Chapter Text
It had been a productive day at the studio.
Nobody could deny Aleksi had skill as a producer, if his love of creating and playing music had been any less he would have an excellent career helping others achieve their dreams.
Aleksi tilted his head, "this isn't the way we came this morning." He looked at Olli quizzically.
Olli gave him a reassuring smile. "No, I wanted to make a stop first before we head back to Niko's."
"Oh," Aleksi frowned for a moment, "but Joonas and I were supposed to cook together, he's waiting for me."
"It's ok, he'll understand when we get back." Olli told him, pulling up to the curb outside his apartment building.
Aleksi seemed a little dubious, but he followed Olli up without complaint, looking around curious when Olli let him in and turned on a couple lamps.
"This is my place," he told him. "I don't have a spare room like Niko but the couch is pretty comfy." Or you can join me in bed, he thought, quickly shoving the thought away, he needed to be patient.
Aleksi smiled and put his bag down next to the couch "thank you for letting me stay here."
Olli waved him off, "not a problem, Allu. You're always welcome."
His smile turned soft at that and Olli melted at the sight of it.
He knew he couldn't wait any longer.
He crossed back to Aleksi and took his hand, pulling him gently to the couch and sitting down.
"Part of the reason I wanted to come here first" He told him, keeping his voice soft. "Is because I'm going to talk to you about something and I thought it might be easier by ourselves."
Aleksi looked a bit nervous at his words and nodded, unsure what else to do. His eyes widened when Olli slipped his hoodie off, soulmark fully on display.
"This is my mark." He said, brushing a hand down it, lingering on the small bat at the end. "And Joel's, and Niko's and the others too. All five of us."
Aleksi was staring at the mark, reaching out as if to touch it but stopping himself, bright blue eyes looking up at him for permission.
Olli smiled encouragingly and shivered a little bit at the brush of his soft fingertips against him.
"Something you want to tell me?" He asked softly.
Aleksi bit his lip, looking a bit nervous, but shrugged out of the bomber jacket he had been wearing all day.
"Can I?" Olli asked, a hand on the end of his tshirt sleeve.
Aleksi nodded, eyes still wide and a startling blue.
Olli lifted the short sleeve and looked at the matching soulmark going down his bicep. He brushed it the same way Aleksi had done with his. Tears had began to spill down his cheeks and Olli wiped at them with his thumb.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I... I..." Aleksi seemed speechless and Olli pulled him into his arms, letting his soulmate cry into his chest.
When he finally had calmed down, he stayed pressed against Olli, wrapping his arms around him to get closer.
"Sorry." Aleksi said into his chest.
"Don't be." Olli soothed, running his fingers through his hair, "just talk to me."
"I didn't think I would find all of you at once." He hiccuped, "I just... I couldn't process it for a moment."
"That's ok, I understand." He hummed and held Aleksi a little closer, kissing the top of his head. "We should get going though, the others are asking where we are."
Olli had told them that he was taking Aleksi to his place first to settle in, but they had grown impatient.
More specifically, they were alternating asking if they had gotten lost, fell in a hole, or were having a bromantic dinner by themselves.
Joonas was demanding his fellow chef be returned to him if they wanted to have home cooking anytime in the next year.
He let them know they were on their way and stood, offering his hand to Aleksi and intertwining their fingers as they walked back to the car, an adorable blush spreading across his face.
When they got back to Niko's, Aleksi hesitated for a moment outside.
"It's ok," Olli assured him, a hand on the door, "they're the same guys you know."
"It's different now." Aleksi told him, biting his lip again.
"Is that bad?" Olli asked, brushing his thumb across his knuckles.
Aleksi looked at their intertwined hands. "No," he said softly.
Olli led him inside, refusing to drop his hand. The others shouted out teases when they heard them approaching, Tommi's eyes zeroing in on their hands immediately, an eyebrow raising.
Olli called for Joonas to join them, the platinum blonde making a ruckus in the kitchen.
"Already behind schedule due to you kidnapping my sous chef." Joonas huffed as he came around the corner "what-" he cut off as he noticed their hands, falling silent.
Olli gave Aleksi a nudged with his shoulder. "Go ahead." He whispered.
Aleksi let go of his hand and lifted his sleeve up so the others could see his mark, Joel practically launching himself off the couch to get a closer look, pulling Aleksi into a crushing hug when he realized what he was looking at.
They didn't bother cooking that night, ordering delivery instead as they had a lot to talk about.
Aleksi had quickly relaxed with them again, tucked under Tommi's arm and Joonas holding one of his hands with both of his. Olli smiled at the scene, everyone elated to have found their little bat.
...
Olli jerked awake, his third death metal alarm blaring out next to his head.
He sat up with a groan, fragments of his dream coming back to him and he smiled, Aleksi would be flying in the next day and he could finally confirm his suspicions.
He might be nervous, but Olli knew as soon as he calmed down he would end up cuddled with them on the couch.
He got ready with a spring in his step, excited for the day.
