Work Text:
So I don't know the name of Penny's daughter (or if there is a name for her daughter) so I'll just be using Avery for the daughter's name. Sorry, but I had no clue what to do with this, and I've taken long enough to do it.
Third-person POV
As it turns out, working at a burger van with people dressed as clowns doesn't make you a lot of money. Which makes dealing with a child pretty hard. Penny loves her daughter with all of her heart, don't get her wrong, but it's hard to take care of her. It's getting close to the end of the month and she's going to have to pay her bills and taxes soon so she's been stressing out at work. Working harder than she would before. It got her boss's attention, but not her coworkers; they didn't suspect anything of it. Also Billie just didn't care. Steve paid pretty close attention to how Penny was acting, to him it was obvious something was up. "Penny my girl" Steve said as he waddled toward Penny while she was on her lunch break. "Oh hi, Steve!" Steve reached under his beanie and pulled out a wad of cash. "Here you go-o, a tip! For dear Penny!" Penny just stared at him, understandably confused. "Sir- I can't just take that-" "Nonsense, Penny. I've picked up on how hard you've been working. I figured you could use the extra cash." While talking his face continuously contorted. Penny took the wad of cash out of Steve's small hands. "Tha-Thank you, sir!" Steve waddled off leaving Penny sitting on the back of the van. He went into his "office" and went out of the front windshield. Yep, that was Steve for you. Going from caring to... Steve in a matter of seconds. After counting the money when she got home, Penny and Avery would be set for a good few months.
