College AU ft. The Warriors
(Headcanons)
Possum's thoughts: Enjoy the first day of Warriors Week! These are wholesome headcanons I came up with, I know some people may not agree but I hope others will!! I apologise in advance for the spelling and grammar mistakes and if my wording didn't come off as clear to you guys as it did to me.
Currently listening to: Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi (Linked Horizon)
SLIGHT CURSING, AND A TINY BIT OF DISCUSSION ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH (NOTHING TOO DETAILED)
Pieck Finger:
- my brain suddenly said MEDICINE major or FLORIST
- Both could work (flower shop assistant as a part time job)
- I can see her requesting to have a year off to catch up on sleep and to earn more money
- She enjoys/enjoyed Biology a lot
- Florist!Pieck is the best co-worker, she is helpful and makes beautiful pieces but she's also coldly polite to those who woke up on the wrong side of the bed (which she senses immediately and poor sleep deprived Pieck has no patience to deal with these folks)
- Even if she decides to drop out, she checks up on her friends still in Medicine course (in return they update her on the latest news and gossips)
Annie Leonhart:
- two words. RAGE. ROOM.
- She went there once because Porco invited her along and out of all the Warriors, Annie seemingly enjoyed it the most
- After their time was over, she stayed behind to ask what it takes to work there
- She came back to the place a few times alone not because she felt like she had to, but because she wanted to
- The others were supportive of her idea, saying it's a suitable place for her (meaning it in a light-hearted way)
- Annie enjoys working there, though she has taken interest in Psychology (she wants to understand people better)
Marcel Galliard:
- Economics. (Especially because of this: ,,They [economics majors] also create models to predict the impact of investments, policy decisions, industry trends..." thank you thebalancecareers.com)
- He LOVES to think, chases the satisfaction of solving a problem
- He thinks and plans, he is hardworking and a decent student overall
- May seem like a teacher's pet but I promise you he knows when to let loose (I mean just imagine Porco's face when he saw Marcel in a club, screaming along to Doja Cat)
- though this boy is so tense during exam season please someone give him a good shoulder rub and a few encouraging kisses >:(
- visits the rage room Annie works at and has the time of his life there breaking and destroying the whole room while Annie sarcastically encourages him (A: Really?! Is that all you can do against a fucking wooden plank? I thought you're angrier than that! M: *proceeds to break the plank in half* A: There we go, geez took you long enough.)
Porco Galliard:
- Politics. Argue with the wall /j
- A menace when it comes to debates
- This course was an eye-opener for him about the world (Or he just lives to argue with people for shits and giggles - you decide /hj)
- Not the hardest working student but as long as he manages to get by, he's cool
- Halfback player (though the schedule of his studies and the training didn't match up after a while, so he decided to drop the sports) (his position is on the Offense squad, and he loves it)
- He and Pieck are...seeing each other that's for sure, Pieck is playing hard to get and Porco is hesitant to fall for her (nothing to see here just me spreading the PokkoPiku agenda)
{- Halfback: positioned close to the quarterback on running plays. They take the hand off on running plays and are faster and smaller than the fullback.}
Bertholdt Hoover:
- Humanities major (Philosophy for the win)
- No right answers = no stress over expressing his views
- Found it a little hard to follow at the start but he wrapped his head around it eventually
- Late night philosophy talks with bestie Reiner (who is already half asleep and just humms to let Bertholdt know he's "listening")
- You know who find him almost all the time? Those people who pick random strangers to ask questions from. (XY: What song are you listening to? B: *panics and stutters out the first song he has in mind* Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears For Fears!)
- Of course, over the years he grows to be more social and less afraid to say what's on his mind (okay well he's still working on asking Annie out before Reiner does it for him but trust him, he's getting there)
Reiner Braun:
(this is all gonna be me projecting and carrying out fanfic tropes for this guy but hear. me. out.)
- Coach!Reiner. Yep. Let me do you one better. Women's soccer coach.
- Listen, he tried to study a major he really did. But this man is too troubled already, he couldn't have survived college. (besides Annie, he is the other person to receive the latest news and whatnot, he's also the "victim" of Bertholdt's 3 AM philosophy ted talks god bless him)
- How did he end up as a Coach? I took the Quarterback!Reiner trope, reformed it (meaning I looked up American Football player positions because I'm European don't come for me), took it to another level ---> So now we have Middle Linebacker!Reiner Braun (his positions is one of the Defense squad and we all know he is all about protecting the people he cares about)
- He enjoys sports, he is a muscly and fit guy so I can see him being a personal trainer as well (either as a second job or as a part time one)
- Gabi has a school play? You'll see big cousin Reiner there. Front row. Always. Gabi's parents are busy and she needs to stay the night somewhere? It's ok, big cousin Reiner and Aunt Karina got you. Gabi planned a sleepover but her flat isn't big enough to accommodate 4 kids comfortably? Big cousin Reiner pulls out the mattresses, yoga mats, pillows and even lets the kids have his bed he'll sleep on the couch instead.
- Rather street smart, his soccer team adores him, and after some convincing from Bertholdt, Gabi and his mum he decided it's time to face his demons in therapy (guy is slowly getting better)
Zeke Yeager: not exactly college but it does have to do something with school so-
- This menace to society... A fucking teacher. Yep, you heard it. This blond ass Santa Claus is around kids.
- Teaches in elementary school and his 3rd graders LOVE him (he will deny it, but he loves them too)
- Refers to them as Turds. (Lovingly ofc)
- Surprisingly, he doesn't smell as bad (chainsmoker bitch I know you'd fuckin STINK.) as usual and he teaches well?? He's funny, he jokes and teases the kids (they will never know his secret ass wiping technique D: /j), and his desk is decorated in art from his students
- His class has a mascot, it's guess what? BINGO- A monkey plush. The name was up to debate for weeks because "it doesn’t look like a girl!" "but it doesn't look like a boy either!" (“How about we give it a less human sounding name? Like- Spoon! “ interrupted a tiny voice from the back of the classroom. Zeke waited for any sign of protest but since he didn’t have a better idea either, he played along. “…Spoon? Everyone agrees?“ he asked, looking around for even a tiny headshake of disagreement but he was met with a cheerful eruption of children chanting ‘Spoon’ with a grin on their faces.)
- Hates grading papers and being a substitute for some other teacher
Colt Grice:
- I think he started working instead of going to college
- He wanted to have some money which he earned through hard work bless his heart
- He took whatever job he could find, maybe he was a little too enthusiastic and he perhaps didn't notice he was overworking himself until his parents expressed their concerns
- He gained a nice amount of money, only then did he decide to lay back and rest (he spent more time with Falco, he took some private training lessons from Reiner, he hung out with the Galliards (well mostly Porco who he got shitface drunk with lmao))
- He's a good-looking guy so ofc he's out there looking for love but no luck just yet
- I think he would major in Social Work
School hcs for the tiny ones
Gabi Braun:
- This girl is a chaos goblin (affectionate)
- Hardworking, hot headed and she enjoys looking at her classmates’ shocked faces when they see Reiner picking her up from school (he's a tall man, those little kids have to break their necks to look up at him and some find him too intimidating)
- Her usual friend group consists of Zofia, Udo and Falco (Gabi and Udo are the ones whispering how they'd kick their mean classmate down the stairs while Zofia just rolls her eyes and Falco listens with a very concerned face)
- Her worst subject is Literature
- So curious to learn and goes (0.0) at almost ANYTHING that’s new for her
- Lowkey brags about how strong her big cousin is, telling everyone that he can do push-ups while she sits on his back (but who wouldn’t brag if they had Reiner as their cousin lmao)
Falco Grice:
- One eye always on Gabi
- This boy is the sweetest to have in class (he will try to answer most questions and will go silent for a few minutes out of embarrassment if he gets something wrong)
- Colt teaches him at home in the kitchen (except they actually solve whatever subject is causing problems for the younger Grice brother)
- His hero is Colt ofc
- Gabi, Zofia and Udo like sleeping over at his place because he has a cool galaxy projector they stare at for hours, trying to find shapes and constellations in the stars
- At one point he owned a race car bed
Zofia:
- A true pleasure to have in class (she also keeps Udo in check lmao)
- She looks out for everyone in her friend group
- Enjoys English classes and secretly has a beautiful singing voice
- Appears rather stoic and reserved (Gabi was hesitant to get along with her) but the girls have their own days where they talk about topics they can't when around boys
- Is sent to multiple competitions (where she reaches top 3 almost every time though she knows that being there and effort is what counts the most)
- Her worst subject has to be Art (no instructions make her slightly upset)
Udo:
- Has very strong views on certain things (Eye for an eye logic)
- Best subject is Maths and worst is PE. (The kid has glasses, and he values it more than a stupid exercise his classmates can do better)
- was lowkey jealous of Falco's race car bed
- His vocabulary is growing nicely because in his free time (when he isn’t around Gabi cooking up some mean plans to punish that one kid who yelled at Zofia in PE class to finally throw the ball to someone else) he reads books about his interests
- Special interest is Architecture (don’t ask why and how I came up with this)
- he draws extremely well and Gabi often came to him asking for a drawing or a few tips on how to improve herself
