Work Text:
Jack stood in the dark desolate restaurant, only the sound of rain and scuttlers could be heard. Occasionally the distant tapping of metallic feet could be heard. The man stood there, the time for all of the years of torment from Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria would be over soon. The victims would be able to rest in peace soon.
He had already told Roger that his employment with Freddys was over and wished him well. Everything that he had worked for would be gone, he'd make everything right. He would do everything right, even if it costed his life. Even if it costed him never seeing Peter or Dee again.
It had to be this way, he made a promise and he'd keep it. He expected that the part of Dave's soul still on Earth would be here soon. Part of him wished things were different but there was no time for regrets as this had to end.
Jack clutched a piece of paper stating his will, he wanted the victims of the Freddy Fazbear chains to be able to finally rest in peace. Kids would be safe here once again, no more lives would be cut short.
Most of the exits were already sealed, he only had to do a few more finishing touches. He regretted not being able to see his siblings ever again but he also regretted not being able to see Dave again.
Jack really had wanted to spend more time with him. Dave looked distraught as he left the flipside for the final time, that stayed with him. These feelings tore at him ever so slightly.
--------------------
His heart was conflicted. This was Jack's end. There was nothing for him as he watched everything burn around him. Even Davetrap was already melting on the floor. He was alone. It was over - everyone got to see their happiest day, except Jack.
He stared ahead, noticing the real Fredbear. The bear gave a nod of approval. It was over. Henry's poison could no longer seep into the world. Freddy's would die with Jack's restaurant. Most importantly, Jack would be able to rest knowing that no family would have to endure what his did.
There was no undoing the past. There was no changing his fate. Yet, it felt fitting. This was the route that Jack chose. He could've chosen an easier way out. He could've abandoned his promise to Fredbear and simply join Davetrap. Yet he didn't.
A faint smile formed on Jack's face. There was no future for him. He could feel the flames burning around him. There was no escape. When he would close his eyes - he knew that all he would see was nothing. He would simply cease to be. At the end of the day, that's all he ever was - nothing. He wasn't human. He didn't have a soul. He simply existed to fulfill a promise. Now it was done. There was nothing more for him.
Truthfully, he was scared. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to never think or dream again. He feared the idea of never feeling the nice, soft feeling of a blanket again - or the great feeling of petting a cute dog. There was a void ahead of him. A void that had absolutely nothing - no sounds, no smells, and nothing to feel. He would be long forgotten. Yet wasn't that the point?
It was never about Jack - his body. It was always about his soul, his family, and all those who were wronged by Henry Miller. The poisonous man was dealt with. Jack took pride knowing that Henry was gone for good. It made everything worth it. Even if he didn't get to pass on with his family.
--------------------
The fire began to catch up to Jack, the end was very close. He had fulfilled his promise, he'd cease to exist now.
He wished he could at least see everyone one last time or even pet a dog for the last time. It felt now like he had taken all of that for granted. In the end, everything was worth it to him. This wasn't about him being selfish.
He began to reflect upon the days at the old Freddy Fazbears locations. He remembered all of the events where kids had gone missing. He remembered Dave and Henry, he remembered everything. Jack even remembered helping Peter to remember his old self and helping to free the lost souls of children in the old locations. Hardly any of that mattered now.
He remembered going to the diner, expecting to celebrate Dee's birthday and only finding the police. At least none of this would occur again by Henry's hand.
The restaurant began to fall apart behind him, he could hear the sounds of wood crashing to the ground and the screams of Dave burning. The fire had begun to circle around him, this was it.
He felt the searing pain begin to shoot through him, he let out a scream of pain. His will dropped to the ground near him. With the gasoline still on him, he was in flames in no time.
Soon, he went stiff as he breathed no more and the flames lapped up at his corpse.
Henry's poison would die with him. No more children or any employees lives would be cut short by Henry.
This was the end of all Freddy Fazbears was.
