Work Text:
Guys dont like me.
New day, new problems. This is how Amelia Watson always thought, who always calmly walked to the university, knowing what was waiting for her there. She has a beautiful girlfriend named Gawr Gura, whom she of course loves and adores with all her heart. Everything was good as always, too good to complain about a wonderful day, but apparently Amelia did not predict one thing. She sat quietly at lunch with her best friend Calliope Mori, with whom she studied at the same faculty. As usual, they talked to each other on various topics that came to mind, joked about each other and were generally like sister and sister. Gura was in extra classes at that time, because she usually also has lunch with them.
There was another topic that two friends were talking about. It was calm, even too calm, when there is usually a booth in the dining room or something like that. But this did not embarrass them in the slightest, on the contrary, it even made them happy, because they were not lovers of noise. Everything would have been fine further: Amelia was talking to Calli about interesting facts that she took from her head, and the girl listened to her. Then Amelia began to feel someone's gaze on her, as if drilling a hole in her. And then she feels someone grab her by the shoulder and pull her back.
“Hey!” Calli's gruff voice cuts into this as Amelia is lifted off the floor by the collar of her shirt. She gets up from the table and approaches them, trying to remove the student from the blonde, but two guys from behind grab her by the arms and prevent her from doing so. “Are you crazy? Get your hands off my friend!”
“Boss, should we shut her up?” One of the boys asks, obviously referring to whoever is currently holding Amelia. He turned to them, which was his mistake, because at the same moment Amelia bent her legs, and then stretched them out to hit the guy's stomach. “Boss!”
When both of that student's friends were distracted by him, Callie had a chance to get out of their grip. She kicked the knees of one of the guys, who, in a moment of pain, let go of her hand to grab at the sore spot. Until now, their unthinking friend had not managed to block the blow that flew into his stomach. He doubled over in pain, falling to his knees, unable to move. Calli stood behind Amelia's back to help her if they raised a hand against her again. The two guys who had taken fewer hits came in front of them, one in front of Amelia and the other behind him like Calli. Around them, a crowd of students who were nearby had already gathered, even one of the teachers stood in the middle of them, clearly not in a hurry to do something.
“And what do you want from me?” Amelia arched a skeptical brow as she looked into the eyes of the boy who never took them off her. They look like something bad is about to happen. “You know, swinging your fists at a person who is clearly older than you is inadequate of you.”
“You know Gura, don't you?” He asked, ignoring her words. His face was serious, but Amelia restrained herself from laughing, because it was very funny. It was as if her father was standing right in front of her, chastising her for yet another mess she had made.
“Of course I know. So what?” She said, folding her arms across her chest and straightening her back so that the difference in their height was very noticeable. “By the way, almost everyone in this university knows her.”
“Don't go near her again.” He muttered, clenching his hands into fists. His stance became unsteady when he said those words, but he still tried to hold on and looks like nothing is bothering him.
Amelia lets out a chuckle, either from misunderstanding of his words, or from ridicule. She leans down so that their eye levels are equal and squints them. “And why is it necessary?” She asked without taking her eyes off the boy, who was clearly starting to get nernervous”
“I told you not to go near her, you didn't get it?” He hissed, taking a step forward. Calli, behind Amelia, tensed up and was about to intervene, but she was interrupted by the palm of a blonde who appeared in front of her. “If you don't follow my order, I will force you.”
“Well...” Amelia put her hand to her chin, looking thoughtful. It seemed that the gears began to turn in her head, but it seemed only to those who did not know that in fact she was just doing it. A smile appears on her face before she pushes herself off the invisible wall and takes a few steps back from the guy. “You know, I thought about it and decided...I thought it was funny, so I'm sorry, I'll disobey the order.”
“That's...” The boy smirked as he realized that victory was in his pocket, but then reconsidered Amelia's words, after which his face contorted into anger. “Do you even know who you're rejecting?!”
“Some half-wit from the first year, who thought that his whole world was under his control.” Amelia replied with a shrug. She became more bored when the guy continued to introduce the same thing into her. But then her nerves, which were already the limit, broke and she abruptly stood next to the guy, grabbing his shirt. “Listen here, you little shit.”
She heard the apprentice gulp and smile, too softly and joyfully to show the anger that now filled her. “Go learn your lessons and don't even come near me, and definitely don't come near Gura. I don't know what your stupid head is up to, but I know for sure that I'll be the one you'll see for the last time.” Amelia practically growled in his face, causing the boy to shrink into his shirt and a bead of sweat run down his forehead.
“Children! Guys!” Finally, the teacher got tired of waiting for a fight to happen in order to linger some more. He passed through the crowd and stood in the middle of them. “Let's not quarrel, and go to our blocks? Our doctor will not treat those who simply decide to resolve relationship issues.”
A frustrated howl of students was heard around, and after a few minutes a crowd of people dispersed from boredom. Amelia stood next to Callie and told her that this kid's mouth stank, as if he had eaten all the garlic. Of course she laughed, because the way the blonde can quickly change the topic of conversation from serious to ordinary is amusing. After laughing and listening to a few "kind" words from that guy addressed to them, they headed for the exit. It was at this time that Gura's extracurriculars were due to end, so Amelia decided to pick her up and told Calli to go to her room.

Walking down familiar corridors that, while not nostalgic, bring back some old memories of her freshman years. For each course they have separate blocks where they can study. Amelia is now in her third year and therefore studies in the third block. Each of these buildings are far from each other, but sometimes it turns out that their activities can be joint. Now Gura has to leave the history room, so Amelia, as usual, leaned on someone's locker, looking at her watch, and starting to wait for her girlfriend, who should come out any minute. The fact that the corridors are empty at this time is a common theme. Lessons are different for each course, for some they end early, for others late. There was an idea to get a pack of cigarettes from the left pocket of her trousers, but she immediately remembered that Gura hates this smell of tobacco, so she postponed this idea for later.
Minutes passed and she finally hears the voices of the students, and then the door opens and people come out. Amelia puts her hands in her pockets and waits for a white-haired girl to step out of the crowd. And finally, she notices the white top of her head, which goes straight to her, and then she sees the girl herself, who smiled at the sight of her.
“Ame, you're here!” She says, and climbs to hug the blonde, who also returned her hugs, burying herself in a thin shoulder. “How long have you been standing here?”
“Fifteen minutes, at least.” She answers, or rather mumbles into the shoulder of the white-haired girl. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, Ame!” Gura speaks and finally pulls away from the blonde, who is whimpering at the loss of the hug. “Don't be a little baby, sunshine. We'll hug again when we get home.”
“A whole day without you... I hope I get more than a hug.” Amelia says the last words with a mischievous smirk.
Gura chuckles and pats the blonde on the shoulder before walking forward. “Let's go already!”
“Hey, don't go so fast!”
the end.
