“Terribly sorry, but I couldn’t let you proceed; I’m trying to warn off travellers, and you don’t seem to be one of the coven members. No more than I am, anyway.” A young Altmer appeared beside her, his hand extended to help her up. She didn’t have to guess about what he meant, comparing the two of them to Icereach Coven and their conspirators; his skin had the same pallid undertones as hers, his eyes framed by the same blackish shadows. He was a vampire, and banking on her not being a frothing-at-the-mouth cultist.
“Lucky guess: I’m here trying to…” And abruptly she stopped, frowning at him. “I know you.”
“Y-Yes, I think…I think I know you as well, although you weren’t a vampire when we met. I-In fact, I would have been surprised, at the time, if I were told that you would be one day. You seemed very afraid of me.”
