The people of Inazuma finally gets a chance to live life much loosely knowing that the vision hunt decree has now come to an end. People who had their visions seized regained ambition once again and as for the other vision bearers, they are no longer hiding inside their houses in fear that they might get their visions taken away. It was certainly a one step forward for Inazuma to be a stable nation. Though there are still conflicts and controversies in the Tri-Commission that needs to be negotiated.
The head of the Yashiro Commission, Kamisato Ayato, is mostly dealing with these controversies and government talks. He tries his best to negotiate with the Tenryou and Kanjou commissions to cut ties with the Fatui or atleast be less strict with the Sakoku Decree. He also manages the Shuumatsuban which are a group of skilled ninjas under the Yashiro Commission.
Ayato does not fully go against both the Tenryou and Kanjou commissions, he just wants what's best for Inazuma, in fact he is very loyal to the shogun and is close with the chief priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine. In regards of this, he was exempted from his past deeds. If you're wondering what his past deeds were, let's just say that Ayato is no doubt described as a mature menace outside of government officials. He is friends with Arataki Itto after all, but less immature and actually knows how to get mora easily.
With his power being the head of one of the Tri-Commissions, Shuumatsuban, and the Kamisato Clan there is a huge possibility that he partook in the dealings of abolishing the vision hunt decree along with a certain someone that he exchanged favors with.
That someone was none other than the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, Yae Miko, who was one of whole reasons why the vision hunt decree has came to an end.
Both of them wanted to put an end to the vision hunt decree. They have similar intentions, they wanted to save their friends from that ridiculous rule. Ayato wanted Thoma to freely walk outside the Komore Teahouse again without being in the wanted list and as for
Miko being the true shogun's servant and friend, she wanted Ei to get out of her Plane of Euthymia and clearly see how the decree really affects the people of Inazuma. Things are going to have to change, with Inazuma being marked in everyones hearts for eternity, visions create ambitions.
Ayato and Miko had made a deal regarding the vision hunt decree.
Their transaction went like this,
Miko asked, "Lord Ayato, I know that you are a man of your word and that you're one heafty commissioner and clan member. Might I ask if you're willing to talk to your sibling Ayaka to convince the Traveler to take part in the next vision taking ceremony?"
Miko slithered around the commissioner's chair wanting his approval of her needs from him. Ayato let out a snicker, eyes closed being hooked up on what Miko's intentions are with his hand on his chin. He replied, "And I know that you are a very cunning person Lady Yae, I do have a lot of things in my plate everyday but I guess I could manage my time. Is that all that you need?"
Ayato lowered the teacup he had on his hand onto the small plate.
Miko smiled victoriously and slithered again on his chair and onto his shoulders, practically touching his upper body.
"Hmm, can the Shuumatsuban be involved with gathering the documents needed from the Tenryou commission about the dealings with the Fatui? Oh how it wouldn't be a big party if the rest of the Yashiro Commission members won't join am I right? They just need to stall the Kanjou Commission and other Tenryou Commission members."
Ayato's eyes slightly opened with the intel about the Tenryou commission dealing with the Fatui. He glanced at Miko who is partially laughing and smiling knowing that he got Ayato's interest.
A lot of Ayato's power was needed but he didn't mind, he knew it was for the good and he's ready to risk it all as a head commissioner.
He knows that Yae Miko is not someone to be trusted so easily and someone who has a lot of secrets. It made him snap a little.
"Now, are you-" Miko was cut off from her sentence when Ayato got up from his chair and swiftly pinned the Guuji on the wall with his right hand next to her line of vision and his left hand on her hand. A mischievous smile was seen from his face. Miko knew that something was about to go down so she did the same smile that he did.
Ayato hovered to Miko's fox ear and whispered, "Yes, your favor will be fulfilled only if you do a favor for me as well." Miko was attentively listening.
For two ordinary people, they would think that the situation right now has a lot of tension between. But for them, this is all just a part of some transaction with both sides practically returning their attitudes towards each other.
Ayato continued, "Though this favor is separated from yours, this doesn't count as payment of your requests from me. Hmm, think of it as if we owe each other something. All I want is for you to tell me your intentions with the traveler, it is as simple as that Lady Yae." He backed away from her a little bit to give her some space but suddenly Miko gently grabs Ayato's collar both of them being close again, she wanted to whisper something in return. "Oh Lord Kamisato, it is for the good, it is to abolish the vision hunt decree. What a pity seeing the people of Inazuma gossiping in fear everytime a vision was seized and gets embedded on the omnipresent statue as well as a certain friend of mine who won't leave her own comfort zone, I do miss her dearly so I would be delighted if my plans go as accordingly." Miko let's out a smug huff as she finished. She didn't go in depth about her "friend", a Guuji has to keep her secrets.
Ayato, who was satisfied, went back to his seat to do some paper work. "I am a man of my word, I shall fulfill your request. I must say though, I am glad to be involved in such a big operation what an honor indeed Lady Yae." Ayato being quirky, Miko chuckled, "Well if all's well and ends well, let us rendezvous in some place to discuss what we owe each other. You had me satisfied with what you did while I was explaining... oh and you can call me by my name, Miko, drop the formalities. Until next time Lord Kamisato" Miko winked being quite flirty, she wanted to paint a blush from the commissioner.
There is no doubt that what she did caught Ayato off guard. Luckily, he became reserved. He plastered a bold smirk and replied "Ah, yes, until next time... I'll remember what you said and you can also refer to me only by my name, Ayato."
And with that, Miko exited the commissioner's out-of-bounds room and headed back to the Narukami Shrine feeling victorious of the approval. "Hmm, I wonder what that rascal wants in return... nevermind that I still have lots of shrine work to do." Miko calmly says.
Ayato on the other hand begun to organize his paperwork. "Aahh, more paperwork to do... I am not even surprised. Though I keep on thinking what that cunning woman want from me other than my power. Mm.. I'll get to that later. After this maybe I'll go fetch someone to buy me a dango milk... Mm, yes, that would be very nice." Ayato picks up a pen and hums as he works.
