Chapter Text
"This is the place," Yin thought while wincing, due to the noise level within the massive pizzaplex. "You're in. Now to the Daycare area, peek in, and leave unnoticed. Easy, right?"
Dodging running children, accepting a map from a bot, and tugging her hood to avoid eye contact, with any of the popular animatronics passing by, she makes it to the Daycare entrance.
"Phew. Made it," the young woman sighs as she silently enters the Daycare and looks around."Where is-Ah! There she is!"
Yin smiles softly as she spots a floral, seven foot tall, animatronic, entertaining a group of wheelchair bound children. Not wanting to bother the said animatronic, she turns around to leave only to be startled by the main Daycare Attendant animatronic: Sun. The ten foot tall animatronic caught her before she hit the puzzle-foamed ground.
"Hello, New friend!" He greets cheerily as he helps Yin steady on her feet. "Are you looking for someone or perhaps lost?"
"No…" Yin mumbles while fiddling with the hem of her hoodie sleeve. "Just taking a quick… peek."
Taking no notice of the young woman's uneasiness, Sun rambles on while bouncing back and forth on his feet. A few minutes later, Yin felt a gentle tug on her pant leg and looked down only to smile and get down on one knee.
"Oh hello, Tim!" Yin smiles softly at the prosthetic-legged toddler. "Having fun with your friends?"
"Yes!" He giggles. "Work here too, Miss Ying?"
"No I don't, Kiddo," Yin laughs. Her timid nature is non-existent around children. "I just came for a brief visit. Why don't you go play with your friends?"
Once Yin pats Tim's head and stands up, the little boy grabs her hand and pulls her over to the large group of Special Needs/Handicapped children.
"Everyone! This is Miss Ying. She's the kind lady from the store I told you about," the toddler grins while clinging to Yin's leg.
"Hi, kids. I am Yin. Are you all having fun?" She asks.
"Yes!" All the children reply in uision.
"That's good," Yin smiles. "What are you playing?"
"Save the Prince!" A little girl exclaims.
"Oh? From who, Tina?" Yin coos while recognizing the six year old with Heterochromia eyes.
"The evil king. Can you help us save him?" Tina asks hopeful.
"Your wish is my command, Princess Tina~" Yin kneels. "Shall I go alone or gather an army?"
"Go alone and prove you are worthy to be in my kingdom, Sir Knight!" The child demands giggling.
Standing up, Yin scans the Daycare only to stop when she sees the floral animatronic from before and a ten year old boy, in a wheelchair, on top of a castle shaped, wheelchair accessible, playset. Grabbing a foam sword, she 'traveled' over to the castle as the children watched in excitement and anticipation. She stops in front of the playset.
"Evil King!" She announced. "It is I, Sir Knight Yin. I have come to save the Prince from your evil clutches."
"Hm?~" The floral animatronic snickers. "The Princess sent you? How pitiful~"
At this point all the Daycare children are watching silently along with the adults who came to pick up their kids.
"You shall not doubt thee," Yin smirks as a few children snuck up behind the animatronic. "How about a trade: Me for the Prince?"
"Very tempting~" She pretends to think.
"The Prince belongs with his beloved family," the young woman reasons while dropping her 'sword'. "I do not wish to fight thou."
The floral animatronic nods in agreement as a few of the children 'tie her up' and Yin brings the 'Prince' to his family. After a few minutes of silence, the audience cheers and applauds while both animatronic and human bow. Once all the children leave, Yin stretches.
"Had fun, Creator?" The floral animatronic asks which startles Yin.
"Yes I did," she admits. "I've always had a love for kids. I'm glad to see that they took to you quite well, Zera."
"What a spectacular show you put on, Miss Lin!" A stout man in a fancy suite compliments as he walks over. "I'm glad you came today. I was hoping to have a chat with you."
Turning around to face the man, Yin is confused. "Who…?"
"Marsh at your service," he introduces himself in a polite manner. "Mr. Fazbear wanted to meet you himself, but he is a busy man."
"Me-meet me?" Yin mutters confused and once again shy.
"Of course!" Marsh grins. "Your design and notes for it,I mean, Zera, is phenomenal. It's been a long time since the franchise had such amazing talent and artistic skill."
Yin raised an eyebrow yet kept quiet knowing there's more.
"Don't give me that look," the stout man tugs at his shirt collar, sweating slightly. "As you can see, your other design wasn't fully approved…"
The young woman crosses her arms while giving Marsh a displeased look.
"Stop beating around the bush, " Yin hisses. Shyness now is irritation.
"Well…" Marsh gulps. "Fazbear Entertainment would like to hire you as Zera's nocturnal counterpart and as a Security Guard…"
Yin pinched the bridge of her nose and let out an agitated sigh. Feeling a reassuring squeeze on her shoulder, she looks, from the corner of her eye, at the floral animatronic. Zera looks in understanding and encouragement.
"Payment won't be an issue!" Marsh quickly adds before Yin can say anything. "Fifty dollars an hour along with full time."
"Okay?" Yin calms down now confused by the rushed offer. "Even if I say yes, what about my current job? Knowing Fazbear's history, it's easy work and I don't have to worry about anything."
"I'm impressed," Marsh compliments. "You truly are more than just looks. You are correct. In fact, think of tonight as a trial before making your final decision."
Before Yin can respond, the stout man gives her a business card with his information, wishes her good luck, and leaves.
