Enemies in Love

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

On the left side stands none other than Gawr Gura herself. One of the famous leaders of the more famous mafia. Her enemy is none other than Amelia Watson. One of the leaders of the most criminal mafia in this city. No one has yet been able to unravel her antics and undertakings, so she was called "mystery woman".

There are no souls around them. They are clearly alone here, as planned. Now both leaders are having eye-to-eye agreements and no one, including their deputies, should be here.

This war between them has been going on for a year now. No one knows the exact reason for this, but everyone is sure that this reason is worth arguing for so long. Who knows, maybe they are just bored, and mocking each other is still childish.

Now they were standing in the middle of some alleyway deep in the night. Their eyes didn't open from each other, even when they were close enough. A smirk of excitement played on Amelia's lips, her hands were folded behind her back, and her eyes were directed straight at the white-haired one. Her expression said so: how about another game of chess? Their last game of chess was what was the decisive move that went to Amelia's side. Gura lost, which means she had to give out information on finding their secret base, which is now being monitored by the blonde's organization. How then she cursed herself for such set rules and the victory of the winner, who was no longer hers. And most importantly. Mafia Gura couldn't change its location, otherwise it would be immediately found. Amelia already has all the information she needs to figure them out next time.

This afterlife silence was finally interrupted by Amelia, who decided not to wait any longer. At least it was boring.

"Miss Gura, are you seriously going to stand there and look at me?" Amelia declared as the smirk on her lips got bigger. She didn't wait for an answer, so she decided to keep teasing her. "Look, don't fall in love with me because of my pretty face and cuteness."

"Looks like your humor hasn't left you yet." Gura finally spoke, taking a step forward. The distance between them was now shorter. "And how is it to have absolutely all the information about everyone?"

"Oh, you know, princess," Amelia said in a very soft voice, especially when she highlighted the emphasis on Gura's nickname. "when I know all the moments and details of your trip to the shower, I sometimes think that this is too much."

Of course Amelia was joking. She didn't have that information. She just wants to joke, because sitting there in her windowless fortress is very boring and not fun. But Gura was too sensitive, it took less than a minute for her face to turn red and her lips to tremble.

"Wow, and how's the spectacle? Is it mesmerizing?" Gura tried to speak clearly, what she did well, but under the blonde's gaze, all her virtues collapsed.

"It's worth it to make my dignity twitch." She said, giving Gura an innocent smile. Her tone of voice said nothing but a desire to tease and laugh. "You know, maybe it still gets up at the sight of you."

Gura reflexively lowers her gaze below Amelia's waist, but sees nothing, she hears a chuckle from the blonde. Raising her head, she met Amelia's smug face.

"Did you really believe it? Princess, you make me wonder even more!"" The teasing timbre of the voice did not leave Amelia. She liked to flirt with Gura, no matter what loss it required.

If Gura hadn't had the patience, she would have hit this self-satisfied face a long time ago, which is already beginning to annoy her. She would have done it a long time ago, but something is clearly preventing it.

"You're in a good mood today, aren't you?" Gura noticed as she saw the blonde's smile grow even wider.

It was rare to see how someone as serious and stern as Amelia could find a different side to herself and a mother who was cheerful but too annoying. As they negotiate, Amelia's personality changes. She becomes more punctual, following her target, even ready to kill for it. Maybe it was for these features that she was chosen as the leader of her mafia already.

Amelia nodded. It was enough to confirm her words.

"So why did you invite me here anyway? You can't just distract me from my very important business just to look at me" Finally, Amelia spoke more seriously. Aside from her personal business, she had to meet with the Council mafia leader, but she rescheduled the meeting to make time for the white-haired one.

"This is going to sound stupid, but I couldn't refuse Kiara's request." Gura began, watching the attentive expression on Amelia's face as she waited for an answer to her question. "Your partner is Calliope Mori, you know her, right?"

"Certainly. I know everyone I've dealt with." Amelia spoke. Her patience will soon make itself felt if the girl hesitates. "Come on princess, my time is not unlimited."

"But in general. Kiara asked me to ask you if you could give Maury's number. I don't know why she should, but she said it was very important. And I don't feel comfortable saying no to my friends." Gura spoke in one breath, finally exhaling calmly.

"Oh, is that all." Amelia said before reaching into her jacket pocket. She took out a pen and a piece of paper, starting to write something. "Here you are."

Gura accepted the piece of paper given to her, on which the number was written in numbers. Thanking her, Gura was about to turn around and leave, when Amelia's disappointed voice was heard above her ear.

"Eh, you won’t even give a kiss for information?” Amelia sounds offended, as if her ice cream had been taken away from her. She pouts her lips, crossing her arms over her chest.

Gura chuckles softly before running up to the blonde and grabbing her tie. Pulling the red tie down, Gura pressed their lips together. She felt a victorious smirk on her lips. The kiss lasted about two minutes, after which they pulled away from each other.

"Thanks again, raccoon!" Gura said smiling at the blonde, who responded sharply to the familiar nickname.

"Hey! We sort of agreed that we don't mention my nickname, princess." Amelia's tone sounded menacing and angry, but Gura knew for sure that she was mentally smiling. "If your friend wants to meet Calli, just give me a call and I'll personally arrange a meeting for them."

"I'll keep you informed."

"How about a date tomorrow?" Amelia asked when Gura had moved a considerable distance.

She turned to the blonde with a smile on her face.

"Then you treat me!" Gura says and turns his back to Amelia before leaving.

Amelia shoves her hands into her trouser pockets, turning on her toes towards the other exit. Whistling, she heads off to her duties...

[THE END. I want to sleep.]
