“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Haneda Airport. Local time is 2:35 PM and the temperature is 15ºC.
For your safety and comfort, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. This will indicate that we have parked at the gate and that it is safe for you to move about. At this time, you may use your cellular phones if you wish.
Please check around your seat for any personal belongings you may have brought on board with you and please use caution when opening the overhead bins, as heavy articles may have shifted around during the flight.
If you require deplaning assistance, please remain in your seat until all other passengers have deplaned. One of our crew members will then be pleased to assist you.
On behalf of Nikkō Airlines and the entire crew, I’d like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice stay!”
He took off his headset and put it in its place. His co-pilot, Hamada, let out a relieved sigh with both shoulders slumped. “Finally the last board in this month.”
Chifuyu chuckled, head nodding in agreement. “Any plans you want to make while you’re on your day off?”
“Yeah, I have some thoughts and I’m planning on doing it with my fiancé. How about you? Still can't get rid of her yet?”
“I don’t know dude,” he said, “I already told her I have a girlfriend and she is still insisting, a stubborn one.”
Hamada patted his shoulders in sympathy, “Sorry I can't help much, I hope she’ll back off as soon as possible.”
“That’s harsh but I hope so too,” Chifuyu chuckled once again.
As soon as Chifuyu dragged his belongings to Haneda Airport, a high pitched voice came striking his ear. Damn , I almost lost my hearing .
“Matsun, are you free tonight? Wanna go on fine-dine with me?” ask Seina beside him.
Chifuyu gave her merely a glance, “Sorry, I have my own agenda today.”
She pouted, giving a-cute-look alike. Her hands circled his right arm, “Matsun, will you at least spend your time with me once?”
“Fuyu?”
They turn their heads together. One gave ‘ please save me ’ look while the other one gave ‘ who are you? ’ to you. For a second you are processing the current situation, trying to understand what is going on. Until a voice disrupts your mind.
Seina smiled, “How can we help you?”
“Sorry if I sound like eave-dropping, but are you two going to have dinner tonight?” She nodded excitedly, “yes! You’re right.”
“I see, I'm off then. Excuse me.”
“Wait! Swee⎯”
You didn’t turn around, you just kept walking and took a left turn. Leaving Chifuyu with an unfamiliar girl, go wherever they want. Vaguely you hear the girl you met dragging Chifuyu away to the other way.
“Let’s go, Matsun!”
A heave sigh escaped from your mouth. You laboriously spent the rest of the time just to see your lover who just came despite today having a full schedule treating patients. Not a single break you take.
Tonight you’ll have another night alone in your apartment. Just like before Chifuyu informed you that he’ll have those days off to spend with you. You’re about to walk to the exit and take a bus to go home but someone is standing in your way.
“Excuse me, can you⎯Koko? What are you doing here?”
“How are you?” His sly smile and sharp eyes greet your view. You tell him everything is normal, you have good days without any problems as well you ask him the same question.
“Fine as usual,” He laughed at your clicking tongue, “you’re not answering my question Koko.”
“Oh, yeah, remember Mitsuya? He just take-off to Paris to attend an event. I drove him with his siblings coming along.”
Your right eyebrows lifted up, “Then where are⎯?”
“Big Brother Koko! We’re sorry for making you wait,” said Mana.
Koko let out a laugh, patting their heads gently telling no need to apologize. They turn their gaze to you when they realize there is a girl standing in front of Koko.
Mana looks at you with sparkles scattered on her eyes.
“Are you Big Brother Koko’s girlfriend?”
Luna replies, “Or are you Big Brother Mitsuya’s girlfriend?”
“Neither both.”
“I’m her ex-boyfriend,” which causes them to turn their heads at full speed to Koko. They tug their hands at Koko’s trousers excitedly going to interview him.
You rolled your eyes nonetheless. What did you expect from this blunt man?
You look down at Mana, who is now pulling your hand shyly. “Big Brother Koko told us he wanted to take us to have lunch. Please come with us.”
“Can i?”
Koko nodded and smiled, “Anytime.”
“Sorry I cannot take you to your apartment. I cannot leave these little devils alone in a car late at night.”
You laughed, “No problem, you may go now. Safe drive.”
“Oh and, see you when I see you?”
He smiled, this time you felt a little different from it. “See you when I see you.”
He waved at you and you did the same. The night breeze brushes your face gently, Tokyo late night would never let you be disappointed with its vibes. Even though the clock almost got to midnight, the people still actively divagate almost everywhere.
You entered the apartment building where you lived. The sound of your heels echoing the lobby. Your finger-tip presses the up button, not long after that the lift arrived and you got in.
Today you’re having a great time spending a half day with them. To be frank you’re enjoying your time eating, playing games, and strolling with Koko, Luna, and Mana.
The most (probably) shocking part is that Koko is good with children. Just like⎯You snapped. Ah right , I should text him right after I lay down on my sofa .
Or is he already at home?
You’re eager to find it out. Subsequently the lift let out a ‘ding!’, you fastened your steps ignoring the click-clack sound from your heels.
You input the passcode and rushingly open the door. Turn on the lamp and put your heels on the shoe rack then wear slippers.
The room shows nothing except the presence of yours. The tranquil kills you slowly, everything is fit in the right place but none of it shows Chifuyu’s presence.
He’s not home yet.
