It was just an ordinary day, wasn't it?
Recently she got a new job and decided to move due to where the job was. It was a fresh start.
Anzu was told to go to the office a day earlier to get a feel of the place and there would be someone or some people there to show her around. When she arrived at the office, it seemed that everyone was on their break.
The office was huge and nothing like her old job. While she was busy looking around for her guide, she accidentally bumped into a figure walking the opposite direction.
"Whoa! Hey hey miss! Are you okay?" Before she fell to the ground, the figure grabbed her arm to help steady her. She looked up to see a young man around her age, with messy ginger hair and bright blue eyes looking at her with worry.
"I'm okay, thank you." She assured, thanking him.
"That's why you should watch where you're walking, Akehoshi." A black-haired man who was walking behind him said. "Sorry about that miss. We'll be on our way now."
Akehoshi? The name was familiar.
"Um, by any chance, are you Akehoshi Subaru? The one who is supposed to show me around today?" She asked.
The group was silent for a few seconds before Subaru spoke up, "Ohhh you're the new employee starting tomorrow, right?"
"That's right." She confirmed.
"Well then, it's nice to meet you! I'm Akehoshi Subaru, but you already knew that!" He said, rapidly shaking both her hands.
"Stop doing that, you're making her uncomfortable." The black-haired man said, dragging him back, "Sorry about him. I'm Hidaka Hokuto, his coworker. I look forward to working with you, and if you have any questions you can come to me."
"You can call him Hokke! And that guy over there is Yuuki so you can call him Ukki!" Subaru said, pointing to the blonde wearing glasses standing next to Hokuto.
"That's how you're introducing me?!" He exclaimed. "Err, I'm Makoto Yuuki. N-Nice to meet you. If you have any questions you can also come to me, and I'm p-pretty good at finding information too... Umm ugh it's still pretty hard to talk to girls after all..."
"I'm Anzu, it's nice to meet you too."
"Oh oh! And we have this other friend too! His name is Sally-"
"Isara Mao." Hokuto interrupted.
"Yeah! He's a suuuper dependable guy! You guys would get along really well!" Subaru explained.
"I see, I look forward to meeting him then." She smiled.
After just a few days, from the first of many unexpected run-in, they all became great friends.
