Luz wanted her mom.
She’d experienced nothing but terror for the past week, no matter where she went she couldn’t find comfort.
She’d seen to much, she’d heard to much, she’d felt to much. Everything was just to much. Her mom would’ve helped her, she would’ve loved her, she wanted Camila.
Luz wanted her mom.
Luz had seen so much in only one day. It felt like she couldn’t breathe without something looming over her. The tiniest things seem threatening, nothing was sacred.
She couldn’t stare at something for too long without feeling like something would catch her off guard. Camila would’ve helped, she’d keep her safe, she’d have her back.
Luz wanted her mom.
Luz wanted to cry, she wanted nothing more than to just stop, fall over, and cry till everything went away.
But she couldn’t do that, she had to stay strong, even when she wanted to die, she stayed strong. Camila would’ve let her cry, she would’ve let her cry to her hearts content. Camila wouldn’t have rushed her to be strong all the time.
Luz wanted her mom.
Nothing was going right, Luz stayed at the Isles to feel wanted, she stayed to have fun, she stayed to make friends, real friends.
Luz didn’t want this, she didn’t want to have to deal with all of this, she didn’t want to have to keep secrets, she didn’t want to hurt people. Camila would’ve dealt with it for Luz. Camila would’ve helped Luz fix her mistakes. Camila would’ve made sure no one got hurt.
Luz wanted Camila. Luz wanted her mom.
She could hardly take this anymore. She’d had enough of danger, she’d had enough of felling so drained, she’d had enough of not being able to lead a normal life. There was one thing she wanted.
Luz wanted her mom, Luz needs her mom.
