Work Text:
Sasuke couldn't help but gape at the majestic view before him.
It was as if he literally stepped into a painting.
The sun was already setting and the sky was tinged with orange and purple. Lights were already turned on in preparation for the night and these, the city, and the sky were reflected in the waters.
It was too beautiful for words.
For a few more minutes, Sasuke had stood by the bridge and just watched as the sun say its farewell. Sighing, he looked down at his own reflection in the water and as always, he made a wish.
He tugged at his jacket as he started walking. It was already getting cold. Surely, fall is coming. It was a lot colder there in Italy than in Japan, but he was already used to it.
As it got darker, Sasuke hurried to his hotel.
Another summer day,
Has come and gone away,
In Paris and Rome
As Sasuke got to the end of the bridge, he saw a man painting and he stopped. It was a picture of a little girl dancing in a garden. At the sight, memories came rushing back to Sasuke.
It was just after their youngest, Satsuki's 12th birthday. It had been a busy year from the first day. Satsuki was scouted as a model after Sasuke's birthday video of her has gone viral. He was already known in the industry as a photographer and videographer by then, but that video did help him gain more clients, and of course, opened the door for his youngest to be a model.
Sasuke had just got home from work then. He had changed clothes and immediately lied besides Sakura on their bed. It had felt as if he had just closed his eyes when he heard his youngest daughter's voice waking him up.
Blearily, he had opened his eyes to see a blur of his daughter.
"Papa! Wake up!" Satsuki said.
"Satsuki! Your Papa is tired. Don't disturb him!" He heard his wife chided in whisper.
But Sasuke already had groggily sat up.
"It's—" He yawned. "—okay, Sakura." He managed to say.
He then turned at his daughter, "What is it, Princess?"
"I wanna go sakura-viewing." She said, grinning.
"Sakura? Right now? It's still so early." Sasuke said, managing to stifle his yawn.
"It's already noon." Sakura chimed in. Satsuki shook her head in amusement.
"Is it?" Sasuke asked and looked at the clock. Surely, it was already ten past twelve.
"I wanna go with mom and Sara-nee and Sabu-nii as well." She said.
"I think Sarada's going somewhere today." Sakura said, looking at her daughter.
"Ehhh?" Satsuki had exclaimed and she was out of the room the next second.
"Okay, I'm already up." Sasuke declared and stood up. He knew he needed to 'save' his oldest daughter from his youngest.
After freshening up, Sasuke had descended their stairs to find his daughter pouting at a harassed-looking Sarada.
"But we haven't went anywhere together for so long now!" Satsuki said, pouting.
"I'm really sorry, Satsuki. I have to meet my classmates." Sarada tried to explain.
"But—"
"Okay, how about this. I'll go now and I'll hurry so I can come back after around three hours, if you wanna wait for me.' Sarada proposed.
At his words, Satsuki's face brightens and nodded once. Sarada sighed in relief and patted Satsuki's head. "Okay, I really have to go now." She said, and then she noticed his father.
"Papa, I'll be going now!" She said and then hurried out their home.
"Take care!" Sasuke had shouted at his daughter.
Just then, a sleepy Saburo had come out from the kitchen looking worst for wear.
"Sabu-nii! We’ll go sakura-viewing. Go get ready!" Satsuki said, at once.
Saburo blinked. "Today?" He asked.
"Yeah! Today's the last day." She said.
"I'm sore all over. Our interschool league had just finished..." He said tiredly. "Go without me." He said and proceeded to his room with Satsuki following after him.
In the next hour, Sasuke watched their daughter try and persuade their only son into coming—but overall, it was mainly Satsuki trying to keep Saburo awake. Sasuke had tried to intervene but it would have been more productive if he had talked to Saburo's door. This went on until Sakura had told Satsuki to let Saburo sleep until Sarada returns and then emphasized that everyone would go. Saburo had agreed to this at once, obviously desperate for sleep.
Satsuki had left her brother alone for the next three hours and then barged in his room once again, telling him to get ready. Saburo had grudgingly did so, but lied down the sofa right after changing clothes, still trying to squeeze in some sleep. The family waited for Sarada but it was another hour before Sarada had called saying she still couldn't go home. Stubbornly, Satsuki had still insisted to wait.
But it was already past 6 when Sarada had mailed and said that she was on her way home.
Sasuke's heart broke when he saw his daughter's downcast eyes. Being the only one of his kids who got her mother's hair, she really reminded him of younger Sakura. Her mother had immediately gone to her then and placed an arm around her.
"Oh, baby, I promise we'll try and go next time, okay? All of us." Sakura tried to say.
Satsuki only nodded, though still looked undoubtedly sad.
"Okay," she said. "I'm going to my room first..." She said.
Sakura watched as her daughter go and then looked at Sasuke.
Sasuke smiled at her and then took out his phone.
-
Sasuke knocked on Satsuki's door three times.
"Yeah?"
Sasuke opened the door and saw her daughter lying on her bed, back turned from the door. Sasuke walked towards the bed and sat. He placed a hand on her head. "Princess..." He called.
He waited for a while and Satsuki turned to him.
She looked at him and then sighed. "I was thinking I don't wanna work anymore." She suddenly said.
Sasuke was surprised but replied all the same. "Well, it's up to you, Princess. But are you sure?" He asked.
"I was thinking it. But I thought it wouldn't change anything much and I really love modeling." She clarified.
"What wouldn't change?" He asked.
Satsuki was quiet for a while, and then she looked up at Sasuke. "I still wouldn't be seeing you guys as much." She said. "You and mom are very busy, of course. Mom is always at the hospital and you always have your schedule full with your shoots. Sara-nee's time is filled with university. And Saburo-nii's been so busy since he became varsity and scholar."
"Princess..."
"I just wanted a day with you guys, I guess. Himawari-nee and her family went sakura-viewing the other day..." She softly.
Sasuke stood up. "Well, let's go somewhere, then." He said.
Satsuki looked at him. "Go where? It's already 8 in the evening."
"Come on." Sasuke urged, pulling his daughter up.
Satsuki followed Sasuke out to their backyard.
"We can go sakura-viewing here instead." Sasuke said.
"But there's no sakura here." Satsuki tried to say, but then suddenly something small fluttered down her nose. It was a sakura petal. Satsuki's eyes widen and she looked up. More sakura petals were flowing from above. She looked at Sasuke in wonder. Sasuke pointed up.
Sasuke smiled as he heard his daughter giggling upon discovering that it was Saburo who was dropping petals from their rooftop.
Satsuki turned to her Papa and hugged him. Just then music started and the two turned to see Sakura and then Sarada, with her speakers. It was a piano piece that Sakura had used to lull their kids to sleep when they were younger.
Satsuki beamed. Following through, Sasuke had bowed down and offer a hand to Satsuki, asking for a dance. Satsuki smiled and took his hand. For a while they sway, and in a bit the petals stopped falling and Saburo had joined Sakura and Sarada by the backdoor.
The music changed and Saburo grinning had asked for his turn for a dance. Sasuke let him and went to Sakura. He laughed as he saw Sarada change the music into Satsuki's current favorite idol group's debut song and then joined his siblings in dancing.
Sakura turned to him with a smile. "Not very original." She commented, remembering when Sasuke had done the same thing with her when they were younger and still secretly dating—Sasuke had tried to keep his family from prying for some time. They couldn't go sakura-viewing because they were keeping their relationship lowkey, so instead Sasuke did something similar to this with the help of his friends.
He shrugged. "It worked."
Sakura laughed and kissed him gratefully.
Sasuke realized he was staring at the painting. He sighed and continued to walk, feeling so discontented.
He really misses his family.
I want to go home
---
Sasuke stopped in front of the store. He had seen a beautiful hat that would surely suit Sakura. He had taken the one that caught his eyes; it was a cream rustic ramble hat. He was sure Sakura will love it. The color would also complement her hair.
He had taken a look at other hats as well. He had bought three more, a yellow summer hat for Satsuki, a pale blue lieutenant cap for Sarada and a baseball cap for Saburo.
Feeling satisfied at his purchases, he exited the store to continue his walk around the city.
He was in London. He had arrived a week ago.
He smiled as he spotted a koi pond. There were many people around the pond, it was a bit hard to find a good spot. But still he searched, stopped when he found at least an area where he could freely see the koi and took out his camera. He took some shots, imagining how Saburo would have looked if he saw this.
The Uchiha Household could have been called a zoo in its own right. Sasuke had always love animals, of course. Sakura was very fond of dogs, especially toy dogs. Like Sakura, Sarada had a soft spot for dogs, but she prefers big ones like huskies and labradors. Satsuki, on the other hand, preferred cats. And Saburo, unexpectedly liked fishes.
It was almost like Shino's weird fascination with insects. He remembered when Saburo was still in grade school, during their field trip. He had gone home with damp hair and newly bought clothes. He had told a demanding Sakura that he had seen a river during their hike and had spotted some fish. He had wanted to take a picture of them and, not watching his steps, he had fell in the river.
Sasuke chuckled at the memory.
Sakura was so mad then, he had remembered, because all of Saburo's things were soaking wet. All except his camera.
Sasuke's smile became somber as he looked at the camera on his hands. It was Saburo's. It was his first camera. It looked very old now, there were scratches, and it was very outdated, but Sasuke wouldn't use any other. It was one more thing that connects him to his son.
Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
"Sasuke?"
Sasuke turned around at the call.
He smiled softly, pleasantly surprised, as he his old friend, Suigetsu.
"Sui."
"It is you!" Suigetsu said, as enthusiastic.
Suigetsu had walked towards him and clapped him on the back.
"You didn't tell me you were in the country!" He said, indignant. Sasuke chuckled.
"Sorry. But this is great, I didn't think we'd meet." Sasuke said.
Suigetsu had then invited Sasuke for a coffee. Sasuke had taken the offer.
"So how are you?" Sasuke asked as they waited for their orders.
"Good. Though, it's a bit quiet around the house now. I've actually just dropped off Kai and Kana in the train station. It's the start of the semester." He explained.
"Oh yeah, how are the twins? How old are they now, sixteen?"
"Seventeen." Suigetsu corrected. "It's their seventh year in school. It's a dorm school so they only come home during winter break. And with Karin and Keiko in Japan, it's basically just me at home."
Sasuke nodded. "It's been so long since I saw them." He commented.
"Well, I'm thinking of returning to Japan, actually. When they finish school at least." Suigetsu said.
Sasuke smiled but didn't comment.
"What about you, Sasuke? How are you?" Suigetsu asked, softly.
He shrugged. "Just fine, I guess."
"Ever thought of coming back?" Suigetsu urged.
"I... I don't think I can. At least not right now." Sasuke said, sighing.
Suigetsu accepted this and nodded.
"How long has it been?" Suigetsu commented off-handedly.
"So long..." Sasuke muttered. "And I miss them every day."
I just want to go home,
Oh I miss you, You know,
-
Sasuke opened the door and entered his hotel room.
It had been a tiring day, but he was happy that he could see his old friend.
Though tired, instead of lying down his bed, he had gone straight to the table and took out a piece of paper and a ballpen.
He started writing a letter to his family. He wrote all about his travels, all about the sights he saw. He addressed each of his children, and of course his wife. He told them about seeing Suigetsu as well. He told them everything he wanted to say.
He smiled as he looked at his family's picture on the table. It was the five of them in the picture, plus Satsuki's cat, Saffron. Satsuki was only fourteen then, Saburo sixteen, and Sarada was twenty-three. It was taken during his last Christmas in Japan.
Looking back at his letter, he took another piece and continued.
He realized he had written five pages all in all. It was a normal thing; he always wrote around this length. Just goes to show how much he misses them.
Looking at the letters, he chuckled as another memory filled his mind.
Sarada's seventeenth birthday.
It was as if it was just yesterday.
Sasuke and Sakura had baked the cake for Sarada's birthday together that year. Sarada was then in her second year in high school and she invited all of his friends from school.
Sasuke had remembered how strange his daughter had acted just before her classmates and friends arrived. She looked flushed, and she was fidgeting.
When their guests arrived, he found out why.
He knew it all too well. The flashy dress from Ino his daughter swore she'd never wear, the perfume, the secret glances.
His daughter has a crush. He had tried very hard not to give in to his overprotectiveness, especially since it was her day and only observed.
He knew at once who it was.
He didn't know the kid exactly, from his observation he just knew that it was a senpai from school, named Aki.
Everything went well until the blowing of the cake.
It all started with Satsuki's question.
"Sara-nee, can I blow your candles?" She asked sweetly.
One look at Sarada's face and Sasuke knew her answer. His oldest did always had a soft spot for his youngest. She could never say no to her little sister.
But then Saburo had moved forward, too and said,
"Satsuki! You did that last year, too! I wanna blow them this time!" He complained, pulling Satsuki away from the cake.
A fight broke out and Saburo and Satsuki started pushing each other while Sarada, ever the responsible one, tried to calm them both down, saying loudly that they could do it together.
But Satsuki nor Saburo wouldn't have this. Satsuki started crying, and Saburo started shouting in exasperation and bitterness saying Satsuki always gets what she wanted.
Sakura and Sasuke tried to intervene, but before they could approach them, Saburo had ran towards the cake, and Satsuki shrieking, ceased Saburo's legs causing Saburo to topple over. Sarada tried to catch him and she did, but this result in Sarada diving face first in her own cake.
Everyone went quiet.
Sarada silently stood up. Both Saburo and Satsuki looked at her sheepishly. Sarada didn't react at once.
She looked around her. Her cake was ruined, her friends were staring at her, and her siblings had started blaming each other.
Sasuke was surprised with what happened next.
For the very first time, Sarada had glared at her siblings and walked out their dining room.
Undeniably shocked, Satsuki had started crying again and this time, Saburo also joined in. They had never seen their oneechan really angry before. Because his oldest have a bit of an age gap to the other two, she had always been very tolerant of them.
Sasuke had moved towards them and tried to calm them. Sakura on the other hand, had ushered their guest to their living room and offered them food.
When the two were a bit calmed down, Sakura had gently asked them to apologize to their sister. The two had went to Sarada's room at once but Sarada wouldn't open her door. Satsuki, Saburo and even Sakura tried to coax her out but it was no use. After a while, Saburo had thought of writing an apology in a paper and slipping it under Sarada's door. Satsuki agreed to this at one and the two started making letters.
They slipped it under the door, but they didn't receive any form of response. Sasuke could swear Satsuki would start crying again but Saburo had said "Maybe she didn't see! Let's make another one!"
They had made so many letters with words ranging from "I'm sorry," "Don't hate me," and "I love you." Sasuke watched his children desperately scribble words and wait impatiently for the door to open.
After at least half an hour, Sarada's door finally opened and Saburo and Satsuki had stood by her door, unmoving, waiting.
One look at her siblings and Sasuke saw the anger in Sarada's face slowly evaporating.
Finally, his eldest sighed and said, "I've already forgiven you, so stop with the letters or I'll start drowning in them."
Saburo's and Satsuki's faces transformed and the two had tackled their sister.
Sasuke smiled as he remembered seeing those letters again. Sarada had kept them in a clear book. She really loves her siblings dearly.
He sighed as he looked at his own pile of letters never sent to his family.
And I've been keeping all the letters,
That I wrote to you,
He opened his last letter and read through it. Another sigh escapes his mouth.
Even with so many words, it just wasn't enough.
Each one a line or two,
“I'm fine baby how are you”,
Well I would send them but,
I know that it's just not enough,
He folded it up, and tucked it inside an enveloped. He placed it inside the box together with the gifts he had bought for his family. In front of the box written was their home's address... even though he wouldn't send it anyway.
My words were cold and flat,
And you deserve more, Than that,
---
It was a very bright place, he had expected this, but it still came as a shock when he had gotten off the airplane.
Another aero plane,
Another sunny place,
It was very hot compared to the other places he'd visited, but he was glad he was able to go here.
Egypt.
For other people, the country might be considered that it's just a vast of unlimited sand but that wasn't accurate. Just looking down from the plane, Sasuke had already seen so many interesting places he'd want to see.
He remembered Sakura had wanted to go there as well.
It was their 8th anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend, and Sasuke had prepared something special for Sakura. Actually, it was something very special for the both of them.
Sakura was seating in the passenger seat, blindfolded and looking very excited while Sasuke, he was concentrating on not letting his legs shake. At the least, that would just be dangerous since he was driving.
They reached the place and Sasuke parked his car.
He told Sakura to wait and he got off and went to Sakura's side. He guided her in getting off the car and then guided her.
It was already prepared, and one of the men had given him a thumbs up signaling that everything was ready. Sasuke nodded mutely and now guided Sakura up the stairs and into the vehicle.
He nodded once more to the man controlling the vehicle and he started the engine. Sakura's hand tightened her hold in his. He squeezed it back in reassurance and then the let go of her hand to remover her blindfold.
Sakura gasped as she realized where they were. Currently, they were on a hot air balloon. The balloon has just taken off.
They slowly ascended. There was a magnificent view and the feeling of flying was exhilarating.
"Sasuke! Thank you! This is so sweet!" Sakura squealed looking below them.
"When we're together, I'm on top of the world." Sasuke said. He was thankful he didn't stutter.
Sakura was about to tease him about being such a cheese as he expected, but she stopped in her tracks and gasped at something she saw below them. Sasuke took this as a cue and fished for the box.
She gasped and Sasuke knew he had read his message in the other hot air balloons. She turned to him and her eyes widen when she saw him kneeling, holding a ring.
The balloons said, "Will You Marry Me?"
She embraced Sasuke and nodded her head breathlessly.
Sasuke's anxiousness all melted away and he felt as if he was floating, well, technically he was, but he felt even more lighter. Sasuke couldn't help it. He kissed her. He shed a few tears, too. And then both of them laughed.
Sasuke put the ring on Sakura's finger.
"You knew my answer even before! Why were you so nervous?" Sakura asked.
"That was six years ago. What if you changed your mind?" Sasuke had said. They had talked about it before.
"You should have known I wouldn't." Sakura said, but she was smiling. "This is the best proposal ever." she continued.
"It took all my brain cells. I wanted it to be more special than my previous gifts. But I guess we got to use your savings for the wedding since I used up mine for this proposal and for the ring..." Sasuke said sheepishly.
"What?!" Sakura exclaimed.
Sasuke laughed. "I'm joking. I already made plans. My savings even cover a house." He said.
Sakura laughed, too. "But I don't really mind using my savings. It was for my wedding."
"Let's use mine. In buying a house, too. But then after that, yoroshiku." Sasuke playfully said and even bowed at Sakura, feeling very silly now.
Sakura mock-punched Sasuke and both of them laugh.
It was as they descend that Sakura blurted, "I wanna go to Egypt."
"Egypt?" Sasuke asked.
"Yeah..." Sakura said. "I've always wanted to go there... maybe for our honeymoon?" She asked, and then blushed, though still smiling.
Sasuke blushed, too. They were already officially engaged, but it felt surreal. She was everything he had ever wanted, and he couldn't believe he would be marrying her soon, that she would take his name soon.
"I've always wanted to go there. When I was little, I've watched a documentary about the country, it was just so beautiful. There were so many interesting places to go." She continued to say.
"I think I'd like that." Sasuke said, putting an arm around Sakura.
She beamed and kissed him on the cheeks.
Unfortunately, they weren't able to do that with both their works. They had a simple wedding with their families and a few friends. Sasuke had promised Sakura that they would go together one day. But they couldn't find time. Sakura had said she didn't mind though, that she was happy anywhere as long as she was with Sasuke and their children.
How Sasuke wished Sakura was there with him just then.
He shook his head in exasperation. He should just enjoy the place. For Sakura.
I'm lucky, I know,
But I want to go home,
I've got to go home,
Let me go home
Sasuke sat on his bed as the sky darken. It was already early evening. He had spent the last few hours settling on his hotel room. He would start his tour tomorrow.
He had opened up the tourist brochure and smiled as he looked at familiar places. It wasn't because he had been there, but because Sakura had shown him these places a few times before. Places she said they have to visit once they were able to go to Egypt.
As he browses to the pages, the familiar sights and artifacts jutted more and more memories of his wife.
Sasuke clutched at his chest as he felt it once more.
Unbearable longing for his family.
He closed his eyes, but that just made it worst. He could see them in his mind. He wants so bad to see them again. To touch them, to hold them; each one of them. He just missed them so much. It had been years since he last saw them.
I'm just too far,
From where you are,
I've got to come home,
Let me come home.
---
The streets were now covered with a sheet of white.
It had gotten very cold, but the decorations had given the city a feel of warmth.
It would be Christmas in a few days.
Another winter day
Has come and gone away
In either Paris or Rome
Paris looked absolutely beautiful just then, but Sasuke wasn't tempted to stay.
He smiled as he entered the airport. He had decided to come back Japan. He can do it now.
Sasuke felt light just then. As if a burden was lifted from his back.
He was going home.
He couldn't believe it had been ten years since he last saw them.
His Sakura, his beautiful and perfect wife; always there for him, always believing in him, always seeing the best in him even at the worst times.
His eldest Sarada, ever the responsible, just like her mom. She looked very much like Sasuke physically, but she had definitely gotten her mom's attitude and maturity.
His son, Saburo; his mischievous smile, his overprotectiveness over his family and friends. His jokes that could always get a laugh from anyone even at the saddest times.
His youngest daughter, Satsuki, who anyone can't help but love; always smiling, always sweet, always waiting for his Papa to come home and he didn't want to make her—all of them wait anymore.
He was at long last, ready to return home; ready to face what's ahead of him.
He relaxed into his seat as the airplane takes off.
It was Paris looking smaller and smaller he last saw before sleep took him.
I've had my run,
Baby I'm done,
I want to come home.
Sasuke opened his eyes, and unimaginable happiness seeped through his veins.
He couldn't believe he was finally seeing his family.
Sakura, as beautiful as ever.
Sarada, now taller than her mom, though looking as young as he last saw her.
Saburo, still with his mischievous grin.
Satsuki, with her eyes so much like Sakura's expressing more than what Sasuke could understand.
They were right in front of him. Finally.
He smiled and turned to his wife.
"Okaeri." Sakura said, offering a hand to him.
It'll all be alright,
I'll be home tonight,
I'm coming back home.
Sasuke took it.
"Tadaima."
---
The phone rang four times before a young woman answered it.
The young woman's eyes widen at what she heard from the other line and with a thud, the phone has fallen on the floor.
Her father had looked up at this.
"What is it? Who was that?" He asked his daughter.
"Daddy." She called to him.
He stood up at the look on his daughter's face and went to her. "What is it? What happened?" He asked.
"Daddy... It was Uncle Sai. Uncle Sasuke... he's gone." She said, tearing up.
Naruto had gone numb.
Himawari continued talking, now really crying. "Plane crash. He was finally going back..."
Naruto had unconsciously wrapped his daughter in his arms. Himawari had returned the hug, clinging to her dad and crying.
"He..." Naruto tried to say. "He can finally see them, Hima." He managed to say, though his voice cracked and he too, let the tears fall from his eyes.

It was a cold winter day.
Sasuke heaved the last bag and placed it at the back of the car.
"Papa, I still can't believe you're not coming." Satsuki had said, irritated, though her voice had tinge of sadness.
"Who said I'm not coming?" Sasuke said. "I'll just be a bit late. You know I've already committed to this shoot."
"But you can miss our family reunion." Satsuki grumped.
"I'll be there as soon as I can. I promise." Sasuke said as he closed the trunk. This was a high-profile shoot and he couldn't really cancel it last minute.
Satsuki didn't reply but she still looked sad.
Suddenly she was lifted off the ground by Saburo.
"Sabu-nii!" She shrieked, indignantly. "Put me down!"
But Saburo didn't listen and started swaying his little sister until she was calmed down and giggling. It wasn't hard for Saburo since Satsuki was so small. So, like her mother.
"Papa will be there so stop acting like a spoiled brat." He teased.
Satsuki scrunched her face at him. Saburo laughed.
"Come off it." Sarada chided gently. "We have to get going, or we'll be late." She said as she opened the door to the driver's seat.
"You didn't forget anything, right?" Sakura called out, looking a bit harassed.
"Nope, double-checked everything." Saburo said. "Relax, mom."
"Well, we really need to go now." Sakura said, directing this to Sasuke. Sasuke nodded and hugged his wife and children. "Be careful." He told them, addressing Sarada, mainly.
"I will, Papa." She said.
"Don't overwork yourself. We can wait for you." Sakura said and peck him on his lips.
He smiled and nodded.
"You better come." Satsuki threatened. Sasuke chuckled and swore on his life that he will.
He watched as his family got on the car. He watched their car disappeared as it turned to another street.
And it was the last time they saw them.
Right after the shoot, Sasuke was called out and was given the unfortunate news.
There was a car crash. The other car's driver was drunk, just having been from a party. Unfortunately, because of the collision, and because of the slippery road, the other car fell off the cliff, and not one of the family survived.
END.
And if I promise not to feel this pain,
Will I see you again? Will I see you again?
Cause time will pass me by
Maybe I'll never learn to smile
But I know I'll make it through
If you wait for me
And all tears I cry
No matter how I try
They'll never bring you home to me
Won't you wait for me
In heaven?
