The Funeral

Alphas, Stanley (Stan) and Stanford (Ford) Pines were burying their older brother Sherman (Shermie) Pines next to his wife, Carolyn Pines. Their Omegas, Mabel Pines and Mason Pines (Dipper), stood next to them weeping. They had asked Wendy Corduroy to look after their pups ; being only 2 years old, they would be too young to understand what was going on. Ford saw his Omega, Dipper, turn around slowly. "What's wrong, Mason?" Ford asked anxiously. He could see the alarm on Stan's face as his Omega, Mabel, mirrored her twin brother's actions. There behind them stood the younger twins' parents, Alex and Lisa Pines. "What are you doing here?" Mabel spat out angrily. "I am here to say goodbye to my father," Alex answered, grief-stricken. "He might have been your brother," he said, looking at the older twins, Stan and Ford. "And your grandfather," he said now, speaking to his children, Mabel and Dipper; "But he was my father, and I deserve the right to say goodbye!" Lisa placed a comforting hand on her husband's shoulder, and the two of them left without another word.

The News

Mabel Pines and Mason Pines (Dipper) sat in the park with Wendy Corduroy, watching their pups only to be approached by their father, Alex Pines. "What are you doing here?" Mabel spat out angrily. "I am here to let you know your mother died," Alex answered, grief-stricken. Mabel and Dipper were stunned, not knowing what to say. All they could do was watch their father walk away silently.

Mabel was busy in the back of her store, Zodiac Fashion; she was getting ready to send out her latest winter collection. After telling her store manager that she would be back in an hour, she went to meet her twin for lunch. "Hi, Dipper," she greeted breathlessly as she sat opposite him in the booth at the back of Greasy Diner. After Dipper greeted Mabel in return, Mabel looked at her brother nervously before saying, "I found out something today, and I don't know how to tell Stan. You're not dying! Are you?" Dipper asked in alarm. "No! I am pregnant," Mabel said indignantly. Dipper looked thoughtful for a moment before saying in excitement, "I am pregnant too! We can be pregnant together again!" Then he paused, backtracking. "You're worried Stan won't take the news well," Dipper said, seeing Mabel's miserable expression. "We hadn't planned on having more pups, and with Jasmine and Aurora in their terrible twos...” He put a comforting hand over Mabel’s. "You've seen how great he is with the twins. I am sure he will be over the moon." "Thanks, bro-bro," Mabel said, feeling better. "You always know what to say . " "Besides," Dipper added slyly, "It's not like you're going to have a brood like Wendy and Luna." This caused Mabel to laugh. “Speaking of telling," Mabel began, giving her brother a shrewd look, "Have you told Ford the news?" "Well...no," Dipper admitted reluctantly. "He is always so busy at GF University that I hardly see him anymore!" Before he could stop her, Mabel grabbed his phone and sent a text message to Ford. "I told him you need to speak to him urgently. You're welcome, “Mabel said, looking smug. Dipper spluttered incoherently as they both left the diner.

The problem with being mated was that you could sense your mate's emotions, so Stan, who was putting their daughters to bed, was worried about Mabel. As he walked into the lounge, he could see she was wearing his dress shirt, and the anxiety flowed from her. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" he asked gently as he knelt beside her. Mabel bit her lip and handed him the pregnancy test. “You’re pregnant!" Stan exclaimed with happiness. "I didn't know how you would take the news," Mabel said, sighing in relief. "You made me the happiest Alpha!" Stan exclaimed, kissing Mabel. "I can't wait to tell Ford!"

At the same moment, Dipper was waiting for Ford to get home. After putting his twin sons, Bruce and Anthony (Tony), to bed, he felt a wave of sadness wash over him. Gathering Ford's trench coat, he decided to sleep on the couch. Ford cursed as he entered his home; he felt a wave of sadness wash over him. Something had upset his Omega, and he was probably the cause. The university had been keeping him unnecessarily late, and even though Ford knew he should have said something, he didn't think it would cause problems. As he walked into the lounge, he saw Dipper lying on the couch, covered in his trench coat, with tear tracks down his face. "Mason, love, you need to wake up," Ford said gently. Dipper sat up, clutching Ford's trench coat but said nothing. "Mason, what's wrong?" Ford asked anxiously. "Tell me the truth, Ford. Are you going to leave me? Is that why you're working late?" Dipper stated bluntly. Ford was shocked and stunned. "There is only one Omega for me," he said gently, peppering Dipper's face with kisses. Dipper handed Ford the pregnancy test. "I am going to be a dad again; I can't wait to tell Stan!" And with that, he picked up Dipper and carried him to their room.

Dipper was visiting Mabel, who were both now in their second month of pregnancy. "Stan is hoping for another girl," Mabel said as she got comfortable in Stan's favourite chair, "but I know it's going to be a boy," Mabel nodded knowingly, taking a sip of her Pit Cola. "I know mine is a girl," Dipper said, also taking a sip of his Pit Cola, "It will balance things out nicely," he finished happily. "As long as it's not another set of twins!" they both said, laughing together. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Mabel looked shocked as she answered the door; it was her father, Alex. "Can I come in?" he asked nervously. "Of course," Mabel said, standing aside to let him in. "Who is it?" Dipper called from the living room. "It's Dad," Mabel said in a neutral voice. "What are you doing here?" Dipper asked in surprise. "I know I wronged you in the past, but I want to apologize,” Alex began sincerely. "I want to be part of your lives again. What I am asking," he continued, taking a deep breath, "Can you find it in your hearts to forgive an old, foolish man his mistakes?” "I don't know," Mabel said sadly. "We need time," Dipper said, looking at his father just as sadly. "I understand," their father said, getting up to leave. "I will be in town for the next couple of days. I am staying at the GF Inn," and with that, he left.

Forgiveness

"You will never believe who I saw today," Mabel began casually as the four of them sat down for dinner. "Please do tell," Stan said with a raised eyebrow. "My dad came to see us; he asked us to forgive him," she said in one breath. "I am sorry, I don't think I heard you correctly," Stan said slowly, in stunned anger. "The same man who tried to sell you and Dipper, then tried to kidnap both of you while you were pregnant. I will give him forgiveness with Mr. Left and Mr. Right," Stan finished by shaking his fist. "Let's invite him over for dinner and see what he has to say," Mabel requested sweetly, giving her best puppy dog eyes. "Fine," Stan said with a resigned sigh. "Great!" Mabel said with enthusiasm, "I will let Ford and Dipper know to come over."

Ford was busy in his underground lab, Dipper came in hugging him from behind, taking in his Alpha’s scent. “Dipper, what brings you down here” Ford asked, kissing him on the hand. “My dad is in town,” Dipper said casually, leaning on the table. Ford stiffened slowly, putting down what he was working on, “And what does he want?” Ford asked stiffly. “He came by to let us know our mother died and to beg us for our forgiveness,” Ford scowled. “The only thing he deserves is the end of my laser gun!” “Just one dinner, to see what he wants” Dipper begged. “Fine, just one,” Ford grumbled. Just then they heard their phones ping, “And it looks like your sister as organised everything, but I am taking my laser gun with." Dipper smiled as he kissed Ford lovingly on the check.

Dinner was tense at first until Stan started a conversation. "So, how is California?" "Its okay, Uncle Stan, but it's not the same without Lisa,” Alex said sadly. The death of a mate could affect an Alpha or an Omega badly. "What are your plans now?" Ford asked his nephew. "I am hoping you will forgive me and allow me to be part of my grandkids ' lives. I am also planning on moving, but I haven't decided where." "Why don't you move here? To Gravity Falls," Mabel suggested. "That's a great idea!" Dipper said with enthusiasm. The older twins exchanged dark looks. They weren't that forgiving and learned that sweet words often hid lies. They would hate to see their Omegas go through that.

They had decided to spend the day at the lake. Alex stood tentatively in front of the two families. "This is Bruce and Tony," Ford said proudly, introducing his 2-year-old sons. "And these are my daughters, Jasmine and Aurora," Stan said just as proudly, introducing his two-year-old twin daughters. "Kids," Mabel said, “meet your grandpa." The kids looked uncertainly at their parents. "It's okay," Dipper encouraged, and with that, they welcomed Alex into their young hearts. "What do you think?" Mabel and Dipper asked their Alphas as they watched their kids play with their grandpa. "He gets one chance," Stan said sternly. "One step out of line and he will be tasting the end of my laser gun!” Ford added grimly.

One year later

Looking back on the year that had passed, the death of their mother and their father returning , Mabel sat on the porch with her one-year-old son, Clinton (Clint), watching her three -year-old daughters play . “Are Uncle Dipper and Uncle Ford coming?" Jasmine asked. "And Grandpa?" Aurora asked. Mabel smiled lovingly at her daughters. "There they are now," Mabel pointed. Coming toward them was Ford, carrying his one-year-old daughter, Diana, followed by Dipper and their three -year-old sons. "Aunty Mabel!" the boys cried in joy as they ran forward to greet her. "Looks like things are working out better than we expected," Ford said, standing next to Stan. "Who knew it would take the death of Lisa for Alex to come to his senses? " Stan said, shaking his head in amazement. Looking at their families play happily in the yard, they knew they made the right choice by allowing Alex to move to Gravity Falls. If forgiving Alex meant seeing the happy expression on their Omega and pups' faces, it was worth it.
