Days after the incident: 2:30am
A scream rang out in the octopod, the person jolted up hugging their blanket like a life line, their breathing quick and panicky, after realizing what happened, they froze as they heard someone coming down the ladder to the launch bay
"Tweak? You alright matey?" She heard the voice say 'oh.. it's just Kwazii, ok.. ok good' she thought, she saw Kwazii peek into her room "can I come in tweak?" He asked gently, she just heavily sighed nodding as Her friend hopped in her room and sat on the floor, back against her bed frame
Silence
Kwazii knew why Tweak had screamed, Tweak knew Kwazii knew, they both had been having reoccurring nightmares since the night at in the repair station, no one knew, and they planned on keeping it that way
"Video games?" Kwazii asked handing her the video game controller. she smiled and took it from him "You know I'd win" she teased "Aye aye I'll win one of these days, just watch me" he responded with a smirk. This will be a fun night.
8:48am
When tweak looked over at the clock, she expected it to be around 5:30 maybe 6am, but when she saw it was 8:48am she almost dropped her remote 'oh we are screwed'
"AHA! Ive Finally beaten yo-" his excitement in his face, gone in an instance when he saw where Tweak was looking "we, did not sleep at all, did we?" She asked chuckling seemly talking to herself, but Kwazii responded anyway "How in the seven seas will we explain this" he pointed at each other's eye bags, bruised from lack of proper sleep "Well, I-" Tweak was interrupted by the sound of the Octo-Alert, at which they both groaned at "are ye pulling me whiskers?" He said hopping up to get to the HQ, tweak treading behind him
"Octonauts! W-" he paused looking around "wait where are Tweak and Kwazii?" Captain Barnacles asked his crew, 'I don't know' and 'haven't seen them' rolled across the rooms. Suddenly Kwazii and Tweak popped out of the octo shoot, one soaking wet.
Tweak quickly walked to her spot in line "sorry capt' someone-" she playfully glared at Kwazii, who just rolled his eyes and chuckled "- decided to take a swim this morning in the launch bay" They entire crew looked over at Kwazii and laughed.
the captain finished explaining what was happening, Peso's eyes lingered on the two, noticing the bruised eye bags under both of their eyes, he decided to bring it up to them later "Shellington and Peso, your with me in the gup A" Peso sighed 'there goes my chance to speak with them today' he'll ask later "the rest of you, stay here, we might need you later" he finished "Octonauts, let's do this"
They raced down to the launch bay where the gup was waiting for them "open the Octo-Hatch Tweak" said Captain Barnacles as he shut the windshield "aye aye captain" she said pulling the lever, she watched them go out the octopod, she sighed as she closed it back up (she seems to be sighing a lot today)
Kwazii watched everyone go to do their own thing, inkling headed towards his library, Dashi went to the weather tracker and tweak went down to the Lauch bay, Tunip and his little pals went to probably the kitchen (he could really use some kelp cakes right about now) so he decided to head down to the launch bay
Tweak decided to do some work on the gups, maybe that would keep her mind off what happened, she coughed a bit then went back to work "what if i.." she muttered to herself "oo that could work" she grabbed her wrench and went to the gup x she heard someone come down the ladder and looked over to see Kwazii watching her like a Hawk
"Creepy much?" She chucked a carrot at her brother, well not really her brother, but they call each other that anyways "Aye aye i just came to see what ye was doing down here" He said biting into the carrot "oh just adding a few adjustments to the Gup X" she said with a sparkle in her eye, she loved talking about the gups, it was probably the one thing she was proud of (other then the crew)
"Tell me about it" He asked sitting at the edge of the water, fidgeting with his tail, looking genuinely interested, Tweak paused the giggled "yes of course i will!" She said excitedly "so we know how the bike at the end of the gup runs out of power really fast?" Kwazii nodded "yeah especially when you try to go as fast as the gup B"
"Well I was thinking-" she continued, but was interrupted by Dashi coming over the radio "attention all Octonauts" The siblings turned to look at the screen "my sensors are telling me we are about to get some big tremors right under the octopod, C-" suddenly Tweak and Kwazii weren't in the Octopod anymore, no they were in the repair station, watching it get filled with water,
they ran threw the corridors "Come on we have to go" Kwazii held on to Tweak's hands "I know" she spotted a room that had yet to fill with water "that way!" She yelled they ran over the falling objects jumping and twisting everywhere another scream rang out, Kwazii turned behind and saw tweak stuck "come on matey," he said trying to left the metal "Kwazii hurry!" She cried
He looked both ways, the water was coming fast he tried with all his might, screaming as he picked it up while his sister quickly swam out, they ran to the door and quickly shut it closed, the pair stood there, shocked "I cant believe we made that" Tweak said gasping for air "aye finally dry land" Kwazii responded they went to the control panel and tried to call for help, it was broken "hold on, I can fix this" she said.
Kwazii started to smell something "H-hey tweak, do you smell that?" He asked and he began to cough "Kwazii not now, I'm trying to-" she didn't get to finish, as she heard Kwazii yell "SHIVER ME WHISKERS THERES A FIRE" They looked up and saw the dancing red and orange flames taunting them "oh me oh my" she mumbled "Over there Tweak! look, there be a exit" suddenly the fire began to spread down "wake up" they heard "did that fire just say something?" Kwazii asked, Tweak and Kwazii locked eyes "you heard it to?" She asked suddenly tweak felt like she was moving farther and farther away from him
"STOP STOP STOP" she yelled thrashing away from whatever was pulling her and she ran back to Kwazii and hugged him "Tweak I want to leave" he mumbled into her shoulder all she could do was hold on tighter "Me to" she said
They both gasped as they found themselves back no longer in the wretched repair station holding each other on the floor just like in that nightmare flashback lots of people she couldn't quite recognize surrounded them tweak held onto her little brother tighter 'there's to many people, to many' she thought rocking back and forth she couldn't breathe she had to be strong for Kwazii, she looked down at him, who had his eyes shut tight holding onto tweak like a life line,
she looked back up and noticed now only Two people were in the room "w-where are we, what h-happened" she asked looking at them both trembling she looked around and noticed a clock on the wall '12pm??' She thought, wasn't it just hitting nine in the morning? "Your in the Octopod,in the sick bay, with me; peso and the captain. How are you feeling tweak?" Peso asked gently. Tweak froze, how was she supposed to answer that? She looked down at Kwazii who looked like he was sleeping, but she knew he wasn't, when he sleeps his ears slightly twitch every 3 minutes they haven't twitched at all.
All she did was look back at peso "I'm fine" she muttered then she started coughing again 'stupid cough' "how long have you both been coughing?" This time it was the captain how long had it been since the incident? She doesn't recall "someone tell me, what happened" she decided to say, she didn't feel like talking, The other 2 people in the room looked at each other and sat on the ground Infront of her "well.."
"my sensors are telling me we are about to get some big tremors right under the octopod, Captain it would be best if you guys head back until this thing passes" Dashi says "copy Dashi, the gup A is heading back, Tweak can you make sure the octo-hatch is open?"
Silence
"Tweak? Hello? Come in tweak for you copy?"
Nothing
"Can anyone else hear me?" The captain asked
"I can hear you just fine Captain" dashi replied
"yeah me to" said inkling
"cheepa cheppa" Tunip remarked
"Kwazii?" "..."
"Someone find Kwazii and Tweak, Me, Peso and Shellington are on our way back"
"Aye Aye Captain"
So everyone went out to search for them, they then heard someone screaming "was that tweak? Dashi asked frightened "I believe it was coming from the launch bay" inking commented they raced down to the Lauch bay where they found Tweak and Kwazii huddled close together tears in both of their fear looking eyes, seemingly not there, like their mind was somewhere else, so Inkling radioed the captain "captain we found them, they were in the launch bay, but.." another scream rang out, this time from Kwazii
"jumping jellyfish was that Kwazii??" Shellington asked, making himself known "what happened" asked peso looking at the two on the ground "we don't know, we came down here, when we heard tweak scream" Dashi responded "Dashi open the octo-hatch, we are coming in" the captain commanded "yes sir" she replied pulling the lever
The Gup A emerged from the water and the three quickly got out "they seem to be in a flashback, from what?" Shellington observed, as Kwazii started to cough "what happened before you heard the screaming?" Peso asked going closer to the Tweak and Kwazii "I was telling everyone about the tremor that's supposed to happen soon" dashi claimed
"Wake up you guys.." peso whispered to them clapping his hands in front of them "let's move them to the sick bay, peso concluded looking at Captain Barnacles "alright peso" he said as he picked tweak up and started to head to the sick bay,
Suddenly Tweak started kicking and thrashing around "STOP STOP STOP" she yelled making the captain drop her by surprise and she ran back to Kwazii hugging him tightly as they mumbled something to each other
The others watched in silence, they had never seen something like this happened before "lets take them both at once, i don't think they want to be apart.." peso said
"Then you said there was to many people, so I made everyone get out except me and The captain" Peso finally finished
"The tremor" she mumbled this made both the medic and captain confused "what do you mean Tweak?"
"Did it happen? T-the t-tremor I mean.." she said a bit louder. Peso had a look of realization on his face "it was those that triggered you both, wasn't it?" Tweak hesitantly nodded "really? Those never seemed to bother you before the ri..." the captain slowly came to realization "..um.." she looked back at kwazii, "nothing it's fin-" she started coughing a lot, so much she started to see some red in her elbow, she winced and Kwazii looked up at her "are you ok tweak??" He asked quickly looking at her arm "Your bleeding, where is Peso, yo-" he started coughing violently too "Kwazii slow down, you both seem sick, how about you guys move to a bed to Peso can check you guys out" The captain said gently patting Kwaziis back.
He looked at tweak with fright, "they know, Kwazii" She said in between coughs, "not everything, but they know" Kwazii sighed before coughing again
Tweak looked over at the clock 12:49pm
God this will be a long day..
