She was a simple girl with a simple life. Never asked for too much nor did she except much. It was a brief afternoon and everyone was in the Great Hall as they dine into their lunches. Owls were flying in and out through the wide windows and heading to all four of the tables. Lavender never paid much attention to it, since her parents barely send a letter unless something drastic happened. She stills thinks about her rabbit, Binky, and his surprised death. Her housemates though that she was crazy when she defended the 'great' class of Divination but she sensed something within her. Though the shining attention of Harry Potter, pushed her talent deep down. Lavender played around with her food and her eyes glazed over Ron Weasley. She sighed dreamily and mentally counted each freckle that she could count from her distance. She knew that one day he would be hers and vice versa. She continued to watch the ‘Golden Trio’ and their daily shenanigans.
"Quit staring at the Weasley spawn. It's creepy." A person snorted as they shoveled a spoonful of potatoes into their mouth. Lavender shook her head as she came back to her reality and turned her attention to them. "Aspen!" She giggled as she twirled a curl of her hair, "It's not creepy, it's love." Lavender sighed dreamily.
"It's not love, it's just a silly girl school crush. Must be the rush from all the fame he gets these last couple of years. If I was him, I would have made a dash for it and ditch Potter's arse." Aspen ticked as they glared their amber eyes into Lavender's hazel ones.
"That's what makes him so cute. Besides if Granger doesn't make a move soon, I am going to make mine. Ronald is too blind to see when someone is in love with him." Lavender had a goofy smile plastered on as she made her way to her apple juice filled goblet. She slipped her drink and made the movement to get up to go back to her normal schedule. "Come on Aspen, we must get to class early." She giggled as she reached out her hand towards Aspen.
Aspen shoveled the last bits of food into their mouth and pocketed a few pieces of bread and fruit and took follow, "Just so you can watch Weasley walk into class?" Aspen weighted their bag over their shoulder, "What has this world become to?"
Lavender giggled and dragged Aspen out with her and passed by the 'Golden Trio'. "See you later Ron!" Her smile beamed across her face as Ron smiled back and waved to her as well.
"All that just for a smile and wave?" Aspen questioned as they munched on some of their bread.
"When you find that someone, you will feel the same." Lavender said as she skipped out the Great Hall.
"Perhaps I have." Aspen whispered under their breath and went to chase after Lavender.
