Disappointment, sadness, are the feelings Chris has felt since she saw Jim Street accept the flight attendant's invitation. A whirlwind of thoughts and sensation invades her entire body and her mind. On autopilot she completes all her duties at the headquarters in absolute silence, without participating in conversations with her other colleagues.
In the locker room, she finds Tan and Deac talking, and as soon as they see her, they stop.
“Chris, are you all right? You have been on the sidelines since we returned from the airport. "Deac asks
"Yes Deac, don't worry, I just have a little headache and tiredness. A nice sleep in my comfortable bed and everything passes. " She tries to calm the concern of her friends with her, but in vain.
Tan takes courage and speaks “Chris, even if you try not to talk to us, we are not blind, we have felt your concern for Street today. I want to tell you that we do not judge you and we never will. "
Chris is impassive in her locker, tears in her eyes. She thinks about how she could have let go this morning, and made her feelings for Street clear to her friends and colleagues.
"I don't know what you're talking about Tan" she still tries to pretend he doesn't know.
“Come on Chris! Your eyes spoke for you! " Deac tells her, raising his voice a little
“It's none of your business! Fuck everyone! " she slams the locker door and exits the General Quatier

Meanwhile, Street is in a small club with Katie, the flight attendant.
"Why are you so quiet now?" Katie asks
"Nothing" replies Street shrugging "it's just that my thoughts have been spinning around since this morning"
"Do you think about her?" she asks him bluntly "you know, if your feelings for her are really strong, why are you here with me instead of letting her know?"
“Do you think she hasn't tried it a million times? But apparently the work is more important than me, or at least her feelings aren't as strong as mine "
"Or, it might just be that she needs help figuring out what she's missing," Katie continues
"I don't think Christiana Alonso is a jealous person" he stops her
"Don't be sure, a woman in love is capable of anything when she is about to lose the man she loves" she reassures him "word of a super jealous woman"

CHRIS'S APARTMENT
Chris just got into her joggers and tank top for running, when her phone rings, it's Deacon, but she doesn't want to talk to anyone.
She puts on her headphones, plays her "romantic playlist," which includes Ed Sheran and Ellie Goulding, and goes to the park for a run.
After half an hour of intense running, she sits on a bench in the dark, and collapses into uncontrolled tears, with loud music in her ears.
Moments later, she feels a hand resting on her left shoulder. Without hesitation, Chris takes her service weapon, turns and points it at the person behind her.
"Around that I don't want to do anything to you!" Street screams
“My God Street! What are you doing here?" she asks as she tries to wipe away her tears to hide her desperation from Street's eyes.
What she doesn't know is that Street has been giving them more than 10 minutes and witnessed her tears fall!
"I can sit down?" he asks, pointing to her place next to her
Chris nods and makes space for him. She takes the earphone out of her right ear, and plays with it for anxiety.
"What are you listening to?" he asks her to ease the tension.
She doesn't answer, she can't compose a sentence because the tears threaten to fall.
"I can?" Street points to her headset. She hands it to him without hesitation.
Street wears the headset and Chris, without thinking, rests his head on his shoulder. They spend the next hour in that position without talking and moving, only treasuring each other's presence.
"I think it's time to tell the others that I found you" interrupts the silence Street
"What? Did Deacon call you too? " she angrily asks him about Deacon's intrusion
Street sighs before replying "actually, on my way over here, after I went to your apartment, he called me Deacon, then Tan and Hondo."
"God! They are more pushy than my Aunt Helena! What they want?" she asks irritably
“Just make sure you're okay,” he assures her, “but I think everyone has a very good understanding of what's going on between us. Haven't you read the group's messages? " he asks her
"no. I put the phone on silent, just wanted to relax, ”Chris answers as she takes the phone from her pocket.
She opens the group chat which now contains dozens of messages from her teammates

Hondo: Guys, did anyone hear Chris? She ran off the HQ without saying a word
Deac: Tan and I tried to talk to her, but she sent us to fuck :(
Luca: Guys, I don't know about you but I'm still shocked by Chris's behavior today! Has anyone talked to Street?

After reading the messages, Chris looks up from the phone and turns it to Street

Chris lowers his gaze, and becomes embittered "when I saw you accept the invitation, I thought I had lost you, that I had wasted all the chances of having you." The tears begin to fall again.
"Do you want to know what Katie and I talked about tonight?" Street asks
Chris looks at him surprised “Are you serious Jim? Do you want to kill me?"
Street smiles and rolls his eyes “are you serious when you think something has happened with Katie? If so, I am seriously offended that you consider me a womanizer! "
It's Chris's turn to roll her eyes.
Street clears his throat before speaking “I want to confess that after I fully understand the feelings I have for you, and after being done with Molly, I have not had any relationship, I have not been with any woman! You are the only woman I would like to be with now and always! "
Street's confession is interrupted by the ringing of Street's phone, it's Hondo.
"Hondo," Street replies "she's with me, and I still think it's best we see you tomorrow."
Chris gestures for Street to hand his the phone. "Wait, Chris wants to talk to you," Street tells Hondo
“Hey Hondo, sorry for everything, and please tell the guys too, I didn't mean to treat them badly, but you know how impulsive I am. "Chris takes a deep breath and continues" What do you say if you give us another 10 minutes, and in the meantime you settle down in my apartment, take what you want. Deacon has the keys. We are not very far away, but we need to be alone a little longer. I promise you that as soon as we have clarified we will go up. Ok? "
“Okay Chris, we are waiting for you here. And Chris, know that you don't have to apologize for anything, actually we should do it for not being close to you, ”Hondo concludes before hanging up.
After the call, Chris returns the phone to Street and looks him in the eye "I want to be honest with you" silence "the truth is that, for a long time I have been blocked, I am afraid, and it is no longer a question of work, of losing my job to Swat. Who cares about work, if in reality I'm not happy. " Again silence "the problem is how I feel for you Jim, God only knows how terrifying the feelings I have for you."
Street takes her hands "Chris, I'm scared too, it's a new thing for me too"
"Let me finish Jim, please!" she begs him with shining eyes "I'm afraid that being really happy with you may one day end. There are many variables, our work, our characters, whatever can come between us, and all this can be over in a second. "
"Chris, we won't allow it!"
"You can't know Jim!" Chris screams and stands up and puts his hands in his hair “I would like to scream to the world how much I LOVE YOU JIM! And today I wanted to beat that woman up when she looked at you with those puppy eyes. But then I freeze and think that she is not worthy to receive your love. "
Street realizes that Chris needs a boost, of certainty, her thoughts spiraling through her mind now need to be stopped. She decides in a second to take command of the situation, and make her understand with her facts what she has always said and reiterated in recent months.
Without warning, Street cupps Chris's face and kisses her. A kiss that leaves no doubt, no free interpretation, if not that of pure and unconditional love.
They both catch their breath, and Street takes the opportunity to ease the tension "now that I have stopped your thoughts, and that I think I have made it clear that you are my only choice, and that I have no intention of giving up on you, we can reach the boys, or do you prefer that they find us here? "

He puts his hand around her waist and they make their way to Chris's mansion.

Chris sits on the sofa between Tan and Street, and the latter takes her hand. By implication, they both know that it is no longer necessary to hide from the eyes of their mates.
