Chapter Text
You and Deku were sitting under a tree. The grass was green and so were the leaves on the tree. There was a slight breeze making the leaves and your hair sway. Deku was looking out over the field you were sitting in, and when you looked down you noticed your hands were on top of each other. You felt your face get warm at the thought of holding Deku's hand. When you saw him on your first day at UA, you'd quickly fallen in love with the cute broccoli boy that sat in front of you in class. Being alone in the field with him gave you the perfect chance to confess. Though, Deku had other plans.
"Um, Y/N?" Deku said turning to you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Yes?" You reply getting a bit nervous.
"I um, I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship or anything but uh..." Deku said looking away at the grass, putting his hand on his neck nervously.
"Nothing can ruin our friendship Deku. Your one of my closest friends." You say trying to comfort him.
Deku takes a deep breath. "Ok, here it goes. I like you Y/N. You could say I'm in love with you even. Your so kind to everyone and protect anyone in need. Your so amazing and I couldn't help but fall in love with you." Deku said smiling and looking at you nervously. His cheeks were bright pink.
You were a little surprised at first and you felt your face get hot, but when you were able to speak you said, "I-I like you too Deku. Your kind too and persevere through even the hardest challenges. And when you mutter to yourself when your writing in your notebooks it's kinda cute and silly." You smile and laugh a bit. Deku's face turns a shade of red and looks surprised, then he looks determined to do something but you don't know what.
Deku smiles and says, "Does that mean we're together then?"
Your a little surprised but you smile back and say, "I guess we are."
Your now boyfriend shuffles closer so that your shoulders brush against each other. He puts his arm around you, landing his hand on you right shoulder. He leans his head against your other shoulder smiling. You lean your head against his and smile. You didn't think this would happen to you today. Deku just invited you with him because he wanted to show you a cool spot to sit and relax. Guess he had other plans as well.
You both fall asleep and the only thing that woke you up was a text from you parents saying that it was time for dinner. You lift your head and look at the now asleep broccoli against you. You don't want to wake him up because he looks so cute asleep but you don't want to just leave without telling him.
You softy say to Deku, "Hey Deku, wake up sleepyhead."
He yawns and says, "Five more minutes." Without opening his eyes.
"Well I have to go back home for dinner. You can join me if you like but I've got to go." You say to a slowly waking up Deku.
"I'll come with you to dinner if your parents don't mind." Deku said sitting up. "I love spending time with you and your mom has amazing cooking." He says smiling at you lovingly.
"My parents don't mind if you come over. You know how laid back they are." You reply smiling.
"Ok." Deku says standing. You stand up as well.
You hold each other's hand and walk towards your house. You felt like everything was right in the world, even though you knew there were still problems out there. You and Deku walk towards your house talking along the way. This couldn't have gone any better.
