Work Text:
Shirabu just stared. There was a boy in the school library with Shirabu. He was just staring out the window, yet, somehow, Shirabu found him mezmerizing. The boy had ash-blond hair, the tips dyed black. His was uniform blazer was unbuttoned, his tie slightly loose. He looked so lovely, basking in the evening light. Would Shirabu get any work done today? Whatever the case, Shirabu had obviously stared at him for too long, for the lovely stranger glanced at Shirabu, making eye contact. Shirabu returned back to his work, embarressed by his actions. The stranger simply just smiled and returned his focas back to the window. Soon, however, the ash-blond boy got up from his seat by the window and walked over to Shirabu.
"Hey there."
Shirabu looked up. Was the boy talking to him? "Good evening."
"Are you a first year?" the boy said, looking him up and down. "I've never seen you in school before."
Shirabu raised his brows. Was this boy one of the popular kids that knew everyone in the school? He surely had the looks of one. "Yes sir," he simply replied.
The boy stared at him, slightly flustered. "Uh- No need to call me sir. My name is Semi," he finally let out with a chuckle.
"That's a nice name. My name is Shirabu Kenjiro, Semi-san." Shirabu gave a soft smile. Even if this boy was very popular, he was very well mannered and kind, so Shirabu had no reason to be anxious around him.
"Cool, have you joined the volleyball club yet? I saw one of your games. You're a really good setter."
Shirabu bowed in his seat. He hadn't expected anyone at Shiratorizawa Academy to notice him, much less compliment him. Every student selected to attend this school had to be extraordinary, whether it be math, science, or the arts. This school was full of the brightest young minds in the entire country. And, somehow, this boy attending that very school had took the time to watch one of his matches and to personally compliment him on his skills as a setter. "O-Oh! Thank you very much!"
This Semi chuckled before saying his goodbyes, patting Shirabu on his head, and walking out of the library. Was Shirabu dreaming or had he just fallen in love? Fallen in love with that boy, none the less?
