The Fantastic Love Story Of Lily Evans and James Potter

Summary:

The beginnings of the Potter family never were quite thought out, were they? The couple were meant to be, and no love potion was ever needed to bring these two together.

(i wrote this thinking about a female british narrator idk why but please give this a chance)

Chapter 1: An Introduction To Love

Chapter Text

She was like a calm, amber ray of sunshine. He was like wet pavement after a hard rain. He loved the way she made him feel. The surface pressure that she gave him when the long night had been hard on him. She loved the way he never shied from her, or made her feel wrong for the things she felt were important.

She was pretty, in every way that he could imagine, and yet could never find one thing that he loved more than the other part. Her hair was too firey a red, her nose a bit too narrow for her wide eyes. The storybook green that had encompassed her iris’ on any given day. Her freckles that splotched too much in front of her ears and not enough by her nose or neck. Her shoulders that looked too heavy for a woman and her bust two sizes larger than anyone around her in the class. Her hips that people told her were ‘birthing hips’ and that in her lifetime she would be proud to have. Her thighs, that chaffed together far too much. The stretchmarks all around that she shouldn’t have had but did at such a young age. Her feet, too wide and just slightly too big to be called ‘feminine’. She was the epitome of his sunny day. Because her smile made him smile. Her laugh, that echoed against the stones of the room would echo in his ears late at night. She clapped when she enjoyed anything, and would tear up when a movie let an animal die. She cared for creatures that often were looked over. She remembered small things that people liked and birthdays of kids whose parents never cared. She was like a warm sun in his eyes. Her sweet laugh and loving personality that drew him in like a moth to the flame. And for her? He would gladly burn if it meant to see her one… last… time...

To her, He was cool. When he spoke it was like everyone around listened. Sure it was nonsense half the time but it was funny, and it made her laugh. His hair, dark as coal and often as shiny as a horse’s back, would colour almost violet in the sun. It was never tidy, and would rarely make it above his ears. It never laid flat, and had a mind of its own to hate gels. He never liked his eyes, how muddy brown they were. To her, they were as if the sun had shone on the earth in the prettiest red-brown clay that mixed with green above it. There were portions of green, gold, even a little dark splotches that she felt as if she could look close enough she would fall into them and never return. Every moment that the caught each others eyes it was as if she never knew what colour to call his skin, nor what sounded right to call his iris’. He was thin, arms a bit too long for his torso, legs a bit too thin. Hips that were so thin they looked breakable. If someone did not know how much he ate and how well he ate too, they would think his family would be starving him. While his knees too knobbly, and his face to thin, his smile was wide and toothy. There was a snaggle tooth that a friend accidentally punched so hard it knocked it back into place. It was one of his favourite stories to tell, and something that always made them laugh about. To her, he was never a calm moment, nor somewhere that she had to be at. He lifted her spirits and never had a dull thing to say. He was positive about everything, and when he got the chance he would make her feel as if she was the strongest force in the world. Because to her, he was the strongest wind and the fastest horse. He was everything she wished she was and completely completed her.

To someone reading this out of place, or somewhere you think you ought not to be in, you may think that the story you are about to read is just about a boy and a girl who were in love with each other and you would be correct. However this story is about two people whose love had become so amazingly bright that even the darkest, ugliest eldritch beings sought to destroy it. And sadly, the dark did kill them, but their love left a legacy far greater than anything that could have come after. This tells the tale of a woman that loved too fiercely, and a man who fought too strongly for the world to let go of. To the heroes of this story, whose love created another hero you are much more fortunate to know about, take a seat, for you get to learn about what was once known as the Love Story of Lily and James Potter.
