He knows they'll always be brothers but as Denahi watches his brother's face change into that of a bear he finds he misses him already. Tanana tells him later that the best changes in life are always like that -- sweet and bitter, sad and wonderful.
Many years later, halfway across the world, a woman in France comes to the same conclusion as she watches her Beast melt away into a prince she does not know. She looks into his bright blue eyes, though, and realizes that though the familiar face is gone, her Beast has not left her after all.
