So what happened is that Jorts the Cat is also a fan of the pirate show, then someone on Twitter asked for a pirate flag that says 'our flag means unionize', and I obligingly delivered, albeit with antipodean spelling.
That said, there's already a black cat union flag with a 100+ year history - the IWW's sabo-cat, most likely originated by Ralph Chaplin, and redrawn, embroidered and spray-painted by countless labour activists since. Black cats also feature on Ruth Ewan's Silent Agitator artwork on the High Line, referencing another of Chaplin's stickers.
