“Tu es si beau.”
“Why won’t you ever tell me what you’re saying?” Charlie asked, walking hand in hand with Nick, who he could hear attempting to hide a laugh, and he nudged him on the shoulder in a silent response.
Nick looked over at him, a soft smile forming on his face. “That’s for me to know, not you, mon chéri.” Despite it not being the answer Charlie had been wanting, he blushed. The look on Nick’s face was enough to make him lose his breath, let alone him looking like that while saying things to him in a language he couldn’t understand.
The moment dissipated as they reached the ice cream shop they were having their date at. Even knowing that they were going on a date, right that moment, Charlie still found it hard to believe that it wasn’t all just a dream he made up. Nick wants to be with him, even in front of everyone else, and even after learning who Charlie is and all of his faults.
A voice interrupted his internal monologue. “One bubble gum cone, and one chocolate, right, Char?” Nick looked at him expectantly. He flushed, both embarrassed that he had spaced out, and at the nickname.
“Yeah, thank you.”
Nick gave him a reassuring smile before continuing to order. But when Charlie followed his gaze towards the person he was ordering from, he couldn’t help but notice how pretty she was. He wondered what life would be like if Nick ever got bored of Charlie, or finally realized that he wasn’t everything Nick believed him to be. It’s not something he ever wants to happen, even if he’s surprised that it hasn’t already.
Before he could let his mind wander too far, Nick’s hand grabbed his and started leading him to the tables closest to the back window. The feeling of their hands together never failed to make Charlie feel like his lungs were collapsing in the best possible way.
Moments after they sat down, they were already in a conversation about who the best Marvel character was, and why Charlie needed to watch the movies with Nick. “Really! I don’t know how I didn’t know I was bisexual, Gwen and Peter Parker are totally bi. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.”
Charlie couldn’t help but smile, watching Nick grow into himself and his sexuality has been so heartwarming, and to know he’s comfortable enough with himself to be with Charlie, and talk about it out in the open like he is, means a lot to him.
“Nick?” They both looked up to find someone setting their ice-creams on the counter..
He smiled at Charlie apologetically before going to get their order. It was the same girl from before. They begin talking to eachother, and she’s smiling, and even her teeth are pretty. Who has pretty teeth? He has to tear his gaze away when Nick starts laughing at a joke she made because his insecurities were irrational, but not easy to stop.
A few moments passed, and when he looked up to the counter again, the girl made eye-contact with him before looking back down to write something. Their ice-cream has got to be at least partially melted by now. The girl hands Nick a napkin, and he stares at it for a moment before finally grabbing their cones to head back to the table. Before he gets to Charlie though, he stops by the trashcan to throw away the napkin.
When he gets back to the table, Charlie smiles. “Hi.”
“Hi,” He pauses as Nick hands him his ice-cream cone. “Why’d you throw away our napkins? You know you’re a messy eater.”
Nick stills at the question, before sitting down and promptly answering, “She wrote her number down on them even though I told her my boyfriend was waiting for me.” Charlie can’t tell whether he should be happy or not.
“She was pretty.” Is all he could manage to say, too many things running through his head.
From across the table, Nick grabbed his hand, silently asking Charlie to meet his gaze. He hadn’t even noticed he looked away, but when their eyes met again all of his worries disappeared. Nick has a way of doing things like that. “Not as pretty as you, mon coeur.” There was a brief pause before he continued, “Mon coeur t’appartient”
Charlie couldn’t help but smile, “What does that mean?” Everything felt light, and he knew that his ice-cream was melting, but he didn’t care.
Nick answered easily, as if there were no question about it. “It means my heart is yours.” Charlie felt like he was going to burst at the seams, while Nick just started to eat at his cone as if he hadn’t just said he loved him. Charlie looked down and started eating his ice-cream as well, humming slightly at the taste.
“I love you too.” Maybe it was allowed to be easy.

It was late in the afternoon, and Nick and Charlie were finally able to hang out because exam season was over, so they had taken Nellie to the park. Something about laying in the grass with his two favorite people made Charlie feel at home. Everything about Nick radiated home, his smell, his face, his voice. Everything about him felt safe, and like that was where Charlie was meant to be. So here he was, with his two favorite people, feeling at home, talking about everything and nothing at all. Having mindless conversation and just being with eachother was always one of his all time favorite things to do. Other than kiss. That’s nice too.
“I wonder what kind of accent Nellie would have?” Charlie paused, looking over at Nick, who was barely masking his amusement. “What? That’s a normal thing to wonder about!” He defended himself. Truly, it was. Who hasn’t thought of what their animal's voice would sound like? Personally, he thinks that dogs can all talk to eachother and make fun of humans for not understanding.
Nick's face changed into a smile that frequently made Charlie blush an embarrassing shade of red, “Ton esprit m'étonne.” He wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he liked that Nick still says things in French to him even when he complains about it. The sound of his voice always wrapped around his heart and tugged as hard as it could, and he’d let it as long as Nick allowed him to.
Charlie looked over at him, scandalized, “One day I’ll know what you’re saying, I’ll learn French if I have to.” Before he could get a response, he glanced to where Nellie was lying beside Nick, giving her a once-over before determining that she would definitely have a French accent, even if she wasn’t from France.
“I highly doubt that, mon amour.” He could hear Nick start petting Nellie, and he felt the need to defend himself even more after the idea of him learning French was brushed aside so quickly.
He sat up, gabbing his phone to show Nick the app he downloaded earlier in the week that was supposed to help him learn. “See, you underestimate me!” He punched him lightly on the shoulder, trying to pretend he was angrier than he actually was.
Nick just laughed, seeing right through him. “And have you actually studied it for more than a minute?” He used his spare arm to push up and hold himself into a sitting position. “We spend every spare minute together, I’ll know when you learn French.” Charlie blushed, he was right, but he wasn’t going to let Nick know that, so he used the opportunity to seize a kiss from the other.
They fell back down, this time with Charlie laying basically on top of Nick. He hadn’t realized it had been so long since they were able to do this, school taking up the majority of their time recently. “That’s cheating!” Nick said between kisses.
“You love me anyways.” Charlie blushed, pulling him into yet another kiss, not letting him have the chance to reply. Yeah, this is nice.
He vaguely acknowledges that Nellie moved from her position to go play with another dog that showed up across the yard, and continues kissing Nick. Being able to kiss him in public without the fear or shame that someone else might see them spurring him on even more.
A few minutes later, when they were still laying on eachother out of breath and Nellie was running around the park, Charlie heard him say, “Oui, je t’aime.” He didn’t know much French, but he did know that the last part of what he said meant I love you. He tightened his hold on Nick, and tucked his head into his shoulder. What had he done to deserve something, someone, so wonderful?

Charlie’s bad days weren’t as frequent as they used to be. There were still days when he couldn’t find the energy to leave his bed, or he’d find himself obsessing over every item he ate that day, but he was okay. Things were okay.
Today they weren’t. And Nick noticed.
“Are you alright?” His boyfriends worried voice rang from across his room, seemingly louder than it actually was.
Charlie tried not to visibly cringe, “Of course, I’m just not that hungry. I’ll eat something later, don't worry.” The fake enthusiasm laced through his words wasn’t hiding anything from Nick. He knew. He always knew. Charlie tried not to be angry at him, because he knew Nick just wanted him to be healthy, but some irrational part of him was still upset that he wouldn’t just leave it alone.
The bed dipped beside him, and he stilled, leaning forward in order to cage his body from view. Nick's gentle voice stopped him from speaking up. “Char, you need to eat.” Something stirred in his body, the thought of food right now making him sick to his stomach. Why does he have to? He didn’t deserve it. He was disgusting already, and that would only make things worse.
Arms ghosted over his, asking for permission to hug him. When he didn’t move away, Nick held him in his arms, rocking them back and forth. “I know I’ll never fully understand, but seriously Charlie, you’re perfect. And I want you to take care of yourself. Please try.”
Charlie wanted to cry, he hated himself for making Nick worry, and that just made him more sick at his stomach. He couldn’t do anything right. He couldn’t eat like a normal person, but he couldn’t even not eat properly, he always dragged someone else into his problems and hurt them. “I’m sorry.” His voice shook, and he could barely recognize that it was himself speaking. “Even thinking about it makes me so sick. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m just broken.” Nick tightened his arms around him, and all he could think about was the fact that he could feel Charlie’s body underneath his clothes.
“You are not broken. You have never been broken Charlie.” He moved one of his hands away from Charlie’s abdomen in order to hold the side of his face. He slowly tilted Charlie’s head to meet his eyes. “Tu est parfait” Despite the tears that were welling up in his eyes, Charlie couldn’t stop himself from laughing.
“Did you just call me a desert?” Nick smiled and softly shook his head, leaning in to give him a kiss before pulling his body back into his arms again.
He still felt sick at his stomach, and the idea of eating anything made his stomach churn, calling him a traitor for even thinking about it. But Nick was here, and he didn’t think he was disgusting. “I wish I could see myself the way that you do,” he sighed, the muscles in his body slowly beginning to untense as he laid his head on Nicks shoulder.
Nick hummed in agreement, “Me too,” his breath was hot against his head, “We’ll get there, mon trésor.”
Charlie’s throat closed up, “What if we don’t? What if I’m always like this?” The idea of recovering was simultaneously terrifying, and something he wanted so desperately. It felt unachievable, and he hated it.
Every time he was close to being okay, something in his mind would snap, sending him in a spiral of self hatred.
“I love you Char. Recovery is something you have to do yourself, but you don’t have to do it alone.” His arm moved to hold his hand, rubbing circles into his skin. “You deserve to be happy, fuck whatever your sad brain says.”
When he thought about it, Nick was right. Every time he felt like he was sinking too deep into his thoughts, and self hatred tried to consume him, he was always there to drag him back out of it. He wasn’t alone, and Nick chose to be there. He wanted to love him, even with all of his baggage.
From beside him, he could feel Nicks breathing stutter. “Je ne peux pas vivre sans toi.” Whatever he said, he felt strongly about it. He could feel the emotion coming from the words, and it only solidified the fact that he needed to keep going. He needed to recover, he deserved it. They both deserved it.
“Thank you. You know I really love you right?” Charlie asked. Once again thinking of what he did to deserve someone like Nick. “Sometimes I feel like I don’t deserve you, but I’m glad you’re here.”
Nick moved away, stretching before standing up again. “You definitely deserve me Char. Every day I ask myself how I managed to get such a perfect, beautiful, and kind boyfriend.” Charlie blushed, enjoying the compliment but trying his hardest to pretend he didn’t.
“God you’re so cringe.”
“I think we’ve established that that’s our thing, yeah?” He reached out his hand, and pulled Charlie up from his place on the bed. “Wanna go on a walk? We can stop by and get some food and maybe go to the park and look at cute dogs.”
Charlie didn’t let go of his hand once he was stood upright, and just smiled at his boyfriend. “Yeah, sure.” It wouldn’t be easy, of course. There was still the voice in his head telling himself that he should be ashamed of himself, and that Nick would realize how gross he was sooner or later, but Nick was right here, right now, saying the exact opposite.
Things wouldn’t always be perfect, and his recovery wouldn’t be instant. There would be ups and downs, but as long as Nick was there he thinks that it’ll be worth it to try. He deserved to be happy, they both did.

It was the day of the summer formal and Nick had already assured Charlie multiple times that he wanted to go with him, but he couldn’t help but be nervous. The idea of Nick feeling like he needed to be out in front of the whole school made him feel gross. But that’s not what was happening, he was doing this because he wanted to.
“You look nice.” Tori’s voice scared him out of his thoughts.
Catching his breath, he looked over to where she was standing in his doorway. “Jesus Tori, how do you always do that?”
She just smiled and walked over to where he was in front of the mirror. “Did he get you a corsage?” She joked, roughing up his hair while he was actively trying to style it. He looked down, he wouldn’t mind too much if he did.
“Shut up! Do I look okay?” He asked, straightening his suit obsessively. Nick would be here any minute and his nerves were at an all time high.
She tugged at the side of his suit, getting out a wrinkle before giving him a once-over. “Yeah. I told you when I came in that you looked nice.” He let out a sigh of relief he didn’t notice he was holding in. He forced a smile when he looked in the mirror before heading downstairs, where Nick was soon to be knocking on the door.
In only a matter of seconds, he was there, and Charlie had to calm himself down before opening the door.
“Hi.” He smiled, his nerves slowly leaving his body at the sight of his boyfriend standing in front of him.
Nick walked in, brushing past him to stand in the doorway. “Hi.” He looked down, before bringing something out from where his hands had been behind his back, “I got you a flower. I know it’s supposed to be like a girly thing or whatever but it looked pretty and it reminded me of you so..” He trailed off, looking up at Charlie, who was now grinning like an idiot, instead of finishing his sentence
“I can’t believe you!” Charlie said, and Nick went to apologize but Charlie cut him off before he could, “I would have gotten something for you too if I’d known,” the boy was blushing more than he thought was humanly possible.
Nick brought his hand to his cheek and drew him into a kiss. Charlie’s blush deepened when they broke apart, and the other whispered, “Je ferai n'importe quoi pour toi chérie.” A shiver wracking through his body, at the breath against his ear.
Nick pulled back unfazed, “We’re gonna be late if we wait any longer. Moms waiting for us in the car.” He grabbed his hand and pulled him outside, barely giving him time to shout to Tori, saying he was leaving, and set the flower in the already filled vase by the door.
The drive to the school was comfortable, Mrs. Nelson asking him a few questions here and there. But his nerves were starting to act up again. Everyone would be watching them. They had been out for a while now, but people saying stuff about them and making fun of them would be inevitable. Charlie was used to it, but Nick didn’t have to be.
Nick instantly noticed his shift of mood, and moved his hand to rest on his thigh, that he hadn’t even noticed was beginning to shake. “Are you okay?” Something about the words made Charlie want to start crying right then and there, they always had.
“Yeah, just nervous.” He smiled at Nick, who was still looking at him with worry laced in his expression. “Really. My sad brains just trying to get the best of me.” He grabbed Nicks hand and squeezed, letting them both rest on top of his leg that was slowly beginning to still.
He still seemed unconvinced when he replied, but rested his head on Charlie’s shoulder to comfort him. “It’ll be okay. I want to be with you, who cares what anyone else thinks?” His thumb that had been rubbing circles on the inside of his thigh stopped abruptly, and he lifted his head to look at Charlie. “Unless you don’t want to..” he trailed off, suddenly insecure.
Charlie gripped his hand tighter, “Of course I do idiot. I always want to be with you.” Nick relaxed, and laid his head back down on his shoulder where it would stay for the rest of the car ride.
“Je ne sais pas ce que je ferais sans toi.”
Charlie had grown omfortable with the fact that he wouldn’t know what he was saying, but even with the language barrier, the love channeled through the words was always apparent. “I have no clue what that means, but I love you.”
Nick let out a breath that was close to, but not quite a laugh. “I love you too.”
Later that night, after they had both danced their hearts out, and eaten way too much food from the concession stands that were set up in the gym, where the dance was held, they were sitting on the bench outside of the school with all of their friends. Elle and Tao, who went together after they finally confessed to each other, were on the right. Darcy and Tara of course went with each other, having been the first of all of them to get together, and they were sat directly in the middle. Leaving Nick and Charlie to sit on the far left of the bench. Isaac had left early, saying something about one of his books being delivered and needing to go pick it up so that he could read it before bed.
“I had fun, what about you guys?” Tara’s voice cracked halfway through the sentence due to her screaming the lyrics of every song that played, making the rest of the group laugh.
Charlie, who was sitting next to her, nudged her, “We can all tell you had fun, that’s for sure.” He looked over at Nick before continuing, “I had fun though, yeah. I was so scared that it would go terribly but nobody even said anything. They just stared.”
Tara sighed in agreement, not volunteering her voice up for more teasing.
One by one the group left. Tao’s mom picked up him and Elle, and Darcy’s mom came to get her and Darcy. Each of them looking happier than could be.
“I’m glad I didn’t let my anxiety ruin tonight. I had a great time with you.” Charlie said once they were alone. He had many favorite days, almost all of them including Nick, but today would definitely be at the top of the list.
Nick wrapped his arm around Charlie and pulled him close to his side, “Me too, mon amour.”
Charlie smiled, “I know that one!” He laughed, leaning against his boyfriend, “I love you. Thank you for tonight.” Nick used his spare arm to card his fingers through his hair.
“I love you too.” He leaned in so close that Charlie could feel his breath on his ear, similarly to when he first picked him up, “Merci d'être toi.”
Before Charlie could say anything back, he was being pulled into a standing position and dragged to the car that had just pulled up. “Mom’s here,” Nick looked back at him, where Charlie was thoroughly embarrassed.

“What movie do you wanna watch?” Nick asked, settling underneath the covers.
Charlie, who had already gotten himself comfortable, took a minute to think about it. “I’ve never seen Titanic,” he looked over to Nick, “We could always watch that.” He watched as his boyfriends face shifted to a look of horror.
“Do you want me dead? I told you how sad that movie is.” He still couldn’t believe that his boyfriend had never watched the movie, but honestly he was jealous. He watched it a few years ago and spent the whole night sobbing. There was room on the fucking door!
Charlie just laughed at the dramatics, shrugging. “I mean how bad could it really be?” Nick gave him a look, but he ignored it to type the name into the computer sitting between their laps. When he finally had it pulled up, Nick still hadn’t said a word. Instead busying himself by eating the popcorn.
“Hey! If you eat it all before the movie starts we won’t have any later dumbass.” He really didn’t mind. Honestly it was just a ploy for Nick to get him more whenever they ran out, he could blame it on him and he wouldn’t need to get up.
Nick chucked a handful at Charlie in response, the movie beginning to play. “Pay attention to the movie! Leave me to wallow in sadness while I remember what’s going to happen.”
Charlie just rolled his eyes, turning to look at the screen again.
An hour later, Charlie was fully immersed in the movie. So he didn’t notice Nick leave the bed to go get more food. “They’re so cute though! Why didn’t you want to watch this?” When a few moments later there was still no reply, he looked to his right and noticed the empty bed. For a split second he felt sad, and then he noticed the missing popcorn bowl and smiled to himself, knowing that his plan had worked.
He looked back at the screen to continue the movie. Still confused as to why Nick thought it wasn’t a good movie for date night. It was about thirty minutes after that he realized why. The ship had begun sinking and everyone was so scared, he felt so bad for everyone on the ship. Especially knowing that this actually happened in real life. Nick was still gone so he couldn’t hold onto him, so he brought his knees to his chest and held onto himself.
“Charlie? What’s wrong?” He turned to look at Nick, tears streaming down his face.
Nick sped over to the bed, setting the popcorn bowl on the end of the bed so that it wouldn’t get knocked over and slid in beside Charlie, who immediately cling onto him. “This was a mistake.”
“C’est bon mon amour.” He held him closer.
Charlie felt dumb for being sad, “I missed you.” He sniffed, “You were right, this movie is so sad.” Nick just ran his hands through his hair and Charlie felt his body relax at the movement.
Nick reached over to pause the movie, “We can stop if you want. I can tell you how it ends.” Charlie blushed at how understanding his boyfriend was being and shook his head.
“It’s okay, just don’t leave again until the movies over.”
“Je ne te quitterais jamais.” He replied, reaching forward once more to unpause the movie
Charlie leaned back and shifted until he was comfortable against his back, “I’ll have you know, I’ve been practicing my French. You’ve seen me!”
Nick just hummed, his eyes not leaving the screen. “I know, mon amour.”
Later, they both cried and argued that both Jack and Rose could have fit on that door, and agreed that if that ever happened to them, they would make it work. Neither of them would die.

Through the years, Charlie and Nicks ‘honeymoon phase’ never wore off. Some people told them that if soulmates existed, there was no doubt that Nick and Charlie were each others. They couldn’t help but agree.
There were ups and downs, every relationship had them, but they were always okay. Charlie still got insecure at times, even Nick did too, but there was an understanding between them that there would be no-one else better for each other. They even had a dog!
A dog that was currently messing up his outfit, actually. “Daisy sweetheart get down! I’m trying to get dressed.” He pouted, and the puppy whined but stopped pawing at his legs. Instead opting to cry until he picked her up.
He let out a sigh, giving up almost immediately at being mad at her and leaned down to pick her up. He then went to go find his boyfriend, who insisted on getting ready in different rooms. “Nick?” He paused at the bathroom, knocking on the door. “You done? I’m about to take Daisy outside so she can go to the bathroom before we go.”
The door opened so fast it almost knocked him and Daisy both into the door, revealing his boyfriend who looked out of breath. “Yeah I’m ready, let’s take her together.” He smiled, making grabby hands at the puppy who was now squirming in his arms to go to her other dad.
Charlie sighed, feigning annoyance. “You’re her favorite. I swear.” Nick laughed at him and slung the arm that wasn’t holding Daisy around his shoulders, walking them towards the door.
“I’m not! She loves us both equally.” He stops slightly in front of Charlie, making it to where she couldn’t see him anymore, to which she immediately began crying. “See?” Charlie’s heart felt like there were a million strings wrapped around it and they were all going rip it apart.
He quickly sped up to reach the two again, and gave her a kiss on the head. She licked his nose, and they started out the door again. Once they sat her outside, they turned to each other, allowing her to do her business. “Did you shave?” Charlie asked, instinctively reaching his hand out to feel where there was normally a stubble.
Nick blushed and looked over at the puppy, “Yeah, I didn’t think you’d notice.” He didn’t say anything for a while, but asked out of nowhere, “Does it look okay?”
Charlie’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “You always look good, what’s this all about?” He looked over towards Daisy, like Nick had done before. Trying to make him more comfortable, thinking maybe he was staring for too long.
“Just nervous.” That didn’t make any sense, they’d been on dozens of dates.
Charlie reached over to grab his hand, “We can stay in tonight and get takeout if you’re not feeling okay.” Suddenly feeling worried for his boyfriend.
To that, Nick immediately perked up, “No! There’s no need, I’ll be fine.” He looked towards his boyfriend and smiled. “Je t'aime de tout mon cœur.” The habit of saying endearing things to Charlie in French never died, but nowadays Charlie actually understood what he was saying. They spent an entire year teaching Charlie how to speak French.
“I love you too, idiot.” He couldn’t hold back his smile. Before, the words made him blush without understanding the meaning, but knowing what he was saying? Even years into their relationship, it still made Charlie melt. “Let’s get Daisy back inside.” He left his place by his boyfriend to go pick her up and take her to her playpen where she’d take a nap.
“Bonne nuit Bébé.” Nick kissed her on the forehead as Charlie sat her down. He had taken to speaking to her in French as well. And Charlie felt like he was going to explode every time he caught his boyfriend doing it because it was so cute.
He stood back, giving them a moment before reaching for Nicks hand, “We’re going to be late if we don’t leave now, mon amour.” Taking a page out of Nicks book and using the term of endearment.
Nick jumped up, and hurriedly grabbed the keys before making his way to the car, Charlie’s hand still in his. When he drove, he almost always had his left hand intertwined with Charlie’s on his lap. Even when Charlie yelled at him about car safety, he defended himself saying that it makes him less nervous. Really, how could he say no to that?
When they finally got to the restaurant, he realized why Nick didn’t tell him where they were going. It looked so expensive. Lights were strung out across the outside seating and it was so beautiful. “How much money did you spend on this?” Nick had already started to leave his seat, but Charlie sat there in awe. There seemed to be nobody outside either, so it was perfect.
When his door was opened, he snapped out of the trance and looked at Nick, who smiled at his amazement. “You don’t need to worry about that. Tao said he knew a guy, so we got the reservation for half price.” He reached out his hand once Charlie had unbuckled and helped him out of the car.
Charlie still couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was, even when they got seated and the server came to take their order. Charlie got alfredo pasta, Something he almost always got when they went out to eat and Nick stuck to getting a steak. Laughing when Charlie called him basic.
They spent a few minutes in comfortable silence after their food got to the table. Nick stealing a few bites of his pasta, and Charlie cutting off some of his steak for himself, but Charlie noticed Nick starting to fidget in his seat and he remembered that he was anxious before coming out.
He reached over to the hand Nick wasn’t using to eat, “Are you alright? Do we need to leave?” Charlie was growing more and more concerned by the second. Nick just looked up at him and smiled, taking a shaky breath that did nothing at all to ease his mind.
“Babe? What’s going on?”
Nick let go of his hand and began to stand from his chair, to which Charlie did the same, thinking that they were going to go home and chill out for the rest of the night. It wouldn’t be the first time, but Nick grabbed his arm preventing him from walking away, instead holding him still.
“Charlie Spring,” Nick began, slowly beginning to kneel, “I’ve been in love with you since the day we met.” Charlie couldn’t believe what was happening. He always assumed they would get married, but the fact that it was happening now was so overwhelming that he couldn’t help the sob that came out of his mouth and immediately covered it with his hand. “You’ve been there through everything. Me figuring out my sexuality, who I was as a person, family members passing,” the tears were steadily coming from his eyes as Nick spoke. “Will you grant me the happiness of marrying me, and being there for the rest of my life?”
Charlie broke, knees collapsing from where he stood and he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. “Of course! God of course is that why you’ve been so nervous all day?” He pulled back, pulling him into a kiss before he could respond.
“Je vex être avec toi pour toujours,” Nick said between kisses, making Charlie stop and hold his face in his hands.
“I want to be with you forever as well, mon Chéri.”
