Chapter Text
Black Rose Cookie was walking alone in a treacherous, dark forest. They were shivering from the creepiness of the woods, as well as the fact that it reminded them of their home.
“Ack, lost again.” Black Rose said out loud. “Petal Ghoul, did you find a way out yet?” they said, turning to their faithful flower.
She only shook her head, and made a gesture saying that she only knew as much as them. Black Rose sighed before speaking again. “Well, at least we haven’t encountered any threats yet.”
A voice suddenly interrupted them. “Master, there you are!” As if Black Rose jinxed it, two beings approached them, a werehound and a skull bat. This made Black Rose jump, and Petal Ghoul put on a fierce face, ready to attack.
“We look everywhere for you!” Choco Werehound Brute said.
“Yeah, meow just charged on ahead for no rrreason!” Bat-Cat agreed. “So, what did meow say our next step was?”
“Wha-?” Black Rose looked ever-so confused. “I think you have the wrong cookie, I’m not your boss.”
“Yeah, yeah, we fell for that before.” Choco Werehound rolled his eyes. “Why that ghost with you?”
Petal Ghoul looked at them, annoyed. Black Rose then tried to reinforce their statement. “No, really, I don’t know who you two are! And that’s my pet, Petal Ghoul!”
Bat-Cat just squinted its eyes at the cookie. “Did meow just come all the way here just to put on a new outfit?”
Black Rose was also getting somewhat irritated. “I said I’m not-!”
“What are you two doing?!” a voice yelled. Black Rose witnessed a reaper holding a scythe, freaking out and almost passing out as well.
“GAH! I KNEW THE GRIM REAPER WOULD COME FOR ME PERSONALLY!” Black Rose shouted. Petal Ghoul just looked at her master, and bopped them in the head to clear their mind. “Ow!”
“B-Boss?! There’s two of you?!” Choco Werehound Brute said.
“Did meow learn a cloning spell?!” Bat-Cat followed.
“WHAT? No! What are you talking about?!” Licorice Cookie said, before seeing Black Rose Cookie trembling in fear. “You think that THIS cookie is me?!”
Bat-Cat looked at Licorice and Black Rose repeatedly. “Yeah-”
Licorice pinched his nose. “No! He looks-”
“Uh, they…” Black Rose corrected.
“THEY look nothing like me!” Licorice clarified. “They don’t have my eye color or my robes! I mean, yeah, we have the same dough color, close hair color, style choice, maybe a similar voice and…”
Licorice squinted back at Black Rose for a moment. “Hey, do we know each other?”
Black Rose had no idea who this cookie was, but was at least relieved he wasn’t taking his soul. “Um, no sir.”
“Really? Because I SWEAR you look a teensy bit familiar.” Licorice asked.
“No…”
“Oh, whatever, I don’t have any business with you! I’m here to find Poison Mushroom Cookie, they got lost again! Have you seen a purple mushroom anywhere?”
“I have not.”
“Gah, let’s just go! Bat-Cat! Schwarzwälder! Come on!” Licorice waved at them to follow.
“Stop calling me that…!” Choco Werehound Brute begrudgingly walked to him.
Bat-Cat just gave one last look at Black Rose Cookie, skeptical, before flying to Licorice Cookie.
“That was strange…” Black Rose told Petal Ghoul. “We kind of do have a lot in common. I wonder if I’ll see him again?”
Petal Ghoul seemed like they didn’t want to ever see that cookie or his lackeys again, looking irritated by their voices.
