Chapter Text
Chepi wasn't sure when exactly Asra had left, only that they had left sometime during the night when she was asleep. It hurt a bit that they would never take her with them or even tell her that they were going on one of their long adventures, but she understood. She was only an apprentice, and one with serious amnesia at that. The only things she could remember without getting one of her dreaded headaches was her name, Asra's face, and that she was from the South.
She sighed glumly as she got ready to lock up the quaint little shop she currently called home. It didn't feel right without Asra there, it never did. But who was she to control the actions of the person who taught her how to be a functioning human from the ground up, the first face she remembers, and the teacher of all her magic? No, she supposed she had no control over the wandering soul that was Asra.
With that thought, she bustled about cleaning the bottom portion of the shop, not expecting any visitors, especially at this time of the day. That's why it was such a surprise when she heard a knock on the door. She scrambled to open it, wrenching it open to see... the countess of Vesuvia herself.
