Staring down at his paws Bumblestripe could hardly believe that he was mates with a shadowclan cat. Let alone one that Dovewing loved. But at the same time Bumblestripe wouldn't want it any other way.
Bumblestripe is a yellow tabby tom with green eyes. He doesn't find himself attractive nor does most she-cat's but at this point Bumblestripe doesn't care.
For almost his whole life Bumblestripe has been in love with a she-cat named Dovewing.
Now unlike Bumblestripe, Dovewing is the prettiest she-cat in thunderclan if not all the clans.
Dovewing has pretty fluffy grey fur with pink eyes. No cat cat match her beauty. But she is a massive asshole to say the least.
Bumblestripe tried his best to get Dovewing's attention. He considered himself her friend and he wanted to become her mate. Well, at least at the time he did.
But Dovewing replied harshly to everything that Bumblestripe did. Even if he was being nice.
The yellow tom made sure that he was never rude or cruel to her. Yet Dovewing treated him like a pile of shit anyway. Soon the two stopped being friends.
But then one night Bumblestripe snuck out of camp one night. He knows that it's against the warrior code but he just wanted to hunt a snack.
But soon he caught Dovewing's scent and he realized that she was out as well.
Bumblestripe wasn't trying to stalk her but he figured the two of them could hunt together or they could just talk about what happened recently.
But when Bumblestripe followed Dovewing he saw her talking with Tigerheart.
Now Bumblestripe thought that he was straight his whole life. But he had to admit that Tigerheart is pretty hot.
Tigerheart has a tabby pelt with amber eyes and a few scars and he has a cute heart marking on his chest.
Now Tigerheart is a shadowclan cat and Bumblestripe was confused on why Dovewing was talking to him. But when Dovewing left Tigerheart and him then talked.
Tigerheart told Bumblestripe to meet him again and for some stupid reason Bumblestripe agreed.
He didn't know why he did that. Maybe Bumblestripe shouldn't have. After all meeting a cat from another clan is against the warrior code.
But even worse this cat is mates with Dovewing! The cat that Bumblestripe at one point loved.
Bumblestripe should have been jealous or at least he should of had some sense. But in the end, he decided to meet with Tigerheart again and then again...
Bumblestripe realized three things. The main one is that he doesn't love Dovewing again anymore. She's a bitch to say the least.
The second one is that Bumblestripe realized he's bisexual, preferring she-cat's but still loving toms nonetheless.
And the final and most important thing that Bumblestripe discovered is that he loves Tigerheart.
As Tigerheart and Bumblestripe kept meeting Bumblestripe then decided to become mates with Tigerheart.
Now, Tigerheart is still mates with Dovewing and no this is not a consenting relationship.
Bumblestripe feels bad because he's dating a cat that is cheating on the cat he once loved. But Tigerheart isn't a bad cat.
He tried breaking up with Dovewing before but Dovewing just didn't understand. So in the end, he stayed with her.
Although Tigerheart reminds Bumblestripe daily that he truly loves him and not Dovewing, Bumblestripe can't help but think that he would feel less guilty if Tigerheart was not cheating on Dovewing.
Bumblestripe does know that Dovewing is a massive bitch and maybe just maybe she kind of deserves to get cheated on.
But at the same time Bumblestripe doubts that she does deserve this. But if she refuses to leave Tigerheart then that's her own problem.
Shaking away his thoughts Bumblestripe then let out a purr and ran over to Tigerheart, nuzzling him and smiling. He's so glad to see his beloved mate.
"Im so glad I can see you again. I missed you so much." Tigerheart purred.
"I missed you as well." Bumblestripe replied.
The two cats then moved away from each other. Tigerheart then smiled.
"Are you hungry? I know I am." Tigerheart asked.
"Well, I am. But I can eat once I go back to the thunderclan camp." Bumblestripe informed Tigerheart.
He didn't want to be a burden and make his mate catch him food.
"Nonsense. I'll catch us something!" Tigerheart declared. Before Bumblestripe could argue he then dashed off.
Tigerheart then caught the scent trail of a mouse and he crouched down, pressing his belly against the ground.
The tabby tom then leaped onto the mouse and sank his teeth into the prey's neck, killing it instantly.
Tigerheart then grabbed the mouse and placed it near Bumblestripe's paws.
"Let's eat." He purred.
The two mates then eagerly ate their prey. Once they were done eating they then began to play.
Bumblestripe leaped at Tigerheart and nuzzled him, the two rolled over on the ground until they got tired.
They then laid on the ground next to each other and they stared at the pretty stars in the sky.
"I love you." Tigerheart muttered.
"I love you too." Bumblestripe replied, nuzzling the tom's chest. He couldn't be happy.
But soon Dovewing leaped out of the bushes, her pink eyes narrowed.
"What did you just say?" Dovewing asked.
Instantly Tigerheart and Bumblestripe leaped up, unsheathing their claws.
Bumblestripe wondered what to say. But he couldn't speak.
"I said I loved Bumblestripe." Tigerheart spoke up.
"You love him? Another tom? I thought that you loved me!" Dovewing spat.
"I dont love you! You are an entitled bitch and I tried breaking up with you before but you didn't let me. I love Bumblestripe, not you." Tigerheart growled
Bumblestripe knows that what Tigerheart is saying is harsh. But it is true.
"How dare you cheat on me with that... Ugly rat!" Dovewing growled.
"Call Bumblestripe a rat again and I'll flay you." Tigerheart threatened.
Crying Dovewing then ran away. Bumblestripe didn't know what to do. He hopes that Dovewing won't tell the clan about this.
For one of the first times in his life Bumblestripe is truly scared and regrets his decisions.
