Maybe a hero

Summary:

Killian Jones thoughts after the first kiss with Emma

Notes:

This is my first fanfics on Captain Swan, I wrote this in 2014 and publisher in the Italian Fanfic site EFP.
I think it's iconic to choose this as the first story to be translated into English, so sorry for eventually errors.
I have no idea where I got this from, but after watching (for the 1000th time) the 3X05 kiss I came up with this little thing, I don't even know how to define it, I'm usually much more verbose than that, are the thoughts of our good captain, immediately after the kiss.
Happy reading and I really hope you enjoy it.

Maybe a hero

The amber liquid went down his throat, intoxicating his senses, at that moment he really needed it. He still felt stunned by what had just happened: Emma had kissed him, there in the middle of Neverland, after he had saved her father's life.
For the first time, Emma had lowered her defenses, had allowed him to get closer.
He had played with her from the day they met, when he realized what she was made of, that she wasn't like all the others. He wanted to have her, to make her his, to tear down those walls she had erected to keep everyone away, he had been willing to put aside her personal revenge, only for her.
But now, that kiss changed everything: the cards on the table were damn different, that kiss had turned out to be more dangerous than he could ever have imagined.
For the first time in centuries something was feeding his heart, and it was neither revenge or pain. Until that moment he had survived thanks to a fire fueled by pain and hatred, no woman could even get close to his Milah, but Emma Swan had changed everything.

After a long time, Emma had awakened a part of herself in him, she had awakened the good and brave Killian Jones, the man and not the pirate. Now he was ready for anything for her, even being a better man, maybe even a hero.
