Prince Achilles, son of king Peleus and goddess Thetis the sea nymph. He was said to be the best warrior of his time. He grew up in the kingdom of Phthia and lived with his father and some boys his father took in. one of the boys would be someone Achilles called his friend. He would take hundreds of lesions for the lyer, it was one of his best skills. It was said his voice was like a gift from the gods, he would sing for his army to lift their spirits. He never took a wife that was known of but it was said he and Patroclus had a romantic relationship, often spending nights together in war or in domestic life. The rumors were denied but they would do everything together. Together at age 11 Achilles and Patroclus went to study with Chiron until they were 16. At 16 it was announced that Achilles would go to war against Troy to regain a kidnapped queen. At first Achilles refused to go to war and disappeared to an island known as skyros. He was said to have a son with whom we do not know the mother. After achilles got back to phitha he started planning for war. As they were ready to head to try via boat Achilles got a spear from his mentor, Chiron, one that was made for him and him alone, it only fit his hands. As they were stopping on an island to rest for the night, the wind stopped. They were stuck on an island for two months with no wind. They spent two months on the island with no wind, it was hotter than anything you could imagine. After two months a girl was sacrificed and the wind returned. Once they got to Troy, they set up camp with Achilles and his army set up by a forest. As the war raged on Achilles and Patroclus grew closer with a lady Briseis, she was a Trojan woman they saved. A few years after they got to Troy the actual war broke out. Achilles was destined to kill Hector but vowed not to. After agamemnon had taken briseis from Achilles leading to Achilles not to fight in the war. There were hundreds of deaths of Roman soldiers. Once patroclus decided to take on achilles place leading to patroclus's death by hector. After Achilles found out of his death he spent days trying to get him back. After a few days Achilles went to get revenge on hector. He had to fight through a god in order to get to Hector and kill him. After Achilles killed him he kept the body until the king of Troy went to claim the body and resulted in Achilles death. His final wish was to be buried with patroclus which was granted. He was given a proper burial on the beach of troy where only his name was displayed. Thetis wanted to honour Patroclus and gave his name on the grave for Achilles, letting the two be together again in the afterlife.
