Fireworks

Summary:

Kamisato Ayato has never been romantically interested in someone before, not until a bright Naganohara Yoimiya came along his way.

"Are you not going to the fireworks show, Commissioner?", her cheerful voice prodded him.

Chapter 1: The Yashiro Rascal is In Love with Fireworks Girl

Chapter Text

The city was bustling as the scorching sun sat on its throne high up on the sky. The pink leaves of the trees rustled ever so slightly and the merry voices of the children hung on the jovial air. Thoma whistled as he strode through the outskirts of Inazuma City, occasionally stopping to pet the dogs and fix some things for the Yashiro Commission. Some eyes were on him, the hostility present in their glaring orbs but the young man shrugged it off as he chuckled at the vendor before him. His green orbs fluttered away from the man and fixed on a familiar shade of light blue hair in the distance, casually hiding behind the green foliage. The wind ruffled his hair as he recognized the man behind the greenery, his eyebrows raised and his mouth agape.

"The goods last time pleased the Lord greatly, Mr. Takahiro. But, I have to go to tend to an important matter", he came up with an excuse as he scratched the back of his head.

The solemn man nodded and gave him a small smile, signalling that he can go and he sprinted towards the direction of the hair he recognized. As he got closer, the expensive white fabric was even more visible and a sweat dropped down his cheek. Thoma sighed and rubbed his forehead as his bright red and black jacket hugged his upper body snugly. He had never seen the man behave like this before, even back when they were still children and this greatly confused the green-eyed man.

"Milord, may I ask why you are currently hiding?"

The leaves shook and a cough came behind the green bush. A mop of light blue strands shot up from its hiding place and Ayato placed a finger on his lips. He then sighed and turned his head to the sea and Thoma followed his gaze. A girl with a crown of muted blonde hair stood on the sand surrounded with children, her slender hands fluttering in the air as her fingers grasped around a firecracker. Laughter drifted from the children's lips and they bounced excitedly as Yoimiya began to run, as if playing a game of tag. Thoma heard a low chuckle and his gaze turned to the Lord of the Kamisato Clan, disbelief and shock swirled in his emerald orbs.

Ayato focused his gaze on the cheerful Naganohara lady, his lips pulled into a soft smile as the breeze caressed his flawless face. His face was smooth and free from any blemishes but with a hint if blush at the peaks of his cheeks, his skin radiant, and the mole under his lip captivated any onlooker that crossed paths with him. His purple orbs glowed brightly as he inhaled the bustling air, his slender form remained gracefully straight even in a relaxed manner. The soft light blue strands that framed his face was fragrant and brushed by the finest hands in Inazuma. The luxurious cloth of his robes danced as he turned to Thoma's direction, the base of his black shoes dragging him back to the entrance of the city. As if he never even gazed at the bright girl by the sea and Thoma blinked his eyes rapidly before following the steps of the Lord with a grin on his smile. It seemed like the young Commissioner has a crush on the fireworks girl.

"Let us return to the city, Thoma. I have prepared an exotic milk for you", Ayato smiled with his eyes closed and Thoma felt a shiver run down his back.
