Chapter Text

Kat woke up. She looked at the curtains that we're displayed. Noticing that Raven had left, she looked to see if her lover was here in bed. However he was nowhere to be found.

“Oh… ooh boy. Ok, let’s hope he’s not upset, after all our first time was… ohmygosh I can’t believe that I did it. The kissing. The biting. The sucking. Everything we did. It was… amazing! Ah. Oops. Please tell me he didn’t leave. He’s allowed to live here. It’s my home, he should stay, I mean… I just hope I didn’t make him feel uncomfortable or make him think I was uncomfortable.” Kat talked, she felt really out of place as she looked from left to right, to her surprise, the person came into Kat’s home as he wore only his pants and shoes.

“Hey.” Cole Macgrath, a conduit, called to her as she turned to him. Kat turned red, seeing his muscular build, Kat whimpered as she stared at his tattoos on his arms. Kat and Cole stared, looking at his abs, then stared at his lower area as a ding sound came to Kat. “Ee~~k!!! Co~le!” Kat hid her face, she was red alright, including her ears. Her scream echoed as she shook her head out of control, whined as she realized the situation, Cole just stared for a sec, then shrugged. He grabbed his shirt as he put it on.

“You ok?” Cole spoke, Kat turned to him as she hid part of her face with her cover. “Yeah. After what we did. I can’t get over the fact that WE actually did it.” Kat replied, Cole chuckled, the conduit stretched as he came close to Kat.

“Hey, I’m not going anywhere. Alright?” Cole said, Kat felt relieved as Dusty walked towards Cole, meowing for attention. Cole crouched to the cat as he scratched the cats chin, making Dusty purr. Kat grabbed Dusty, the two staring at Cole as he blinked.

“I know you won’t. Your just that kind of guy.” Kat said, she laughed, in a way that she felt really happy to have met Cole, hoping that her friends, including Raven will get along with the Conduit from another world. Cole thought of the same thing, he knows that not only Kat, but her friends. Raven and Syd we're the people he had met when he came here. Now there are other people that Kat has met during her time. As long as they accept him for who he is, they too can bond with a Conduit.

“So. What do you wanna do, Kitten?” Cole asked, “Hmm… how about…” Kat whispered, Cole listened as she answered. “Oh really. Lets go get some.” Cole said, Kat smiled for a bit until something came to her.

“Hey. Since your staying, how about finding a job? You can make some money and you won’t have to worry about struggling.” Kat suggested. “Huh. Alright. I’ll search for one. If I can make a suggestion, do they happen to have… Couriers?” Cole asked, Kat tilted her head as she and Dusty looked at one another trying to understand what a Courier is.

“Oh! I think I know what you mean. Hang on a sec.” Kat spoke, getting dressed. Cole turned away as he waited. Kat zoomed next to him, Dusty ran towards his partner as Kat smiled so bright.

“So. Ready to go?” “Yeah.” Kat activated her shifting ability, making her and Cole float about.

Thus begins a slice of life of a Conduit and the Gravity Queen. And Friends of course.

Chapter Text

Cole ate his fries, with the job he got at Auldnoir, he did all he can with his savings, he sat upon the top of the building, as he enjoyed his meal, Raven dropped by to see Cole.

“Hey.” Cole added, Raven looked at him, she sat next to the conduit, she eyed the civilians as Xii land next to Cole’s shoulder. The bird eying on his fries, Cole gave him a piece, adjusting the food to make it into his mouth.

Raven looked at this, seeing how Cole treated Xii, she felt a little strange as the conduit and her guardian got along.

“Can I talk to you about someone?” Raven asked, “Sure.” Cole replied, she turned to him, eye to eye.

“It’s about Kat. About that time when I came by and saw the two of you. I want to make sure… You…” Raven tried to find the right words for this talk. Cole stopped eating for a sec. He looked at the civilians, as they walked about, and Chatting.

“I… I’m not even sure. I’m worried to be honest. I remember back then that I was Cocky, arrogant, full of myself when I got these powers. I know I have told you about my stories when you came by, but with me dating Kat… I… I want to get to know more of you and everyone she met. I’m not here to break her heart, or separate from all of you and her. I just…” before Cole could finish, Raven understood this, “I get it. As long as you care for her. It’s good enough for me. We had it rough during our encounters. But during that time, we settled our differences. We worked together, have our moves in sync, it’s as if she was…” Raven stopped for a moment. Cole understood how she felt. The conduit smiled as he stood up.

“I get where your coming from. You have my word, Raven, I’ll stay by her side too.” “That’s nice of you, Macgrath.” Raven smiled a little bit, hiding it from Cole.

“By the way, I couldn’t help but notice how hungry you are.” Cole said bluntly, Raven blushed, growled softly as she stood up and turned away. “Wh-wha? No! It’s…” Raven stuttered, Cole chuckled as Raven glared at the conduit. “Come on. I’m buying.” “What? Macgrath? Why? No one asked you to buy me lunch.” “You coming or what?” “…fine. You win.” Surrendering to the fact of her stomach growling, Cole considered buying her something to eat. Raven kept her composure, deep down she wanted to smile, for the fact that Cole shows his honesty.

“You know, she cares for everyone. No matter what the odds or how the people act, she’s one of a kind.” Raven spoke. This made Cole halted. “Ain’t that the truth.” He said, looking at his hands. “You remember when I told you I got my powers from an accident, right?” “Yeah. But that wasn’t your fault.” “Didn’t stop the people for knowing who caused all of this tragedy. When some guy showed the person responsible for all the lives lost, everything went to hell. Trish walked away from me, she blamed me for killing her sister, Amy. The crowd started to get real angry, wanted my head on a silver platter.” Raven heard this, she turned to him. Hearing all this realized Cole had really had it rough. “Throughout the struggles I became the hero everyone needed. An accidental hero, I made decisions of how I needed to protect Empire City, there we're struggles, losses, the price of getting stronger to prepare the outcome.” Cole spoke, Raven crossed her arms, nodding as she looked at Xii. “Guess you two are different, even though you care for the people, you do what ever it takes. Even though some told you that they are some curse, Those powers are a gift. Don’t ever forget that.” Raven said, Cole heard this, channeling a small spark, he looked at Raven and smiled.

“Thank you. That means a lot.” Cole replied, Raven turned away from him, hiding her blush. “Whatever. Let’s go, your buying right?” Raven spoke in her cool manner. “Sure.” Cole said as Raven flip her hair, showing part of her face, the two heroes head off as another day draws a close.

Cole floated high speed with a bit of help with the lightning teather, and a floating speedy vehicle. The conduit carried a package as he made it to his destination.

An elderly woman waited as Cole delivered the package. “Oh thank you so much, Mr. Electric man, if only there’s more people like you. And you even made it on time too.” The elderly woman said, Cole nodded as he waved back to her.

“Oi! Cole!” Syd called to the conduit, he too was another of Kat’s friends, well maybe? Actually, yes. In some way. When Cole got here, he couldn’t tell if this guy was some weirdo or what. However, there was more to him.

Cole turned to him, the detective gave a welcoming smile as the conduit waited for him to speak. “So what’s up, Syd?” Cole asked, “I see you got yourself a job. I like the jacket you got.” Syd complimented, “I had this for long. There’s a lot of stuff I had in my bag.” Cole said, Syd looked at his sling bag, amazed at how it was carrying the amp, and some assorted items.

“So how are you liking it here so far? Considering that your from another world?” Syd asked in curiosity. “Is there something you want?” Cole asked, Syd got to the point as he shook off the feeling.

“I wanted to see if you wanted to hang. I wanna get to know you more. I mean I’m curious of listening to some stories.” Syd replied, Cole stared at the guy for a moment, then started to chuckle for a bit, the two walked about as a few vehicles flew by.

“You know, you remind me of a really good friend of mine.” “Oh really? What was he like?” “He’s… always been there whenever things seem… down I guess. I mean he’s had my back since. He’s like a brother to me.” Cole stopped for a moment as Syd smiled gently.

“Ah. He must be a real friend, huh? Your lucky you know. To have someone like him.” Syd replied, Cole watched the vehicles passed by, Syd did the same.

“Wonder how he’s doing right now?” Cole asked, Syd looked at him as he too watched the vehicles passed by.

“So… You and Kat.” “Yeah. We’re going out.” “Well. You seem to upset some lovely ladies, y’know.” “I’m not worried.” Syd laughed, Cole felt this feeling. Looking at Syd, the conduit began to see him as another brother. Cole knows Zeke isn’t replaceable, hopefully will find a way for Zeke to join a tour of checking out Endestria, Pleajeune, Auldnoir, Vendecentre. Which ever city he goes. There’s so much to talk about.

One of these days.

“So. Wanna go to Vendecentre after you report back?” Syd asked, Cole shook off his dazed feeling. Turning to Syd, he gave a neutral expression to the white haired detective.

“Fine by me. I’ll let you know when I got things sorted out. My boss seems to like me besides my crappy boss back at Empire City.” Cole said, walking back to his Job.

“Wait… what did your last boss do?” “It’s a long story. Don’t worry about it.” With that said, Cole glided off as Syd watched, scratching the back of his head.

The next day

Cole finished another delivery. As he walked around Vendecentre, he came across Syd yet again. A few officers we're chatting with him as Cole approached the three.

He thought about hanging with Syd that day. Somehow Cole felt a little off when he was near Syd. Sure he has some of his reasons, but looking at the white haired man, it felt as if he should bond with him. Just looking at Syd made him think of Zeke, always there whenever something is happening.

As he made it to Syd and the police officers, they turn to see the conduit as Syd gave a cheerful smile as the officers stared in surprise, wondering what Cole wanted.

“Well, nice to see you, Cole. You finished delivering some stuff for the day?” Syd spoke, the officers recognize the conduit who swoop down the Nevi with a strike of lightning. To think they got to see Cole Macgrath up close.

“Yep, since this was my last delivery, I should be available now.” Cole said, the officers couldn’t believe that he and Syd we're talking like it’s natural.

“That’s good, we could get some drinks and chat. There’s a bunch of things I wanna ask about you.” Syd replied with his signature smile.

“Hey Syd. Have you forgotten already? You have to meet with the commissioner about the assignment.” The first officer spoke, making Syd remember what they we’re discussing. “I still don’t know how you got the promotion, it’s beyond me.” The second officer spoke as Cole blinked.

“I’m about to head back to get my pay. Go on ahead, It won’t take long anyway.” Cole replied, “Alright, then I’ll see you then?” Syd asked, “Yeah. Of course.” Cole said as he flew off.

“He seems like a calm person. I know he has electricity and everything, but…” the second officer stopped before he finished his sentence. “Is there something I’m missing here?” Syd asked, “Well we figure if he’s some kind of god that was planning to destroy the towns and such. It was a rumor that’s all.” The first officer said as Syd looked back at Cole’s position.

“Nah. No way Cole would do that. The people started to worry about the shifters, and look how Kat did for everyone around here. She did what it takes to save the people from that giant Nevi. I’m sure Cole cares for everyone here, just like Kat. I can tell.” Syd spoke, smiling as he acknowledged that Cole is a hero too.

Chapter Text

That day. When the spiked wave of ice struck the Nevi, Yunica couldn’t forget that day. When a large swarm of Nevi was about to wreck havoc around Pleajeune, Cole was about to finish them with one swoop.

Yunica called to him as some civilians we're still around the area. Trying to stop him from doing the unthinkable, Yunica hastened to make sure the civilians get out of the path so they wouldn’t get hurt.

Cole unleashed his Ionic Freeze. Waves of ice came as it froze the Nevi. As it reached the civilians and Yunica, to their surprise, the ice had a mind of its own as it knew the civilians were there. The Ionic Ice is meant to protect civilians, not harm them despite how it looks.

The people looked in awe as the ice protected the people, striking the Nevi where they stand, the ice shatters as the Nevi went along with it. Flakes of ice floated about as the people went amazed at the sight.

Yunica blinked as she looked at the snow. The power that Cole wielded, to think he had two powers at his command, it was amazing.

“You… you protected the civilians with a wave of ice…” Yunica spoke, she still couldn’t believe how Cole was in control with the ice that he made.

“I figure this was a quick solution. Just glad that no one was hurt. After all my waves of ice always protected the civilians, only strikes those who threatened them.” Cole replied, Yunica looked at the ice particles, a snowflake floated about as it flew to another direction.

The ice shattered from left to right as the civilians eyed with amazement, a few children laughed as snowflakes flew around the area. Cole looked at the spiked ice next to him, looking back as he flashback of seeing Kuo.

The agent turned Conduit. With a new makeover and such, even if she gained her powers in a painful way, he hasn’t forgotten about his partner.

“Other than that… you have two. So Sea Kat was telling the truth.” “Of course. The time when I launched myself up in the air, making a big icicle, that was me.” Cole walked to another direction, Yunica was about to ask him about the other wave of Nevi at Endestria, Cole told her that Kat’s got it covered as he head off.

Thinking back from that display, Yunica couldn’t help but remember the snowflake. Cole’s power was extraordinary indeed, dangerous, but he knew what he was doing.

He never try to prove he was better than the shifters, he shared the same mission as the other two, protecting the city.

“Ah, Sea Wasp. Everything ok?” The Sea Slug asked as Yunica turned to her. “Yes, everything’s fine.” Yunica replied, looking back at the city and the civilians.

“You heard of the man that came to Hekseville, yes?” “Cole Macgrath? Of course. We have no records on him, and he seemed to be doing a really good job of helping people around the cities.” “Indeed. With the display he showed me back at Pleajeune, he proved himself as a greater ally.” “He’s not competing with the shifters, is he?” “No. He wants the same thing as the shifters. Protecting the cities from the Nevi. Besides that I heard the two are…” “Goodness. If that’s true, then…” “Well. Truth be told, I kinda…” “Wait, you too, Sea Wasp?” “Huh? No! I… wait a sec! It’s not like that. It’s just… You know.” “Then why are you red all of the sudden?” The Sea Slug giggled, teasing her partner. Yunica was baffled, then shook it off as she kept her cool.

“Honestly, Permet…” Yunica said, walking away as the Sea Slug followed.

“When can I meet this Conduit?” Permet asked, “Who knows. Probably in the near future. He’s a nice guy once you get to know him.” Yunica added, Permet looked at the picture of Cole Macgrath on his status as she smiled.

“I hope so. He seems pretty nice.” Permet said with a gentle smile.

Chapter Text

Raven blinked, eating a glazed donut at the rooftops of Vendecentre, looking at Xii as the crow turned to Cole Macgrath, he was finishing talking with Syd as he patrolled through the next area. Raven followed the conduit as she floated about. The conduit stopped for a moment before he uses his lightning tether, he activated his radar as he turned to Raven’s position.

“Ok, seriously. Are you…” “No! Don’t be ridiculous.” Raven landed next to Cole as the conduit chuckled of her nature.

“Raven, it’s obvious that your spying on me. Probably because of that night.” “True. But still. Anyway, about spotting me easily.” “My radar, it’s just that whenever your presence comes, I feel… a warmth. As if your closer.” “Ah… Macgrath, that’s kinda ridiculous, coming from you.” “Could be. But it’s just a feeling. You don’t hate me, do you?” “Hmph. A stupid question. You know the answer.” Raven turned to Cole, she felt her insignia on her chest, her blue eyes gave a gentle stare. Cole could tell that Raven cared. Not just her tone, but her attitude.

“Raven, I-” “Before you say anything else, I’ll say this. Thank you. For caring for her. Knowing you, the both of you are having a great time with each other.” “Yeah. But you know, you don’t need to go anywhere else, Kat wants you to stay with us. Me and her talked about you staying in her home. Besides, it’s not fun without you.” “Ah… C-C-Macgrath.” Raven's heart raced in excitement, she blushed as Cole stared at her. She flipped her hair as she turned her away. Xii watches as Cole chuckled.

“You… you better not leave us. Including Kat. Honestly your so…” Raven replied, playing with her hair, Cole smirked as he decided to tease her. Then again she might throw Cole into the sky or the depths of the city. He decided not to risk it as Cole patted her.

“Well I’ll catch ya later.” Cole said, waving at the gravity crow user, she turned to him, her heart racing even faster.

‘Kat… No wonder why you trust him. I’m glad that he told me. Being with you two, it never stops. Cole is one of a kind.’ Raven smiled, staring at the Conduit once more, Xii landed on her shoulder, cawing to see how she felt about Cole. “I don’t know, Xii. I’ll tell him when I’m ready.” Raven floated to the sky as she exhaled in happiness.

Chapter Text

Cole stared at some onlookers, staring at him, and Kat. The Gravity Queen licked some Vanilla Ice cream, enjoying the time of their lives.

The next day, the onlookers stared again. Cole stared at them back as they turned away. Kat enjoyed her sweet ice cream, Dusty wanted a taste as Kat shared some with her dear friend.

The third day it still happened again.

The people still stared once again. The conduit groaned as this caught Kat’s attention.

“You ok?” Kat asked, “I know I’ve been here for quite a while, plus a couple of people tend to ignore us supers. But I can’t help feeling that they’re staring at us for some reason. As if I did something wrong…” Cole said, Kat licked her ice cream once more, nearly finished.

“You shouldn’t worry about these things Cole. Besides, they have to know that we’re a couple now.” Kat added as Dusty meowed in agreement. “Well with the old man and his kid bugging me about the both of us dating, I feel as though he must have gossip to the whole town.” Cole replied, Kat comically smiled in a cat like manner, staring at the conduit.

“Is the electric man worried? Come now, you shouldn’t worry about such things. Hehe.” “Well they’re not staring at us in a judgmental way. I say in curiosity, in shock and awe, and some of the others are acting somewhat adoring our relationship.” Cole explained, Kat chewed up her wafer cone as she sighed in delight. “Your not gonna let them make you worry are you? I know your smart… in your own way. But it’s alright. Let them stare as much as they like. I’m not worried.” Kat spoke as she gave a flirtatious smile.

“Oh really? What about…” before Cole could finish, Kat got a glimpse of her “number one fan” as she had comical beady eyes shown, making Cole cocked his eyebrow with his head tilted slightly. “You know what, let’s head this way.” “Kat, wait! Your going too fast.” “No time Cole, Come on!” The two went off as the onlookers watched the two heroes leave.

Raven, on the rooftops watched the two as she stared in a comical dull manner. “What’s with her?” Raven said to herself as she and Xii watched the two.

The next day, at Auldnoir, Cole walked around places to places as he grew accustomed to the stores and such.

As he waited for Kat and Raven to come by, a woman in her twenties approached him. No doubt that she’s two years younger than Cole. She has mid length brunette hair and wore such a stylish clothing, light blue jeans, a black halter top with a jean jacket, high heels and a silver necklace.

“Hey there.” She called to him as the conduit turned to her. “Something I can help you with?” Cole asked, he could see this coming, despite this, he knew this girl was about to flirt with him.

Kat floated down to the ground, looking for Cole as she and Dusty looked left to right. They found him as Kat saw the scene. Some woman was flirting with Cole as she felt her heart in an emotional way.

Kat glared at the woman, she chatted with Cole, looking at the conduit’s face, seemed in a neutral interest. Dusty meowed to his partner as Kat still watched.

“If your not busy or anything, I was thinking… would you like to grab some coffee with me? I would love to get to know the electric man himself.” The woman replied, Cole crossed his arms, closing his eyes gently as Kat tried to understand the situation.

“I’m… sorry. I’m actually waiting for someone. I have to decline your offer.” Cole said in a respectful way, “Wait, there’s someone else?” The woman asked, Cole nodded. “Don’t tell me, is that shifter? You can do better.” That made Cole stare at her. Mentally he was pissed, it made him think if anyone said anything bad about Trish, they would answer to him.

But Cole, calming his mental anger, he looked at the woman once again in a calm manner.

“She is better. No matter how you look at Kat, she means a lot to me. Hell she’s an amazing person. It’s not about looks, or anything like that. It’s what’s in her heart that matters.” Cole said, Dusty meowed softly, turning to his owner.

Kat’s heart raced as she ran to Cole. Hearing all of the compliments she wanted to burst in tears. The audience saw all as the men respected his opinion on the shifter. The women we're in awed of this as Kat passed by them.

As she did, Dusty followed, the shifter wrapped her arms around his as Cole and the woman saw this as Kat smiled big for Cole to see.

“Yep, it’s me. The one and only.” Kat said as the woman was in shock. Cole shrugged as he turned to Kat and then back at the woman.

“We should get going, Sorry again in advance, ma’am.” Cole said as Kat nodded. The two went off as the woman watched. Some of the onlookers we're amazed at Cole’s attitude, the way he had to decline her offer, he proved that he was loyal to the Gravity Queen.

Kat turned her head to see the woman as the shifter gave a devious look, the look on her face saying ‘Nice try’ made the woman groan in defeat. Soon she too will understand

As they made their way to the bench, Cole and Kat sat down as they waited for Raven.

“Hey, Kat, I didn’t wanna-” Kat kissed his cheek as he stared at her in confusion. “It’s fine. I saw what you did.” Kat said as Cole blushed, “Well I had to turn her down respectfully.” He replied, Dusty hopped onto Kat’s lap, staring at Cole.

“Well Mr. Electric man, now that everybody knows, you feel ok with me being with you?” Kat asked, “Well…” Cole stopped as Kat glared at him with angry stoic glare she had given him. He looked at her as she growled in a soft manner.

“Your pretty cute when your angry.” “Ha Ha.” “You can relax, I’ve always been ok being seen with you.” This made Kat happy as she hugged the conduit.

“I see you two are doing well.” Raven appeared as Kat and Cole turned to her. “Finally. Now that she’s here, it’s time we get some of that ice cream.” Kat shouted, “it’s always sweets with you two, huh?” Cole asked, “You should see how she eats.” Raven added, making her and Cole laugh.

“Hey…” Kat pouted as Cole patted her head, cheering her up, the three enjoying the rest of the day.

Chapter Text

“Alright, with this disguise, you should be able to infiltrate the new gang that’s causing a bit trouble. Unlike the snakerabbit gang, these guys caused a couple of trouble around the few areas.” “This better work. Otherwise I’d be da*n that this might be the worst idea ever.” “Cmon, Cole. Kat got to do this thanks to Syd, so might as well make the best of it.” “Chaz… you of all people need to know these guys mean business.” “So do you. I’ve seen you fight. And you pack a punch with or without the amp.”

Cole wore a different attire. A jacket with thin stripes on the side of the arms, the color scheme was the same but a little bright. A beige gray pants with yellow stripes, grey shoes, and to top it off, a bandanna mask to cover the face. “Well, let’s do this.” Cole said as Syd walked to the two.

“Cole? What are you…” Syd stopped for a moment as the conduit stared dead on at the detective. “Don’t bother asking. I was expecting that your familiar with the mission I’m doing for Chaz.” Cole replied, “Oh. Wait, your going to infiltrate the new gang that’s causing trouble?” Syd exclaimed as Cole and Chaz stared at him dead on.

“I’m all set anyway. I should be able to get info on them with my phone. With that, you should be able to hear all the confessions they did.” Cole explained as Syd stroked his chin. “Alright then. We’re counting on you, Cole. And be careful. Their leader isn’t pretty smart as he looks. If he catches on to you, then this mission is a complete failure.” Chaz said.

As Cole nodded, Kat floated down to the three as she stared at Cole’s new attire. The two stared as Chaz and Syd blinked for a moment.

“Cole?” “Yeah?” “Are you…” “Don’t ask. This was Chaz’ idea.” “Chaz? So this isn’t part of Syd’s ridiculous schemes?” “No… wait a sec. What do you mean?” Kat was about to explain but was stopped by Chaz as he rushed the conduit. “No time, let’s go! The gang we're spotted just now.” Chaz yelled as Cole hustled to the gang’s location.

“I dunno about this. The outfit though…” Kat muttered, staring at Cole and his disguise.

“Now he’s taking my ideas for granted. And how are my schemes ridiculous?” Syd asked as no one else was here.

A couple of hours went by. As if time went fast, Kat paced back and forth, waiting for Cole to return. Dusty stared at his partner, the guardian stared like a curious cat, swinging his tail as Kat continued to pace.

“What’s taking him?” Kat muttered, as she stopped, she heard civilians screaming as she readied herself and Dusty to protect the people.

The two made it to Vendecentre, there Cole shot magnum bolts at the Nevi, powerful than regular bolts he used, as he extinguish them, a few more spawn around the conduit, Kat with quick thinking, used her black hole ability, sucking the Nevi as they disintegrate into the technique.

With the Nevi wiped out, Kat and Cole turned to each other as Kat stared at the same outfit he is wearing for undercover.

“How can you still see with this covered around your face?” Kat asked, Cole shrugged, the conduit sighed as the gang came out to see that the Nevi we're wiped.

“You guys see this? The guy has the same powers as that electric man!” The skinny member shouted in disbelief, “Because that guy IS the electric man you idiot. No mistake that’s his girl, the gravity queen, and the fact that the bandanna he’s wearing to cover his face, I figure he was hiding something from the beginning.” The leader spoke, the gang wore similar outfit as Cole, minus the bandanna covering Cole’s face.

“Hold up guys, there’s no need to get violent.” Kat replied to calm the gang down. The big brawn of the group approached the two as Cole and Kat readied themselves. “What should we do then boss?” The brawn member asked, “I say we give em what for. Even if the Electric Man is a liar, he’s getting what’s coming to him.” The regular build member spoke, the leader watched as Cole cracked his knuckles, Kat got into her stance as the two readied themselves for a fight.

Before the brawn member could do anything, the police force arrived as the crew stopped and put their hands up before anything else happened.

As everything settled, Cole took off his bandanna from his face, sighing as he explained the police his undercover work. With Chaz on his side of his story, everything was clear.

Cole walked towards Kat, the girl tapped her foot as she was getting impatient. Cole yawned as Kat waited for his explanation.

“Well, you can’t blame the leader, he was smarter than I expected. I got him to confess to all the vandalism he and his group committed before my identity was revealed.” Cole said, “I was worried, you know. They’re way different from the snakerabbit gang. I disbanded the group when I became leader, Kish and the others were reformed. I hope this group will reform as well.” Kat replied, “The leader, after they took him and the others we talked. He said he wanted to change for what they did. From what I did to save them from the Nevi. Besides that, the looks on their faces was priceless.” Cole added, Both he and Kat laughed as Chaz walked towards the two.

“Well done, Chance. I mean Cole. Looks like the leader promised that he won’t cause the vandalisms around here now. He disbanded the group as he said himself. Huh… feels somewhat familiar.” Chaz said, Kat turned away, shrugged.

“All’s well that ends well, as they say.” Kat replied, “You go on ahead, Kat. I’ll catch up with you later.” Cole called, “Alright, ‘Chance’. I’ll see you then.” The Gravity Queen teased, Kat waved as she and Dusty floated about.

Cole turned to Chaz, he took a look at his bandanna, then looking towards Chaz. “They’re gonna change, right?” “Who knows. If the leader said that he wants to change then so be it. They’ll be fine once they do some time. Oh, the big guy wanted to apologize for trying to… well you know. The gang members we're just shook from all this.” “That’s true, and I don’t blame them. Chaz, if your not busy, why not hang and have a drink?” “Haha… that’s awfully nice of you, Cole. I assume Syd might join as well?”

Cole and Chaz chatted about. The mission was a success, and other than that, another guy to chat with.

Chapter Text

Cole and Kat chatted of Kat’s battle with the giant Nevi that the General and the scientist unleashed for the sake of the world.

“Da*n. And you guys stopped them too before anyone was killed.” Cole said, “I just can’t believe that the General would use Nevi as a weapon for their selfish desire.” Kat replied.

“I don’t blame him. All there is to military guys is power. If only they understand the consequences…” Cole looked at his electric spark. Kat stared at his chin, looking at the little fuzz as she touched his fuzz with her finger.

“Uh…” it’s all Cole could say. “It’s so fuzzy.” Kat laughed, making Cole stared at her in confusion. “I forgot to shave.” Cole bluntly spoke, Kat stopped for a bit, Dusty looked at the two, the cat meowed as Kat picked him up.

“It’s not a big deal. After all, shaved or not, your pretty attractive.” Kat said, giggling softly, teasing the conduit. “Huh… your right. Although Kuo and Nix didn’t say much but… I guess they showed how much they… What?” Cole stopped for a moment, Kat gave him a jealous look on her face, her eye lids dimmed, giving him the straight face as she stared hard at the conduit.

“What?” “You know what. Did you really think I wouldn’t know? Cole, what do they have that I don’t?” “Ah, hey now, Kat. There’s no need to-” “Uh-uh. What makes them so special, huh?” “Oh boy…” Cole stared at the girl as she still gave him the straight face. Some of the townsfolk stared at the scene, and Cole sees this as he thinks this through.

He used his lightning tether, heading up to the building as Kat expressed a shock look on her face. “Cole! Come back!” Kat shouted, She and Dusty went after him, Cole did his best to avoid her as he could.

The next day…

“And that’s why I have two powers.” Cole said, explaining to a couple of people at Aujean’s ice cream shop.

“You think that you only have one power. But two? That’s crazy!” Aujean spoke. “Be as it may, it was me and Nix’s idea at the beginning. Kuo did want to destroy the machine but changed her mind.” Cole explained.

“What would you do if you chose the fire girl?” Eugie asked, “Yeah Cole… what would you do exactly?” Kat spoke as she appeared behind Cole. “The opposite. If I remember correctly, I can drain the life force in every one of you right now.” Cole replied, Aujean and Eugie stared in shock, the same with the other people that was interested in the story.

“Oh. That would be scary.” Eugie said, “Exactly. I’m just glad I chose this path.” Cole said, turning to Kat, “I’m convinced. But if I was with you I would have let you share my powers. Electricity and Gravity. That would be the day.” Kat suggested, with a smile.

“We don’t need another shifter. Two of you are enough.” Aujean replied, “C’mon pops. It wouldn’t hurt being a half and half.” Cole spoke, eating his chocolate ice cream.

“Me and Raven would love to see that one day. Maybe you’ll have an animal guardian of your-” “Nononono No! I don’t wanna hear it, you two go on with your date. Talk about something else.” Aujean interrupted as Cole and Kat went off, staring in confusion.

“Honestly. That Macgrath. Although… it wouldn’t hurt having a third shifter like him around. He’s more professional.” Aujean said, “Electric man? He’s not all that bad. Don’t you think, papa?” Eugie asked, “Eh? You fond of the guy too, son?” Aujean asked. “Yeah. I mean… seeing him the first time taking on the Nevi, especially with Kat, he’s amazing.” Eugie replied back, making Aujean chuckle a bit.

“Well then, let’s hope he stays here for the time being. Seeing him with Kat… that shifter seems to be very fond of him as well.” Aujean said, smiling at the two as Kat laughed, Cole shaking his head as he and Kat talked.

The two talked and talked, they did their heroic routines, as they did the two relaxed up the rooftops of Hekseville, Kat watched the floating vehicles, then turned to Cole.

The conduit living here from another world. Real or not, he’s here in Hekseville, alive. Staring at the conduit, she shifted her torso, reaching under his chin, scratching it like she would do to Dusty. Cole stared in confusion, trying to understand what she was doing.

“Kat?” Cole spoke, Kat stopped for a sec as she gave a comical look towards him. “Wha…? Sorry about that.” Kat replied, laughing nervously. Dusty meowed at Kat, the girl shifted her torso, staring back at the moving vehicles floating by.

“Of all the people, I happen to be lucky to be here. A million Cole Macgrath’s and I happen to be lucky to come here.” Cole said, “Well with everything, I’m glad that you came here. Hey. Remember the time that I came to that competition? So many others that I have fought, met and even if they’re strange, it was…” Kat pondered, “Wacky? Weird, but somewhat once in a lifetime epic? Yeah. I can stick with fighting monstrous conduits. But… meeting others like you was worth it. A lot. If I didn’t come to join the competition, I would have never…” Cole looked at his bandaged fingers, Kat and Dusty looked at the conduit once more, the electric spark shot out a bit, as the powers calmed down,

“Well in all honesty, I would have thought the same thing. I felt the same way when I entered the contest. The worlds I have seen, the heroes, villains, talking cats, dogs, I mean it was exciting to see other places besides my world.” Kat replied, Cole took a look at the beautiful shifter, the dark tanned girl, with strange clothing, the face shows as if she was made to be queen, but to Cole, she was more than just some girl. A woman who is courageous, heroic, strong, not afraid to show her feelings towards others, Cole wondered how Kat thinks of him everyday.

As long as he stays true to himself, surely Kat still cares for him as she cares for Raven and Syd.

“Ok. Back to the subject. Lucy Kuo. And Nix. Are they prettier than I am? Have one of them try any moves on you?” Kat spoke, giving Cole a comical teasing stare, Cole stared back at her with a stern look, knowing that this will be a long day.

Chapter Text

“No.” “Cole, please?” “I said no. Besides, I gotta save up.” Kat and Cole went back and forth, what they been debating you might ask? Something had caught Kat’s eye.

“Cole, if you won’t offer, I’m going to be really angry. Really, really, angry with you.” “Your bluffing. You never get angry.”

Cole packed up his amp on his backpack, turning around he sees Kat. Staring at the conduit with a angriest glare she could give. She tapped her foot as she glared. Cole blinked for a moment, this was rare for Kat to be angry at the conduit. Usually at Syd sometimes, but not towards Cole.

“My answer is still no.” Cole said in a stern voice, as Kat stomped her foot and she turned away. This made Cole realized what he had done. “Hmph. Fine.” Kat replied as she shifted all by herself. Cole watched as she and Dusty went off, Cole blinked for a moment, shaking his head. “Maybe I should…” Cole asked himself as he scratched his head.

Another day passed by as Cole had decided on his decision.

“Kat?” Cole called, Kat finished her hair as she looked at the conduit. She glared once more, she huffed in anger as she walked past him. The two were outside the sewer pipe as Cole shrugged, he remembered yesterday that Kat was mad for many hours. Luckily she didn’t have to tell Raven. Or Yunica.

Throughout the day, she ignored Cole, except for Dusty. Syd came towards Cole to see what it was about as they hung around, eating some lunch.

“She just got angry because I wouldn’t buy it.” “I see. Knowing Kat, she won’t be satisfied if you get her the limited time offer. You know she’s…” “I know. Da*n this sucks. So I have to get it before it’s gone.” “Exactly. Your her boyfriend after all. It’s your job to make her happy, y’know. Cole, don’t waste this opportunity to let that happiness go away.” “Well… your right about one thing, Syd. I’ll go ahead and get it before it’s gone. After all, she’s a big eater. Not in a bad way.” With that said, Cole went to find Kat.

Back at Vendecentre, Cole found Kat, she turned to Cole, glaring at the conduit once more as she puffed her cheeks, still angry at the conduit. Cole sighed, not wanting her not only to be angry, but she’ll be really upset if this limited time offer went away.

Kat glanced at the conduit with her eyes dimmed with anger. “Hmph.” Is all Kat said

“Look. I decided. Let’s go buy it.” Cole said as Kat chirped in excitement as she turned to him.

“You Will?!” Kat asked excitedly. “Yeah. If you want it that badly, it wouldn’t hurt.” Cole replied with a small smile. Kat tackled the conduit, forcing him to float with her, Kat hugged Cole, embracing her partner.

“Yay!!! Ok let’s hurry.” Kat shouted excitedly as she grabbed his arm. “Wait, what?” “Hang on.” Kat soar up in the air with her gravity shift as Cole flies with her at top speed. With Kat beaming with excitement they went to the district to buy an item that Kat caught her eye on.

A few hours later…

No doubt they just made it in time to order the limited time special.

“Ooh I can’t wait!” Kat said, Cole put the box on the table, he opened it as a chocolate cake with decorative dots displayed to the two. Dusty looked at the cake, Cole also bought ice cream for the occasion, Kat looked in curiosity as she blinked.

“So what’s the ice cream for?” Kat asked, “What? You never have something like this before? Well… I figured we try a ice cream and cake combo. I'm guessing you haven’t done it so why not give it a shot? I got bowls for us to use so let’s enjoy it.” Cole said as Kat nodded.

Cole set the dessert up for him and Kat, the two enjoyed the sweet dessert as Kat combined the ice cream and cake, eating the two together as she moaned in delight.

“It’s so good! The double layers made it so delicious! Not only that, the ice cream suited it way better than I expected!” Kat shouted excitedly as Cole chuckled. “I told you. You don’t know what your missing.” Cole added, Dusty meowed, getting Cole’s attention. The conduit offered Dusty a piece as the cat ate the delicacy.

“And here I thought it’s just regular chocolate. But… this isn’t any chocolate I have ever tasted. This premium stuff isn’t half bad.” Cole said, Kat munched another piece as Dusty stared at Cole’s bowl of dessert.

“Thank you, Cole. I really mean it.” Kat said as she went up to Cole and hugged him. “Kat…” Cole simply said as she looked at him like a curious cat. “I never wanted to make you angry. It’s just that… I wanted to save up money. But then when you think about it…” “We live down the sewers. I don’t think we have to worry about money. Unless…” He shook his head and smiled. “Does it matter though?” Kat asked as she laughed, hugging the conduit.

“Let’s share this with Raven. Can’t leave her out of this, y’know.” Cole suggested, Kat giggled as she agreed. “Yeah! Definitely. Come on, Let’s go find Raven, she’s gonna love this.” Kat said as she and Cole head off.

On the side note from all this, in Cole’s mind, He hoped that this won’t happen again, even if her angry face was a little cute. Kat is Kat after all.

Mini sidestory

Zeke Dunbar, a man of action as they say. Drinking some beer as he watched some tv. There he sees Cole and Kat floating towards the rooftop.

“Hey, Cole! How you two lovebirds doing?” Zeke asked, “Eh, the usual. We just came to see how your doing.” Cole replied, “Nothing much, which reminds me. We should hack the big screen for others to enjoy some good tv, right?” Zeke asked. “Like what exactly?” Kat asked, “Ah right. Well… this show for example. It’s a classic.” Zeke said, showing Kat a vintage cartoon.

“Ohh. Seems like they can enjoy a thing for… cartoons?” Kat replied, examining the cartoon. “Well go on ahead, I’ll do my usual thing.” Zeke said, the two heroes head off as Cole demonstrated Zeke’s skills.

As Cole used his powers onto a couple of satellite dishes, the tv’s started to project a different cartoon as the civilians eyed the cartoon. Some laughed, some we're confused, children laughed about as Syd spotted Cole and Kat.

“What are those two doing?” Syd asked as Cole and Kat head off.

Zeke dranked his beer as he gave a chuckle. “I still got it. Now everyone around this universe can get a chuckle out of these good vintage cartoons.” He said as he rested on the couch.

Chapter Text

Cole dug around his backpack. He found his wallet, knowing that his money from his universe is useless. His card, receipts and such we're here. He kept looking as he found a spare phone. In case his was lost during his time on his own.

“Hey! Whatcha doing?” Kat sung as she laughed. Cole turned to her as she sees the phone.

“What’s that?” “My cellphone. I used these to communicate with my friends back home. Probably useless here.” “Hmm… you have your original phone right now, I can use the spare. We can talk anytime if we’re far and about. I’ll see if Syd can make this work for us.” “You sure, Kat? You don’t want this phone. Besides it’s” “Its fine. I… I want to try calling you. See what it’s like.” Cole shrugged as he hand his spare phone to Kat.

“I’ll catch ya later!” Kat shouted as she went off.

A few hours, Syd examined the phone as Kat tapped her foot. Impatiently for Syd to operate the phone.

“Is it done yet?” “Close, you gotta give me some time with this. If your planning on calling Cole with it, it’s got to have- oh here we go.” Syd tinkered with the phone, as he got the phone set up, he assembled it as he handed it to Kat.

“Great! With this I can call Cole anytime we’re far away.” Kat said, “Ah I see. So you two can communicate like walkie talkies. Of course we have phones, we really gotta have things like he has for modern generations.” Syd replied. “So… how do I…” Kat looked at the contacts, she found the list of the names on there. “Zeke… Trish… Amy… Warren… spare phone. Oh. Here we go.” Kat found the contact as she called it.

“How many people are on his list?” Syd asked himself.

The phone rung as Cole felt the vibration. “My phone is ringing?” Cole spoke, “That’s a phone? I was wondering what that was.” Raven replied, Cole answered as the phone beeped.

“Hello?” Cole replied, Kat turned red, she didn’t know what to say, she clenched her new phone and spoke. “Hey.” Kat said, Cole and Raven we're surprised to hear Kat’s voice. “All right, it worked!” Syd shouted through the phone. “Syd! Not too loud.” Kat shouted, “Kat, you got Syd to help you with the spare phone?” Cole asked, “Yeah. Now that it’s operational, we can talk whenever we like, in case of how far we are.” Kat said as Cole smiled.

“That’s pretty interesting. How come she gets one?” Raven spoke, “Hey Raven! Your with Cole?” “Unfortunately I am. I… I lost a bet.” “Oh really? Wait did you two fight?” “No, Kat. Honestly…” Cole chuckled as she dimmed her eyes, staring at him. “It’s best that you don’t know. Besides we're on our way to see you two. Will be there in a bit, Kat.” “Ok, I’ll see you then. Love you.” “Heh. Love you too.” As the two hung up, Kat realized what she said, turning to Syd, he couldn’t help but smile. “Well then, I guess my work here is done.” Syd said as Kat turned away. She eyed at the phone, blinking as she had a conversation with Cole.

“Really…” Raven added, making Cole look at her. “Sorry.” “It’s fine, electric man.” The two started to go to the next town where Kat is at, ready to show off her new phone.

Right back at Hekseville, Kat stared at her new phone. She toyed with the device to see what other features it had until she found the camera section. Kat stared as she smiled with joy. She took a picture of the flying vehicles, to her surprise she took a picture of Dusty, then the civilians, she enjoyed the phone as Raven dropped by. Kat took a photo of Raven as the shifters blinked for a moment.

“I see your enjoying your new phone.” Raven said, Kat smiled brightly to her loyal friend, “The phone has a camera mode. This is so cool!” “Kat, you get too excited, your face might get stuck like that.” “Come on, Raven. This is the coolest thing I ever got from Cole. Maybe you like to have one too.” Raven turned to Kat, shrugged as she gave a small smile. “I like that. I guess.” Raven spoke.

“There you two are.” Cole called, wearing his undershirt and cargo pants, with tabi shoes in the mix. “You changed to a different shirt?” Raven asked, “Yeah. I’m practicing my parkour. I wanted to do some without using powers.” Cole replied, “Cole!” Kat called to him as he turned to the gravity queen. She took the picture of the conduit as she giggled.

“Gotcha.” Kat said, “I see you found the camera feature.” Cole spoke, Kat nodded. “Well Cole, looks like you got her tranced with the phone.” Raven replied to the conduit, “Well it can’t be helped. She wanted a phone, she got it.” Cole said, walking away. However he was stopped by Raven as she used her Gravitational hold on him as she gently placed Cole next to Kat.

Mini story

“Hey Kat, Raven, how’s it… uh… you two ok?” Cole spoke as the two shifters turned to the conduit with a dull comical expression. “It’s Kuo and Nix. They can’t even decide what we wanna go hang to chow down. How do you put up with them arguing?” Kat asked, “It’s like they really hate each other.” Raven said, “We just settled this and yet... ugh.” Cole shook his head as Kuo and Nix argued.

“I say we should try the joint across there, they’s got the better flavor, you can even ask Raven.” “Nix, please. There’s no way that I’m spending that much just because they’re “really good,” The place at Vendecentre has some delicious food than over where we’re at right now.” The two continue arguing as the three watched.

“Ok, you know what, let’s ask Kat and Raven. What would they consider?” Kuo replied, both her and Nix turned to Kat and Raven as they we're put on the spot.

Uh… it doesn’t matter. We can still enjoy the food around here. Eh… Cole, why don’t you tell your friends that… Cole?” Kat spoke, she turned to find that Cole had left. Cole on the other hand did his best not to be in the middle, the four heroines turned to see Cole as he caught up with Zeke, Syd and Chaz. To the ladies disbelief, the three of them shouted as Cole winced from the shouting. Raven watched as Syd and Chaz drank their beverages, watching the scene.

Kat puffed her cheeks as Cole looked away as Zeke drank his beer. “I still don’t see how you two are going out. Despite the fact that I’m the only one for him…” Nix mumbled, Kat and Cole turned away from seeing eye to eye.

“I still don’t get it either. But…” Raven mumbled as well, now understanding how Kuo and Nix got the affection of Cole Macgrath.

A few hours later, the situation was settled. Thanks to Cole and Kat, they decided to get one of each as Kuo chewed on some meat skewers, enjoying the flavor of the meat.

“Ok, I have to admit, Nix. This is delicious.” Kuo spoke, “Told ya. Not gonna lie about this burger though. Dis stuff is da*n good, yeah?” Nix said, Raven took a bite of her food, staring at the two conduits.

“So how much did it cost to order the batch?” Zeke asked, “to be honest, I rather not ask. You try treating the two everyday and you tell me.” Syd complained, “What was that, Syd?” Kat turned to the men as Syd and Zeke turned the other way.

“Probably shouldn’t have said that.” Chaz replied so the girls wouldn’t hear. “Oh, would you look at the time. I should be getting back to work. Come on Chaz, we shouldn’t keep the commissioner waiting.” Syd spoke, shoving Chaz as they did what they can to escape. “Hey wait! What’s the rush, Syd?” Chaz asked, realizing this, he sees Kat’s glaring daggers at Syd. “Oh right. I completely forgotten, gotta go.” Chaz spoke softly as Zeke gave signs to Cole, saying they should head off. Cole agrees as they walked away to another direction.

“I swear, one of these days I’m… Cole? Zeke?” Kat scanned the area, spotting the two from afar as she chase after them. “And where are you two going?” Kat asked, Raven, Kuo and Nix watched as Cole and Kat talked about.

“Looks like will be here for a while.” Zeke said, shaking his head. “Are they always like this?” Kuo asked, “Not unless your his boyfriend. Either way, it gets lively.” Raven replied, “You have to feel the same way towards him as we do, you’se must have.” Nix teased, “Macgrath? No way…” Raven said, keeping her cool. “I dunno man.” Nix added, smiling at the shifter.

Cole and Kat chatted about as the days go by.

Chapter Text

Raven was on her way to see Kat and Cole. As she got to Kat’s home, she wondered if there’s a chance for a sale for something to bite on, of course Cole would reluctantly pay for lunch. As always, Cole did a lot for the two, Raven got to bond more with the conduit, despite the fact that he’s not like Syd, she chuckled as she shook her head.

“Wait, Cole! I… ahh…” Kat stuttered, Raven halted as she listened, “What? It was your idea.” Cole replied, Dusty meowed, sounding like he agreed with Cole.

“But still. What if…” “Hey, it’s just us, after all it's not like anyone would notice.” Raven blushed, hearing the chatter from the two. “Are they seriously doing it again? That guy… I swear he’s going to-” before Raven could finish, Dusty meowed in surprise as some bright bluish light.

“C-Cole! Ahh!” “Don’t move so frantically, Kat. I got you. Trust me.” Raven listened in as Kat yelped, The black and red haired girl blushed, listening in as she remembered walking in on the two. When Raven thought Kat was in danger, she didn’t hesitate. She saw the two, together, Seeing Kat’s shadow was different. Is as though she wanted this. But as she watched the two, she felt her heart race, as if she felt she needed to intervene. However, seeing the person that Kat has fallen in love with, Raven felt a connection as well.

Shaking her head out of her trance she decided to barge in. “What’s going on here?!” Raven shouted, the two turned to her as Cole was holding Kat and Dusty with his kinetic energy, floating in the air, nearly above the Conduit’s head. Raven stared blankly, followed by Kat’s innocent stare, Cole’s dull expression, and lastly, Xii and Dusty getting the three’s attention.

“Macgrath… Kat… what is this?” Raven spoke, staring at the Gravity Queen. “I wanted to see how he uses his kinetic pulse. He can actually carry me and Dusty.” Kat said as Cole set the two down, to Kat’s surprise as she landed.

“Macgrath… what ever she gets you into situations like these, try not to make it sound like your doing… things.” Raven spoke, “Wait, we weren’t doing… that…” Cole said in a embarrassed tone. “We didn’t have-” Kat stopped as she was going to say the word.

“How about some ice cream?” Cole spoke, changing the subject. “Yeah! Sounds great!” Kat cheered, Raven smiled as she grabbed Cole’s hand. “Good enough for me. Your buying.” Raven replied, Kat followed as the three went to get ice cream.

“Ooh! Ooh! You have to show me your gravitational blast next! Is it true that you can make anything float just by blasting away? Just like me and Raven’s Stasis Field?” Kat asked, “It’s… uh… almost something like that. Wait I thought my Kinetic Pulse was similar to your Stasis Field.” Cole replied.

Raven stared at the two. Now curious of his abilities that he holds. “This includes the lightning and ice moves can be changed out of whim?” She asked as Cole nodded.

Outside on top of a building at Endestria, Cole readied himself with his powers in play, Kat and Raven got front row seats as Cole shot his classic alpha bolt he always had. Switching to another, he shot out three little electric particles: The pincer bolt, onto the next, he shot out the artillery bolt, and then the magnum bolt.

“Whoa. All of those lightning bolts you shot are way different than I expected. So cool!” Kat cheered, Raven shook her head on Kat acting childish. She couldn’t help but smile. The two resumed to watch as Cole summoned small ice particles and shot out the ice blast, Raven was convinced. Seeing different powers made her think if Cole is stronger than she expected, then she could do the same as well, especially Kat.

Kat was amazed as Cole shot out his different Rocket upgrades, Kat walked toward the conduit. She was very impressed on seeing the multiple powers, she envied Cole but she knows that she’s stronger in her own ways.

“Ok. I’m convinced Mr. Show-Off.” Kat teased, “So you are. Have I charmed you enough?” Cole teased back, “I dunno… somewhat.” Kat smiled in a flirting manner. Cole crossed his arms, smirking as he chuckled. Raven set her hand on her hips, staring at the two. They stopped as they turned to Raven.

“What about you?” Cole asked, Raven stared at Cole, she walked towards him as she crossed her arms. “Depends.” She simply said, Raven flew off, Kat walked next to Cole, smiling as the two watched Raven head off.

“I think she was impressed.” “Oh really?” “Sure, it’s obvious that she liked what she sees.” Kat laughed as she and Cole head off.

Mini sidestory

Cole set up a mat for the girls. As he only wore a black undershirt and sports pants with his tabi sports shoes, Kat and Raven came out with different looks. The two wearing sleeveless sports shirts that show the tummy area with their own color scheme: Kat had a dark grey shirt as Raven had a Black. Yoga pants and tennis shoes to match. What Cole got a glimpse was how curvy they looked on the shifters, however, Kat’s and Raven’s hips had never looked better. Kat caught him starring as she gave him a flirtatious look, giving him a view as she tied her hair. Cole turned away as Kat giggled softly.

Raven tied her hair as Cole looked at her also. She eyed at the conduit as she shook her head, keeping her usual look. As Raven finished first, Xii landed onto Cole’s shoulder as Syd came by.

“And what’s he doing here?” Raven asked, “He… wanted to join, I told him it would be a bad idea.” “Hey, your the one who told me to ‘hit the gym,’ you and your sarcasm.” Cole rolled his eyes from Syd’s remark as he did his stretching.

As everyone did the routines, Cole did a couple of squats, Kat, Raven and Syd followed along.

The second workout was pull ups for Cole and Syd, with the detective struggling a bit.

Kat and Raven did splits, part of their yoga training. Dusty and Xii watched the two as Cole did some crunches. But somehow, Syd tried to figure out how Kat and Raven do the splits easily. But without thinking he did the splits as his reflex caught up to him, feeling the pain from between.

“Syd, you ok?” Kat asked, Cole winced from the pain that Syd displayed.

A few hours later and a few ice bags, the exercising was done as the four rested. Kat, Raven and Syd drank their waters to regain energy as Cole drank hot water for some reason as a craving, causing Kat to stare in curiosity. She made a face as she shrugged it off.

Chapter Text

“Alright, what do you guys have for us exactly?” Cole asked, a couple of students we're gathered together, Kat stood next to Cole.

“Well for starters, we want to thank you both for doing your best out there. So we decided to make posters, so everyone will know the heroes that protect us from the Nevi.” A female student spoke as two posters showed Cole on top of the building of the Clocktower. Another Poster of Kat and Dusty floating about at Pleajeune. The two looked at the poster, making Cole go nostalgic just looking at it.

“Wow, I can’t believe you all did this. What do you… Cole?” Kat stared at the Conduit, he took off his bag, and started to unzip it open. “This brings me back, from Empire City. I got a bunch of stuff in here, so gimme a sec to find them.” Cole replied, the students watched as Cole dug in to find his stuff.

“Got it.” Cole said, pulling out two old posters from his bag and set them up for others to see. One poster showed Cole holding up a lightning bolt, as a patriot of Empire City with people looking above as there’s hope. Another poster, showing Cole with a skull on the side, smiling wickedly, with the city in the palm of his hand.

“Cole? You never told me they made posters for you.” Kat said, “they didn’t do it. I thought I share this with you guys.” Cole added as Kat looked at the evil version of the poster. “So why did you have this one?” She pointed as Cole pointed to the poster.

“To remind me that there are choices. Power can do a lot to a person. If I wasn’t a good guy, you see me in a different way.” Cole said, the students understood this, Raven stood on the building, listening to Cole. Her and Xii looked at Kat as she tilted her head.

“So you also had a hard time trying to be a hero. Despite the people that we're scared of you?” One of the male students asked. “Yep, they even try to pelt me, and lash out at me, I don’t blame them.” Cole said softly.

The students listened in as Cole was some storyteller, Raven felt if the people here did these things to her and Kat, being shifters and all, Raven could have the same treatment like Cole. “So you kept that poster to remind you of something?” “Yeah. This power can control me. Sometimes I forget. Then, looking back at the heroic deeds, I stayed for who I am. The people that I saved during the subway, treated me like family. I never forgot that day.” Cole said as Students spoke all at once, cheering, spoke positive as Kat smiled, Dusty meowed as Cole put up the posters he took out. Raven smiled, she listened to every detail of the story, she too knows that she’ll do her very best, just like Kat.

“So mister electric man, we also wanna know… are you and the Gravity Queen da-” “Oh hey! Look at the time. Kat we gotta get to this… thing. We can’t let them wait this long.” “Eh? Wait what thing? Are you worried that you and I are dating?” With that said from Kat, Cole blushed in embarrassment, the students we're surprised to hear this as everyone started asking questions about the two. Raven covered her mouth, hiding her stiffed laugh.

“Yes, we’re dating. Wasn’t sure how I should… Nah I’ll keep my mouth shut.” “No need to be shy about it.”

Raven watched the two as the day went by once again.

(And don’t worry, Kat’s number one fan isn’t in this story, I assure you.)

Mini Sidestory

“Why are we here again?” Cole asked, “Beats me, hell Kat and Kuo told us to wait as the girls gone and change.” Zeke replied, “I’m sure that this get together to the beach must be the reason for the girls to make our jaws drop.” Syd said, “Oh I’m sure. Can’t believe you invited me for this, Syd.” Chaz said, “Hey you needed this. Otherwise you be dealing with a shock to the system. Literally.” Cole remarked, as the four waited at the changing area, the guys drank their beverages, watching the seagulls fly by.

“Ok! We’re ready!” Kat yelled, the four turned to her as she dressed in a black skirtkini with her emblem shown on the skirt. Of course she has black bikini bottoms with the skirt so it’s a nice fit for the Gravity Queen. She added some glasses on top of her head as an accessory, and gold bracelets to match. “So~ what do you think?” Kat asked, Dusty hopped onto Cole’s shoulder as he meowed. I “Well… uh… wow. I mean… Hey Cole, what do you think of Kat’s swimsuit?” Syd asked, smiling in a comical manner, Zeke and Chaz turned to him as Cole stared at the shifter. She struck a sexy pose as Cole nodded as he gave a sly smile.

“Kat, we agree to come out together. Yet you just want to show off.” Kuo spoke, she showed off her actual bikini, a dark grey, and cool bluish bikini fitting her natural color thanks to her being a conduit. Syd turned bright red, looking at the agent in her swimsuit.

“Your starting to drool, Syd.” Chaz teased in a dull comical manner, “Eh, who’s drooling?” Syd sarcastically spoke, “Well I ain’t one to complain, da*n Kuo, you look stunning! You got the style alright.” Zeke commented, making Kuo smiled a bit. “I agree. It suits you, Kuo. Heh. Didn’t know you had it in you.” Cole said, checking out Kuo. Dusty meowed to the conduit, trying to let Cole know that Kat is watching him still. To his surprise, Kat and another individual pinched his cheeks as Cole stared at the individual in a dull manner.

“Please, your being modest, Macgrath. I still don’t know why you got us into this, Kat. This is… embarrassing.” Raven said, setting her hands on her hips as she showed her swim dress. A black swim dress with red stripes to match, with her emblem on the chest area. Cole couldn’t stop looking at her bare luscious thighs. The conduit smirked at this as Raven glared. Xii cawed as he landed next to Cole as well.

That made Kat puffed in jealousy. “Cole!” Kat shouted, getting his attention. Syd, Chaz and Zeke turned away as they started to laugh a bit. Dusty watched as he rubbed his face with his paw.

“What?” Cole asked, “You know what, mister. You know mines are better than hers.” Kat said, grumbled as she looked at Raven. “Yeah yeah, the crow girl might have a lil sumthin, but you boys know what this is all about.” Nix came with her sling swimsuit. All crimson red, Syd, Chaz and Zeke stared in awe as Kat, Kuo and Raven stared in jealousy.

“Ok. Now I’ve seen everything.” Cole added, Kat dragged the conduit away from the group as Raven followed, but stopped them as Chaz looked from left to right. “Wait, where’s Yunica and Permet?” Chaz asked.

Yunica came out wearing a halter bikini. Her color scheme is like her military outfit. Green and a brown reddish color from top to bottom. Permet came out as she wore a one piece swimsuit. Hers is a navy blue with white straps, she was a little nervous seeing the others looking at her.

“How is it that Nix is getting away with wearing that attire?” Yunica asked, “cause y’all can’t handle a exotic approach. I basically got the boys droolin.” Nix said, “Uh huh, no doubt that you just chose the swimsuit that you picked out.” Kuo added, Cole and Kat watched as Zeke tried to calm the two conduits down. Xii went back to his master as Dusty stayed next to Cole and Kat.

“Well I know you guys can enjoy the summer beach, so just have fun.” Cole said, Kat turned to him as she grabbed around his arm.

“Hold on a moment, out of all six of us, which one did you like the most?” Kat asked, “it doesn’t matter. On the other hand, you look pretty hot with that attire.” Cole complimented Kat, she had her hands on her hips as she proudly gave a smug look. “Of course. I was gonna go with Raven’s outfit though, but I feel this outfit is just for me.” Kat replied, “Ooh, and I almost thought you go with Nix’s style. But don’t let me stop you if your trying to impress me.” Cole replied as Kat giggled.

“Well I know you can’t enjoy the water since your electrical and all. But… once we have fun on the sand, you can bet that all of us will have lots of fun.” Kat said, encouraging the conduit. “That’s awfully nice of you, Kitten. I appreciate it.” Cole replied, The two eyed at Nix and Raven chatting as Zeke, Chaz and Syd watched the two. Kuo turned to the three, shaking at what is going on in this situation. Yunica and Permet watched as they ate snow cones.

“Shall we, Mr. Macgrath?” Kat asked, charming the conduit. “Sure.” Cole simply said with a smile, the two headed back next to the gang as Dusty floated next to the two, enjoying the day at the beach.

Chapter Text

Kat flew from left to right, looking for someone as she dashed from rooftop to rooftop, to Auldnoir and through Endestria. She started to get infuriated as she messed her hair a bit while Dusty watched her.

“I don’t understand! Where- how can- Dusty, what do I do?!” Kat whined, Dusty stared at her with his usual stare. In Dusty’s mind he would say to calm down and relax. Kat sighed as she sat on the roof of a building. As she looked from left to right, Kat kept searching as she floated about.

Cole read a novel that was given by Syd, he wasn’t much into reading, just to lay back and watch tv like he did back then with Zeke. The novel got him interested as he read the next chapter.

As he walked and read about, he looked at the person right in front of him, a familiar girl with blue hair stared at the conduit.

“Hey Cyanea. Something wrong?” Cole asked, “I thought you we're hanging with Kat as usual. Mr. Cole, have you two been in a fight?” Cyanea spoke, “Nah, I just went by to see Syd. He lent me this book and it got me interested. Haven’t read something since I had to do a project in high school.” Cole said, Cyanea blinked as she listened.

“Aren’t you bored with certain stuff like this? It doesn’t seem your type of thing.” Cyanea asked, “Well why not? The novel got me interested, so I’m close to finishing it.” Cole said, the blue haired girl blinked as Cole turned the page as he read.

Cyanea sat next to the conduit, people pass by as the two read the novel. Cyanea’s curiosity got to her as she read the book with Cole. The conduit grabbed his sling bag as he opened it up and got out his snacks from the stores.

Cole offered his pretzels and chocolates to Cyanea as they ate the delicious treats. Cole made it to the final chapter, as he read the chapter, Cyanea looked at the conduit, his expression turned serious as he read the chapter, he felt as if it didn’t surprise him towards the end of the book.

“Say. Why are you here again?” Cole asked, “Huh? Oh. I guess I was with Mr.Gade. Then I got distracted, I saw you reading by yourself so I wanted to see what your up to.” Cyanea spoke, explaining. “Ah, I see.” Cole simply said as he put the book in his sling bag.

“Someone told me that your unique. And wondered if you’ll be staying a little longer.” Cyanea replied, “The other you. Well I already said I have nowhere to go. I mean everything is going well with Kat, Raven, Syd, and the others I have talked with.” Cole said, Cyanea munched on Pretzels as she looked at the townsfolk.

“So when will you go hang out with Kat?” “Hm? Why’d you ask?” “Well you two seemed very close like she was with Raven.” “Oh, makes sense. I just figure I give her some space and giving her girl time.” “Girl time?” “Yeah, you know.” “Hm?” “Uh… you know what, let’s just go on ahead and find Gade.” “It’s ok, I wouldn’t mind hanging with you, Mr. Cole.”

The conduit turned to the blue haired girl, the two blinked as Cole sighed. “Alright then. But… you don’t have to add the Mister part. I’m not that old.” Cole said, “Ok. Cole it is then.” Cyanea replied as Cole and Cyanea walked about towards downtown Vendecentre.

“Cole, do you love Kat?” “Yeah. Of course.” “Like love love?” “Yes, Cyanea. In that particular way. She’s one of a kind.” “Ah. Now I can see why you're really shy of talking about you and her.” “Hey, talk about something else. Let’s not go further.” Cyanea smiled as Cole took some pretzels and ate some.

Cyanea yawned a bit as Kat spotted Cole, she floated down towards the two as Cole looked at the blonde shifter

“There you are! I’ve been looking for you, Cole!” Kat said, she huffed in a glaring manner, setting her hands on the side of her hips, tapping her feet, Cole got used to her glaring as if it’s no big deal. Knowing Kat he might need to explain himself to her.

“So you have. I was just enjoying a good novel from Syd.” Cole said, “Hmm… So what got you interested in reading this books ? Ohh. A mystery type, huh, I never pegged you for one.” Kat spoke, teasing the conduit.

“Syd suggested this for me. I just finished it. Hard to believe but I enjoyed it. A little bit.” Cole explained, “Typical Cole. You know, I started reading something as well. It starts with a female thief, out” “To be fair, she won’t stop mumbling in her sleep. She keeps going on and on with the detective this and detective that.” Cyanea spoke, scaring Kat, Cole chuckled as Cyanea appeared behind Cole.

“Ah, I almost forgot that day. She wouldn’t stop mumbling, and yet it’s a habit.” Cole remarked, Kat blushed in embarrassment, “but… it’s pretty cute how she dreams in her sleep.” Cole added, Kat blushed even more red, Cyanea stared at the two, waiting for one of them to speak.

“No one asked you. Although I appreciate that comment, though.” Kat remarked back to the conduit, the two smiled. “Cole? I was wondering, the way that Kat is on top of you, is it something that couples do?” Cyanea asked, Cole and Kat eyes widened, the two turned to each other, not one word coming out as Cyanea tilted her head. Somehow, the blue haired girl saw the two cuddling, something that the two enjoyed by themselves. For Cole, he could think of under the sheets with Kat with her “birthday suit” that got the conduit all red. For Kat, she could think of Cole’s muscular embrace, only leaving his pants on, she was worried if she would have crushed him, but considering him be a super human, he enjoyed himself with her on top, considering the two getting handsy.

“Well… Cyanea… it’s kinda…” “it’s kinda like…uhh…” “it’s hard to say, but it’s kinda” “Our thing together. Like what adults do together.” Both Cole and Kat explained their best, Cyanea blinked, she stared at the two as the girl smiled. “I see. So Cole does love Kat after all.” She said as Kat smiled, laughing. Cole chuckled as the two eyed one another. “Yeah. It does actually.” Cole added. Kat kissed the conduit for the kindness he has given her.

“Ah, so this is where your at.” Gade called as the three turned to the old man. “Gade, I was wondering when you showed up. Considering that Cyanea is always with you.” Kat replied, “Actually, I was with Cole for quite a while.” Cyanea admitted, Kat turned to her in surprise. “Eh? Really? Wow. And you two had fun?” Kat asked, “Hmm… I did had some snacks.” Cyanea said, Cole shrugged as Kat turned to Cole once more. “Well as long as everything is going well, what’s to worry about?” Kat said, “I can go for something to eat.” Cole spoke, Dusty meowed in agreeing with Cole.

“Ah, I wanna join too.” Kat shouted, “These two, they sure made Hekseville lively, haven’t they?” Gade spoke, Cyanea nodded, Cole stopped and turned to the two. “You coming or what?” Cole asked, surprising Gade and Cyanea. “How generous of you, Cole Macgrath. I assume that you know what to pick, yes?” Gade spoke, “of course.” Cole answered as Cyanea walked next to Cole. “Hey! Wait a sec…” Kat being flabbergasted, Dusty meowed to his master, Kat sighed, can’t help but smile of his good nature.

Mini short

“Ugh, this heat is unbearable! I never experienced anything like this. Besides going in the lava while trying to save the cities. Wait… what am I saying? Of course I have!” Kat shouted in frustration.

“Well we’re at a hut. And this da*n heat still trying to cook us. I tell y’all, we didn’t expect this.” Zeke replied. “So what’s your next plan, boys? It was your idea to rent this exquisite hut and come to the beach.” Yunica asked, “Well, how about Cole and Kuo using their ice abilities to get things cool around here?” Chaz suggested, “And turn all of you into frozen blocks of ice? Yeah, I don’t think so.” Kuo said, not agreeing to the plan. “Cmon Kuo, it’s not like it’s gonna kill us.” Kuo stared at Nix, a dull expression was given as Nix sighed, “Ok. I get it. But think about it, just turn it down a couple of notches, and bingo! Winter wonderland.” Nix spoke again, Cole stood up as he walked next to Kuo.

“We can give it a shot. It’s not like they would know, right?” Cole asked, “Please do. I don’t know how much I can take.” Permet said, Cole and Kuo used their ice abilities, the humid air circulate around the room turned a chilling air. As it did, Raven came from downstairs as she felt the cooling air around the hut.

“What’s all this?” Raven asked, “Ahh… so much better.” Kat sighed in relaxation. “That’s one way to beat the heat. Man, you two should have done this sooner.” Syd said, relaxing as the air hit his direction.

“I can’t believe that worked. Nix, I don't know why but-” “Say no more, just be glad that some of us ladies haven’t decided to str-” before Nix could finish, Dusty catch the snow particles as Xii did the same.

“Hey, if this keeps up, you think the manager won’t get upset with the snow being around the hut?” Kuo asked, “Nah…” Cole and Zeke said in unison. “Nope. Not at all.” Kat said, “I don’t think they would have a choice. And besides, the heat is intense.” Syd replied, “I have to agree with the detective on this one.” Yunica spoke. Chaz and Permet nodded in agreement. “Well it’s fine. At least we won’t have to struggle.” Raven said as she relaxed.

“I can do this all day.” Cole said as another summer day went by.

Chapter Text

“So you see, I decided that I would stay by her side. I just feel like Echo needs me. That’s what my heart felt.” Newt, a high school boy who chatted with Cole Macgrath, had listened to how he met Kat and how she saved Echo.

“Now it makes sense. You never meant to hurt Kat, just to convince her to save Echo. If you haven’t said what you just told her it would be a different scenario.” Cole added.

“That may be true. I should have told Kat. I never meant to hurt her.” “Well, to be fair Newt, she did like you too.” “Wait, seriously?” “Sure. Call me crazy, but I have a knack of visualizing the scenarios. Well sometimes. Anyways, you chose the person you want to be with. If Echo feels the same way with you telling your true feelings, then it is what it is.” “Then your not mad?” “Who says that I’m mad? I can understand where your coming from. Plus, if I we're you, I wouldn’t try to hurt Echo.” “Noted. What about you? You and Kat are the talk of the whole town you know. The power couple of the century.” “Oh boy. With you and everyone with different names for us to call, I feel like it’s kinda annoying. Especially with the Electric Man situation.” “Haha, Really? I thought it’s pretty nifty.” “Then what would you do if you have superpowers and someone calls you a ridiculous name?” “I guess I’ll accept it.”

Cole chuckled as Newt did the same. “You two enjoying yourselves?” Aujean asked, “Sure, thanks again for the ice cream, Aujean.” Cole replied. “Hey now, it’s the least I can do. You saved my shop a couple of times.” Aujean commented, “anytime.” Cole said, as he and Newt head out, they came to see Echo coming towards the two.

“Hey Echo.” “Hey, wait a sec. Electric Man?” Cole gave a dull expression, annoyed by the title. “Sorry, I didn’t know that it annoyed you.” Echo apologized as Cole shook his head. “No, it’s ok. I’ll have to get used to it eventually.” Cole admitted, “You don’t like it that much, do you?” Echo asked, “Not really. I mean it's not worse than being called lightbulb man.” Cole said, “That’s true. So where’s Kat today?” Echo asked, “she went on to patrol Vendecentre. She should be finishing right about now.” Cole replied, “So I came to give him some company for a bit.” Newt spoke, “I’m sure you two had a nice chat.” Echo said as Cole spotted Kat landing.

“Hey.” Cole simply said, “Hey. Everything’s looking good at Vendecentre. So, what are we having tonight?” Kat asked, Dusty walking next to her as he stared at the conduit.

“Wait, you cook?” Newt asked, surprising Kat as she spotted him and Echo. “You didn’t tell me they we're here.” “You just got here, how is it that you didn’t see them next to me?” “I don’t know, I mean I just finished my patrol, then Raven happened. Trying to steal my snacks as usual.” “You two and your snacks…” Cole and Kat chatted as the two high school students stared at their chatting.

“Oh, right. Yes, a little more and less. I’m kinda learning some more recipe’s. But… I oughta order when I’m around town. As long as I got my Courier job it’s no problem.” Cole said, “Oh that’s right, your also one of the best they have, right?” Echo asked, “Yep, the fastest of all. Beats bike riding if you know your way around.” Cole replied, “Sure. If it wasn’t for my help, you know.” Kat remarked, teasing the conduit. “Of course you helped me out. I wasn’t forgetting that. If it wasn’t for you, I would be stuck around certain places.” Cole said, making Kat blush, smiling from his comment.

“Hey, Newt. Is it me or are they…” “Mmm-hmm. You know it’s really nice of Kat finding someone like him.” “They’re pretty adorable when they try to tease at one another.” “Wait, can you tell?” “Yeah, one time, Kat was teasing him when the two went out to eat, she teased him for being a gentleman in front of others, he blushed really red as some of the onlookers saw them.” “Oh, I see. Just like the time when Cole teased her from being adorable when she blushed. Kat tried to hide it, but she was way red like a rose.” The two laughed as Cole stared at the students. They looked at Cole as he dully stared at the two.

“I guess you heard all of that…” Newt replied, “…Well, it’s not that I would be angry, but… I would of said the same with you two as well.” Cole said, “What? No, we would… hold on a sec.” Newt was lost at words as Cole chuckled, he left as Echo stared at Newt, chasing after the conduit as he tries to talk to Cole of a misunderstanding.

“Boys… Honestly, Cole sure knows how to make things lively around here.” Echo said, “Yeah.” Kat said as she smiled, watching Cole as he talked with Newt.

Mini story

“Last day. It goes by so quick. I wish we could have more time in the world.” Nix said, “True. I never expected this to go so well.” Raven spoke, “The stars sure are nice. Especially around a place like this.” Chaz said as he sat around the bonfire. “Will have to thank Zeke and Cole with this plan. Especially you, Kuo. This wouldn’t happen because of all of this.” Syd commented, “Hell yeah. Y’all had a great time, especially the ladies looking good in the swimsuits.” Zeke replied, some of the guys nodded as Raven and Yunica glared at the men. “Well one thing for sure, I looked great compared to you gals, got these boys droolin.” Nix smugly replied, “It’s not a competition, I just said that many times to you.” Permet replied, “Let’s not start, Permet. After all we know who looked better during the whole trip.” Yunica said, “Wait, who?” Chaz asked, “Raven of course. Some of the locals caught her eye as I watched.” Yunica explained, “What? This bird girl? Aw, sh*t. Can’t believe they liked her swimsuit instead of mine.” Nix sighed.

“Well, to be fair…” “Don’t push it Mr. Detective.” Nix stopped Syd from talking as Zeke drank his beer. “Say, where are Cole and Kat?” Kuo asked, the others didn’t know as they looked around.

The two stared at the stars as Kat walked towards the area where the water came a little close. Dusty meowed as Kat turned to Cole.

“You had a great time?” Cole asked, “What do you think?” Kat asked, smiling to the conduit. “I think… you had a great time.” Cole answered. “Well. I say I had a wonderful time. Your the best, really. You got Zeke and Kuo to give us this trip. I wish everyone I have met would love to come here.” Kat replied. “Next time. Will make it happen.” Cole said, “Shall we head back?” Kat asked as Cole nodded.

Cole was looking for Kat, as he did the conduit saw her floating by, carrying some deliveries. The conduit followed her as she delivered a package to a random civilian. That was his job as a courier. Before he had to think, he sees how tired Kat was. She can tell that there are times that these request can be utterly ridiculous. Cole remember the time with some missions, annoying they can be, he accepted them anyways.

Kat walked away as Dusty followed. She spotted Cole as the conduit sat on the porch. “Hey. I didn’t expect you to be here at Pleajeune.” Kat spoke, Cole inspect his phone as he sighed. “Yeah, I was looking for you. Raven said you be over here. But Yunica stopped me to help her out with a few things.” Cole added, Kat sat down, sighed, and stretched her arms and body. Cole finished inspecting his phone, he turned to Kat as Dusty hopped on the porch next to the two.

“Hey. Do you think they… care that even you saved everyone, that the people here would remember the good deeds you done?” “You mean the time I stopped the military from using the Nevi as a weapon?” “Yeah.” “I believe that they’re worth saving. Like how you sacrifice yourself to save New Maris, what brought that up?” “Well the people you talk with ask you for ridiculous request, even if some are snobby, or what not, how do you really feel?” “…well in honesty, I’m just being myself. No matter if I’m annoyed, or just peeved, I’ll help them as much as I can. There may be selfish needs from some people, but…” “I see. They don’t know how lucky they are to have you.” “Cole…” “Your doing so much for the people, your willing to help.” “You too, dummy. Have you forgotten since you came here? Honestly Cole.” “Huh? Since when?” “Oh I've been keeping an eye on you too.” Dusty looked at the two, talking as the cat rubbed his head with his paw.

“Well…” “Hm? Well what?” “Oh nothing. Don’t worry about it.” Kat stared at the conduit, she laughed as Cole turned to her. “You worry too much. Come on. Let’s go see Raven.” Kat got up, turning to Cole as Dusty walked next to her, and did the same. Cole stood up as he adjusted his sling bag and amp, the three walked about as Cole suggested something, making Kat cheerfully agree to this.

“Hey, Aujean wanted me to tell you that he got a job for you.” Kat replied, “Wait, Aujean? What is it this time?” Cole asked, “He wants to test out something like delivering ice cream to people who already ordered.” Kat said, explaining. “I see. Let’s head up there, if anything goes, might as well try this delivery service.” Cole said as the two head out.

Mini story

Syd… we’re on. Say something.

“Uh… right. Hello… viewers…? I’m here to talk about one of the episodes from… Malcolm… in the Middle? Something about health scare. Ironically the parents have to keep the kids safe or what ever, even if they have to ground them, which leads Malcolm and his brother Reese being punished for tracking mud. For Dewey, he’s taking care of a class pet, trying to convince his parents on getting a dog. For Francis, he’s… dealing with a certain someone… yeesh. Anyways the best part of this episode, was after Malcolm and Reese put up disguises for night time and sneak off to a party, Hal decided to talk with the boys with a heartfelt I love you. As he tried to give one of the boys a kiss goodnight, the balloon pops as the dad screams in horror. Huh. Now I see why it’s funny. His screaming is high pitched. Oh right, now Dewey starts to scream along as he sees the boys disguise. The zombie head in a teddy bear.”

I can watch this all day.

“Wait, why are we here?” Kat asked.

“No idea. This guy got Syd recapping an episode. This guy screaming…” Cole replied as the two stared.

“It’s a mystery why their dad screams like that.” Raven spoke.

“Can’t believe this person asked Syd to recap while recording.” Kuo replied.

It’s a job, but someone has to do something. Plus I was bored.

Cole had came back from shopping for something to drink. Staying here at Hekseville, the home of his friends, and his lover, he adapted with the locals, being not only as their champion with Kat and Raven, but as one of the family.

What Cole has brought are drinks for adults. Different type of liquor, Kat started to plead Cole to buy some for the three of them, Cole begged Kat not to overdo the drinking as to his surprise, Kat started to be her confident self as Cole sighed at her smug attitude. She was pretty cute like that.

As he made it back, he was greeted by Dusty’s nuzzling, floating about, Cole felt his nose on his cheek as Cole chuckled.

“Yes! Cole’s back, Raven!” Kat shouted, “Well it’s about time. Let’s get this over with.” Raven replied, with her cool manner being shown towards them.

“We gotta see how this stuff taste, might make the best of it.” Kat said, sitting next to Cole.

“Well for starters, if you get all tipsy, don’t start something you might regret.” Cole said, Dusty meowed in agreement as Raven and Xii watched.

“Well… let’s get started.” Kat spoke l, Cole pouring the wine that he bought with a cat logo on it for the three to drink.

As each of them have a cup for themselves to drink, Kat breathe in and out as she was ready. Cole and Raven watched as the two stared at her childish behavior, Xii watched above towards Raven, Dusty laid to watched her owner, as Kat was about to take her sip, she tasted the wine as she tasted the grape flavor, but something tingled. Another taste kicked in as she stopped. “It tasted a little different.” Kat spoke, Cole drank the wine at ease as Raven did the same.

“Like I said, it has its kicks. Depends on your taste buds.” Cole said, Kat resumed drinking, making Cole stopped for a moment. “Hey! Take it easy. Don’t drink too much.” Cole warned her as she finished drinking her wine. “I don’t see why your worried.” Kat replied, then started to feel funny. She starts to giggle as Raven stared at her loyal friend, so did Cole.

The Gravity Queen giggled louder and louder as the two stared. “Co~le… Hehehehe. You look like… your unimpressed… did I… *hic* hehe. Tell you or what?” Kat asked, in a drunken matter.

“Figures. I knew she’d taken too much. And I warned her too.” Cole said, making Raven shake her head. “Ok. Let’s play a game. Cole, close your eyes.” Kat said, “what for?” Cole asked, “Just do it. *hic* you dummy. Hehehe.” Kat said, flustered as Raven watched. Cole sighed and closed his eyes. As he waited, he felt a tickling sensation on his lips, he started to feel a little weird about the situation, as he opened his eyes, Kat was licking his lips, Raven glared at the two as Cole backed away. “Co~le! You cheater… *hic* your not suppose to look.” Kat scoffed, then started laughing as she looked at his puzzled face.

“Kat, your drunk. I told you not to- hey Kat! Stop! Hey! Wai- mmph!” Kat kissed Cole as Raven watched. Dusty and Xii watched the three as Kat resumed kissing. To Cole and Raven’s surprise, she started to purr. It wasn’t natural for her to do this but her purr turned Cole on as Kat nuzzled his cheek.

“Cole… your so… sexy. Ahh… someone’s feeling eager” Kat mumbled, she felt dizzy as she laid on his chest. Kat was about to undo Cole’s pants, Raven had seen enough as she was about to assist Cole to separate the two.

“Honestly, I’m not taking advantage of a drunken woman. That’s not my style.” “So what do we do now, Macgrath?” “Let’s wait until she’s sober. Raven, can you…” “yeah. I’ll handle Kat. You just get rid of the wine. I’m starting to feel a little lightheaded.” “it’s best you stay with Kat.” “I am. Hey, can you stay in the pipe? It would be better if you stay. Plus with me here, it would… well you know.” With that said, the two set Kat onto her bed as she groaned. “No fair. Raven you meanie… you just can’t… let… me…” Kat fell asleep as she softly snored. Dusty meowed, getting Cole’s attention.

“She’ll be fine. Will have to wait until she comes through.” Cole said as he petted Dusty. Kat slept as Raven started to feel sleepy as well.

A few hours has passed as Cole was the first to awake. He stretched, then turned to Kat and Raven, sleeping peacefully. Their heads connected to each other, caring for each other as Cole smiled. He caressed Raven’s head, making her smile in her sleep, kissing Kat’s forehead, making her moan softly. He was about to lay his head near the bed where the girls are, but Raven woke up to see him close to the two.

“I'm actually impressed. You didn’t take advantage of her. Including me. I was worried to be honest.” Raven spoked, Cole shrugged as it was no big deal. “You feeling ok?” Cole asked, “Yeah, a little dizzy, my head hurts a little.” Raven said, rubbing the side of her head. Kat started to wake up, groaning from what had happened.

“Ugh. My head. Is this why you told me not to take that much?” Kat asked, “Yeah. Jeez, and you probably don’t remember what happened.” “What happened?” “Uhh…. It’s best to not ask.” Cole stood up, going out to get some fresh air.

As he did, he breathed in and out as Kat walked next to him.

“I’m sorry.” “What for?” “I just… I just want to prove you and Syd that I’m all grown.” “What? When did I… Ah, I see. I did treat you like a child a bit about drinking.” “Well you didn’t tease me. Well a little but… your not like that. Your a sweet person. And that’s what I like about you.” “Well you showed you won’t hold back anything. Plus your already a woman. In my eyes.” “Cole… you mean that?” “With all my heart. Of course.” “Hmm… I bet you charmed the same way towards Trish.” “Hey! That’s not… well…” Kat laughed, hugging the conduit as Cole smiled.

“Never make me do something stupid ever again. Ok?” Kat asked, “Sure. As long as you cut back on so much sugar.” “Co~le!” Now Cole chuckled as Kat whined. Dusty rubbed his owner’s leg, Kat carrying Dusty as she smiled to the space cat. “I have to apologize too, Dusty. I made you worried didn’t I?” Kat said, Dusty meowed as Kat nuzzled him. Cole came to the two, Dusty nuzzled on Cole’s petting as Kat kissed his cheek. Raven watched the two, Cole spotted her as she felt her heart jumped. Cole wanted her to come over, not just to join them, but to comfort Kat.

Raven smiled, walking to the two as Xii landed onto Cole’s shoulder, the red and black haired girl chatted with the two as they laughed.

Mini story

“Alright, I got the fruit. You girls are gonna love this.” Cole replied, “Macgrath, what is this supposed to be?” Raven asked nonchalantly. “This is mango. I got one for each of us.” Cole replied, peeling the mango the best way he can.

As the mango was peeled, Kat looked at the fruit as she stared at it. “Hmm… so how good is it?” Kat asked, “Give it a shot. I guarantee you that it’s delicious.” Cole said, Kat took a bite as she felt the juices kicked in her taste buds. Sparks fly as her eyes formed into hearts.

“Wow! It’s so good!” Kat said, munching on the mango. “Seriously?” Raven replied, she took a bite of hers, and felt her tastebuds driven in heaven. “This mango is delicious, I’ve never tasted this kind of fruit like this before.” Raven said, “Told ya.” Cole added, finishing his mango.

“Ahh that was so good! I’ve never expected this mango to be so delicious.” Kat spoke, “I have to agree. We should get more of these next time.” Raven replied, “It’s nice of you to change it up a little bit. But I can still enjoy the tasty foods they can offer.” Kat said, smiling. “I’m not stopping you both out of love for meat, candy, donuts, and all that.” Cole teased, Kat saw this as she smirked, Raven huffed as she turned away and flipped her hair.

“What? You know you won’t be able to treat me for any meals, you know.” Kat did her best to tease the conduit, but Cole didn’t fall for it. “Hell I’m not even sure. However… You two would be missing out on delicious delectables like this mango.” Cole teased back, Kat grumbled, pouting like a little child, Cole nudged her as he smiled at Kat. Kat smiled back softly as Raven turned to the two.

“If your done flirting…” Raven spoke, “No need to be left out, Raven.” Cole replied, Raven blushed. “You dummy… Honestly.” Raven said blushing. Cole and Kat laughed as the three enjoy the day. Zeke watched the three as he drank his beer.

“These two are a handful, Cole. Your a lucky b*st*rd I tell ya. But hey it is you after all, brother.” Zeke said to himself, finishing his beer.

Chapter Text

Cole sat on the rooftops of the bell tower at Vendecentre. Looking at the people asking about in this peaceful day, he chow down some fries as a familiar cat meowed.

“Hey Dusty.” Cole said, the cat meowed a hello to Cole as the galaxy like cat sniffed at the food. Cole offered him a piece of fry as Dusty chewed it up. Kat looked at the two, Smiling as she ate her burger. Cole looked at the sky as Dusty hopped onto his lap, the conduit looked at Dusty as he wanted attention. Kat petted her guardian, Dusty purred as he enjoyed the attention.

“Look at you, trying to get Cole’s attention.” Kat replied as she giggled. Dusty meowed, he laid upon Cole’s lap as the conduit finished his food.

The next day, Cole hung with Raven at Auldnoir, looking to find what she wanted to chow down. Xii floated around Cole, landing on his shoulder. Cole scratched under his neck, to Raven’s surprise, Xii started to make a noise that felt settling.

“Macgrath? Are you making Xii…” Raven stared as Cole and Xii turned to her. “What? You haven’t tried this before? Xii seems to like it.” Cole said, resuming to scratch Xii under its neck. The crow actually made a purr like sound, being petted like this made the galaxy like bird real happy.

“Xii, your getting too friendly with him…” Raven spoke, blushing, Xii returned to his partner, cawing to Raven as she petted him with her finger.

“You feeling alright?” Cole asked, “Yes, I’m fine. I should get going.” Raven said, flipping her hair as she hid her blush.

“And she hasn’t got her lunch yet…” Cole added as he went off.

The third day, Cole hung with Syd and Chaz, as the two went off to get some drinks, Kat and Raven we're beside themselves as they floated around the city.

“So do you have any idea why our guardians seemed to attract Cole more?” Raven asked, “I dunno. I guess it’s something to do with him being a conduit. Even he doesn’t have a clue.” Kat answered.

“Well, Xii seemed to gotten real close with him. Has Dusty done the same?” Raven asked once more, “A couple of times. He really likes Cole due to the fact that we’re dating. Plus that night… and offering him some of his lunch.” Kat said, laughing. “Seems he has his way with the animals.” Raven spoke, flipping her hair.

“Admit it. You have to like him too, right?” Kat teased, “Don’t be ridiculous… as if.” Raven remarked, hiding her face. Kat smiling as Raven sighed in annoyance.

At Kat’s home, Cole sat on the outside of the pipe house as he closed his eyes. As he drifted asleep, a meow alerted the conduit as he looked at his direction. Dusty, swinging his tail around as Xii landed onto Cole’s shoulder.

“See? Those two are always asking for attention. It’s so cute.” Kat replied, smiling. “Guess it can’t be help.” Raven said as Cole yawned. “Well what can I do about it?” Cole replied as Dusty meowed happily.

“They’re so cute you know, getting Cole’s attention.” Kat whispered to Raven. “Yeah. I guess your right. It’s kinda… adorable.” Raven said, smiling at the scene.

Mini Story

Can’t believe that the studio was shut down, so you know what this means? No Ape Escape, No more Shadow of Colossus, No Parappa the Rapper, No Knack… No Gravity Rush… No Parappa!!!

“Your over reacting. Doesn’t mean they’re gone forever. Not forgotten at least.” Cole replied.

Speak for yourself, Sucker Punch is still active, getting some Ghost of Tsushima content, still love the game by the way, and we’re still waiting on another inFamous. And your already dead. Well just the real version of the main game, or however you call this.

“But when you put it that way, the group that went seperate ways from Japan Studios could have the rights.” Kat said.

Ah right. Maybe Bokeh Studios. However, if Slitherhead goes really well, then sure. Or any former employees that worked on your game before could… well maybe but I’m still praying.

“See? No need to worry about the bad, just think about the good. Kat’s getting her movie, it’s just a rumor but if this goes well, her game might come to PC.” Cole spoke, looking at the big screen.

Good point. Anyway what can we watch?

“Depends, you brought a couple of us here.” Cole pointed out, the crowd was anxious of the big tv being shown. “And how is this not kidnapping?” Raven asked in annoyance.

It’s not. It’s just a theater room. Plus I get bored. All I got are YouTube videos, anime and various footages. I mean I’m looking at some Caddicarus content and have no idea that Skate or Die could set out a weird vibe. Now I really don’t like how this Mohawk guy is looking.

“You think they could make games a little… less weird.” Cole added.

They tried. But what can you do… Anyway will have to stop here, this is all we can talk about.

“So what does this do?” Cyanea asked as she has the remote.

Chapter Text

Cole and Syd read the instructions, the conduit has never cooked before, but only ordered nothing but quick food and beer. Syd invited him to help out with some cooking that he needed to learn. Truth be told, Syd needed to learn to cook as well, despite the fact that Kat and Raven do try to waste his money with various foods they enjoy to eat. Knowing those two they’re big eaters. Gourmand to say the least.

“If we're going to do this, we might need to follow the instructions completely.” Syd said, “Well sure. But…” Cole was unsure about this. Cooking for Kat and Raven is part of his next task of living together.

Throughout the events, there are mishaps, and there are some successes. Lots of funny mishaps with the cooking but the two got the hang of things, mostly because of Cole since he was the one having trouble.

A couple of hours of cooking, both Cole and Syd had done what they could to make.

“So how does it look?” Cole asked, “let’s see. This is an interesting dish. Roast, English Peas, Mashed Potatoes, looks pretty good. With a couple of attempts with the potatoes and peas, we did pretty well.” Syd spoke, he got the food contained as the two get themselves to prepare.

“You think I should help clean up after dinner? I’d feel bad that I left this a wreck.” Cole said, Syd laughed of seeing the kitchen area a mess. “Well for the best, we made this dish a success. I guess after dinner it wouldn’t hurt to clean up. Right?” Syd replied, the two head out, carrying the dinner they made in each of their own containers. Cole found a way to make it back to Kat’s home a easy way thanks to all the knowledge of every places he has visited.

“Ugh. When is Cole and Syd gonna be here?” Kat whined, she and Raven waited as Xii flew around. Dusty laid on Kat’s stuffed toy bunny, Raven stared at her best friend, she got the scent of the food, signaling that Cole and Syd are coming. The four turned to the curtain as the guys entered with dinner.

“Ah, finally! I can’t wait to see what you cooked.” Kat said in excitement. Cole set the table up as Syd put the food, setting up the delicious cooked food that they made.

A nice pot of Roast, seasoned with garlic salt, pepper, with the thanks of cream of mushroom to make the gravy an excellent taste. Mashed Potatoes, with making them by using potatoes, Cole and Syd mashed the spuds since Cole decided he wanted to do that, the mashed potatoes are seasoned in a classic way of butter, and parsley flakes. The English peas he wanted to do was adding chopped onions, and black pepper.

“Whoa. All of this was your doing? There’s no way Syd would do some of this.” “Hey, give me some credit Raven. If it wasn’t for Cole I wouldn’t have made this delicious dinner without him.” Cole started to fix the servings, Dusty looked at the delicious delights as Cole offered the food to Kat.

The Gravity Queen smelled the meat, she couldn’t believe how it was made, the smell, the savory dish was meant to be eaten. ‘It’s so delicious. Oh I can’t wait. Time to dig in!’ Kat grabbed her fork and got a piece of the roast as she took a bite. Savoring the texture of the meat mixed with the gravy. The seasoning kicked in as she moaned in delight.

“So good! Raven! You have to try this!” Kat shouted, eating more of the food. Syd set up Raven’s dish as she looked at the food. She took a bite of the roast, as she did, her expression was in surprise. She looked at the roast as her heart melted from the delicious delight.

“This… this is Amazing! Macgrath, this meat…” Raven started to eat again, the two men nodded as the dish was a success. They decided to eat with the girls. They laughed, chatted, enjoying each other’s company as the minutes go by.

As an hour go by, back at Syd’s place, Cole and Syd cleaned up as every dish, and every container was gathered.

Extra

Yunica finished her patrol, she decided to wait at the ice cream shop as she ordered her dessert.

Lucy Kuo watched a flock of ducks pass by as Yunica stood next to Kuo. “I’ve never seen this many flocks in my life.” Kuo said, “These ducks must have notice the weather is going to change. Probably flying south.” Yunica added. “Yeah. Look how they form the Flying V. You never see how their form is in such good shape.” Kuo pointed as Yunica ate a piece of ice cream. “That could also mean that they’re following the leader. The way that the duck flow it’s wings is pretty… what’s the word?” Yunica spoke, “Um… magnificent?” Kuo answered as Yunica looked back at the ducks. “Yeah. You can say that.”

The two spotted Permet and Zeke working on an customized emergency power generator. With the two figuring out to make it work, Kuo and Yunica watched as the ice Conduit blinked for a moment.

“How much you wanna bet that he’s gonna electrocute himself on accident?” Kuo asked, pointing at Zeke. “Depends. If he’s that smart, I see no problem.” Yunica said as Permet turned on the generator. It was a success as the Sea Slug turned off the generator, Zeke sighed in relief as he wiped the sweat off his brow.

“No matter how you look at him, Zeke is a hard worker.” Yunica said, “Well you can thank Cole, with him around he’s pretty reliable when it comes to stuff like this.” Kuo replied, then all of the sudden a loud boom was heard as Zeke groaned in frustration.

Yunica and Kuo laughed as they finished their desserts. “Come on, let’s see if we can help out.” Kuo said, Yunica nodded as they went over to Zeke and Permet.

At Vendecentre, Cole stood and looked about at the downtown area, waiting on Kat, the Conduit spotted her, Raven, Yunica, Newt, Echo, Syd, Cyanea, and Chaz. Cole read about from the magazine as he noticed that him, Kat, and Raven we're on the page.

Cole sighed as Syd walked over to him. “Yo, Cole. How’s it going?” Syd asked, “Just reading. I was enjoying some of the action shots from the magazine.” Cole pointed as Syd took a look.

“Huh. This is a first, now your in the magazine.” Syd said with a smile. “Guess will keep it that way.” Cole spoke, “Keep what that way?” Kat asked, walking to the two men. “Cole’s in the magazine. Check him out.” Syd said as Kat took a look. “OMG! They musta took photos of you against the big Nevi.” Kat pointing at the Giacago. Raven and the others took a look as Cole stared at the others. “It’s just one photo. Nothing special.” Cole replied.

A man in a hoodie approached the Conduit and the group as Chaz got a look at the guy. Everyone turned to him as he set his bag down.

“Hey. You Cole Macgrath?” The man asked, “Who wants to know?” Cole asked, “I was wondering, if I can get a couple of pics of you in action. Ever since you came, I was awestruck by your talents. With the Gravity Queen and her partner taking care of the Nevi and being highlighted around the news and the magazines, I figure if you like to be featured.” The man said as Cole and Kat looked at one another.

“He will be glad to do it.” Syd said, “hold up Syd, I haven’t decided if I want to do this or not.” Cole replied, “He’s right Syd, you can’t just force the guy to do the shoots. Cole is his own person, y’know.” Chaz said, “Indeed, besides, Cole doesn’t have time for these kinds of things.” Raven added.

“Unless this person is from the tabloid, and want some money off of some sham. There’s a few that do those things.” Yunica said, Cole looked at the man for a moment, he can tell that the photographer wanted to take pics of him in action. It reminded him of the other guy taking pics of Cole back at Empire City, he was all over the place, getting recognized and everything. Looking back at Syd, his gut said to do it as he decided to go with it. It wouldn’t be all bad to show off some skills, especially his parkour talents.

“Ok. I’ll do it.” Cole said, the others looked at him as the photographers eyes widened. “You Will?! All right!!! Sorry. I got excited.” The photographer said, blushing in embarrassment. “You sure? Your not saying that cause you feel sorry for the guy… or any case because of Syd?” Kat asked, “Nah. Doing this brings me back from Empire City. Just doing all this again would be a snap.” Cole replied as the photographer readied himself.

“Ok. First off, let’s see how you glide around Vendecentre. But I don’t want you to fall off now.” The photographer replied, “Got it, there airboats flying by, might try to land on some as it comes by.” Cole added as he readied his thrusters.

“I can’t believe we’re gonna see him in action. Up close.” Newt said, “We seen it a few times on the news, but in any case this seems really different.” Echo pointed as Cole floated about with this thrusters. The camera took the shot as the photographer was amazed by this.

“It’s like he’s a little kid, I can see why he wanted to take photos of Cole.” Chaz whispered, “What… he’s his number one fan?” Syd asked, Chaz nodded as Yunica looked at him for a moment.

“Perhaps I misjudged him.” Yunica said as Cole used his Lightning Tether to grab to the next hovercraft and to the next.

The photographer took the shot as he gave a thumbs up, confirming that he got it.

“Awesome, let’s keep it up, Mr. Macgrath.” The photographer said as Kat watched Cole, she wanted to make sure that he won’t go falling into the Gravity Storm, losing him out there could mean he’ll never come back.

The next take was the clock tower. The photographer waited as Kat and the group had front row seats.

“So what is Mr. Cole going to do?” Cyanea asked, “He’s not thinking of climbing all the way up the tower… is he?!” Chaz asked, “That’s the plan. He told me he’s gonna climb the tower.” The photographer replied, “Ah, I see. Your gonna get angles of his climbing abilities. Has he climbed higher places back at his home?” Raven asked, “It’s possible. Cole isn’t afraid of heights at least.” Newt replied, Cole readied himself as he ran and climbed the stairs, grabbing ledges after ledges.

The photographer took action as he got every detail of his climbing. The group looked and watched as Cole was halfway there using every maneuver to get to the top, it was amazing how both Cole and the photographer we're doing.

Cole finding ways to get to the top with airboats, and such to make it about. The photographer started getting various angles as he goes about.

Cole had made it to the top, the photographer wanted to get one more pic for last as Kat and the others looked about.

“Just one more photo. The Thunder Drop.” The photographer said as he ready in position. “Wait, the Thunder Drop? Oh I see, that’s why there’s a caution lines for everyone to get out of the way.” Syd said, “Uh, Syd? We might need to move now.” Chaz pointed up towards Cole, jumping off the clock tower.

“Oh. Right.” Syd simply said as the group got behind the caution line. Cole readied his Thunder Drop as the photographer was close to the food stall as the civilians watched. With high falling speed, the Conduit slammed to the ground, with percise and great timing, the Photographer got the picture as Kat and the others felt the ground shook. The crater where Cole landed wasn’t deep, luckily.

“That’s that. I got the pics I need.” The photographer said as Cole walked towards him. “So what’s all this for?” Cole asked, “Oh yeah. For the magazine, to get some of the awesome info on the mysterious electric superhero that appeared from Hekseville. Our boss wanted to get some action shots so he chose me to get some. With me being a fan of your talents, I just had to see them up close.” The photographer explained

“Your not here to go overboard being a fan, are you?” Cole asked, “Nope, I know some can go off the charts, and it isn’t pretty.” The photographer said, “Also, why not the Two heroines? They protected everyone more than I have. Hell, I'm not competing against them.” Cole added, “Oh, about that, word gets out quickly as we noticed that you and the Gravity Queen are a power couple. Pretty upsetting the ladies, your quite the looker.” The photographer said. “Hey, I ain’t nothing special.” Cole replied as Kat huffed in jealousy. “Kat? Why are you puffing your cheeks like that?” Cyanea asked, “because Kat doesn’t want-” before Syd could answer, Kat growled softly as the detective turned away from her.

“It’s not like they’re not blind. Either way they just have a fan club right out of the blue.” Cole joked, “That or the former snakerabbits gang started to have a club, they heard about you and the Gravity Queen, they were pretty awestruck of the two of you. Oh, by the way…
you also have another romantic relationship with the crow girl. People think it would be scandalous, but I think it’s pretty interesting if both of them to be by your side. Like some storrytelling stuff you read.” The photographer whispered. “Ah, I see. Well truth be told…” before Cole could finish, Kat dragged him away as Cole blankly stared back at the photographer.

“I guess you have to go then.” The photographer said as Cole shrugged. “This is great and all but meandColehavetogonowsoyougotyourphotoswecanleavenow. Bye.” Kat said as she dragged Cole away from the photographer.

“Ah, young love. Wait a sec…” before the Photographer could finish, he looked at the two as Kat gave the photographer a comical pouty look. The man shook his head as he understood why she dragged him away. “That’s so cute. Alright I get it. Just take care of the guy.” He said to himself as he went off to deliver the photos.

The next day…

“Look at this line. I never expect young girls to get chocolates like crazy. Must be Valentine’s Day? In Japan girls tend to give chocolates to boys they like. Unlike back at the US, it’s pretty different how I look at it.” Cole waited as a few young girls pointed at the Conduit, looking at the newest magazine of him.

“Is that a raccoon?” One of the schoolgirls pointed his bag with a familiar icon, “Yeah. I wonder what patch he got that from?” Another schoolgirl asked, Cole heard the conversation as he still waited, a few more orders and he can get his chocolate. “So why would the hero be here around Auldnoir getting chocolates?” “Maybe he’s just getting some for a special someone.” “You don’t say?” Cole heard the chatter as he ignored them. As he was next in line, the owner finished waving at the customer as he recognized the Conduit.

“Oh hey! Your that guy from the magazine!” The owner pointed, “Uh… which one?” Cole asked, “Oh, I guess you haven’t seen your article yet. Your the talk of the town, you know.” The chocolate shop owner replied, “here. This chocolates on the house.”

“No no, I should pay. I’m not here for free stuff. I'm paying like the rest of the civilians. Besides, what will happen if this keeps up?” Cole said as the owner nodded as he understood. “Such a noble guy. I understand completely.” The owner said as Cole paid for the chocolates.

As he went off, Kat zoomed by as she showed the magazine to Cole as he looked at it.

“Your on the front cover!” Kat shouted, making other people looked at the two. “I can see that.” Cole chuckled at her cheery nature. “That guy that took photos of you, he wrote a bunch of stuff. And all the action shots, you look so cool!” Kat said, happily encouraging the Conduit. “Not as cool as you or Raven.” Cole added, He and Kat read the article as young girls spotted the Conduit and the Shifter. They surrounded Cole as Kat was pushed aside.

“Cole, sign my article!” “Mines too!” The young girls chattered as Kat felt as if she was ignored, Cole looked at her as the two understood the situation. Kat decided to take immediate action.

“Cole! We should get going.” Kat said as she grabbed his arm. “Huh? Wait a sec, the Gravity Queen?” One of the girls shouted, “What is she doing here?”

“Actually…” “Me and the Conduit are dating. Yeah, that’s it.” Kat bluntly said as Cole stared at the priceless expressions. “Wha~t?!” All shouted as Raven floated by the two. “There you are. You haven’t forgotten, have you Macgrath?” Raven spoke, “No. I got them right here. We should go before it melts.” Cole said, “Agree, let’s hurry.” Kat said as she carried the Conduit as they hightailed out of here as the girls shouted.

“Thanks Kat.” “Cole. Your lucky that you didn’t have to sign their magazines. Otherwise-” “You throw me out of the atmosphere?” Cole and Kat laughed as The three made it back to the pipe house.

The three ate some chocolates as Cole noticed a note. He read it as he turned to Kat. “Kat… was that magazine supposed to be for me?” Cole asked sternly, “Uhh… maybe?” Kat said innocently, “Uh huh…” Cole stared comically as Raven ate her chocolates, laughing softly. “What? You just look so cool! especially the drop you just made, the photographer got a really good picture.” Kat pointed at the photo of Cole landing with the rubble and the electricity surrounding him.

“Huh… wow. He does care. Hey, look at this.” Cole said, showing the part of the article. The girls looked at the section as they read it.

“Wow, he actually mentioned us. This guy is pretty generous. He even mentioned how Cole see us as equals, that’s a relief.” Kat said, “Gives you more publicity too.” Cole added, “Oh that’s true. Then… that number one fan of mine…” Kat spoke as she groaned. “Wait, number one fan? Heh, usually my number one fan would get themselves killed, no different from that.” Cole replied as he shook his head. “If he tries to mess with you I’ll give him what for.” Cole said as he conducts his electricity.

“That’s sweet of you. But no need.” Kat replied, giggling as she ate her chocolate. “You sure? Will make sure he gets the message. Syd told us how that guy invaded her privacy.” Raven said as Kat sighed,

“Well that’s all in the past.” “But… still.” Cole had a thought of being spied on by the government by Moya. “It’s fine, Cole. As long as your here, I got nothing to worry. He knows we’re dating by now, but I have to wonder how he’s taking it.” Kat asked herself as Cole chuckled.

“Doesn’t matter now. You have Macgrath after all.” Raven added, “of course, thats true.” Kat said with a smile.

So Cole had Two Voice Actors for his US version. Jason and Eric. Now his JP seiyuu, who would of thought, is Keiji Fujiwara. The man that voices Ardyn Izunia of FFXV. I never expected him to voice Cole with that voice, but how cool is that? Rest his soul.

“You must be a fan of Keiji. Oh, that’s why Cole sound like him with us speaking… uh… what kind of language are we speaking?” Kat asked.

“I figure it was made up. But with French and Japanese, seems like you all speak backwards or something.” Cole said.

“He’s not wrong. With Cole speaking like us, I assume that the writer wanted him to speak like us with this Keiji person’s voice. Makes sense that he has some knowledge of voice actors and seiyuus, considering he did study a couple of actors and actresses.” Raven added.

Hey you got to know who voices who. Like Rob Paulsen. He does comedical cartoon characters like Yakko Warner, but he can do other characters such as Hydroman from Spider-man: The Animated Series, or Tom Kenny… the one that voices SpongeBob… he’s got very good range, voicing Hannibal Bean with a southern accent, Doc Ock with the villainous tone, etc. don’t let his voice fool you, but he’s got range for the voices.

“What about female voice actors?” Kat asked.

Ah yeah. Tara Strong is an exceptional one, from the cheery Bubbles from Powerpuff girls, Ben Tennyson from Ben 10, Raven and Terra from Teen Titans, Cindy McPhearson from the Boondocks… the list goes on.

“Huh? There’s another Raven?” Kat asked in surprise, “There’s not enough time anyway, another day.” Cole said.

True. If we we're to make time, that be up to me.

“So can you?” Raven asked, tapping her foot.

Oh look at the time. We should be going. I got this game I need to play and-

Cole, Kat and Raven sat around as they waited. The woman came and sat as she eyed at the Conduit.

“I see you came to know your future, yes? I’m glad you came at the right moment, Mr. Macgrath.” Aki, the fortune teller spoke, Cole looked at the girls as Kat nodded, “Well they say you can look into the future. I want to know what will my future be like with Kat and Raven.” Cole asked as Aki closed her eyes. “So it seems. The one who has died, and brought back to this world wants answers. The superhuman who conducts electricity was brought here by a mysterious power. Your sacrifice… was all but…” before Aki could finish, Cole figured out that the RFI was all for nothing.

“However you have succeed of ridding the monstrosity, freeing the man that was destined to destroy your world.” “John didn’t have a choice. That power corrupted him, he could of… I wish he didn’t have to suffer this much.” Cole said, “I understand your feelings. We all have a choice. If you had took another route, it would be different. Of course your relationship with Kat and or Raven.” Aki said as Cole understood this, Kat and Raven listened in as Aki pulled out Pandora, to Cole’s expression, he was confused.

“Hello! I see all! And know all!” Pandora spoke. “Oh boy.” Cole said, showing the same expression as Kat back when she had seen Pandora for the first time. The Shifters giggled as he shook his head. Pandora whispered to Aki as Cole stared at the doll. He was expecting a trick but… Aki was not just some professional, she was beyond that.

“Really? Are you certain, Pandora?” “What is it?” “It seems that you three’s future… will be long and struggling. But for Kat and Cole… their fates cannot be changed as the two will face the unlikely dark forces. But Macgrath… are you willing to let Kat go?” “Why do you ask?” “If she is willing to decide her fate, even if it means sacrificing her life for this world, are you willing to accept her choice?” Cole heard this. He too had made choices. Even sacrificed himself for humankind. It’s not like he had a choice, even if he did, it would have been selfish. But Cole has humanity in him when time comes to saving the world.

“I do.” Cole simply said as Aki looked at the Conduit. “Cole Macgrath, your words seem certain. If your willing to do so, I understand. Your future together… it is unknown how it turns out.” Aki said as The three heroes looked at one another. Raven walked away as Cole looked at Aki for a moment. “Aki, if I may ask, you can’t see any further?” Cole asked, “That depends, I am certain that you’ll come by to see me again soon.” Aki replied as Cole stood up.

“We’re done here. Thanks.” Cole said, “And Mr. Macgrath, I’ll send the bill. Thanks for visiting Pandora’s Fortunes.” Aki said with a smile.

Cole, Kat and Raven stood at the edge where the pipe house was close by.

“There goes our grocery money. That fortune teller is something, but why does the g*dda*n price has to be high?” Cole asked as Raven crossed her arms.

“Hey… do you think what Aki said is true?” Raven asked, “She’s never wrong. At least she didn’t hand you a letter.” Kat added. “I…” before Raven could say anything, Cole decided that it would be best not to talk about the outcome. “Let’s go.” Cole said, grabbing a hold of Raven’s hand. “Where are we going?” Kat asked.

“Gonna get something to eat. I got plenty left on me so… you girls hungry or what?” Cole asked, Raven smiled as she nodded. “Yeah, I’m hungry already.” Raven said as Kat smiled, seeing the two forgetting the bad and focusing the now.

The three will be ready when the time comes.

Night time had came as Cole slept on his couch. Kat came out of her pipe house as she came to see Cole. She tried to wake him up as he groggily opened his eyes, lifting himself up as he was shirtless.

“The hell? You know what time it is?” Cole asked as Kat blushed at the sight of his muscular build. “Sorry, I couldn’t sleep. I wanted to check up on you.” Kat admitted, Cole sighed as he felt the breeze of the night.

“Do you mind if… if you can sleep inside with me and Raven?” Kat asked, “Hey, I ain’t here to make things uncomfortable. I’ll-” Kat interrupted Cole as she grab ahold of him.

“No. Your coming in and that’s final.” Kat said as she bring him into the pipe house, the two made it in as Raven slept about. Cole wasn’t sure if he wanted to do this but Kat insisted.

Kat grabbed his hand, setting him next to Raven as he sat down, Kat went towards her bed as she rested about. She watched Cole as he set his cover onto him as she dozed off.

There’s a lot to think about and whatever happens, let’s hope it’s for the best.

Ah man. Gravity Rush is so much fun, I learned a trick from the speed runners that used the Gravity Kick spam.

“Oh really, how does it work?” Cole asked.

When you use the gravity kick, you quickly push L1 and then R1 and press square to use it again, once you get used to the pattern, it’s no problem.

“Ohh, that’s pretty cool. And did the devs knew about it?” Kat asked.

Well not exactly. Like I said, the speed runners have done this to make it faster for situations, and there’s also a Gem manipulation in the game when you try to buy the Gauge Meter. It’s tricky but you have to time it right.

“That’s like cheating, isn’t it?” Raven asked.

“Nah, not exactly. Well maybe. I dunno, it wasn’t like some kind of hack. Just a glitch.

A useful glitch unless you played the game very well. It shouldn’t be a problem for most players unless they know how to execute the gravity kick combo.

“Ok… what’s this all about?” “Turn around.” Cole did so as his eyes we're in surprise to see Kat and Raven’s new attire. Kat and Raven wore tight suits with matching helmets, for Kat she had a tail for her suit, Cole chuckled as he couldn’t believe what he was looking at.

“Cole. Eyes up here.” Kat said as Cole cleared his throat. “Right, sorry. But holy sh*t, the outfit’s are pretty impressive.” Cole commented, “Your too kind. Well Syd gave me this outfit to go undercover. As for Raven, he made one just in case she ever needed it.” Kat said, “And I don’t. This is ridiculous. This feels tight, but I have to admit, it’s not- Ah, Macgrath! Where are you staring?” Raven said, “What? I was looking to see if you two had a cape around somewhere.” Cole joked as The two gave him a comical dull expression.

“Calm down, it’s not like that at all. You two look amazing.” Cole said as Kat smirked for a moment.

“Oh? What’s amazing about it? Is it because how attractive I look?” Kat teased, “Hmm… maybe.” Cole said, teasing back, “Unbelievable. I’m gonna change.” Raven replied, “As usual, doesn’t make sense that Raven wore a revealing outfit. Right Cole?” Kat spoke once more as Raven eyed at her best friend.

“True. Especially her leggings.” Cole said as Raven turned to him. “Macgrath!” Raven shouted as Cole turned to her. “Hey, Kat’s the same as well, remember? Her romper outfit-” Cole stopped for a moment as Kat growled as he blinked for a moment. He hummed as he thinked fast.

“Oh man, I almost forgot, Aujean is serving triple chocolate fudge ice cream at the shop today.” Cole spoke fast as the two looked at one another, Cole hightailed out of here with much speed so he wouldn’t make things worse. The girls saw this as Kat sighed.

“This was your idea you know.” Raven spoke, “Well he did like what he saw. His expression was so funny. But it was pretty adorable.” Kat replied laughing. “I suppose. He didn’t drool like the other men up above. I was worried for a moment about this outfit you gave me from Syd.” Raven said as Kat smiled at this.

“It looks good on you, and that expression from Cole said a lot.” Kat giggled, the crow girl sighed as she went to change.

As Cole, Syd and Chaz chatted about, Kat snuck right behind the Conduit as the two officers eyed at the Shifter. “What?” Cole simply said as he turned to see Kat.

“So this is where you are.” Kat spoke, Cole noticed the Shifter is still wearing the Black Kat outfit, “Hey Kat, I thought-” Kat stopped him from talking as she came close to the Conduit.

“I have something to say to you.” Kat said in a serious tone. “Ok. What’s up?” Cole asked, the guys stared at each other as they were clueless.

Kat came to his ear and whispered. “After your done hanging out with Syd and Chaz, come by at the pipe house. I wanna have a ‘session’ with you. I’m gonna wear the outfit, but for our session… I’m gonna give you…” Kat whispered, hearing this, Cole’s face blushed as Kat smiled in a flirtatious way as she walked away and winked. “Oh… Da*n. She’s too much.” Cole said, smiling, then chuckled as Syd and Chaz walked next to him.

“Cole? You ok?” Chaz asked, “What did Kat whispered to you?” Syd also asked, “Don’t worry about it. I got a couple of minutes to spare.” Cole said as the two officers stared in confusion.

“Ok. This is it. We might not be able to make it out. But the odds are getting the biggest load out is upon us.” “Cole, please! Don’t do this!” “I’m sorry Kat. We have no choice.” The Conduit stared at the most frustrating object of all, and it was making him even angrier like Blanka from Street Fighter.

The Conduit yelled as he pulled the lever. The slots spun as Cole and Kat waited. The conduit has two cherries and a Bar. “Bullsh*t. I almost had it.” Cole said in frustration, “Haha, Come on Cole baby, it’s not that hard to get the matching slots. You just got to feel it. Like at the right moment, you’ll get it like your fishing for something big.” Nix said, pulling the lever.

“Like a big Catfish?” Zeke asked, “What’s a catfish?” Permet asked, “You never seen a catfish? Boy do I-” before Zeke could explain, Nix had gotten the Triple sevens. “Huh. How about that. She got it.” Raven said as Nix collected her reward. “Told y’all. We’re gonna eat good tonight.” Nix laughed as Syd and Chaz cheered.

“Dude, did you see that?” “Yeah I saw, Eugene. I mean how does that lady do it? Wish I had some kind of luck.” “Why complain, D? Not like you could get the Jackpot.” The three Conduits: Delsin, Fetch and Eugene watched as the others stared at the three. They did the same as everyone blinked.

“Do we know you?” Kuo asked, “Uh… not much.” Delsin said as Cole blinked for a moment.

A few hours later…

“And that’s why I called it the pouty Reggie.” Delsin said as some of the others laughed. “Hell, no wonder you bug your brother this much. I never expected an expression like that.” Nix replied as Delsin sighed from laughing.

Cole looked at the three new age Conduits as Kat sat next to him. “They seem lively.” Kat spoke, “Yep. Gotta hand it to ‘him’ though. He sure can bring other people together.” Cole said, drinking his beverage. “I agree. What is he doing anyway?” Kat asked.

…Wait. What was I doing again? Was I gonna write something about Kat’s session with Cole? I know it’s gonna be at the high rating. Ohh… oh wow. It seems Kat’s putting it work on the Conduit. Oh. right. Probably not the best time to mention it here.

Chapter Text

Kat stared at Cole, packing stuff in his bag, Dusty watched as Cole got his stuff.

“So… why are you doing this again, Cole?” “Simple, I need a place to live, you know. Plus with Raven, we don’t want to have any misunderstandings. Kat, you probably want space, I’m not saying that I want to be distant, it’s just… I want to make sure that you need space.” “Eh? For a second I thought it was because of-” “Don’t say that. It’s not you, believe me. The things that happened here, with you coming out of the shower, the bed, changing clothes, I figure you need space.” “Then you won’t be able to live with us. As owner of this sewer pipe your not allow to move. However, we can find a place for you to hang. Besides, you promise you stay with us. Don’t worry about the situations, I happen to get a sneak peak of you changing clothes sometimes, so that’s fair.” “Kitten…” “Now, where are we going?” Cole thought for a moment, Dusty climbed up to Kat as Cole had a thought.

A few hours later, at the building about close to Kat’s pipe house…

“The rooftops?” Kat asked in a surprised look. “I lived up on the rooftops. I figured I have a Tv here, a sofa there, a fence for target dummies, plus I got a view of the sky.” Cole spoke, Kat smiled as she sat at the edge of the roof tops. “Seems you got this plan working out.” Kat said, she stroke Dusty as Cole sat next to her. He noticed a saddened look, the time he lashed at the girl telling her he was ok, because of a tricky looking Nevi injured him. As he remembered that day, he hurt Kat’s feelings. The time he lashed out at Kuo to control her powers, he didn’t want to forget who he was, nor try to hurt any woman’s feelings. Never again he should lash out towards a woman, or anyone in general. Seeing the tears coming out of her, he immediately apologized to her as the two talked.

Now seeing her cry again made him feel really bad. Raven would have taken him down for making Kat cry, just the thought of her throwing him into the sky from below makes him have a second thought.

“I’m not going anywhere. I only wanted to make sure I wasn’t making you feel uncomfortable or violated.” Cole said, Kat cleared her tears, turned to him, looking at his blue eyes, Kat shook her head as she caressed his cheek.

“Cole, you of all people should know this.” Kat replied with her sweetest smile, she approached the conduit with a passionate kiss, Cole returned back as Dusty meowed. Kat held his cheek, the conduit was in trance of her kissing. As they separated themselves, Kat gave him the smile he loved so much.

“Your always welcome. My home is your home. You don’t have to go your way of getting your own place to live just because of misunderstandings. Your a gentleman and you’ve proven that. But I know there are times you take a peek. And yet you have no problems what so ever.” Kat spoke, dulling her eyes, and to Cole’s surprise, a smug smile appeared as she crossed her arms.

“Uh…” “Oho… looks like Electric Man gets it.” Kat and Cole stared for a moment, the two laughed as everything was settled. “What are you trying to do, Kat?” Cole asked as he laughed. “I don’t know, I just figured I convinced you in a way.” Kat said, giggling.

“Your just being adorable as always.” Cole said, “Huh, your so honest. Charming the Gravity Queen like that.” Kat teased with a smile.

Cole had a thought. He doesn’t have to move at all, Kat did a lot to provide Cole to help around. On the other hand, he did cook for her and Raven one time, and he couldn’t believe that he had it in him. Staying with Kat meant a lot to him. The adventures and the misadventures. All of this was worth it, if he wanted to do this again, he would love to bring Zeke, Kuo, and Nix to Hekseville. In his heart, he know nothing will take this away, the slice of life, the relaxation, the joy, everything.

“Maybe I won’t need to move. However, I should have this place, like a training spot.” “That’s a great idea. I should chip in. I wanna get stronger too.” Cole smiled as she laughed in excitement. He never forgot how he loved seeing her this happy.

“Cole, your good with martial arts too, right?” “A little bit, with a flying kick, somersault, and so on.” “Then it’s settled, we’re getting the rooftops as our home slash training ground.”

Cole and Kat chatted as the Conduit stopped for a moment. Activating his Radar, he spotted an individual floating above them.

“Raven?!” Cole called out as Kat turned to her, “Raven? What are you…” before Kat could finish, the three turned to a crashing thud. There, Syd, Newt, Kish and The snakerabbit crew, Yunica, Echo, Cyanea, Gade, Chaz, Aujean, and Eugie.

“What’s this all about?” Cole asked as the leader of the snakerabbit, Kish, went towards Cole, “We hoped you reconsider. Breaking the Black Cat’s heart like this, it would devastate her.” The leader replied, Kat blushed in embarrassment, “Everyone… it’s fine now, he changed his mind.” Kat said as Raven landed next to Cole.

“Even if he did, I got a lot to say, giving him a long talk.” Raven said, staring at Cole. “Did you tell everybody?” Cole asked, “I only told Raven and Syd but… Syd? Did you tell everyone about this?” Kat asked as she glared at the detective comically. “Well…” “Syd!” “Everybody has been noticing you two talking, so we figure-” before Syd could say anything,

Cole watched as Kat gave Syd a scolding. Smiling at his friends/family, he’s just glad that Kat understood his feelings.

“Kat, Dusty is acting funny again.” Cole said, “Huh? Dusty, what are you doing?” Kat asked, Dusty’s glowing red eyes shown as he stared at Cole.

“Is that normal?” Delsin asked, “Yeah, for Dusty’s case. He’s staring at Cole with such tense.” Kat replied, “That if he just wants Cole’s attention.” Raven added, Dusty and Cole had a stare down as the others watched. Cole came towards and crouch down to Dusty’s position as the area was quiet. Quiet as a mouse, Dusty did the unthinkable, to Cole’s unfazed face, the space like cat jumped onto the Conduit’s face. Clinging onto him, Kat and the others bursted out laughing as Cole turned to Kat as he walked over to her.

Cole started to mumbled from Dusty’s clinging, the others try to understand what he was saying. “I think he’s saying can you get your cat off of him.” Fetch replied, translating the muffling. “But it’s funny.” Kat laughed as Cole poked her forehead. “Oh all right. Come on Dusty, get off of him.”

Dusty got off as he floated. Cole turned to the girls as they held their laugh as the Conduit glared at the two.

Chapter Text

A tv was set, a couch was put in place for the Conduit’s resting spot. Raven found a spare chair in case for company to relax at the rooftop.

Kat put the rectangular table near the sofa, with Cole taking a transmission box at the corner, Courtesy of Bulbosa from the Conduit’s help with the police force.

Kat shouted as Cole laughed at her a bit. The girl came to the Conduit as he kissed her forehead, puffing her cheeks as she let out a laugh. Raven spoke as the two turned to her, Cole suggested that he loved to have a get together, with Kat agreeing to the suggestion.

The three sat on the couch as they rested from getting the stuff for the new place for Cole to hang. The sky started to dim as they noticed that it was about to be night time.

Raven bought a bunch of snacks for herself as usual, Cole knew she would do this so he got plenty for the three to munch on as they watched TV.

Playing some charades, Kat and Raven laughed about as Dusty and Xii watched. Cole did his best to imitate Yuri, not in a bad way mind you.

Kat started to do charades as well, the three having a good time. She did her best to imitate Aki the fortune teller.

The two started eating hot flavored chips, with Kat hollering and Raven fanning her tongue, Cole simply ate his as Xii made his cawing as a laughter towards the girls. Dusty and Cole eyed at the girls as Kat grabbed Cole’s drink and washed down the flavor.

Cole, turned to a movie that was on the TV, a romcom that caught Kat’s attention, Raven stared as she became uninterested, Cole wasn’t sure but he watched it with her as Raven ranted to change the channel.

Raven read a book as Cole ate some pretzels and chocolate, Kat poked his cheeks, playing around with the conduit as Raven eyed the two, thinking how cute they we're acting.

Cole stretched as he sat next to Raven. Looking at the black and red haired shifter, Cole stared at Raven, she started to stare at the Conduit as she blushed. She flipped her strand of hair as she began to smile as she read. Kat saw the two like a curious cat, smiling of how cute Cole and Raven were.

Kat floated next to Raven, the two stared eye to eye, seeing her cheery nature, Raven couldn’t help but smile at her friend. Kat liked seeing Raven enjoying the company as Cole eyed the two of how cute they bonded.

A few hours has passed,

The three slept as Xii slept next to Raven, Dusty slept next to Kat and Cole, Kat fell onto Cole’s lap as Raven slept onto his shoulder.

Syd had made it to the rooftops as he spotted the three sleeping. Syd laughed as he smiled at the scene. He walked to the table as he put down some snacks.

He knows that he was late, so to make up for it, Syd bought some snacks for the occasion. As he was about to head out, he tripped backwards accidentally as he stumbled close to the three heroes. The detective crashed onto Cole as this woke the three. Raven gasped as Kat shouted, Cole grunted as Syd saw what the scenario looked. The two eyed one another, silence filled the air.

Cole waited to see what the detective would do, Kat looked at Cole, Raven looked at Syd, then Cole looked at Kat’s face, causing her to look at him, Syd looked at Raven’s face, making her glare at the white haired man, Cole went back to staring at Syd as he backed away slowly.

“I don’t even wanna know.” Cole said as he grabbed his beverage.

Extra

Delsin started spray paint a building, a few of the audience watched as he shook the can to get the paint going.

“Uh, Cole?” Kat asked, “Let’s just watch.” Cole simply said as Kat nodded. Raven stared at the Akomish Conduit as he started to paint the first layer.

His professional spray painting skills we're out of this world. As he finished the first layer as if it was used for shading, he went to do the next layer. Kat and Raven we're surprised to see the second layer of what it was supposed to be.

Syd, Chaz, Kuo and Nix joined in as they watched the painting being close to being finish. Delsin sprayed the layers of the main layer by using some colors.

Cole figured out the art piece as Delsin brought the last layer. Zeke, Fetch, Eugene, Cyanea, and Gade came to see as Delsin put the finishing touches. As he finished, the masterpiece was completed.

“That’s amazing!” Kat said, pointing at the artwork. Raven saw how Delsin made the piece with such skill. Cole smiled as he looked at Delsin’s art.

A cat, curious as day, grabbing the fish formed Nevi as the black creature showed a comical flail from the paws of the Cat.

“That’s Delsin for you.” Eugene spoke, “This is pretty good, yeah?” Nix asked as a couple of the civilians of Hekseville see the work of art, commenting on Delsin’s art.

“Glad you folks like it. It ain’t much, but I figure I give it some flair.” Delsin replied, however, Cole and friends saw another individual behind the akomish conduit as a familiar military garb was shown.

“Do you mind asking me why you decided to do this vandalism?” Yunica spoke, Delsin turned to her as he gave his usual snarky smile as he chuckled. “Just helping the environment?” Delsin said as Yunica stared at him.

“It is pretty cute.” Kat bluntly said, making Yunica turned to her in an annoyed comical look towards the shifter.

Chapter Text

All of this felt real. But right in front of him, Empire City is back to normal as it should be. No destruction, not catastrophe, no violence, no villains, no people struggling for survival, All of it is normal as it is.

Cole looked around the city. Somehow renewed from the blast. He blinked for a sec as Zeke called his name, “Hey Cole! Come on over here would ya?” He shouted, his best friend that stood by his side from the beginning, and to the end, he’s still the same guy that always believes in some supernatural stuff, however things are different now.

Cole went to his best friend, the two talked as Cole asked what happened and why has Empire city became normal.

“Zeke, do you know what’s going on? Why is Empire City back to normal, don’t you remember anything that happened? The Ray Sphere, me getting powers? Everything?” “Uh… Ray Sphere? Why are you acting so weird all of the sudden, Cole? And what do you mean Empire City’s back to normal? Your not drunk again, are you? And what do you mean by super powers? You only see those in comics.” “You lived through one, Zeke. I’m telling you, Empire City became a wasteland, I did so many things I can describe as phenomenal.” Cole and Zeke talked as to Cole’s surprise, Trish came towards the group, not only that but Kat and Syd had joined. Kat and Syd… here… in Empire City.

“There you are. Cole, I was wondering where you were. These two said they know you… do you really know them somehow?” Trish asked, Cole stared at Kat and Syd, he nodded as Trish was surprised. “See? Cole wouldn’t forget his friends.” Syd said, “I dunno. Cole never told me about you two.” Zeke replied, “Well you know Cole, he’s pretty shy.” Kat said, Making Trish and Zeke laugh.

‘What..?’ Cole thinked to himself, “He does have good friends. As long as he doesn’t try to… well you know.” Raven appeared next to Kat, Trish nodded as she understood what she meant. “Right. Sometimes you’ll never know what’s in his head.” Trish said, making Cole confused, “Well that’s one thing about Cole, he’s kinda unpredictable.” “Yeah, shockingly unpredictable. Trust us on this one.” To Cole’s surprise, Lucy Kuo and Nix in civilian outfit appeared before him, he turned to the two, the next individuals were Cyanea and Gade.

“Say, how many people do you know? Is there something you didn’t tell us?” Zeke asked, Cole was at a loss of words as Cyanea spoke. “He delivered a package to our place. I got a doll I wanted and thanked him.” “That’s awfully sweet of you. I almost forgot your a courier.” Kuo nudged his sides, Trish and the others commented about his job as a courier, Cole was hoping to take this slow. He was in total confusion as Laroche, Yunica and Chad approached the group.

“There he is, Macgrath! I wanted to thank you again for the delivery you gave earlier. You know your boss should give you a raise for your performance.” Laroche said, Trish turned to Cole as she was surprised. “Ok, seriously… Are you some kind of superhero? Or am I missing something?” Trish asked, Cole scratched the back of his head as he had no idea what’s going on.

“He’s likely the best. Take my word for it. one of the best couriers that Empire City has.” John, the beast himself, as a regular civilian approached the group. “Hey John! How you been?” “Doing great, Zeke. Just came by to see-” “John White. What took you so long?” Kuo and John stared eye to eye as Cole couldn’t believe what he was seeing. John White, in the flesh. His nemesis, now as a civilian, as if the Ray Sphere never happened. Seeing Kuo and John dating was… a warm feeling. Seeing John not being the beast was settling, in honest truth John never wanted the power, but he didn’t have a choice.

“All of these people you have met, you must have done A lot of good, haven’t you?” Trish asked. “Someone has to. Trish… I” “No, don’t worry about it. I’m actually glad I get to know how you helped so many people. Kat told me so much of what you did, I couldn’t be very proud of you.” Cole and Trish smiled as Zeke and the others chatted about.

“How can you be sure if it’s that good?” Yunica asked. “If you been to this place longer than I have, then you know it’s the best.” Zeke added. “Then will have to take your word for it.” Syd added. “We can’t just take his word for it just like that, we won’t know if it’s that good at all.” Raven spoke, “I agree with Raven,if you and Cole said the restaurant is good, how would we expect the service?” Nix asked, “I think he means don’t just judge it by its look. About plenty of people said how good it is, so it has to be good.” John said, “Yes, I’m so glad you understand, John.” Zeke replied. Everyone chatted as Kat approached Cole.

“It’s nice. Seeing them like this.” Kat said as Cole turned to her. “Is this…” “yeah. Pretty much.” “It’s fine if it’s a dream. But I understand what this means. I’m glad to be able to see everyone.” Cole and Kat looked at the friends they made throughout, Xii with Raven was being petted by Nix, Zeke chatted with Laroche, John, and Kuo. Trish chatting with Syd, Yunica, Cyanea, and Gade. Trish and Syd turned to the two as they called them over to the group.

Dusty, meowing to the two was next to Kat. She picked up Dusty as Cole smiled slightly. The two walked to the group as they enjoyed their daily life.

Even though it was just a dream, he slept as the Conduit was being eyed at by the people in the theater.

Cole snored as Kat and Raven stared at the conduit, sleeping through the movie theater.

“Honestly, I just don’t know.” Raven said, “Is the electric man ok?” Eugie asked, “Yeah. Just a rough day.” Kat said as a few onlookers stared at the sleeping conduit. Cyanea stared at the conduit for a while, watching him sleep.

“Come on… I’m trying to watch the movie here.” Aujean spoke as he turned to the conduit. Cole’s electric sparked as the others started to worry if the electricity started to shoot out of place. (Not really)

Extra

“How do you guys get rain around this place?” Cole asked, “That’s a good question, we” before Kat could answer, Syd’s walkie talkie went off as he answered, “Syd here… uh huh. Right.” Syd hung up the walkie talkie as he turned to the group. “I gotta go see what the boss needs, be back in a jiff.”

“Kiss up.” Kat muttered, “When you look at it this way, I think the boss is just doing this on purpose to make Syd irritated.” Cole said, “Seriously?” Kat asked, “Well yeah. Didn’t you have some issues with the lady you worked for as a ma-” “Ack! That’s not important!” Cole stopped as Kat hid her embarrassed expression.

“Of course, Kat is Kat as always.” Raven teased, “Well you haven’t worked as a maid you know. Geez Cole, you had to tease me too?” Kat pointed out as Cole shrugged, “You can’t blame me.” Cole added.

“Hell, she’s really cute when she blushes like that.”

“Ha Ha. Real funny, mister.” “Uh… Kat? I didn’t say that.” Both Cole and Kat looked at one another, Kat seeing Cole’s blush as the three turned to the culprit: Xii.

“Xii? Did you just-” Raven spoke, turning to the two as Xii laughed with Cole’s voice. “You can’t blame this on me, considering the fact that you both look sexy when your angry.” Xii said, Cole was in shock, hearing this as the two turned to him, “Xii, that’s enough.” Cole said, Xii flew onto his head, the conduit looked back at the shifters, giving him tense glares as he kept his neutral expression.

Knowing this he was expecting something to hurl at his face on impact, but then looking at the two, they waited for his response.

“So… yeah.” Cole said as Kat and Raven shook their heads in unison. “Never took you as that type, Cole.” Kat spoke, “Anything else you want to say?” Raven asked, Cole shook his head. “Are you sure?” Kat’s asked, curiously, “What else is there you want to know?” Cole asked, “He is pretty cute when he’s flustered. But then there’s his muscles and abs. No wonder he’s built that way.” Xii spoke in Kat’s voice, evening the odds, causing Kat and Raven to blush like a cherry. Cole looked at Xii as he cawwed in a laughing manner.

“Ok Xii, that’s enough of that.” Raven said as Xii laid onto her shoulder. Raven sighed as Kat and Cole got over the deep thoughts that came from Xii’s beak.

“I’m back. What did I miss?” Syd asked, annoying Kat and Raven as they grumbled. “Bingo?” Cole replied, making things up as he go.

Chapter Text

Kat found Cole on top of the building, chilling about at his own place as he looked at the TV set on the table. Cole watched a western feature as Kat floated next to him.

“Hey.” Kat said, “Hey.” Cole replied back. Kat sat down with Cole, kissing his cheek as Dusty laid next to Kat and Cole, the two watching the movie. Kat set the snacks next to the two, Kat eating pretzels, stuffing her face. Cole looked at her as he smiled at her love of food. 

Raven was the next came floating down, she looked at the two. She smiled slightly, bringing snacks to the party. Hugging the Conduit from behind as she kissed his cheek.

“Hey.” Raven said, “Hey.” Kat said cheerfully, “Hey.” Cole said in his cool tone. Raven hugged the Conduit, nuzzling his cheek and sat next to Cole, watching the movie, Xii landed on Raven’s shoulder. The crow girl nibbled on a pretzel.

Cole grabbed a drink from his bag, popping it open. The conduit drank the beverage, tasting the flavor. Avoiding beer for a while since Kat and Raven are there.

Kat looked at Cole as she blinked, staring at his blue eyes as he stared at the movie. She smiled, admiring his relaxed nature, drinking his soda in case Kat won’t be giving him a stern look. Kat looked at him once more, knowing about his faith from his world, if one day he leaves, just the thought of it makes her saddened. She shook off the feeling as she watched the movie.

“Hey.” Syd spoke, coming from the building as he waved, “Hey.” Cole said in his cool manner again. “Hey.” Kat said cheerfully once more, “…hey.” Raven said bluntly, with a usual expression. Syd sat next to Kat, Cole tossed a beverage to Syd as he caught it. The six watched the gunfight, Xii nibbling a piece of pretzel from Raven. Staring at the tv, Yunica has joined the party.

“Hey.” Yunica and Chaz said as the six turned to her. “Hey.” Cole spoke first, followed by Kat, then Syd, and Raven last. Yunica sat behind Kat and Cole. The conduit offering a bowl of pretzels as the Sea Wasp smiled. Taking the offer, she ate a pretzel as she watched the gunfight. Cole offered Chaz a drink as he took the beverage.

Now Gade and Cyanea had appeared as they see the movie. “Hi.” Cyanea greeted as Gade smiled and waved. “Hey.” Cole spoke once again as everyone greeted the two. Cyanea sat next to Raven as Gade sat behind Cole and Raven.

“Are we late?” Newt asked as he and Echo came by. “Hey, just in time.” Cole added as the two sat down and brought various snacks. Cyanea came close next to Cole as she grabbed a handful of popcorn. 

“Oi! Did we miss anything yet?” Aujean asked, surprising Kat, “Nope, the chase scene just started.” Cole said as Aujean chuckled a bit. Eugie sat next to Cyanea as Aujean sat next to Gade.

“Hey, Electric man! Is this your new place?” Kish and a few snakerabbit gang had came by to see what the place was like as Kat and Syd turned to one another.

“Yep, you brought the snacks?” Cole asked, “You bet.” Kish replied as they set the snacks on the table.

‘Cole. He’s something else.’ Kat smiled as she nuzzled onto Cole’s shoulder.

Cyanea ate a couple of pretzels, Syd drank his beverage as Kat shoved more snacks in her mouth, the chase scene was getting good, Cole enjoyed the company that was gathered here as one of the characters from the movie got shot in a comical manner, somehow making Cole chuckle at the sight and the screaming effect. Syd and the Men laughed, followed by Kat, Yunica laughed softly, then Raven. 

“I don’t get it.” Cyanea spoke, “It's fine. You don’t have to get it. As long as you enjoy the movie and it’s humor.” Cole said, Cyanea nodded. As they resumed watching, to Cole it felt like deja vu.

As night time came about, some of the others have left. Kat, Raven, Yunica, Cyanea, and Syd stayed.

The group except Gade fell asleep. Cole woke up as he looked at Kat, Cyanea and Raven, the three sleeping on Cole’s lap. Somehow he sees a vision of the outcome of their journey. Hazy at first but it was clear, in due time, he and the shifters will be ready.

“I assume that you had a vision, yes?” “Yeah. Right now I just want to focus on the now. With everyone.” Gade nodded as Cole looked at Raven, mumbling.

“How… dare you… it’s not fair… Kat… Macgrath… ice… cream… maid… out… fit… I was… to serve… him…” Raven mumbled as Cole chuckled, he looked at her for a moment to see the crow girl from before that didn’t trust him for a bit, bonded with him. First from strangers, to friends, and now a beloved ally.

“Macgrath… don’t…” Raven mumbled, Cole caressed her hair, calming her from her dreams. Raven smiled as she nuzzled on Cole’s lap. “Macgrath… Kat…” Cole smiled as Kat looked at Cole, caressing Raven as the Gravity Queen blinked. She smiled as she rested about, knowing she trusts him in caring for Raven.

Well… that’s it. The final chapter of this shingding. Thanks for some of the peeps checking out the story, inFamous fans and Gravity Rush Fans alike, even if you like it or don’t, I want to make this an enjoyment for everyone.

“Glad that’s over. You did say you have plans for GR2 cast, right?” Cole asked.

I do. In fact, Lisa and the group are here as of now. Hey Lisa! You and the others can come out.

“They’re here?! Cecie, over here!” Kat called as the other members of Gravity Rush came by.

“So that’s what’s going on. Why haven’t you get them to hang around with us instead?” Cole asked.

I don’t know. Wasn’t sure how I can set this up. Well all of you are here.

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” Kuo called as Zeke and the group came by.

Oh right. I invited them to join as well. Make things lively.

“And what would a party be without some delicious goodies?” Zeke repleid as a buffet was shown.

As the whole group enjoyed themselves, Delsin came down as he dust himself off.

“Y’know, we been here from one of the extras. It’s pretty clear that we're part of the whole shenanigans… she nanigans. Heheh.” Delsin joked, “And just to be sure my little brother doesn’t cause trouble, I’ll be keeping an eye out.” Reggie spoke, “For being a stick in the mud.” Fetch retorted, “Since when have I…” before Reggie finished, Delsin and Fetch eyed at the officer as Reggie sighed in defeat.

“In all honesty, he’s gotta relax a bit.” Eugene mumbled as he sighed. “I agree. With him being Delsin’s older brother, he should get a break.” Cecie said as Eugene turned to her. “And I assume you don’t get out often?”

“Not much. Considering how I get bullied really often and having tough times to chat with other people.” Eugene replied, “Oh. I’m sorry. I don't know much, but consider that you’ll have a great time. I assure you.” Cecie said, smiling.

But you have to admit, Eugene has the coolest power and that’s Video. I never knew that it could work in many ways but man. Summoning minions, a giant sword, turning invisible by using a decoy and have wings when you glide about.

“Hey, I make it look way awesome… Eugene too of course.” Delsin said as Eugene turned away, embarrassed by being praised.

“Wings? Like angel wings?” Cecie asked, Eugene nodded.

As some of the others chat about, The four heroes of the respective series watched about as everyone got to know each other.

“I still can’t believe he topped it off.” Cole said, “It’s pretty awesome to know the other people from your universe. I mean there’s Zeke, Kuo, Nix, the others from the time skip. It’s like an actual party.” Kat spoke, “I don’t even know how long it last. If you guys are good with this, then I should as well.” Raven added. “As long as we’re here, I get to show you guys my art skills. And just so you know, my spray paint are eco friendly, none of those chemicals.” Delsin said as the three turned to him, being peaked at his talents.

“Oh yeah? Can you… paint this logo on my bag?” Cole asked, “Hell yeah.” Delsin said as the four talked.

It’s a full house. But I don’t get paid for any of this. Oh well, as long as they’re enjoying the company.

“So, is this gonna be ok for a while?” Kat asked, “Sure. Not like we’re going anywhere for now. For now let’s enjoy this while we can.” Cole said, Kat nodding as the two joined the group.
