Zelda at six years of age was playing in the garden with one of hyrules newly discovered guardians. The guardian was a small scout that was designed to keep the princess of hyrule entertained. The scout was named rustl and zelda loved him. They were playing together in the garden, building fairy houses and playing hide and go seek.
Everything was perfect for the royal family of hyrule, the land was at peace, no looming threat of a great prophesied evil. Although no one could have see what would happen next.
The guardian scout was designed to protect zelda in case of a emergency. And was also programmed to bring her into the castle. In order for the scout to identify someone as a non-threat, you had to register yourself.
It was getting dark and the guardian was far out with zelda and making haste coming back. But the queen of hyrule also known as zeldas mother. Was on her way to find zelda. Rustl didn’t have the queen in his files and saw her running twards zelda. The royal guards realized what was going to happen and ran after her.
They were all too late
Infront of zelda the scout launched a powerful laser directly at the queens face. The beam hit and a lethal beam spread through her body causing her to die.
The king of hyrule was devistated at the death of his wife. So was zelda. Rustl was killed and buried away.
The damage had already been done though. The entire kingdom was sad and they held a massive funeral.
This was a painful memory that returned over and over as zelda was waiting for link to reach hyrule castle.
