Dragons. Dragons are the most majestic creatures of this planet. They live in groups and try to take care of humanity whenever they need to.
In earlier centuries, the dragon was worshipped. Many people loved them and brought offers to the great dragons. It was the dragons that provided the first sun rays, the first plants and the first drop of rain.
Now, Dragons are known for being like a beast, with sharp talons, flesh-ripping fangs and their powers. Powers of dragons vary from dragon to dragon. Red dragons are more known for their fire, while the blue dragons are for water.
There is on dragon on this earth, that might just be the most powerful dragon on this planet. Legend had told us that this dragon’s skin would be pale as snow, as shiny as fresh-fallen snow, and their powers would be out of this world. Anyone who would search for the dragon, would never be able to find him. It was only dragons themselves that would find the Pale Dragon.
But… time passed. Years flew by, and instead of worshipping the great dragons, people started their hatred for dragons. Just because one dragon started it all, all humanity had turned against the dragons.
Now they live in fear, hidden in their human form, concealed for humanity.
It is rare nowadays that dragons live in groups. They are so easy to find and it’s hard to hide themselves. “It’s a death wish!” All dragons whisper. “Only the Pale Dragon could save us now…”
Even though years has passed since the legend of the Pale Dragon, no sights of him where detected. Instead of the Pale Dragon, a much darker dragon had appeared. The Black Dragon, as the humans called him, had the most dangerous fire any dragon had ever had. With his black fire, he terrorized the humanity, trying to find the Pale Dragon. And kill it.
-
In a large, crowded city, walked a dragon. But the humans didn’t know, obviously. How could they know there was a dragon in their midst when he had concealed himself as a human. It was a pretty good cover up too. He wore the uniform of a guard. He’d been wearing this for weeks, because of his plan. He had to know the lay out of the city and this castle, otherwise he couldn’t activate his plan.
The dragon had black, curly hair, that reached his shoulders, but was now pulled back in a bun. His eyes were brown, so dark that it was almost black. He was tall, broad and had quite strongly build - a real guard which you shouldn’t mess with.
With a stern eye he looked upon the civilians, which they thought was just the eye of a guard, but it was pure hatred.
Oh… if only these people knew what would come to them…
The dragon called Jungkook, walked among the streets. Together with another guard, they made their way back to the castle, with the orders of the king.
The king… Jungkook could scoff. The murderer, he would call it.
The two walked into the castle and went to the throne room. Many other guards were already there, bowing down to their king. Even though he was the one who most hated the king, Jungkook still bowed down for him. He had to keep his cover.
‘Everyone’ the king started. ‘I have been contacted that there is a dragon in my kingdom.’ Jungkook clenched his jaw. Fuck. ‘I want you guys to find them! Who knows how many of those monsters are walking around in my kingdom. I want all my troops to control everyone! You know how to do it!’
Jungkook sure knew how to check people. Have a torch in hand and burn a hand of a civilian. Is there a burn? Then they are no dragon. Is there no burn? Then they are a dragon. Dragons are fire resistant for the most part. Only the fire of a dragon can burn them.
For a second check, you hold another torch with blue fire close to them. If this person looks into the fire and they are a dragon, their eyes will change to their dragon eyes.
Jungkook hated these tests. One mistake and he’ll be caught.
‘I want troupes one and two to be guarding the castle and kingdom. The others will be doing the tasks!’
Great. Jungkook was troupe one. He will not be doing the tasks. He smirked. It was finally time.
Jungkook listened absentmindedly to the talk as he thought about his revenge. It would take place tonight.
When the guards were let back, Jungkook’s team went to guard the castle. Just before they would start, he slipped into his room. He looked at the letter he had made a week before, to send it whenever it was ready.
‘Hyung, it is time.
I’m going to do it tonight.
The others guards are in the city looking for “monsters”. Us. They are looking for dragons, Hyung. We are no monsters. It are they who are the monsters.
I’m going to the dungeons and destroy the place from within. The king will be dead because of the impact and I will flee. They won’t ever know that something happened. I’ll be back next week.
Be safe.’
Jungkook rolled up the letter and secured it with a rope. He walked to the window, where a post owl waited for him. Jungkook gave the owl the letter. He gave the owl a scratch on the head.
‘Take the letter to Namjoon.’, Jungkook whispered. ‘And nobody else.’
The owl squeaked, spread his wings and quickly flew away. Jungkook looked after the owl, until it was just a little dot in the large blue sky.
When Jungkook walked out of his room, he quickly joined part of his team that was walked through the corridors. He didn’t really care about his duties, he needed to get to the dungeons now.
Jungkook walked mindlessly through the castle as guard, letting the others lead him the way. While he was walking, he thought about his plan.
He would turn into a dragon and slam all the pillars down, making the castle collapse and killing everyone within; even the king. They wouldn’t know what’s coming to them. To them Jungkook was nothing more than a faithful guard. But little did they know that he something they despised.
Night fell upon this kingdom quickly. And in the midst of the night, Jungkook stepped out of his room, to set his plan in action.
He walked silently through the hallway, speeding around corners and trying to avoid everyone that was in the hallways itself. When he opened the door to the dungeons, he made a face when he heard the noise getting off of it. Did it need to be so damn loud?! He closed it as soon as he got through, waiting a moment to listen to the footsteps echoing through the hallways. His heart sped up at the thought of his plan failing… The guards marched past the door, not having heard the footsteps of him. He sighed, leaning his head the door. He put his hand on his chest, taking a few deep breaths in and out. This was much more nerve wrecking then he had thought…
He tiptoed down the spiral stairs, down to the dungeons. He didn’t know the exact layout of the dungeons, so this part, would be tricky. When he reached the downstairs, he needed to look around the dungeons quick to find which pillars he could wreck the easiest. Jungkook ran around, a smirk appearing on his face. This would be easy. This would be very easy.
He turned a corner but then halted his steps. Three guards were standing by a large metal door, all heavily weaponed. Jungkook raised an eyebrow, looking at the guards. He could easily take them out, but what were they guarding that needed protection so bad? He never heard the king or any other guards talking about having a prisoner. It were the dungeons, so it would be weird to store some other things.
Jungkook shook his head. It wasn’t his business. He shouldn’t care. Another criminal on this world wouldn’t be so bad, if he broke down these floors, they would get free for sure. Well, if they survived the tons of heavy stones falling onto them. Jungkook rolled up his sleeves, walking back to see if there would any right place to shift.
Even as Jungkook walked around to find the right space to shift, his mind wandered to the guards that were standing there. He cursed his own curiosity right now.
“It’s not my business…” he said through gritted teeth. “Stop thinking about it!” He squeezed his hands together, sighing deeply. But what if there is someone there could help you…? Jungkook sighed loudly, running his hand through his hair. “For fucks sakes.”
Jungkook bit on his lip as he turned around and marched back to the metal door.
“Jeon Jungkook,” one of the guards called. “You’re not supposed to be down here, if you’re not stationed-“
Jungkook didn’t say anything as he snatched the sword out of his arms and stabbed him right in the throat. The two other guards yelped in shock, getting out their weapons. But Jungkook was way too fast, and soon their throats were slashed as well. Jungkook pulled a face when the guards fell down, his gowns covered in blood.
“I’m going to kill my curiosity one day…” he mumbled, throwing his sword down. He crouched down, searching the bodies to find any kind of key. He soon found a while a bunch of keys. He bit his bottom lip, cursing in his head and looking for the right key for this door.
“I hate you, I hate you, I hate you,” he continued as he turned the key in the lock. “It’s probably nothing interesting and you just fucked up and they’ll come and get you and“ Jungkook opened the door and stepped into the dungeon. Jungkook fell silent, his eyes wide and mouth agape.
In this huge, long and tall dungeon was someone. They were tied up by extremely long, thick chains around his wrists, ankles, middle, neck- they could never escape. Right in front of Jungkook, was a large dragon. It’s skin white as snow. Their eyes as blue as the brightest blue sky. Jungkook was standing eye in eye with the pale dragon.
----
Jungkook rushed to unlock the chains that kept the dragon in place. Jungkook’s heart was racing, his breath getting uneven as he was freeing the dragon. His mother had told him stories about him for years. If she was still alive, she wouldn’t believe what he was standing right in front of him if he told her. When he freed the last lock on his wrists, he took a few steps back to admire the dragon. He didn’t have a lot of time before the dragon started shrinking and changing into his human form. Within a few seconds, a man was sitting in front of Jungkook. He looked just like his dragon form. Instead of the skin, his hair was as pale as snow. The man still looked very pale, unhealthily pale even. He still had bright blue eyes, but there were enormous bags under his eyes. Scars were drawn over his skin, he was dangerously skinny, but all those details got hidden by the huge smile the man gave Jungkook.
“Hello,” said the man.
“Hello…” Jungkook whispered. He was a bit speechless, not sure what to say.
“Thank you for helping me,” the man mumbled. “I cannot remember I’ve talking to someone in a while.” He continued, scratching her head. “I can’t even remember the last time I saw my mom…”
“How- Why are you here?” Jungkook whispered. “You’re the pale dragon!” The man’s smile seemed to waver a little.
“Ehm- I- Yes, I suppose I am…” he mumbled. “I forgot about that for a while. Haha…” he laughed bitterly. “Uhm- I’ve heard that story before! Obviously… But I- I haven’t talked to a dragon in forever.” He wrung his hands, crackling his joints. “I’m sorry, what’s your name? I’m sorry that I didn’t ask before…”
“It’s Jungkook,” Jungkook told him. “What’s yours?”
“Taehyung,” the man smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Jungkook!” He stood up, legs a little wobbly, but he managed to remain his balance. “Thank you for saving me.”
“What will you do now?” Jungkook asked. “How are you planning to get out of the castle…?” Taehyung rubbed the back of his neck.
“I don’t know,” Taehyung mumbled. “I haven’t seen this kingdom in forever! It would be nice to take a walk.”
“Take a walk?” Jungkook asked, tilting his head. “The moment you will step out of the castle you’ll be caught again.” Taehyung’s eyes widened, his bright expression fading.
“Oh…” He fumbled with his fingers. “Oh- Then- Then I guess I’ll stay in this castle.” But Jungkook shook his head.
“No, No, no, no,” Jungkook said quickly. “I’m leaving this kingdom anyway. We- You- We should leave together?” Taehyung’s smile came back, looking at him with hopeful eyes.
“You mean that?!” Jungkook nodded. “Oh, yes, I’m glad. Please, take me with you Jungkook.” Jungkook walked back to the exit, with Taehyung following him suit. “Oh lord, what happened here?”
“I… have no idea…”
Jungkook didn’t know how his plan got ruined. Well, he did know how his plan got ruined, he just didn’t know HOW his plan got ruined. Because after a quick shop in the village, he had gotten Taehyung a new cloak and some warmer clothing. They had some eating supplies, and they were hundreds of meters away from the kingdom, and he didn’t know how he got convinced so quickly. He OFFERED even himself. Now he was listening to Taehyung talking about his wildest dreams he’d love to experience.
“I’ve never been in a real village before. Is it fun? I’ve heard there are a lot of people like tailors and mapmakers. Do you have any friends that are like that?”
“Not really.”
“What do your friends do then? Are they fun?”
“Lot’s of fun.”
“Then what do your friends do? Are they dragons too?”
“One of them is a dragon.” Jungkook explained, twirling an arrow in his hand. “His boyfriend is a witch, so he helps me a lot too.” Taehyung gasped in amazement, folding his hands together as he skipped next to Jungkook.
“A witch?! Woah- to have magical powers…” Jungkook frowned at him.
“You’re a dragon.”
“Indeed. Not a witch.” Taehyung smiled at him and continued their way through the forest. “Also, where are we going?”
“We are just creating some distance with the kingdom,” Jungkook told him. “After that we can turn and just fly to the village.”
“Oh…” Taehyung stopped in his steps, his wide blue eyes staring at Jungkook. “I’m afraid that I can’t turn…” Jungkook frowned at him, also stopping. Taehyung bit his lip, shamefully looking at the ground.
“Why can’t you? I know that you’re the pale dragon. It’s not like you have to hide it from me.” Jungkook shrugged.
“Others will know…” Taehyung whispered. “I could never reveal my identity. I cannot just change into a dragon. People will know. They will try to kill me.” Jungkook started at Taehyung for a few seconds.
“Guess that’s a fine point…” Jungkook admitted. “Then I will change into a dragon. You don’t seem that heavy.”
They walked further and further. When the village had disappeared behind the trees, Jungkook turned around to see if someone was close.
“I think this is safe enough.” Jungkook mumbled. “Would you mind, putting the bags on me? Like making sure nothing will fall off?”
“Of course!” Taehyung exclaimed. “Will it be long before we get there?”
“I think it will be a two-hour flight, I believe...” Jungkook answered, throwing the bags off his shoulder. “The flight will be over in like a second, It’s really fast.” Taehyung stared with wide eyes at Jungkook as he casually started removing his upper clothing. Taehyung obviously knew that this was easier before his clothing ripped, but oh shit- Taehyung understood why this man had been chosen to fight for the king. He understood easily. Jungkook’s defined muscles almost shimmered in the light. He had turned a bit clammy on their way there, so this was even a better look for Taehyung. Taehyung had gripped the sleeves of his cloak tightly, not even thinking about looking away from this man.
Jungkook had finally noticed that Taehyung was looking at him when he’d thrown his undershirt down. And immediately, Jungkook flushed red. He had never seen a man look at him that way when he was practically half naked. Not that any man had ever seen him half naked- but the fact that it was happening now… made him feel a little nervous. A smile crept up Taehyung’s face.
“Well?” he teased. “Go on then.” Jungkook choked on his own spit and coughed.
“Could you- Could you please turn around?” Taehyung only rolled his eyes, but he did turn around as he got asked.
“Just to let you know, I didn’t mind what I was seeing…” Taehyung sang. Jungkook cringed as he undressed himself fully. He didn’t care if Taehyung was seeing him still, he should do it quickly so he wouldn’t get even more embarrassed. He quickly turned into a dragon, which wasn’t the most pleasant, but it had to happen. He felt his bones get manipulated, getting twisted and turned in inhuman ways.
His orange scales stared growing on his skin and soon, he had grown a foot or 10 taller. Wings had spread and talons had grown. Jungkook turned around to see Taehyung. He was still looking the other direction, humming a tune quietly. Jungkook watched the man for a few seconds, before he inched forward and bumped his nose into his back. Taehyung turned gracefully, his icy blue eyes staring right into Jungkook’s golden ones. Jungkook saw the surprise written over Taehyung’s face when he saw him, but that surprise got soon turned into fondness. He walked with his fingers over Jungkook’s head, His skin itching as Taehyung touched it. Some of the scales, like on his belly, underneath his throat and at the end of his wings, were red, much darker in contrast to Jungkook’s orange and yellow scales. Taehyung smiled widely.
“You look so beautiful like this.” Taehyung whispered. He looked Jungkook right in the eye. “I can’t wait to see more of you.” Jungkook could only stare at him with wide eyes as Taehyung made his way to the bags and Jungkook’s clothing. He folded his clothing neatly before pushing it in one of the remaining bags. Then he started putting the bags on Jungkook’s back, tying them so they wouldn’t fall off. When he was done, he looked at Jungkook, smiling widely. “Can I get on your back?” Jungkook only hummed. “Great!” Taehyung hopped on his back easily, securing himself so he wouldn’t fall off. “Let’s get going then, hmh?”
Yes, let’s go. Jungkook raised his long wings up and set off. Taehyung held onto him tightly, making sure he wouldn’t topple off at any sudden movement Jungkook made. With two large sweeps, Jungkook was soon high in the sky, drifting over the clouds as he traveled.
Taehyung couldn’t help but smile. He couldn’t help but spread his arms as the wind blew around him, the familiar feeling of flying taking over him. The hood of his cloak fell of, letting his hair get rustled by the wind. Never, in those years of being down there, he never knew how much he missed being up so high. To be there and fly. To do what he loved doing all those years back. He loved flying, he loved being up in the air. He loved the whistling of the wind in his ears and the slight cold feeling he had once he was up. Why did he stop doing this?
The smile got wiped off his face once he got hit with the bare truth. He couldn’t fly anymore, otherwise he’d get shot. The Pale Dragon was a prophecy everyone knew about. His safety was something that would never be reassured. So, once someone finally found him, and understood how special Taehyung actually was, he got locked away. And not the fairytale type of locked away; where a happy princess would get locked away in a tall tower, dreaming over the lights in the sky and never having anything to worry about. He got locked away. He got put in the deepest dungeons of the castle and nobody talked about him. Not even his own mother would get down and talk to him. A tear rolled down Taehyung’s cheeks, a tear that felt like ice in the cold wind. The wind swept away his tear, as if telling him not to cry. He was safe now. He was with his own kind. Jungkook was, unlike his parents, one of the same. He was a dragon, and so was Taehyung. Somehow, this made Taehyung feel safe. Maybe Jungkook felt the same as Taehyung did on some days. He felt scared, alone- but maybe. Maybe with Jungkook, he wouldn’t find be alone anymore. Maybe Jungkook could ease his fears. Taehyung smiled softly, wiping away the tears that kept falling.
Jungkook flew until the sun had slowly begun to set. Taehyung noticed when they lowered, they would land in a small clearing in the forest. The forest was thick, he could barely see through the leaves. Jungkook landed soon, the thick fallen trees creaking and breaking as he stood upon them. Taehyung slid off Jungkook’s back and got the bags from his back as well. As Jungkook made his transition back to human, Taehyung got out his clothes for him, which he put behind him quickly without looking.
‘Taehyung-ah?’ Taehyung turned around, looking with a smile to Jungkook. He was still readjusting his shirt, letting Taehyung see the remaining skin that got hidden soon.
‘Yes?’ Taehyung asked, smiling at the other man.
‘Have you ever been in an elf village?’, he blinked at Jungkook.
‘An elf village? No, I never even knew they lived in villages.’, Taehyung answered quietly. ‘Don’t they live in kingdoms?’, Jungkook chuckled.
‘This village is part of their kingdom.’, he explained. ‘You just- try not to step on plants or flowers. It’ll make them mad…’, Jungkook grabbed the bags and walked in front of Taehyung toward the village.
The village Jungkook was talking about was absolutely stunning. It was high up in the trees, the houses were made around the trees and bridges made their way from house to house. Above the houses floated lights. Lights in every color that would light up the path. Stairs and bridges would lead to each house high in the trees and Taehyung could see people walking together over those bridges to get to their supposed house. Some houses were even above each other, and the thick branches off the tree had grown in a way that they could walk up there, as if stairs had been branded into the branches. Taehyung looked in awe at the village, while Jungkook was waiting for him a few steps further.
‘This is beautiful!’ he exclaimed. ‘Your friends live here?!’
‘Hmh.’ Jungkook hummed. ‘I live here too…’
‘You do?!’ Taehyung gasped as he walked toward him. ‘I didn’t know!’
‘I just come here a few times a year.’ Jungkook explained. ‘Most of the times I’m busy…’
‘With what?’
‘… Nothing let’s get up?’ he took Taehyung’s hand and he got up on a large branch that laid in front of them. Taehyung got up with him, needing a few moments before he could stand steadily on the branch. Jungkook leaned over to the stump and knocked a few times. The branch began to shake and within moments, it started to rise up. Taehyung yelped and threw his arms around Jungkook. He froze for a few moments, before he chuckled and carefully placed an arm around him.
‘What is this?!’
‘Our way up!’ Jungkook smiled at Taehyung. Taehyung frowned, but a few seconds later he understood what Jungkook meant. The branch shook a little more, before it started to raise up. The branch moved up, up, up, dirt falling back onto the ground. It rose up high and got up just as high as one of the first platforms. Jungkook held Taehyung’s hand tightly as he stepped onto the platform, before Jungkook followed him. Taehyung stared with wide eyes at the branch as it slowly started to fall down again.
‘Woah…’ Taehyung gasped in amazement.
‘It’s pretty amazing, huh?’ Jungkook beamed.
‘It is!’ Taehyung gasped. ‘This is amazing!’ Jungkook smiled and lead Taehyung along. Taehyung walked after Jungkook, over de bridge, up some stairs, high into the trees. Taehyung skipped over the platforms and bridges when Jungkook suddenly came to a half. He raised his hand and knocked on the door. The door got opened quickly.
‘Jungkook!’ There was a man standing in front of him. Taehyung studied him quickly. He was tall, buff and broad. His hair was black, messily sitting on his head. His eyes were golden, and when he smiled, dimples appeared. ‘I got your letter, but I heard from spies that the kingdom was still standing! God- you had me so worried What happened?!’ Jungkook smiled sheepishly as the man embraced him.
‘Sorry, hyung.’ Jungkook apologized. ‘But- I met someone that needed more help than me destroying the kingdom.’ Jungkook stepped aside and held his arm out for Taehyung. He stepped into his arm, Jungkook’s arm resting on his shoulder. ‘This is Taehyung, Tae, this is Namjoon.’ Jungkook introduced the two. Taehyung smiled and waved shyly at the man.
‘Hello…’ Taehyung mumbled.
‘Hi there!’ Namjoon smiled at him. ‘Please, excuse me, but Jungkook why did you decide to-‘
‘Joon-‘ Jungkook interrupted him. ‘This is the pale dragon.’ He pulled the hood of Taehyung’s head. His white hair that just got covered by his hood got revealed and Namjoon got a better look at the man. Taehyung smiled awkwardly.
‘Oh…’ he breathed out. ‘Oh… Ehm- why don’t you guys come in? I just have to go get Yoongi…’ Namjoon turned around and rushed back into the house. Jungkook walked after him, with Taehyung happily skipping after him. ‘Get some drinks for yourselves!’ Jungkook threw the bags down and walked to the kitchen.
‘Tea?’ he asked Taehyung. Taehyung nodded furiously and sat down on the kitchen table, careful not to touch anything else in fear of breaking something. Jungkook filled a pot with water and put it on the stove, waiting for it to boil. They both heard voices getting louder and soon two other people were standing in the room. Someone with blonde hair walked in with Namjoon. Taehyung help but see the resemblance with a cat in this person… he was a lot smaller then Namjoon, but when he caught Taehyung’s anxious face, he smiled warmly.
‘Good afternoon.’ The man said. ‘Taehyung, isn’t it?’ Taehyung nodded slowly. ‘It’s so nice to meet you, I’m Yoongi!’ he shook Taehyung’s hand and Taehyung tried to give back the most convincing smile ever but failed miserably. ‘Namjoon told me your big secret.’ He grinned. ‘The Pale Dragon?’ Taehyung nodded shyly. ‘I think you know what that means, hmh?’
‘I know a lot of people want to kill me.’, Taehyung mumbled. ‘Especially one person.’
‘Oh really?’ Taehyung questioned. ‘I didn’t know that.’
‘Ever heard of the Black dragon?’ Taehyung shook his head. He glanced at Jungkook, who just placed a warm mug full of warm tea in front of him.
‘Thank you, Kookie.’ Taehyung whispered. Jungkook smiled softly.
‘The black dragon is the opposite of the pale dragon, as the name suggests.’ Yoongi explained. ‘Only the black dragon isn’t as kind as you are supposed to be. He destroys villages, kingdoms- making all the humans despise the dragon kind. Not only dragons, but all magical creatures got despised. Obviously, most of the creatures started hiding. But not all, a few of them got jealous as well. The Black Dragon was one of them. He decided on destroying all humanity. But when he heard of you. He chose to hunt you down. Because he was sure that you would stop him from doing so…’
‘Obviously!’ Taehyung exclaimed. ‘He can’t wipe out humanity. We should try and unite as one again. The humans should leave us alone, and we can leave them!’ Jungkook couldn’t help but roll his eyes. In his opinion, humans deserved to die… They had to take the responsibility for the things they’d done. Yoongi smiled at Taehyung’s answer.
‘Then… I think you should prepare for a battle.’ Jungkook’s eyes widened and stared at Yoongi.
‘What do you mean?!’ Jungkook exclaimed. ‘”Prepare for a battle”?!’
‘The Black Dragon is destroying cities out there!’ Yoongi exclaimed. ‘Taehyung is the one in the prophecies who will take him down!’ Jungkook and Namjoon take a quick glance at each other.
Yoongi didn’t know their plans. He didn’t know the plans they had been carrying out for years. Namjoon felt the same as Jungkook, maybe a little less extreme, but the same. Humans should take responsibility for their actions, and if they didn’t take them, Jungkook would bring it to them. It had been their own fault.
‘Let him be.’ Jungkook spat. ‘It’s their fault that the dragon is going after him.’
‘But Jungkookie!’ Taehyung exclaimed, shocked by Jungkook’s words. ‘We can’t let them do that! What about the families?!’ The look on Jungkook’s face was one Taehyung hadn’t seen from him yet. The awkward, shy, but sweet dragon had vanished. His gaze was cold, stale. He could see him biting the inside of his cheek angrily.
‘They should take responsibility.’ He mumbled, still trying to keep his voice calm around Taehyung. He didn’t want to scare the man away.
‘And the innocent ones?’ Taehyung asked with a raised eyebrow. ‘The ones who secretly riot against the government to try and protect the dragons? Or the ones who don’t have anything to do with it?’
‘They’re unfortunate enough to be human.’ Jungkook simply said. Taehyung sighed, glancing back at Yoongi, who smiled softly at him.
‘I have a few friends who can help you.’ Yoongi continued, completely ignoring Jungkook’s and his conversation. ‘They can maybe teach you how to fight in human form and even in dragon form. There are different ways to use your powers to your advantage.’ He glanced at Jungkook. ‘And I’m sure Jungkook would love to help you, wouldn’t he?’ Jungkook could help but sigh at Taehyung’s bright expression.
‘Of course…’ Taehyung smiled brightly.
‘That’s great!’ Yoongi smiled. ‘I’ll contact my friends and they should be here in seven days! In the meantime, Jungkook and Namjoon could help you with your- physical strength.’
‘Are you saying I’m not strong?!’
‘You look like you get blown away by a gust of wind.’
-
Jungkook and Taehyung ate at Namjoon and Yoongi’s house. Yoongi made a big dinner, which Taehyung almost ate himself silly. Jungkook got their bags again and lead Taehyung to his house, after he happily waved the couple goodbye.
‘Your friends are nice!’ Taehyung exclaimed as he rushed after Jungkook. ‘I want friends like that as well…’
‘Well, they are your friends now!’ Jungkook exclaimed. ‘I think they love you.’ Jungkook smiled at him. ‘Do you mind staying in my house?’ But Taehyung shook his head quickly.
‘I’m more then grateful that you’re keeping me safe!’ Taehyung piped up. ‘Thank you so much, Kookie!’ Jungkook smiled, ruffling Taehyung’s hair.
‘No problem. I couldn’t let you stay there when I found you.’
‘I’m thankful that you took me with you, I’ve had others come in there before you.’ Jungkook frowned at Taehyung as they walked toward Jungkook’s house.
‘And they kept you there?’
‘Most of them got killed by guards or it were guards coming to taunt me.’ Taehyung shrugged. Jungkook stopped in his steps, making Taehyung bump into him.
‘Were it the ones I killed?!’ Jungkook asked sharply.
‘Well, they laid dead in front of the prison. I can only assume you did it… Well, you just admitted it as well.’ Taehyung smiled. ‘But don’t worry, that’s all in the past!’ Jungkook bit his lip.
‘We’ll make sure that at the end of this, you’ll be so strong that you can beat everyone, and nobody will even try to lock you up.’ Taehyung frowned at him.
‘Really?’
‘Yes, really. I’ll make sure of that.’
And surely, Jungkook kept his promise.
