Ace jumped into the next world, barely escaping these odd things chasing him.
He sighed with relief, catching his breath.
Looking down, he observed a clean white platform, in a pitch black void.
He looked up. Three gods stare down at him.
They observe him, unsure.
He falls onto a beach.
Ace’s Unfinished Journal - Recovered from {???}
Day 1
I tried to recall how I escaped the last world.
But I can’t.
There’s nothing there. Most recent thing I remember is waking up near a small grey pillar.
I looked around. There’s a small civilisation here, most likely newly getting built. Lights are scattered all around the dark forest, the sun beaming down on incomplete houses.
I had so many questions.
And I prayed to the gods for an answer.
My prayers were answered.
Day 3
Its been two days since I got here. Crash-landed here, perhaps.
I’ve discovered I’m a jellyfish. Space jellyfish, to be exact.
Normally, I know I should- or would, leave this world, and travel to another one.
Instead, I stay.
Why?
I don’t know.
I know only that I’m a jellyfish in a new world.
It piques my interest.
There’s something different, I feel.
Something better.
Day 12
I’ve found the other “space jellyfish”.
We live together in an ocean.
I’ve learned local dialect, and I believe, if I studied correctly, this place is called Quill Kingdoms. I’m part of the Overworld Kingdom.
It’s so different compared to Neptune.
But what I’ve learned is.. Space jellyfish aren’t actually jellyfish. None of them are. Just like me.
We’re different.
And that’s what unites us.
“Cryptids.”
Ace has not written in their journal since then. The pages remain blank.
