Summary:

Eclipse got hurt saving a staff member's life, the golden Freddy statue that sat in the atrium fell and Eclipse was caught underneath. His chips are amazingly undamaged, so they are sent out to a separate facility to have a new body made.

When he's gone longer than anyone anticipated there is talk about him being decommissioned, Sun and Moon try to stay optimistic but eventually they just lock themselves in their room where only Foxy can reach them.

Notes:

Someone asked me how Sun and Moon would react if they thought Eclipse was dead/decommissioned.

So I decided to be a turd and torture my favorite pair of twin.

Chapter 1: Eclipse’s Accident

Chapter Text

For the fist time since Sun and Moon’s creation, they were alone. Sure they still had the Glamrocks, but Freddy wasn’t their father.

Eclipse had been patrolling like normal, it was quiet for a Thursday. There were very few people and for once the daycare was empty, it was a peaceful sort of quiet.

The loud crash from the atrium and the sudden distressed ping had both Sun and Moon racing towards the front. They didn’t know if animatronics could vomit but they wanted to.

The golden Freddy statue had somehow fallen, a staff member sat on the ground nearby hands over her mouth and shaking. She told the other staff that arrived that her and Eclipse were talking when she heard this crunching sound. Next thing she knew Eclipse had picked her up and tossed her right before the statue fell.

Eclipse’s top two arms could be seen sticking out from under the fallen statue, the weight had created a deep hole in the ground with Sun and Moon’s father trapped underneath.

It took several hours to slowly lift the statue, when they did Sun screamed and Moon started swaying almost passing out.

Eclipse’s entire body was crushed.

His legs, which had probably been bent so the staff he tossed wasn’t high up, were bent and broken underneath him, his second pair of arms were bent at an odd angle, there was oil pooling underneath him and when someone was lowered in to try and retrieve him pieces started falling off.

An examination of his body found his chips intact, so it was decided that Eclipse’s chips would be sent out. When his new body was made they could install his chips and test him there to be sure that he was in working order.

Nobody was sure how long it would take, Sun and Moon had to be temporarily shut down because they kept trying to go with him. When they woke up Moon went quiet and refused to talk to anyone while Sun wouldn’t stop crying. Eventually management chose to shut the daycare down until the two could work again.

Three days later, when they were told their father’s chips had made it, they decided to reopen the daycare.

A month passed and Eclipse still hadn’t returned, there was talk about him being decommissioned. Sun tried to stay optimistic. Moon still did his job, but as soon as the daycare shut down for the night he hid in his room and refused to leave.

Eventually Sun did the same, they had to have human staff clean the daycare at the end of the day because both lost any motivation once it was closed. Both Sun and Moon never let it show that anything was wrong around the children, if any adults approached them they would become nervous and twitchy.

Two months passed and the daycare was run exclusively by human staff.

Sun and Moon stopped leaving their room, Foxy was the only one who could get in because they barricaded the stage door with a dresser and other heavy objects. The fox would only say that they were still alive but unwilling to leave.

Nobody knew how to help, so they left the twins alone.
