Chapter Text

Hello. The disclaimer will always be we have no rights to Boruto. We don't make profits just for writing a story either. It's free for everyone to read and enjoy themselves reading our story. Enjoy and have a good read.

How sweet of you.

In a few days the small town of Konoha would be celebrating Mother’s Day. A day in honor of all mother’s around the world. Whom, never celebrated the day was Kawaki. What he wonders to give to the Uzumaki matriarch was unknown for him.

Kawaki would ask her children and husband, the seventh hokage. He'd go up to the younger Uzumaki child. What he sees her doing was writing a lovely note for her mother. Himawari takes a peek as Kawaki treks up to her. Giving him a heartwarming smile she pats a spot for him to join her.

He does so with a small chuckle. "What are you up to?"

"I'm just preparing some Mother's Day gifts for mama."

"oh how nice of you."

"Did you get anything for mama too?"

"I haven't," He scratches his cheeks. "It's going to be kind of hard for me."

"Do you want any help?"

"No. It's something I'll want to do on my own,"

"Okay, big brother." The cute girl gives him a cheery grin. Hugging him suddenly as it caught the older male by surprise.

From there he goes on to ask Naruto. Luckily the seventh was home for some hours. As it was decided upon Shikimaru and Naruto to spend time with their wives who are loving mothers to their children of course.

The older blond man sitting on a chair, would think what to get for Hinata. So many things to get for her too. His mind was blank on what to get her. Blue eyes scans who's coming into the dining room. Seeing it was Kawaki has him happily wave at the dark haired teen.

"Hey, Kawaki. Good morning."

"Good morning seventh."

He joins him grabbing for a chair. Just sitting across from him. The young male thought the older male knew what to get for his wife. He's about to ask till Naruto broke the ice himself.

"I'm at loss on what to get her today.  A day specifically for mothers too."

"I don't know either, seventh." he'd confess shaking his head. "I never gotten a mother anything..."

"I know Hinata would love anything from you all." Naruto cheers him on. "You don't need to overthink it, Kawaki."

"You can take your own advice too, seventh."

With that said, Kawaki stands up. The blond was in shock what was thrown his way. Of course, he knew he needed to take his own advice.

Outside of the house Kawaki decided on taking a stroll around the town. He kept frying his mind with many things he's seen Hinata do. Especially doing for her family. Just as he's turning the corner he sees his rivaled adopted brother, or brother as he calls him.

"Hey my brother, what are you doing?"

Shoving his hands in his pocket while going up to him. The blond waves at him once he catches the attention of Kawaki. He wasn't alone. Alongside him was Mitsuki whom smiles. The brothers begin chatting of the day specially. What surprises Boruto was Kawaki's dilemma. He chuckles while nudging his arms.

"You don't really need to laugh about my troubles..."

"I can't help it, Kawaki."

All Mitsuki does is shrug his shoulders. As well as trying to calm the giggling blond. In annoyance, Kawaki stomped away from the twosome friends.

'What a jerk.'

The thought ran in Kawaki's mind. Maybe browsing around the town he'd find something she'll love. Even something small coming from him. Groaning he closes his eyes while walking. Oblivious to Sarada's presence. She calls his name when patting his shoulders.

"Kawaki. Are you okay?"

A little shocked by the cute Uchiha girl in front of him. Few sighs coming out of him. Would asking for her help and advice do him any good? He does so.

The young tough teen posed help from one of his adopted brother’s friends. It being Sarada Uchiha. Gladly, she decides to help him.

“In return, we’ll go out and eat somewhere.”

“Yes. What should I get my adopted mother?”

“Something from your heart,” she points to his chest. “She’ll love too.”

His face brightens red. Her sudden pointing to his chest has many thoughts running in his mind. Mostly how kind and helpful she’s been since their first encounter a year ago.

“She likes a lot of things.”

“Don’t we all?”

“I know it’ll have to be something flattering coming from me.”

“You can make something for her.”

“It wouldn’t work. Or be possible…” he says of himself. “I’m not good at creating anything.”

“Except for trouble.” She jokes heartily.

“Very funny.” He smirks just by her lame joke. As he couldn’t help it either. She’ll be a huge help for him.

“We’re just going to have to buy something.”

“Yes we will.”

The twosome sits down at the burger place. Thinking of what to get buy for Hinata. As Himawari and Boruto already gotten her something. He wanted to do the same as she happily welcomed the former bad boy to her house with open arms.

“I think I have something.”

“What is it?”

“Once we’re done here I’ll tell you.”

The friends make it to Ino’s family flower shop. Sarada liked the idea. They entered the shop as Inojin welcomes them.

“Oh, you’re both here.”

“Is someone getting special flowers for someone.” The art loving young blond asks his two friends.

“Yes but it’s for aunt Hinata.”

“Oh right for Mother’s Day.”

“Yes. What kind of flowers specifies thank you and I love you?”

Inojin points to few Hydrangea flowers that were set up on display. Explaining the meaning to their beauty too.

“Symbolism for family.”

“Yes. So would you like to get them for Hinata?”

Ino makes her presence. He’d give her a nod. She grabs a few in the back and prepares them for Kawaki. How happy she was for the former tough guy to do something decent and sincere for the Uzumaki matriarch.

“She’ll love these.”

“Thank you.”

Sarada chips in paying for it. As she knew he was tapped out of money. All thanks to buying delicious crepes just the day before.

“You didn’t have to.”

“I wanted to.”

Thankful and grateful once again. All paid for the twosome leaves with a small bag that has the beautiful flower placed on.

Quickly going and leaving the shop they continued with their day. What’s seen through his eyes were happy children giving their mothers special gifts. Hopefully Hinata would love hers too.

“She’ll love it.”

“I know she will,” he was assuring himself. “Thanks and I owe you.” From there he kisses her cheeks.

That night the three young siblings give Hinata their gifts. A beautiful painting created by Himawari. Tickets to join her shopping one day was giving by Boruto. As for Kawaki, a little shy he’d give her the few hydrangeas.

“Sweet of you.”

“I had help.”

“This means a lot,” tearfully she says. “I’ll set this up with the rest of  the flowers you’ve all given me.”

“Happy Mother’s Day.”

The Uzumaki Hyuga clan says in chorus. Mostly in singsong voices.

Cheery and joyful they were all that night. Specially the thought in  Kawaki’s mind. How much of a huge help she was.

‘I’m going to thank her.’
