Chapter Text
Spring had finally arrived. This time however was different from all the others. Hanagaki Takemichi and his two best friends Chifuyu and Hakkai have just graduated from high school.
As it stands the three of them were lying down on soft grass basking in the sweet breeze. Watching as the clouds drifted by occasionally they would point out the shapes of the clouds. The longer this went on, Takemichi found himself dozing off. Stopping seconds only by Chifuyu’s voice.
“Don’t you guys want to do something? I mean I don't mind being here, but this is getting boring.” Stretching his limbs as he brought himself to a sitting position.
“Like what?” Hakkai asked in a still sleepy voice. His body curled up like a cat. With a sigh, Chifuyu stayed silent observing the other two. Remembering his phone he pulled it out.
“Wanna call the rest of the guys? See what they're up to?”
From afar where the boys were, a little girl in pigtails watched with an amused smile on her face. Chifuyu was the first to notice her happily skipping toward them. Holding a basket with a red bow engraved in the middle. By now she was right in front of them waving her dainty hand at them.
“Hey, big brothers what are you doing here?”
Finally sitting up, Takemichi was the first to speak. “Uh… Who are you?” Judging by her appearance he assumed she was most likely in elementary.
“Oh, that's right, my bad. You can call me Kitty big brother. What about you?”
“… Takemichi, this is Chifuyu and the tall one is Hakkai.” Pointing at his two friends. Just as he finished their introductions, Kitty jumped in excitement running toward Hakkai. Clasping her hands together, her face bright red.
“Shiba, right! I'm like your biggest fan! Wow, you're so handsome up close!”
Ah, so she was one of those girls Chifuyu thought. Looking back at his phone. Ignoring the situation as Kitty continues singing praises to Hakkai.
“I’m happy to see a cute girl like yourself is my fan.” Sending her his signature heartthrob smile. Which only fueled the girl.
“Is there anything I can do for you?”
“Don’t sweat it, kid, we're on our way to see our friends now.” Chifuyu said, gathering his belongings and standing up.
She ignores him as her hand goes inside her basket fetching out a red lollipop. Extending her arm to Hakkai. “Here take it, think of it as my appreciation for you.” Grabbing it, Hakkai thanks her. Watched as she ran off into the distance waving back at them.
“Bye-bye big bro Take, Fuyu, and Kai.”
“Nicknames? Seriously?” With another sigh, they make their way out of the small hill they were once laying on.
╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭
“Here catch.” In his hand was none other but the red lollipop that Kitty gave to Hakkai.
“What? You're not going to eat? She's your fan, right?”
He shrugged, informing Takemichi he's not allowed to take treats from fans. Unless they were evaluated by his agency. Sighing, Takemichi took it out of its plastic wrap and popped it into his mouth, tasting the cherry flavor.
“Ok so wanna stop by the cafe? Mikey, Baji, and Tora are there. We can order some food or something.”
“Sure let’s go I can go for a quick bite, what about you Mitchy? A vanilla milkshake?” Dropping his arm around Takemichi’s shoulders causing their bodies to touch. Nodding in approval the trio makes their way to the cafe. And despite Takemichi complaining about Hakkai’s weight on him, the model simply ignored him and kept his arm there. Letting go once they arrived.
“Yo, Takemitchy! Over here.” In one of the booths of the cafe was Mikey greeting them with a cheery voice. Although to be more precise he was greeting Takemichi with a cheery voice. Sitting across from Mikey were Baji and Kazutora both presumably finishing a game judging by Baji’s victory smirk and Kazutora’s hunched shoulders.
After exchanging a few words with them Chifuyu took a seat alongside Baji while Takemichi sat beside Mikey and Hakkai by Takemichi’s side. “Hey you three, order whatever you want. Our friend over here is kind enough to pay for your expenses.” Baji said, patting Kazutora’s back, his usual grin painted on display.
“Shut up you bastard, and you three better not go overboard or I’ll wring your necks.” Eyeing them as Chifuyu and Hakkai shrugged him off and proceeded to read the menu. Takemichi was the only one who kept it in mind whilst reading the menu.
“One triple-layer strawberry parfait and a chicken apple salad. Oh and one lemonade. Thank you Kazutora.”
“And for me, a chicken carbonara, freshly squeezed orange juice, and of course a berry fruit tart, thanks Kazutora.”
“I’m seriously going to wring your necks out.” A vein could be seen popping out of his forehead. Followed by a groan. “Are you not going to order anything, Takemichi?”
“Hmm…a vanilla milkshake is fine, thank you Kazutora.” Abruptly as he finished thanking him, a loud buzz sounded off, feeling their pockets the vibration was coming from Takemichi. Pulling it out he checks the collar ID.
“Mom? What's up? Eh?... Oh yeah, I’ll be right there. Love you.”
“Takemitchy is everything alright?” Mikey asked, watching as he made his way out of the table. Ready to exit the building.
“Yeah, everything is alright she just called saying she wanted to celebrate me graduating with some lunch and a cake she bought.”
“Aww, that's too bad, oh well enjoy, and don't forget we'll meet up again later tonight at my house. We also want to celebrate with you.” Finishing his statement Mikey and the others wave goodbye to Takemichi as he does the same. Disappearing once he slips out of the door.

With sniffles and choked sobs, Takemichi once again is engulfed in a tight hug courtesy of his mother. Proud of her son for making it through high school. Ready for the next phase of his long life.
“Oh, mom please stop crying, you're going to make me cry even more. Plus your makeup is going to get ruined too.”
Brushing off any tears that come running down. She also does the same for her beloved son. It takes a while before they find themselves back at the kitchen table. Bringing out the chocolate cake she purchased at the local bakery. Slicing it up even before giving him a slice.
“Congratulations on graduating Takemichi.”
Taking the fork in his hand, Takemichi wastes no time digging into his slice. Savoring the sweet chocolate flavor. Next time he's with his friends he’ll get them to try it out too.
“Say Takemichi, can I ask you something?” his mother voices out her dark grey eyes looking at his bright blue ones.
“Yeah?”
“So do you by any chance have a girlfriend? Maybe a boyfriend perhaps?”
What?
“Uhmm… why do you ask?” Ignoring his cake for the time being. Wondering where she got the idea to ask about his love life so suddenly.
“Oh well, it’s just that your little blond friend seems to be very close to you so I thought that maybe you weren’t telling me something.”
Which blond friend is she talking about?
“Who?”
“The one with the big chest. Or is it the one with the black eyes?”
!?
“Ahh-no, Mikey and Emma are just friends that’s all there is to it.” Resuming back to eating his cake. Wanting this conversation to die down. And stay dead.
“Well, I’ll just say this once but I personally like the Tachibana girl and Kaku-chan. I think they are your best options, Takemichi.” Smiling at her son sweetly.
“Can we please just drop this already?” She only laughs in return much to Takemichi’s demise.
╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭
“…”
“…Augh! Now I can't stop thinking about what mom said. Whatever I doubt, any of them would seriously consider me in that way.”
That being said, Takemichi could still feel the heat from his cheeks. Of course, he continues to ignore it and lets his mind wander elsewhere.
Fishing into his pockets he pulls out the plastic wrapper that once had the lollipop inside. Standing up and making his way to the trash can. Unfortunately just as the wrapper was sucked into the black void. Violent coughs came one after another. Causing the boy to slump on the floor.
“Takemichi! Are you ok! Hold on, I'll go get you some water.”
Crouching down to his level and placing her hand on his back, rubbing soothingly. She watches as her son slowly calms down. A thin sheen of sweat forms on his forehead. Catching his breath Takemichi reaches for the glass of water, taking a couple of sips at a time. “I’m fine, thank you.”
“Oh, Takemichi, I hope you’re not coming down with something. Go to your room and rest up for a bit.” She stays in place until she hears the sound of the door locking. Worried written all over her face.
In the meantime, as Takemichi lays down a certain young woman roams the streets. Looking for her younger sister. Coming across a pair of guys who look to be around her age. Repeating her question once again. “Have you seen my little sister?”
They stop their chattering as the one with the dark hair opens his mouth. “Is she a runaway or something?” Assessing her face to see a relatively calm expression on her.
“You could say that.”
His other friend wearing a small bun lets out a sigh. “Why don’t you just tell us what she looks like?“. Drinking from his soda can.
“Well, she’s tiny 11 to be precise. She’s the embodiment of the color red beside her hair. And last time I saw her she was—- …. Oh.”
“Oh?”
“I have to go now.” Before either friend could stop her. The girl took off a hint of worry on her face. Within a sec she was gone from their sights.
“What the fuck was that all about?” The one in the bun questioned dyed yellow locks framing his face. But as weird as the situation was it soon left his mind because oh well not like the situation was anything serious, to begin with. Resuming back on their track, the pair continue their walk.
“…”
“…So how did that date go with that senior of yours?”
“ Shut up or I’ll punch you in the face.”
╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭
An hour has gone by now since Takemichi went upstairs. And so far it seems to have worked with no sound implying otherwise. So as his mother sits on the living room couch, turning the pages of the family album for the umpteenth time. Does she finally hear it, a crash?
Followed by a stumble of footsteps and finished with an “Eeeeeehhhhhh!?” With no other choice, she gets up to go see. Not hearing another peep during her small trip upstairs.
“Takemichi is everything alright? I heard a crash.”
“Huh?”
Ok so yes perhaps long ago when Takemichi hadn’t even been conceived did she fantasize about having a little girl. Doing all the things a mother does with her little princess. Dressing her up in cute outfits and teaching her the ways of life.
But…..
Now she can’t help but think “Was I lying to myself, do I still want another child?”.
Takemichi wasn’t sure what to do. He just wanted to get another glass of water. So he got up and grabbed the empty glass and headed downstairs. When he took notice of the sudden weight on his chest that was not there before. He shifted his gaze onto the mirror and realized what it was. Breasts.
“Soft.”
The sudden crash jolted Takemichi, staring down at the broken glass. In an attempt to avoid the shards that were scattered around, she took a step back and by mistake slipped onto the floor due to the blanket laying on the floor. This now brings the current situation.
“Mm?…. My voice too huh? Mom, did I just turn into a girl?”
“Takemichi, I think I’m going to rest for a bit. Ugh, I knew I shouldn’t have had those last two drinks.” With the door closing, Takemichi is once again left to figure things out.
╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭
Checking the clock it read 8:30 pm, and in the meantime, it was early. Remembering the broken glass, Takemichi fetches the broom downstairs. Disposing of the contents into the garbage.
Deciding to then take a shower as a way to be fully awake. “Ah… yeah, I am a girl.” Still, tonight's shower was nonetheless relaxing. Better yet, Takemichi didn’t find much difficulty in choosing a set of clothes. She’s just glad that they fit, ignoring the tightness that came with them.
“Hmmm, this should work just fine.” Settling for a pair of white shorts, a white tank top under a black shirt, topped off with a red hoodie. And yes in case you’re wondering, Takemichi is sporting gray boxers. Now being fully clothed the petite girl stared into the mirror, concluding that she didn’t look all that different from before. Minus her now c-cup size breast and ass that seemed bigger or was it always like that?
“What should I do now? Where should I even begin?”
With no other option left, Takemichi went to the streets. Trying to get a clear mind on her new situation. Pacing around trying to recall any moment today that could have caused this. Another sigh came out as Takemichi’s phone rang for the fifth time now. “…Mikey.”
“Geez, how many times I gotta tell you these aren’t toys!” The sudden voice caught her attention. She stayed still listening to the voice.
As the scolding continued, Takemichi thought that maybe she shouldn’t listen given the fact she was practically invading their privacy.
“But big sister! I didn’t mean no harm, I swear!”
Never mind sometimes the only way to get what you want. You have to say “fuck the rules”.
“Kirara, you have to understand that these aren’t something you can play with. They can easily cause trouble for others.”
“I know but it’s not like they—…. Big bro….”
“What?”
Slowly Takemichi made her appearance, landing her eyes on the small girl. Confirming that yes this was the same girl from early in the day. A mix of disappointment, excitement and dread surfaced on her. Her eyes shifted from Takemichi to her big sister.
“Kirara…. What’s the meaning of this?”
╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭
“Wait so let me get this straight you're telling me there’s no way for you to fix this?” The older girl shook her head. Rubbing her temple in annoyance, having to explain herself once more.
Looking at the night sky, she laid it out simply for Takemichi. While yes she couldn’t physically do anything in the regard to breaking the spell, there were two alternatives. One calls for Takemichi to be in an intimate setting with her lover, or to wait it out.
“I’m sorry again for the trouble my sister caused. But it shouldn't be long before you turn back, give it a week or so. C’mon Kirara let’s go.”
And so Takemichi was left alone, alone to contemplate the new info presented to her. Standing there dumbfounded, unsure of what to do now.
Takemichi guessed she could live like this for a while. I mean what’s the worst that could happen? Right?
