
“Heeh, I see.” The three of them turned to look at the figure leaning against the bookcase.
“Hi-Hi-Hibari-san!” the Vongola boss suddenly scrambled into a seiza position from his fallen state. Reborn rolled his eyes at his useless pupil. “W-When did you get in- How?”
“I came to see what the commotion was all about,” the former prefect took the cup from Hana’s hands and took a sip. “Besides, Hana had been gone for quite some time.”
“Ah, sorry,” Hana leaned back in the sofa to look up at him. “Sawada-san and Reborn were just giving some advice-”
“Which I heard,” Kyouya raised an eyebrow.
Ignoring Tsuna’s flailing protests in the background, Reborn shrugged. “You know what I mean, right, Hibari?”
The Cloud Guardian smirked, petting Hana’s head a bit. “Although you’re still a baby, you do say some wise things.” As he handed Hana back the empty cup, he pressed his lips against her cheek, much to everyone’s surprise, with a knowing look. “I make sure Hana vents all her frustration out on me.”
Tsuna’s face was beet red, Reborn nodded in approval, while Hana swatted Kyouya’s hand away from her head. “You silly-“ she was also red in the face, a cute pout on her lips.
“No, you,” her husband shot back playfully as he straightened back up. “Once you’re done with your work here, come back.” Hana nodded, holding out the cup as Kyouya picked up the coffee pot to top her off. “I miss you.” He left, satisfied that his wife was a new shade of red.
