Chapter Text
What was he gonna do! Willie was gone, his mother not allowing him back at Hillerska after the Christmas break. He sent one message to him before the new term restarted.
Goodbye. I meant everything I said to you the last time I saw you. Wx
The message was sent from a blocked number. And no matter how many times he texted it the message remained unsent.
Please come back I miss you
I am so so sorry
I love you too
I just want to hold you again.
I have news. Big news. I wish I could reach you
I can’t do this alone
But here he was alone, scared, with a positive pregnancy test that he had no idea could even exist.
The first few weeks of the spring term had been hard. Willie wasn’t there. But everyone had seen the hug just before Christmas so all eyes were on him. No wonder Willie always wanted to keep them a secret. He felt so uncomfortable under the looks of the rest of his classmates. All whispering about unrequited love, star crossed lovers and scandalous love affairs. Their relationship becoming a myth which he is sure will be talked about for years to come, bits of his personal life exaggerated beyond the realm of fantasy into this Shakespearean tragedy.
He hated it. He hated what his relationship, their relationship had become. It wasn’t this grand play with twists and turns. They were just Simon and Willie. Two people who were drawn to each other, who liked spending time together. Who though he never admitted it back, loved each other so deeply that even the Queen couldn’t keep them apart.
Well, that bit is not true anymore. They are apart. Simon now walks alone through the corridors.
At first, he thought the nausea was from all of the looks, they made him uncomfortable and he had assumed that he was just getting readjusted into his new Willie-less existence at Hillerska but, the nausea did not stop. He had started gaining weight but again that was expected as he had quite the rowing team, August’s constant watching becoming uncomfortable even without the knowledge that he was the one who leaked the video. Felice had told him a few weeks into the term after she found him hiding in the music room to get away from all of the staring.
Finally, the nausea had gotten so much however that he went to the doctors. And here he was looking at a positive test which according to the nurse is a one in one million fluke of nature and (he guesses) the illegitimate heir to the Swedish throne residing in his belly.
