Notes:

Ok, guys, another story for my Felinette Akuma Shenanigans Collection!

it's incredible how much freedom Gabriel gives to our imagination with his pets 😅😅

Chapter Text

Felix entered the class and froze for a moment.

Ladybug was sitting right on the teacher’s table, dangling one leg and pressing the other knee to her chest.

It wasn’t a picture you could see every day, so it surprised even him.

And the most unusual wasn’t even this, but the fact that all the students that were already in the classroom didn’t pay any attention to the fact. But Felix moved to Paris only a few weeks ago, so maybe he just wasn’t familiar with strange customs that were accepted here?

Felix blinked and went to his seat behind Marinette, who was drawing something in her notebook. That was almost more unusual actually – to see her so early at school, – then to see a superhero sitting on a table like a street teenager.

Felix sat and looked at Ladybug again.

She seemed sad and worried. He wondered what she was doing here anyway? He didn’t hear any akuma alarm today. So maybe she came to talk about some new rules of conduct during akuma attacks and waited for everyone to gather?

But wasn’t she their age and shouldn’t she be in school as well now?

Alya Cesaire entered the class and greeted her best friend cheerfully. Marinette only said “Hey!” automatically without looking up from her notebook, and continued drawing.

But Ladybug perked up and waved her hands.

“Alya! Can you hear me?” She called.

The journalist ignored her idol, and Felix’s eyebrows jumped in surprise again. But he didn’t say anything, preferring to watch this circus from the side.

Was this some sort of prank? Did everyone decide to pretend that Ladybug wasn’t here? Or was it some weird game that he hadn’t been told about?

Adrien entered the class in the meantime with his usual smile and waved at everyone and no one in particular. He ignored the super-heroine as well and just sat at his place.

Ladybug sighed desperately.

“And you too.” She muttered to herself.

Felix frowned. Why would Adrien ignore his crush? Whatever awful game this was, the poor girl’s face was in despair.

Not that he cared.

But this looked too much for any reason they had.

Felix stared at Ladybug, who ran her hand over her face with a tired look and sighed again. Her eyes were wandering around the class and met his for a moment, before moving further.

Then Ladybug looked back at him intently. She turned around to check if there was something behind her, and looked back at Felix.

“Can you see me?” She asked nervously.

Felix narrowed his eyes on her.

“Shouldn’t I?” He asked.

Marinette turned back and looked at him.

“What?” She asked.

“I wasn’t talking to you.” Felix replied.

“Oh my god, you can see me!” Ladybug exclaimed, jumping from the table and rushing to him.

Marinette rolled her eyes and turned back to her desk.

Felix was staring at Ladybug, who came closer and was now standing next to him.

“If you can see and hear me, please nod.” She begged.

Felix stared at her for another moment.

If no one could see or hear Ladybug – and it reeeeally seemed like it, there were two main possibilities of what was happening right now. Three actually.

1. Felix was hallucinating. Which wasn’t probably the case, because... why would he?!

2. This was some stupid joke and everyone pretended not to see or hear Ladybug, and she played along with them, pretending that only he could see and hear her? But even though Felix could imagine organizing something like that to piss someone off, he couldn’t imagine the reason why all those people, including Ladybug, would do that to him.

3. Felix was actually the only person who could see and hear Ladybug, who was standing next to him, still waiting for his answer.

Let’s assume it was the third option, Felix thought and nodded slowly.

Ladybug breathed a sigh of relief.

“You must help me!” She demanded. “I was hit by this akuma that looked like a ghost. I almost couldn’t see them. And it split me in two!” She explained in an emotional tone, talking fast as if worried that he will stop to hear her too. “And no one can see this part of me now, even the other me.” She sighed. “She acts as if I never even existed...” Ladybug paused for a moment, thinking. Then shook her head and looked at him again. “But for some reason you can see me, right? And hear me too.”

Felix was listening to her attentively, narrowing his eyes. Then he opened his mouth to answer, but Ladybug put her hand to his mouth. Felix didn’t feel the actual touch, just a slight warmth on his lips.

“Don’t answer,” The heroine commanded. “They will think you talk to yourself.”

She started to walk there and back fast, muttering something under her breath.

Felix stood up and took his phone out. What he knew well — is how to trick people.

He went out of the classroom and, making sure that Ladybug was coming after him, placed his phone next to his ear, pretending to talk on it.

“How do I know this is all true?” He asked, stopping at the window, not far from the classroom.

Ladybug perched on the windowsill in front of him.

“What do you mean?” She asked. “Do you think I’m lying to you?”

“That’s not what I meant.” He clarified. “How can I know it isn’t some sort of a game?”

“Well, you can see I’m... I can’t really touch anything.” Ladybug replied.

She waved her hand, passing through his, and Felix felt the warm feeling on his skin, like a summer wind. Only he was fully dressed.

Ok, she wasn’t a real person, that was playing a game. No one could actually see her. But what about him? Could she be a product of his own mind?

Felix wanted to ask about it, when Ladybug spoke first.

“Concerning your imagination. Hmm... Any fact I could tell you about yourself, you know them too, so I could be your hallucination.” She sighed. “I don’t know how to prove to you that I’m real.”

“What about you?” He suggested. “You could tell me something about yourself that I could prove by checking. Something everyone can see or touch.”

Ladybug crossed her hands on her chest.

“There is no way I’m telling you my identity!” She said, “And there’s no other facts you could possibly check about me.”

“Well, this sounds pretty much like Ladybug that I would create in my imagination.” Felix smirked.

He was almost sure that the heroine was telling the truth, – with all the possible akumas that he read about, why not the ghost-akuma? But it was funny to tease Ladybug like this.

“So you won’t help me then?” She grumbled.

“I didn’t say that.” Felix was looking at her slyly.

“What are you saying then?!” Ladybug demanded angrily. “Do you believe me or not?!”

Felix sighed.

“Fine.” He said to his phone. “But I’m not skipping the classes because of you!”

Ladybug snorted.

“Who knew you were such a bookworm.” She said in an annoyed tone.

“Call me worm again, and you can look for another crazy boy who can see the ghosts.” Felix replied, removing his phone, and went back to the class.

*

When Felix was passing by Marinette he glanced at her notebook and his eyebrows jumped up once more: an entire page of her notebook was drawn with his portraits.

Felix sat at his chair and stared at Marinette’s back, while the teacher started the lesson. But Felix didn’t hear a word she was saying...

What was that about? Why did Marinette, who was crushing on his cousin, and even tried to confess to him once — not that Adrien knew about it — draw Felix’s portraits all over her notebook?

“Hey! Are you alive?” He heard and opened his mouth to reply, when he realized that it was Ladybug talking to him.

The huge boy, who was normally sitting next to Felix, wasn’t at school today, so the heroine sat at his place and apparently decided to patronize him.

Felix sighed and took his notebook.

‘Don’t annoy me,’ He wrote, and moved the page a little closer to her, so that she could read, but it wouldn’t look like he was sharing a note.

“Don’t be so rude!” She snapped. “Why are you staring at her like that?!” She demanded.

‘Maybe I like her, why do you care?’ He wrote, getting really annoyed.

“Do you?” Ladybug asked.

It seemed to Felix that she sounded surprised and a little embarrassed. Was it embarrassing for a superheroine to discuss someone’s personal life?

‘This is none of your business.’ Felix wrote on the page.

“If you weren’t so rude, I would compliment your handwriting.” Ladybug commented.

Felix shook his head.

‘Are you gonna distrust me the whole time?’ He wrote. ‘How do I suppose to learn something?’

“Oh, come on, you weren’t even listening to what the teacher was saying!” Ladybug protested. “We should have better try to bring me back instead of sitting here! I would tell the teacher that you were helping me afterwards.”

‘Right, if you proved you were real that is.’ He wrote.

“We have already been through this.” Ladybug said. “The only fact about me to know — is my identity, and there is no way I share it with you.”

‘What if it would be necessary to fix you?’ Felix wrote. ‘Did you even think about your next step? If you need to connect to your other self, you’ll have to tell me who you are anyway. How can I help you otherwise?’

“I don’t know.” Ladybug sighed. “We’ll have to find Chat, I guess... I don’t know...”

‘Or Shadow Moth.’

“And how do you imagine doing that?!” Ladybug exclaimed.

“Shush!” Felix hissed at her, forgetting that he was the only one to hear her noice.

Marinette turned and looked at him attentively.

Damn it! This Ladybug was so much trouble! Why would he even agree to help her?!

Felix opened his mouth and stuck in that position without knowing what to say.

What do you even say to a girl that you might have a tiny-winy crush on, and who is crushing on your cousin, but for some reason is drawing your face, when she thinks you called her, when you were actually shushing an annoying super-heroine who no one can see or hear except for you?

Marinette narrowed her eyes and turned back to her desk.

Felix covered his eyes with his palm and shook his head.

Now Marinette will think he is weird... Not that she would care about him enough to even think about it.

“You DO like her.” Ladybug said slowly, reminding Felix about her presence.

Why would he even be able to see her when no one did?!

Chapter 2

Summary:

Ladybug clapped her hand on her forehead.

“You gotta be kidding me…” She muttered.

“Shut up!” Felix hissed at her.

“What?” Marinette looked at him in surprise.

Chapter Text

“Where are you going?” Ladybug asked, catching up with Felix, who was walking quickly down the street, moving away from the school.

“Shopping center.” Felix replied without looking at her.

“What?! Why?!” The heroine exclaimed.

“Do you have better ideas of finding an invisible akuma in a huge city?” He asked skeptically.

“I don’t know,” Ladybug admitted, “But…”

“When you can’t find sprouts, you need to look for roots.” Felix interrupted her.

“What is that supposed to mean?!” The girl frowned.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this…” Felix muttered to himself, ignoring her question, when he entered the mall.

“What’s your plan, go shopping?!” Ladybug tried to keep up with him.

Felix rolled his eyes, obviously annoyed by her interrogations and not intending to let the heroine in on his plans.

He entered the fashion store, took a few things and went to the fitting room.

“Don’t peek!” He said to Ladybug, turning around and smirking.

“As if!” The girl exclaimed indignantly, but Felix noticed the embarrassed blush on her cheeks from under the mask.

He changed into clothes identical to what Adrien usually wore, left his own clothes in the fitting room and went out.

“Are you out of your mind?!” Ladybug yelled at him, when she saw Felix. “Why are you doing this?!”

The boy sighed once again and turned to her.

“Do you need my help or not?!” He asked in an irritated voice.

“Yes but…” Ladybug started.

“Do you mean YOU need my help?” A surprised store employee asked Felix.

“Of course!” The boy replied, looking at the man. “This is exactly what I wanted to say. Please deliver the clothes I left in the fitting room to this address.” Felix handed him a sheet of paper and several banknotes.

“Will be done immediately!” The store employee replied, smiling obligingly and quickly left.

Felix ruffled his hair in front of a nearby mirror, paid for the clothes and left the store.

“If you need my help,” He grunted as he looked askance at Ladybug who followed him with a guilty look, “Stop annoying me.”

“Fine.” The girl grumbled back and sighed. She is clearly used to keeping the situation under her control. “But can I help you somehow?”

“The only thing that could help is your personality.” Felix replied quietly. “Then we could try to connect you two and I wouldn’t have to… do what I’m about to do.”

“I already told you, she doesn’t even see me!” Ladybug protested. “And in general – it’s out of discussion.” She added firmly.

“Fine.” Felix grumbled. “Then stop making me look crazy and just disappear!” He said, walking out of the mall.

And the next moment he ran into someone and they both almost fell, but he caught the girl who bumped into him.

“Thank you, Adrien.” A familiar voice said softly.

Only now as the girl looked up at him Felix realized that he was holding Marinette.

“I thought you had fencing today!” Marinette said, straightening up and pulling away from him slightly.

“How do you...” Felix started bewildered and trailed off, slightly blushing.

His cousin had been sheltered for a long time, so Felix didn’t expect to run into someone Adrien knew personally, much less who could know he wasn’t supposed to be there.

Ladybug clapped her hand on her forehead.

“You gotta be kidding me…” She muttered.

“Shut up!” Felix hissed at her.

“What?” Marinette looked at him in surprise.

“I said that they shut the school of fencing for today.” Felix said quickly. “There is a problem with… uhhh… the pipes... water is everywhere…” He tried his best to recover – today Marinette would definitely decide he was crazy.

At least this time he was in his Adrien-disguise…

“Oh. Ok.” His classmate smiled softly. “This is very fortunate actually, because I wanted to talk to you.” She added, looking at him with hopeful eyes.

“You did?!” Felix and Ladybug said in unison.

“Yes. Umm...” Marinette lowered her eyes and blushed a little. “It’s about Felix.”

“F-felix?” The boy stuttered out of surprise.

“Oh, come on!” Ladybug got indignant. “You are not gonna pretend to be Adrien and talk to her about yourself, are you?!” She exclaimed.

Felix ignored her and continued staring at Marinette.

“Yes...” Marinette replied in the meantime. “You see, I think there is something wrong with him...” Marinette blushed deeper. “I don’t mean it in a bad way... It’s just that...I think he is not understood by others…”

“He… is not?” Felix repeated slowly and swallowed.

“Yes.” Marinette confirmed. “He is so smart and confident, but... it seems to me that he lost contact with people and closed himself in...” Marinette blushed more and more, still hiding her eyes.

Felix was listening to her words, feeling this familiar warmth spreading inside his chest, but much stronger, then he felt it before, stealthily watching her from the side.

His cheeks were burning and he was thankful that Marinette didn’t look at him, otherwise his disguise would be in danger…

“And I thought, he doesn’t let anyone near him, but you are relatives, so maybe he would listen to you?” Marinette glanced at him briefly and looked away in embarrassment again. “I think he just needs a little help to open up...”

Felix was staring at her speechless.

“You think I’m an idiot?” The girl asked, finally looking straight into his eyes.

“I... uh...” Felix started.

“Of course he does!” Ladybug exclaimed in annoyment. “Come on, Felix, this is ridiculous!”

“Why?” Felix asked quietly.

“Why what?” Marinette blinked at him.

“Why do you want... uh... me to talk to him?” He clarified.

“He’s not as bad as everyone thinks he is. I can see that.” She said firmly. “He just needs... a push, you know? A reason to open up to the world again.” She looked away. “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

Felix swallowed, feeling his cheeks burning stronger.

“I’ll see what I can do.” He said quietly so as not to betray the nervousness in his voice.

“Thank you, Adrien!” Marinette beamed. “I knew I could count on you!” She added and lifted on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. “See you tomorrow?” She said happily and waved goodbye.

Felix stared at her receding figure with an open mouth.

“Why would she...” Ladybug was looking at Marinette too. “This is ridiculous. What did this akuma even do?!”

Felix looked at her.

“What does Akuma have to do with Marinette?” He asked, frowning.

Ladybug turned to him and blinked.

“Hey, crazy boy!” She said finally. “Stop talking to yourself and get me out of this state already, whatever you planned for it!”

*

“When I said whatever you planned, I didn’t mean pretend to be Adrien and infiltrate Gabriel Agreste’s office.” Ladybug whisper-shouted at Felix as if someone could hear her. “You will be arrested!”

“Do you want my help or not?!” Felix hissed at her, disabling surveillance cameras.

“Yes, but...”

“This is not a ‘yes-but’ question, this is only a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question!” Felix insisted.

“Fine. But you’ll get in trouble!” Ladybug grumbled, crossing her hands on her chest.

“Worse than your annoying presence?” Felix teased, putting his ear with some small device to the safe, and turning the knob.

“Are you going to rob your own uncle?!” Ladybug exclaimed.

Felix silently rolled his eyes and continued to work on the safe intently.

In a minute there was a click and the door opened. Felix took out two brooches from the safe and Ladybug stared at him in bewilderment.

“I knew I saw them!” The boy whispered. “He won’t trick me anymore.”

“But... How?.. He was akumatized...” Ladybug muttered to herself.

“It was a sentimonster.” Felix smirked smugly, pleased that he was able to surprise the heroine even more than that he was right.

“But how do you...” Ladybug started.

“It’s a long story.” Felix replied triumphantly and attached brooches to his shirt. “So, what do I do with them?”

“I am not sure…” The girl replied. “Nooroo, Duusuu?” She called, looking around.

“Aren’t you supposed to know these things?” Felix asked in an annoyed tone, following her gaze and finding no one she could talk to. “And is it you who talks to ghosts now?” He teased.

“No.” Ladybug frowned. “There must be the kwamis.” She said as if it would explain her behaviour. “But for some reason they are not here.” Then she looked at the brooches. “Break them!” She commanded.

“Are you crazy?!” Felix whisper-shouted at her. “How am I supposed to return you without them?”

“The real miraculous are indestructible.” She explained. “I think those are fake.”

Felix took off one of the brooches and broke it into two halves easily.

“Damn old fox!” He hissed. “He tricked me!”

“Or you are wrong, and Gabriel is not Shadow Moth.” Ladybug suggested.

“I am not wrong.” Felix said firmly, put the fakes back in the safe and closed it. “Now it’s a matter of principle.” He added and headed for the door.

“What are you going to do?!” Ladybug asked worriedly. “It may be dangerous! Felix, wait! Let’s think!”

“I already thought.” He said and opened the office door...

And came face to face with Gabriel Agreste.

Chapter Text

“Adrien!” Gabriel exclaimed in an angry voice. “What were you doing in my office?!” He demanded. “Don’t you have a workout today?”

“Father, it’s good that I found you!” Felix cheered, faking soft Adrien’s voice. “I’ve been looking for you! I really need to talk to you.”

“You know I’m busy, son!” Gabriel frowned. “Besides, whatever you had to say, it wasn’t worth skipping your schedule for.” He added sternly.

“You are always busy for me, father!” Felix objected indignantly. “I bet even if I’m gone, you’ll find a place in your schedule first before you come to my funeral.” He said with resentment in his voice and frowned.

His words seemed to make Gabriel rethink his decision, because the man sighed and gestured towards his office.

Felix went back inside, followed by his uncle who closed the door behind him.

“What did you want to talk to me about, Adrien?” Gabriel asked sternly.

“About my photoshoots. And about my friends.” Felix started. “I barely have time to see the real people behind my frenetic schedule, father!” He continued, and when Gabriel opened his mouth clearly to object, Felix spoke faster. “Did my mother want such a life for me? Would she keep me away from the world so that I would not be prepared to meet it and any fool could deceive me?” His voice became desperate. “I’m a living person, father! I have the right to live!”

Gabriel was silent for a while, just looking at him.

“I am ready to listen to your suggestions.” He said finally after a long silence.

“I want to be able to invite friends home at least in my free time — I don’t have much of it.” Felix declared. “And maybe you could sponsor some kind of class trip that you think is appropriate for me so that I could both study and be with my friends at the same time?”

Gabriel looked at him silently again.

“And I promise to give my all in my photoshoots, of course!” Felix added.

“I will think it over, son.” Gabriel said with restraint. “In the meantime, please go back to your schedule. I will not tolerate such a breach of discipline again.”

“Thank you father!” Felix exclaimed happily and threw himself on Gabriel’s neck.

The man hesitated for a moment, then hugged the boy back.

“I am a living person too, Adrien.” He said in a slightly softer voice. “Even if I don’t often show it.”

“I know, father.” Felix answered, pulling away. “Sometimes I start to forget about it.”

*

Felix left the office and went straight to the front door.

“What was this all about?” Ladybug asked, catching up with him. “Did you really try to make Adrien’s life better?”

“Not exactly.” Felix replied as he left the house.

“What was it then for?” The heroine insisted.

Felix walked in silence until he was outside the fence of the Agreste mansion. Turning the nearest corner, he opened his hand and showed her the two brooches on his palm.

“Now let’s get out of here and get that akuma.” He said, smirking at Ladybug’s stunned expression. “Before he realised it was me.”

*

“Now what?” Felix asked when they were standing in his room at his mother’s house.

“You attach them to yourself as you did before with fake ones and ask the kwamies the transformation words, I think.” Ladybug suggested.

Felix attached the brouches to his jacket.

“What are the kwa...” His eyes widened as two small creatures flew in the air in front of the boy.

“Good afternoon, master! My name is Nooroo, I am the kwami of transmission.” The little butterfly said.

“I am Duusu, the kwami of Emotion.” The little peacock bowed. “Will you bring us to the Guardian, master?”

Felix blinked at the unexpected guests, then looked at Ladybug.

“I think your Guardian is not available at the moment.” He informed the creatures that couldn’t see the heroine in the room. “So it’s your doing, right?” Felix guessed, turning to the butterfly creature. “The Akumas and all the troubles that come with them.”

“I’m afraid so.” Nooroo sighed. “My previous master had good intentions at the beginning, but his devotion to the purpose for which he used me made him go beyond the use of miraculous for good.”

“And what was that purpose, if I may ask?” Felix raised his eyebrows curiously.

“Love, of course!” Nooroo replied without hesitation. “Isn’t that what drives people to make the most controversial decisions of their lives?”

“That is true! That’s exactly what drives them!” Duusu supported. “I would know!”

Felix was blinking at them for a few moments, slightly dumbfounded by the little wise creatures floating in the air next to him.

“So, uhh… How do I reverse Akuma’s doings without Ladybug’s powers?” He asked.

“You have to say ‘Nooroo dark wings rise’ and then contact Akuma through the mental link and command them to undo their influence.” The butterfly explained.

Felix did as he was told and saw one of the streets of Paris, where Akuma was now, through their eyes.

“Why are you splitting people in two?” Felix demanded.

“I want to free them from the ghosts of the past that prevent people from living their lives!” Akuma spoke in response, feeling his presence.

“So that is why they act as if the other part of them never existed?” He clarified, looking at Ladybug, who couldn’t hear Akuma’s words and therefore was staring at him, frowning.

“Yes.” Akuma confirmed. “They are free for their future, away from the old boundaries that kept them from being truly alive.”

“OK OK. I get the idea.” Felix said. “But people must be able to do it by themselves, and not being forced to it.” He reasoned. “I command you to reverse your actions!”

Ladybug vanished into thin air before him and Felix stared in worry around his empty room with only Duusu watching back at him from a book shell.

“Hey! What did you do to her?!” Felix demanded, returning his attention to Akuma again.

“I released them all to their past.” The voice in his perception replied.

“So she’s fine?” Felix clarified, still worried about his annoying companion of this long day. “Back to normal?”

“If you call it normal…” Akuma sighed.

“Good.” Felix said. “I will release you now.” He felt the loss of connection and sighed. This job was interesting, but rather tiring for the first time. “Dark wings fall.”

The boy collapsed onto the couch, slightly shocked. He wasn’t even sure his plan would work, and definitely didn’t expect to meet those amazing creatures.

Few months ago Felix would probably play all this situation differently. But living in Paris, being close to this kind beautiful girl, even while watching her from his place behind her in class, changed him.

Even only knowing Marinette made him softer, awakened something good in him, made him better almost against his will.

Too bad Marinette would never notice this, Felix thought. And what was it all about when she tried asking Adrien to talk to him? She was probably doing her job as a class rep, he figured.

“Do you have any fruit, master?” Nooroo asked, looking as haggard as Felix felt. “I lost the habit of working with young masters and slightly weakened, restraining my strength.”

“Oh, sorry!” Felix exclaimed, jumping at his feet. “I’m new at this! What would you like to eat?” He asked, already running towards the kitchen.

When Felix was back in his room with a big plate of fruits, which was attacked by both happy kwamies, he heard a slight knock at the window.

The boy turned around to see a huge blue Ladybug’s eyes blinking at him through the glass.

“Took you long enough.” He smirked, opening the window for the heroine.

She seemed still a little shocked and looked at him very… impressed?

“You’re gonna take them away, aren’t you?” He asks sadly, nodding to the kwamies, while Ladybug was still looking for something to say. “I mean, of course you will. I just... It’s not like I need those powers... But I didn’t expect that there were those creatures.” Felix admitted. “Do you have one too?”

Ladybug slightly relaxed and finally smiled at him.

“I do.” She confirmed. “She is very kind and friendly. I hope you’ll meet her once.”

“Right.” Felix replied, grimacing skeptically “As if you’d risk your identity to let me see your qwami.”

“It depends.” Ladybug smirked.

“Really?” Felix raised his eyebrows. “On what?”

Ladybug made a step to him and took Felix by the hand. This time he felt her warm — even through her glow — touch.

Felix frowned, not sure why the heroine showed him so much warmth and was just thinking how to politely send her off when Ladybug raised on her toes and leaned to him for a kiss.

Felix jumped away with shocked eyes.

“Listen, Ladybug, I know that I tried to kiss you once, but it was before…” Felix thought that in this case it was better to make things as clear as possible. “Before I met Marinette. You were right, ok? I like her! So, sorry if I somehow made you think that you and I could…”

“She likes you too.” Ladybug interrupted, for some reason not bothered by his rejection at all.

“She... what?” Felis narrowed his eyes on her. “How would you know?”

“It’s a long story.” The heroine smirked, then her face became serious and she swallowed. “But it can also be said in three words.”

Felix’s eyes widened again and he opened his mouth to protest, thinking that in some crazy way Ladybug was in love with him and was gonna confess despite the fact that he just admitted having feelings for Marinette.”

“Tikki, spots off.” Ladybug said before he could protest, and to Felix’s other surprise transformed into Marinette.

“I think today you proved to be more than just a person who knows how to keep a secret.” Marinette said softly. “You saved me. The whole city actually.”

Felix was staring at the girl blinking for a while while his memories of the day spent with a superheroine ran through his mind.

That was why Ladybug sat in their class, — she was staying close to her original body, the boy thought, Marinette… who was drowning his portraits all the morning…

“Why only I could see you?” Felix asked slowly.

Marinette blushed, but made a step to him and took him by the hand again, and this time Felix didn’t have any intention to reject the girl in front of him, as his heart ran faster in his chest.

“Because you — are what I was ready to part with the past for.” Marinette confessed, raising to him her huge blue eyes, the closeness of which took Felix’s breath away.

“Are you saying that you…” He started, not believing his luck.

“I’m saying that I’m in love with you, Felix.” Marinette said, confirming what he did not even dare to think.

This time Felix leaned himself for her kiss, so desired, and seemed so impossible this morning.

Marinette readily returned his kiss, leaning closer and wrapping her arms around his neck.

It turned out that to make his dream come true, Felix only had to spend a day trapped in between. In between two sides of the one girl that he loved.
