B-bump, b-bump.
That was the only sound Gerard could hear in the deadly silent room of the night. It was pitch black, the full moon's gleaming light being blocked out.
He didn't know how he got here or why the floor was so cold, but he knew one thing;
His world was ending.
Gerard laid on his side, surrounded by scattered rose petals on the wooden surface.
His face was ghostly pale, his hands gripping the chest of his black suit, the rose petals nessled between his fingers.
B-bump, b-bump.
The beating of his heart so powerful, it vibrated through his soul.
B-bump, b-bump.
He thought about his life and how far he's come.
The pain, the laughter.
Joy, sadness.
He experienced it all.
But nothing could prepare him, or stop his tragic fate.
B-Bump, b-bump.
He knew this would happen. Nothing truly lasts forever. Everything must come to an end.
B-Bump..b-bump.
It was a harsh reality everyone had to face, but one we all must come accustomed to, whether we desire it, or not.
B-Bump...b-bump.
And Gerard, was ready for it all.
As his heartbeat slowed to a stop, the desperate grip on his chest loosened, the petals escaping his grasp.
His jaw grew slack, his body becoming limp. It was like he was decending to the heavens.
B-Bump....b-bump.
With one final breath, Gerard was no more.
Suddenly, blinding yellow rays seeped through the parted curtains of each large blurry window in the small room, lighting up Gerard's lifeless body.
The birds chirping could be heard near the small pond outside.
A new life has been born.
