Aiden could finally go to place where he was supposed to meet up with Hakon. Well, he was going late because things got complicated, but that didn’t stop him. For now he had free hands, so he ran as fast as he could to Hakon’s hideout. It wasn’t far, so Aiden got there really quickly, without any other problems on his way.
He went inside of the building. Hakon was already there, waiting for him, leaning back against the room’s wall. -“You’re finally here! Let’s go. No time to waste Aiden.” Hakon pulled away from the wall and headed to back door. -“When Jana heard you were coming, she grabbed Sarah and they left. Seems they weren’t too fond of you…”. Well, Aiden wasn’t surprised. Hakon reached for the door handle, pushing the door. -“Where are we…”. Aiden didn’t have chance to finish his sentence, because of the sound of the crossbow fired. Man screamed loudly as he got shot straight into his chest. -“Waltz, fucking hell…” He fell hard on the floor, backing away from shot line. Aiden was really confused at first, but then quickly jumped to the door and shut them closed.
-“Calm down. Let me see.” He crouched next to Hakon grabing his shoulder, the shot wound was bleeding badly. Without hesitation Aiden tried to grab the bolt, but Hakon didn’t let him do this. -“Lemme see, I’ll help.” Hakon only gasped with pain. -“Fuck… Wait..”. Man tried to push Aiden’s hand but younger didn’t want to give up. -“Just let me help…”. He just wanted to help him, so why Hakon was acting so defensively about it? -“Relax, you’re going to make it through…” Aiden accidentally caught part of Hakon’s clothes, revealing something he didn’t want to believe. To see better, he tilted his head back. -“What’s that?” Aiden pulled away from him in severe shock but also with growing anger. -“The wound from Lazarus!?”
Just why? Aiden couldn’t understand it. -“So you killed Lucas!?” Hakon’s face twisted in pain. -“No point denying it with this wound, right?” Aiden growled in anger, so everything was a lie? Anger boiled in him like boiling water. -“The tattoo… so you did it…”. That was disgusting, Aiden felt sick from even thinking about this. The person, who he had deeper feelings for, betrayed him like that. -“Waltz… He ordered the kill.. Aiden please..” Aiden started yelling holding tears back. -“You’re working with Waltz and you didn’t tell me?! You fucker! You knew he tortured me in the past! You.. You.. I hate you!” He could see how Hakon tried to stand, but failed. Insted he spoke, but Aiden didn’t want to listen to it anymore. -“He would’ve killed me Aiden… Please I.. I didn’t-”
-“Stop bullshiting Hakon, I can’t listen to this shit any longer”. -“I wanted to protect you… I couldn’t have told you… Please don’t leave me… You would leave me now?..”, a trembling voice came from the man’s mouth.
Aiden’s brain was fighting with his feelings right now, he hated Hakon so much now, but at the same time… He couldn’t leave him here… Or he didn’t want to leave him? The same thing, Aiden thought. Fuck it… Feelings, their friendship, this stupid fucker gonna take him straight into a grave. But, even if he’s going to help him, it doesn’t mean he will forgive him.
But first… Aiden quickly crouched and grabed the bolt in Hakon’s chest, pressing it harder. -“Were is he?” He asked with deep voice, looking with fury at Hakon. -“OW, FUCK! Aiden-” He didn’t stop. -“Where is Waltz!?” Hakon gasped hard with pain. -“I.. Was supposed to meet him under the electric car factory..In the GRE tunel..” Oh? So far away, but that was problem for the future Aiden.
-“I should leave you here to die for what you did.” Hakon smiled with sadness. -“Why won’t you do that?” Aiden grabed the bolt and pulled it out from the man’s chest, he screamed in pain, but then looked at Aiden with curious eyes. -“I’m gonna find that sniper first.” his eyes widened. -“Really? You’d do that for me?” Aiden sighed, he is making the mistake here for sure, but well… He couldn’t stop himself from it. -“Life for a life.” And then he walked out through the door, jumping to the nearest wall to not get shot.
Aiden underestimated the sniper. Asshole had eye like a falcon, moving from a wall to a wall was a real challenge, but not impossible of course. He moved quickly to the deadly zone, witch was his only option to get on the roof. His opponent didn’t miss this, and Aiden almost ended up as a burned chicken, because of barrels exploding. -“Are you okay Aiden? I heard explosions…”. Sound came from his walkie-talkie. Hakon sometimes couldn’t shut up, Aiden heard this question like 7th times now, and it started getting on his nerves. -“Yes, I am. Stop fucking asking, I’m busy.”
Finally Aiden climbed to the roof but, well, life was hard. Sniper managed to ran to another one. So he wanted to play? Very well.
Few roofs later Aiden catched this woman? Yeah, sniper was definately a woman.
But his victory didn’t last long, because she kicked him hard, crashed him to the ground. -“Why are you helping him!?” Her angry voice came out as she kicked him again. -“Pick your friends better!”. Pain spread over Aiden’s arm as she shot him with the crossbow. -“Ah! Fuck.. It’s because he killed Lucas?” She didn’t even look at him, only stood at edge of the roof. -“Tell him it’s not over yet.” Suddenly she tilts backwards. -“Wait!”. Oh, she had paraglider. Fucking hell, what was that about? Aiden apparently wasn’t the only one who got a problem with Hakon right now.
His shoulder and arm was hurting badly, stupid crossbow could do a real damage unfortunately. Aiden didn’t pull out the bolt to not cause more bleeding, he needed to get back to the hideout for a millitary medkit to help himself, and Hakon. He was sure the man didn’t do anything when he was fighting the sniper. Mabye he hated him now, but still didn’t want him to die. He pulled out his walkie-talkie, asking to be sure. -“Hakon? Are you alive?” Man immediately answered. -“Still going, somehow.” Aiden sighed, managed to jump off roof, without hurting himself more. After that he went back to Hakon.
He opened the door to see Hakon didn’t move, he changed his position, but didn’t move from the place Aiden has left him in. When he spotted Aiden, his mouth went into big smile, but then dropped to fear as he saw the bolt. -“Oh my god! Aiden, he got you too, are you okay??”. Without answering he took one of the medkits and crouched next to Hakon. -“She”. Aiden said, making older man confused. -“What?” -“The sniper was a ‘she’ she was a woman, and she hated you as much as I do now. Sounded personal as well.” Cold voice came out from his mouth. -“Oh…” The only thing Hakon has said, but then hissed as Aiden grabed his shirt. -“Aiden?” -“Take it off now.” Confusion has shown at Hakon’s face. -“I’m not gonna.. Uh.. repeat myself..” His face twisted as he moved his arm too much and the bolt has moved. -“Aiden… You shoud help yourself first…” Man put his palm on Aiden’s face but he fastly knocked it off. -“Shut up, don’t tell me what to do.” Without hesitation Aiden ripped off his shirt to see wound. Hakon made a strange noise but Aiden didn’t listen to him, he just wanted to do what he needed.
He hissed when Aiden applied a biting substance to his wound to clean it up. -“Aiden..” After bandaging the wound, he didn’t take his hand off of Hakon, instead he put it on the Lazarus’ wound. His face has shown sadness for a second and then he wanted to let go, but Hakon suddenly grabbed his hand. -“I’m so sorry Aiden… I really mean it. Please… I don’t want it to end like that.. Don’t go.” Aiden pulled out his hand from the man’s grasp. -“ I think you don’t understand how much you have hurted me. We are going to end it like this.” The boy grabbed the bolt in his chest and pulled it out with a hiss. And then threw it next to Hakon’s legs. -“It’s the end.” He turned from Hakon, who stood up and hugged him thightly from behind. -“Please Aiden… Don’t go…” His body tightened, he tried to break free, but older man didn’t let him go. -“Let me go..”
Hakon muffled into his neck. -“I can’t.. If I let you go, I’m going to lose you forever.” Something wet began to run down his cheeks. Aiden was crying. -“F-fuck off.. I hate you! Why did I even help you? Why…” He couldn’t stop his tears, pathetic. -“I know.. I know Aiden, I hate myself too for what I have done to you. But I really didn’t want this to end up like that. Please believe me.” Hakon turned Aiden to him and gave him small and short kiss on the forehead.
Aiden’s brain went totallt blank, at first he didn’t know what to do, but then he slowly hugged Hakon and put his head on his shoulder. -“I hate you. I fucking hate you Hakon.” Hakon smiled to himself hugging him back. -“I know.” They stood there for few minutes when Aiden finally pulled back. -“That.. that’s enough, we can’t…” -“We can Aiden nothing stoping us right?”
He sneaked a kiss into Aiden’s lips but he quickly pushed the man back. His face went red immediately. -“You’re giving me more reasons to hate you.” Hakon smiled wildly. -“I know.”
Aiden couldn’t forgive him now… But mabye someday he will do.. And they will go together to the ocean.
