Work Text:
Ah. Peace and quiet— something the overworked college student barely has the luxury of. At home, he's always doing chores - allowing his siblings to bombard him with silly commands. Even at the Mankai dorms: everyone is so noisy. Each troupe shares a singular braincell (excluding Tsuzuru), and he wonders how they've gotten this far.
Oh, and do NOT get him started on the puppy-like upperclassman he just had to be infactuated with. Kazunari fucking Miyoshi. He's the loudest (on par with Taichi), the most irritating— but it's so cute... his enthusiasm is his charm. Even though he's so... obstreperous, Tsuzuru thoroughly enjoyed his company. He's a walking sunshine and not to mention so attractive and- God, Tsuzuru was so in love with him. How are they even together again? They're total opposites. It's so cliché to say this, but opposites truly do attract.
Rapid steps slowly faded in and the doors of the balcony slam open.
Oh dear, his moment of peace is over now. Speak of the devil.
"TSUZURUN! WHATS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN? I NEED TO SEE IF WE'RE COMPATIBLE TOGETHER."
"My zodiac? It's-"
Kazunari shushed him, sticking his tongue out and doing the peace sign. "JK! I obvs know your zodiac. It's leo, right?!"
"And yours is aries, isn't it?"
"No, it's le- Ooh! I see what you're doing!! Silly me, mixing up our signs!" He bonked himself before taking a seat next to Tsuzuru. He pulled out his phone, showing Tsuzuru the website onscreen.
"See this? It says we're compatible in both our romantic AND sexual relationship! And I took a love calculator test on us. I got a 98 perfect! We clearly need to work on our relationship."
Kazunari kept babbling on and Tsuzuru just listened to him intently, ignoring any innuendos the blond thinks he wouldn't catch.
"Hey, can you take your hand out? I want to compare our hands."
"..Huh?"
Not bothering to reiterate his words, Kazunari grabbed ahold of Tsuzuru's hand (aw, he was blushing!), pressing their palms together. The difference wasn't huge: Tsuzuru's hand was slightly larger and obviously callous. His fingernails were uneven, slightly chipped. Perhaps from typing on his keyboard? If Azami saw this, he would flip.
Kazunari's hand for the most part was pretty smooth, except the roughness in between his thumb and index finger. His fingers were slender, but his nails were almost the same as Tsuzuru's. He's wearing nail polish though, so it isn't noticeable.
The blond continued his investigation as Tsuzuru stared at him dumbfounded, unaware of his intentions– but it was cute seeing him so focused on something so little.
Slowly, Kazunari intertwined their fingers, rubbing Tsuzuru's thumb with his own. He brought their hands to his mouth, gently kissing Tsuzuru's hand. His face flushed, genuine shock from the sudden affection. Kazu removed his hand and opted to place it on the side of Tsuzuru's face, emerald eyes staring deep into turquoise ones. He guides his face to his own, pulling him into a kiss. It was short but sweet, and Tsuzuru quickly melted into it. They pulled away, and now Kazunari was the one blushing.
"Oh man. I just like, realized I love you. I don't like you. I love you, y'know? I have a crush on you, but this is more than a crush at the same time! You make my stomach become infested with butterflies, literally everything you do is SO adorable and I just- agh!! You're totes adorbs!" He shook the younger male (his face was completely red now. He wasn't mentally prepared for this.)
"I could say the same about you," he spoke when Kazunari finished his fit, "I really like you. Like, like like you. A lot." He laughed. "I am so glad the feelings are mutual. Want to get married?"
"Not accepting youd proposal without a ring."
"I have a ring pop!"
"That might solve this issue. I'll probably eat it though."
"Please don't eat our engagement ring!"
More laughter came from the two of them. They spoke until nightfall, and until someone had to come in and tell them to shut up because they were becoming way too loud. Plus it's like three in the morning, please get some sleep.
"Wanna have a sleepover?"
"No thanks. We're basically always having a sleepover."
"It's not the same! We sleep in completely seperate rooms! Let me sleep with you!"
"No! If this keeps up, I'll never be able to sleep."
"Tsuzuruuuun..!!!"
"Miyoshi-saaaaan..." he mocked him. Kazunari pouted.
"Fine. You won't get a goodnight message from me!"
"That's fine. Goodnight, Miyoshi-san."
"Goodnight Tsuzurun!! Love you!!"
He still got his goodnight message, with an unnecessary array of kissing emojis.
