Irisviel gasped, clutching her stomach. “Oh, my.” She breathed, and Saber was at her side in seconds.
“What is it?”
“…I think I’m pregnant.” Irisviel blurted out. Kiritsugu fainted, but he didn’t deserve the right because this was his fault. Unless, of course—
“I impregnated your wife.” Kirei Kotomine—yes, the priest—declared, appearing out of nowhere. Saber unsheathed her sword and shielded Irisviel immediately. Although she couldn’t help feeling confused despite having a job to do. And disgusted. Very, very disgusted.
“Huh. So it was you, then?” Kiritsugu said, apparently wide awake now. Kotomine smirked at him…like, seductively.
“Are you envious that it was the homunculus who I touched so intimately?” He quirked a brow.
“Yeah, no. Not at all.” Kiritsugu assured him, shaking his head for emphasis. This was a lie, but we didn’t have time to get into that.
He whipped out his gun — but Kotomine was faster, throwing one of his Wolverine-looking blades at the Mage Killer’s leg. But then Saber was faster and blocked the hit, a move that led Irisviel wide open. Lol. So now Kotomine had an arm wrapped around the woman’s neck, and a blade aimed at her side.
“Don’t try it. Either of you.” He warned. Saber grunted in frustration, though Kiritsugu didn’t seem to have the same worries.
He shot at Kotomine without hesitation, and he literally smacked the bullet away with his blade (seems legit) before plunging it into Irisviel. She let out a strangled noise in between a scream and a gasp; Kotomine disappeared before Saber could take vengeance, letting Irisviel crumple to the ground. Once again, she rushed to her side and knelt down. Cradling the blonde in her arms, she shot a glare at Kiritsugu, who still looked unbothered.
A memory from not too long again came f l o a t i n g to the surface of his mind…
“Iri. I want you to take Avalon. Don’t tell Saber.”
“Surely you should keep it with you…”
“I’m a tough guy. You’re delicate. Keep it with you just in case something happens.”
“Okay, Kiritsugu.”
Alright, maybe his brain was taking liberties with the exact exchange but that was general gist. The important thing was she would be okay now that Saber was touching her…holding Irisviel...his wife…in her arms…caressing her in the gentlest way possible, as one would a lover…oh, hell, but who was he to judge? He fucked Maiya no less than four times before he came there. Anyway, Irisviel (and her unborn child) was healed, Saber never forgave him, and that was that.
