Chapter Text

Jiang Cheng went to the store to buy the print volume of Mo Dao Zu Shi's manga. Since the novel came out, he had become a fan, had acquired the novel, merchandise, and now had bought the manga.

At first, he had read the novel on a recommendation basis, then the political intrigues of the story had caught his attention, but perhaps it had influenced that he had the same name as one of the characters. Although the character named after him appeared quite a bit in the novel, Jiang Cheng was definitely a character that generated controversy. In the beginning, Jiang Cheng was basically the adoptive brother of the protagonist, but little by little the tragedies had made him bitter.

Of course, there were other reasons why he read and reread this novel, perhaps one of them was the love story. Not that Jiang Cheng was a romantic, but it was inspiring for him to see Lan Wangji's devotion in waiting for Wei Wuxian for so many years. However, Wei Wuxian was his favorite character, as despite the problems, he had chosen the right path.

The joy of having acquired the manga was cut short when he suddenly felt a strong blow, he felt himself fall and the last thing he could perceive was the noise of cars and screams before he knew no more.
