Chloe was standing in a white void. She spun around slowly. She looked at the ground and smiled, knowing what was about to happen. Amenadiel appeared behind Chloe and she turned around. “Are you ready to go home?” Amenadiel asked. Chloe nodded and Amenadiel held out his hand. Chloe took Amenadiel’s hand and he took her to where she wanted to be… her Heaven: in Hell with Lucifer. Chloe arrived in the corridors of Hell. She looked up and saw the throne, thinking about what she said to Lucifer last time she was in Hell. It looks so lonely. It was. She then smiled, thinking about how that wouldn’t apply anymore. She was about to be reunited with him. She continued walking down the corridors of Hell walking past a group of demons, who rolled their eyes when they saw her knowing who she was, after which they walked away. She continued walking until she came across a brown door. A door she hadn’t seen on Earth for years, it was a replica of Linda’s office door. She instantly knew that she had found Lucifer. Her heartbeat increased because she was about to be reunited with the man she loves. She sighed and then walked to the door and knocked on it.
Lucifer was in his office talking to Reese, Vincent and a teenage girl talking about how Vincent needed more time. Lucifer then got up after hearing someone knocking on the door thinking it was a demon bringing food. He opened the door and he saw what he had been waiting for for nearly 60 thousand years. The most beautiful sight he would ever see. The love of his life… Chloe Decker was standing in front of him. “I thought you could use a partner,” Chloe said, followed by smiling. Lucifer smiled back. She walked towards him and they kissed. Lucifer closed the door and afterwards, they turned around and saw that another chair had appeared beside Lucifer’s. They sat down together and continued the session… together. Lucifer placed his left hand and Chloe’s right knee and she had her hands wrapped around his left arm. Chloe looked at Lucifer’s notepad thinking that this is what they were going to be doing until every soul had been liberated. But that’s not what Chloe was focused on. She was so happy to be with the man she loves again. They were smiling continuously. They were so happy to be together again, that they couldn’t contain their happiness.
After the session ended… Reese, Vincent and the girl returned to their Hell loops. Lucifer turned to face Chloe and they continued smiling. “I’ve missed you,” Lucifer said. Chloe placed her right hand on Lucifer’s left cheek.
“I’ve missed you too.” Tears were emerging from their eyes.
“Every day I wanted to come home. I wanted to be with you and our daughter. We could’ve been a family.”
“I know. You could’ve stayed. Rory would’ve been better if you had.” Lucifer nodded.
“Did you ever um…” Chloe instantly knew what Lucifer was about to ask.
“No. There was never going to be anyone else. Only you. I always turned away guys who came up to me in bars. I even put the ring on my ring finger to make guys believe that I was married. It did work. The only problem is it made me feel sad. How much I wanted you back.” Lucifer smiled, but looked sad at the same time. Lucifer placed his hand on Chloe’s.
“Well we don’t have to worry about that anymore. We’re together again now.” Chloe smiled. “And nothing’s going to separate us this time.” Lucifer smiled. They leaned in to kiss and when their tongues met, they both felt something that they hadn’t felt for a long time. They were lost in the moment thinking about how much they missed the feel of the other. When they separated Lucifer pointed with his eyes to the wall behind Chloe. Chloe turned around and saw a door. She turned back.
“What’s in there?”
“After you.” Chloe got up, walked over to the door and opened it. She walked in and saw a replica of the penthouse. She walked further into the room, standing just in front of the bottom of the stairs and turned around.
“You made this for me?” Lucifer nodded as he stood beside the piano.
“Yes my love. For you. I wanted you to feel like you were at home when you got here.” Chloe walked towards Lucifer and they kissed again. Chloe wrapped her arms and legs around Lucifer and he held her in his arms. Within a matter of moments, Chloe was up against the marble wall. Lucifer was kissing her neck.
“I’ve missed this,” Chloe said, moaning at the feel of Lucifer kissing her.
“Me too.” After some more neck kissing, Lucifer held out his hand, which Chloe took instantly, and they went over to the bed. They continued kissing, whilst removing each other’s clothes and they had sex.
In the morning, after having sex for many hours, they woke up happy. Lucifer woke up first and saw Chloe, who was still asleep, happy. Chloe then woke up less than thirty seconds later. “Oh. Hi,” Chloe said, whilst smiling.
“Hello.” They smiled at each other. Lucifer lied back down.
“That was more amazing then I remember.”
“Same.”
“We haven’t done that since I came to visit you on the day you retired.” Chloe nodded and turned to face Lucifer. She then rested her left arm and her head on Lucifer’s chest.
“I remember. That was such a bittersweet day. You came back to see me when I left the job that made me who I am.” Lucifer put his arm around Chloe.
“I wanted you to feel some sort of happiness.” They both began to look sad. “Wait, bittersweet?”
“Every day was bittersweet, Lucifer. The sweet part changed, but the bitter part was always the same.” Chloe looked up at Lucifer. “I wanted you to be there with me.”
“I know. I’ve been down here for nearly sixty thousand years and I spent every day wanting to return to you and be a family.” They both looked sad.
“I said to Rory that I wouldn’t change a thing. That isn’t true. I wanted a life where you were always there by my side.” They smiled slightly.
“You remember when Trixie asked us when we were getting married?” Chloe smiled. “Yeah. That was a good day…”
“I’ve been thinking about it.”
“Really?”
“Yes. I talked about it with Linda when I visited her. Both on Earth and recently in Heaven.” Chloe sat up slightly.
“Lucifer, if you proposed to me… I would say yes in an instant. But I don’t want our wedding to happen until Trixie gets to Heaven. I want her to be there,” Chloe said as she rested her head on Lucifer’s chest again. Lucifer nodded.
“I get that. And I agree. There’s nothing i’d like more than for everyone we care about to be there.” They both sighed. “So when the time comes, we can stand at the front of the aisle and say ‘I do’ to each other.” Chloe smiled.
“I look forward to that day, Lucifer.”
“Me too. But for now… we have a job to do.” Chloe smiled.
“Before that… do you want to take a shower?”
“You know I can’t resist you when you ask questions like that.” Chloe smiled and they got into the shower and had sex again.
After exiting the shower and getting dressed, they sat back down on the bed. Chloe looked down at the floor like something was bothering her. Lucifer sat down beside her and placed his arm around her. “Are you O.K.?” Lucifer asked. Chloe nodded.
“I’m fine Lucifer. It’s just…”
“What?”
“When I was walking down the corridors of Hell looking for you, I encountered a small group of demons who rolled their eyes and walked off when they saw me.”
“Really…?”
“Yes. I don’t think they like me.” Lucifer sighed.
“When I explained the changes I was making down here to the demons… I mentioned you. I said that, one day, you would be here alongside me. And they know how I feel about you. So they thought that one day you’d be their queen. And they don’t approve of bowing before a human. But don’t worry. After our wedding, when you officially become ‘Queen of Hell,’ they will listen to you. Whether that’s by choice or me forcing them to, well… that’s up to them.” Chloe smiled.
“Thank you Lucifer. That makes me feel more welcome.” Lucifer nodded.
“Good. I want you to feel more welcome since this is your home now.” Chloe smiled again and kissed Lucifer. They then stood up and walked towards the door that connects the penthouse replica to the office replica. “Are you ready?” Lucifer asked, as he held out his hand. Chloe turned to face Lucifer and took his hand.
“Always.” They smiled and entered the office to begin their first full day together helping souls.
And they continued helping souls until they had all been liberated. After that, they went and stayed in Heaven forever. Also, they got married a week after Trixie arrived in Heaven.
